The fact that I was unable to rectify my booking details after I put in the wrong date for the second room I booked, therefor had leave the booking as I would not like to lose my money if I cancel it. The was no views to the city from the room I was in. This suggest that really, potluck reviews because someone else will look at it from a different angle!

숙소는 5성급답게 깔끔하고 서비스는 최고였음. 매일 침구 정돈을 해주면서 아이의 잠자리 인형을 예쁘게 놔주기도 함. 한국인 직원분이 계셔서 짐이 많았는데 옮기기도 편하고 우버 이용도 쉬웠음. 야외수영장도 이용하기 편히며 온수풀이 있어서 몸을 녹이기 좋았음 위치가 중심가는 아니지만 달링하버쪽 구경히기에 적격이며 해양박물관에서 3분 정도 거리임. 바로 앞에 콜스가 있어서 장보기도 좋음. 가족관광객에게 강추함

The best place to stay, fresh, clean and just perfect place loved it.

Beautiful rooms, very clean and also amazing service

Fabulous modern facility and our suite upgrade was over the top- huge living space 1.5 baths and the bathroom had a shower room.

I didn't realize the hotel was adjacent to a casino, which is usually a negative for me. The presence of the casino nearby was invisible. The hotel is immaculate with high-end technology, and the staff performed at the highest level I have experienced in recent history. Literally, it was more professional than the best hotels in Paris and London. My only concern is that the shower floor becomes very slick as soon as you turn on the water, requiring caution throughout your shower. Other than that, it was perfect. Great restaurants nearby, and we walked to downtown Sidney and the best shops.

Had an excellent stay. Staff were beyond helpful and great support.

Great 5 star property. Just what we needed the night before our flight out of Sydney. Friendly staff, easy check-in. Valet parking was a little high $. Breakfast was mediocre at best.

Wonderful reception staff, and housekeeping were amazing - thoughtful little gifts each night during turndown service. Lovely separate pool in the Darling to relax at.

Clean environment and friendly staff.

We stayed at The Darling at the Star to celebrate our 25th anniversary and to attend the Luke Combs concert at Homebush. We had a great stay, the staff were friendly and the amenities were fantastic. We would stay there again.

The room was very comfortable but it’s the staff that make this hotel rate so highly for me. They are all so friendly and make you feel special 1 and I feel they are genuine. Really nice atmosphere- thankyou!

Great hotel!

Super friendly staff. Service was so good. Never had to wait long for front desk to answer the phone or send something up to you. The housekeeping room clean and turndown we’re impeccable. Conveniently located, with a big grocery store across the road, a couple cafes, a casino with restaurants next door and walking distance to darling harbour. Just wish the gyms were bigger (there’s access to a small one I. The hotel and a slightly bigger one at the star casino next door).

Great stay

First time staying at this hotel and we loved it plenty of options and we had a lovely view from our room. We stayed in the jewel spa suite was well worth it.

Overpriced

Certainly not a five star property. More like three and a half stars. The staff was not rude, but not friendly, which is fine unless you advertise a five star property. Room was just ok. Linens were not five star quality. Sheets were decent, towels were worn. Carpet was dirty. There are fantastic hotels in Sydney, this is not one of them.

Fantastic stay. Easy commute on L1 light rail from Central. Hotel smelt amazing as you walk in, one of the best hotel pools I’ve seen & great security. Only thing missing is its own restaurant for buffet breakfast, you use the Harvest Buffet which is part of the casino. I’d definitely return here.

Great Location & Beautiful Room

Beautiful room. Great location. Ultra-modern. Not many places for clothes. Everyone was so friendly and helpful for anything we needed. It was a great stay!

Well located hotel - don’t have to deal w/casino

I liked the suite we got. Spacious; a true suite that one can close off the living room (with panel doors) from the living room. I was pleasantly surprised about the location. Walking distance to Darling Harbor which meant good restaurants to choose from. There’s fireworks every Saturday night in the summer at 9 pm right outside Baia Restaurant. Took ferries to Circular Quay and walked back. Delightful!

Great two days in Sydney

It was wonderful. Great location and neighborhood is full of small places to eat and drink. The staff went out of their way to assist us whenever we needed help. The casino next door is interesting.

Perfect in everyway

The bathroom countertop was super grimy and definitely hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Plus, the basement parking was a hassle. When we got there, the receptionist told us to take the lift next to the service desk for the basement. We waited for almost five minutes, and then another guest kindly let us know that the lift was actually out of order. So, I had to walk to the lift in the next building just to access the complimentary parking. I also requested for a room on a higher floor so we could catch the New Year’s fireworks, but I didn’t realise until the last day that our room wasn’t high enough for a good view. It was such a frustrating stay.

The best 5 star hotel in Sydney highly recomended. However, not many menu for breakfast to choose so we did not order breakfast.

Our experience at the Jewel Suite fell short of expectations, especially considering the price. The atmosphere wasn't ideal, as the crowd could be rowdy at times. Around the pool, we found some guests to be inconsiderate, which affected our overall enjoyment. Additionally, the small spa—our toddlers' only option for play—was under maintenance on one of the days, adding to our disappointment. We also had an issue with a forgotten USB cable. While the customer service representative agreed to post it back to us, they failed to inform us there would be a charge for this service, which felt misleading. Overall, the experience did not offer good value for the money spent.

Location

I have to say we have travelled to many places over the years and this is the nicest hotel room we have ever had. It appeared to have everything you could need and comfort as well. The staff were lovely, shout out to Kevin who assisted me with a payment issue. This Hotel Is attached to the Star, with light rail underneath and is also only a short walk to Pyrmont Bay ferry. I definitely intend to stay here again :)

Very nice hotel and very nice stay. We had the jewel suite for almost two weeks and it was spacious, beautiful and the service staff was excellent. The gym is too small but with the facilities at the star it is absolutely fine. But as I said, great team, great hotel and very well located with the ferry, train and Darling Harbour directly in the neighborhood.

Modern, spacious and super clean

The Darling at The Star is an up-market hotel in a fabulous location, perfect for business and leisure trips. The rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. The short walk across the bridge to the Sydney CBD is enjoyable and there are many great restaurants and bars in close proximity.

We had an amzong experience duringnour stay. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were beautiful and exceptionally well appointed. Could not recommend this place enough.

Once to try was enough

Pool area was not attractive at all- 1 lady had 7 chairs taken (with towels) but not even there - left over drinks everywhere- with food containers also Check in not welcoming - Check out - not a “how was your stay”

Our stay could not have been better. Upgraded to spa suite. It was amazingly spacious. Bed was a little hard but it was acceptable. Loved loved loved it

I’ve stayed at a number of Sydney hotels over the last 2 years. I went back there because of the experience the first time, and it didn’t fail this time. Great rooms and even better staff. If I’m fortunate enough to be back in Sydney there isn’t a choice where I’ll be staying.

A great location to see Hamilton and an event I had in Darling Harbour. Travelling solo, I felt very safe with easy transport late at night. Lovely staff, a beautiful spacious room. Everything you need. Loved the complimentary water as well. The shower was a bit odd, I couldn't figure out how to keep it hot but with less pressure. I've never had a hotel shower that had really high water pressure, very good for washing your hair so it's not bad, just a bit odd that it wasn't able to be lowered without lowering the temperature. Lighting was good, but I found the digital pads a bit hard to see...especially in the dark. The night light in the bedside table was really cool, but one of the tables kept flashing on and odd (switched it off at the wall). I liked that feature though.

It’s always a pleasure staying at The Star. Good facilities and amenities. Great hotel vibe and having its own light rail station is very handy when going around Sydney CBD. Also has plenty of dining options inside the hotel and around the area. I also love that they have a massive parking area and it’s free when you book a room there.

The room was absolutely state of the art. Wireless phone chargers built into the bedside tables. Floor lights and soft lights that turn on when you go to the bathroom at night. Electric drapes. Great technology that was simple to operate. Flawless!

It was a lovely night stay

Everything great except for a fire alarm that went off in middle of night and made it hard to sleep.

Fantastic room. Weird having to go into the casino to eat - glad we weren't travelling with children, as we weren't aware of this when we booked.

Service was top class, room was perfect and the cleaners were exceptional, down to the little touches of how they left our belongings neatly and phone charger tucked under the pillow for easy access, dining options are excellent, especially black bar and grill. A short walk over the bridge and you have many more bars and restaurants also

Staff was helpful and it was quiet. I didn’t like the checkout procedure. I was unable to enter my room to get my bag because the key card was not functioning properly. We had to wait quite a while to get a manager to open my room.

I couldn’t find anything negative Their service quality is 💫 The staff went above and beyond . The breakfast was so good with a variety of food . So many restaurants around The bay is closed by and the rest of the transport I think is the best location to stay close to the city center.

Stayed for one night and really liked it. Good location and amenities. Would come back again.

5 Star Indulgence

Fantastic upgrade to a suite with seperate lounge. 5 star indulgence. Cafes and convenience store downstairs. Star Casino next door. Valet parking was $50 but worth it. Staff great, will stay again one day.

Great experience for a quick stay. Check in was delayed after check in time but was given an upgrade to compensate.

I enjoyed the 5* cleanliness (pillows a tag old and flat and protector had uncleaned stained ) and the heated pool, staff were courteous like it supposed to be in hospitality, yet most 4* hotels lack off in Australia. 5* with the discounted rate, would be gladly considered, but not value for a room in a full price tag and no water views.

The property and the staff were fantastic. We would definitely stay again.

Very relaxing

It was fantastic, on arrival with 2 teenage grandchildren I was told I was updated. It was awesome, overlooking the harbor. The staff were very welcoming. We were going to the Lyric Theatre.

The best customer service. Really appreciate the helpfulness of the staff. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

We like the location of the property. It's public transport friendly all the way from the airport. Its quiet and away from the touristy side of Sydney's CBD. Yet, it is walking distance to almost everything. The amenities are modern and at the highest standards. The best part of our accommodation experience aside from the actual hotel itself was its staff. We meet Lisa, probably the House Keeping Supervisor/Manager who happened to be around when we came back to our room whilst it was being cleaned. Lisa made sure that our room was replenished in time and politely reminded us to let them know if there is anything else, they will be gladly to assist.

Exemplary service

Beautiful hotel in great location to get around Sydney. The true treasure of this hotel is its staff. We travel extensively and the service by every single staff member at this hotel is exemplary. An absolute credit to the hotel. The warmth and genuine hospitality is the best we have encountered. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious and serviced twice daily.
