Mooie kamer strategisch gelegen

Toen we vanaf het station in de namiddag aankwamen twijfelde we even over de locatie van het hotel. Een wat duistere straat aan de zijkant met veel zwervers en graffiti. Hier kwamen we al snel op terug. De straat was prima qua veiligheid. Het hotel bestaat uit meerdere gebouwen in Italiaanse style. We werden netjes naar onze kamer gebracht. Lift is aanwezig. Kamer is ruim, we verblijven met onze dochter, haar bed past er makkelijk bij. Helaas de meeste ochtenden wel vroeg wakker door de waskarren die over de keien gereden worden. Locatie is top, dichtbij metro manzoni waar de A lijn rijd. Je benr zo door heel rome. Housekeeping is netjes en nauwkeurig. Wij zouden nog eens terugkomen.

Bathroom smelled badly when we arrived.

The smell was overwhelming when we walked into the room. Upon checking the bathroom, we found mold throughout. The blow dryer didn’t work, and when we requested a different room, we were told the hotel was sold out. We tried opening the window for fresh air, only to find the air conditioning units directly below—blowing hot, musty air. Absolutely disgusting They refused to reimburse us for the night stay.

I called in advance because flight changed. I had to pay for an extra night and the manager didn’t try to compensate at all. He has an “oh well” attitude. The staff for the breakfast was amazing and hard working. The room smelled like mildew plumbing pipes.

Great hotel! It could be easily a 4 star hotel if they had a swimming pool. I would definitely return.

Not confortable at al

The property itself is not bad but right across the street there is an abandoned building with homeless sleeping on the street. The surroundings are very dark to walk around at night. Not at all what I expected, dissatisfied.

The property was clean, stylish and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was not the best in Italy, but ok. Nice outdoor patio that served cocktails...

Excellent Service!!!

Very cosy hotel. Very comfortable and clean. Mr. Tamer at the front desk was extremely attentive to our needs. He provided excellent service. Was always ready to assist us. He has made our stay a very memorable one.

Below Average

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. First of all, there's no coffee machine in the room, which is ridiculous considering they charge extra for both coffee and breakfast. There is no iron in the room but there’s a dry cleaning service which is expensive so you can guess why they didn’t put an iron in the room. On top of that, I had my iPhone charger stolen from my room!!! The bathroom was a nightmare – I found bugs crawling around, and the shower was filthy. To make things worse, the hotel is located in a dangerous neighborhood where walking at night feels unsafe, and it's definitely not reasonably priced for what you're getting. The heat in my room didn't work, making for a very uncomfortable night, and the WiFi signal was terrible, cutting out constantly. Overall, this hotel was a major letdown. Stay somewhere else if you can.

It was small and clean in a decent neighborhood

Excellent service and food. When I return to Rome, I would like to book the cross hotel for another stay.

Not seems safe enough, not enough restaurants close

Pros: Easy to park, friendly staff that speak English well and were able to get us checked in early Cons: Our door lock was broken so it was hard to get in and out, we had to carry a physical key. The AC doesn't get turned on until you are in the room with the key in the slot so it was very hot in the room when we were gone all day. The shower was INCREDIBLY small. I could barely move my arms and there was no shelving to put any of my shower products. The room was on a busy road and was very loud

The area have easy access to taxis and buses, it was far from the main attractions. The hotel was clean, the staff helpful. The area around is dirty, maybe unsafe but we didn’t have any problems.

Fantastic hotel, rooms, and staff!! Great outdoor bar/patio area and the hotel has a kitchen and serves food. Sadly, the surrounding neighborhood does not look that great - beautiful old buildings completely covered in grafiti. Seemed safe enough in the day, but not well lit at night. Not a lot of restaurants in the immediate area.

Beautiful property in good location at reasonable charge.

Improvement opportunities: fridge didn’t cool at all (staff said it was normal), the led lights of the window make it really difficult to sleep at night, they need to make larger curtains to properly block the light, the corner where this hotel is located is too noisy (from 7am to 7pm) you can hear cars honking, and people yelling at the street.

Found ants located in ok area.

I would stay here again. Friendly staff, clean hotel, great AC system. Hotel location is not walking distance to major sight seeings, and trust me, you don’t want to walk during the summer in Rome. If you have a big family, be prepared to pay for expensive taxi rides. However, if you can ride an e bike or e scooter, you can take it to go every where and will save so much money. Breakfast is mediocre! But it was 10 euros

Great hotel, very nice rooms, facilities and staff, well located however slightly dodgy outside, but quick and easy to get safe transport into the Centre of Rome

The property is nice but the location isn’t. Inconvenient. Not so much dining areas to choose from. What I didn’t like most during my stay was the AC didn’t work. I brought it to the front desk attention a couple times but didn’t even cared to check. Just imagine how warm and uncomfortably inconvenient it is for us that night. I even contacted expedia customer service and called the hotel that night. Their reason was no other rooms available. A simple effort or a floor fan would have helped us with the inconvenience. Opening the window would have helped but the noise outside is another thing sice our room is next to the street level. I definitely would not recommend this hotel.

The establishment was not entirely satisfactory due to unpleasant odors in the hallway and the room itself. The decor is outdated and in need of renovation, making it not worth the price.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Facilities are very good except for no lift at certain levels. Breakfast is very good, and we would recommend this hotel to our friends!

Checkin was easy, the staff were able to organise an early check in which we appreciated as we used the day to explore Rome. We were allocated a room on level one in the main building overlooking the restaurant/bar. The room itself was very nice. The main bed area was spacious. The bathroom was small like most European hotel bathrooms. The shower was ok but there was not any decent water pressure or constant heat. A big negative was the noise. The restaurant bar closes late and there is clinking of bottles thrown in the bin regularly and the soundproofing on the windows were non existent. The other negative was the hotel hosted a private event in the bar right outside our window. Not an issue normally but we had a 5:30 am flight. When j went to find out how long the noise would persist at 11:30 pm they said half an hour max BUt the noise and event didn't finish until 2:30am which was extremely annoying as the people got louder the more drunk they were. The staff did turn down the music somewhat but doesn't help that you could still hear the individual conversations from the room even with the window closed.

The Cross Hotel and its actual property is wonderful. Alex was most helpful on our first night with getting us acclimated. The area surrounding the hotel and Rome in general needs to be cleaned. A lot of litter surrounding the hotel. But the room was very clean and modern. Absolutely, no complaints.

From the reception Mgr (starts with a G) and Claudio the bartender were amazing. The room was nice and always cleaned. I had the best experience thanks to them. Friendly, courteous and they will take care of any problems. The breakfast had a great selection even though i only drink tea and croissants lol.. Claudio the bartender was amazing and very personable, if i needed anything he would take it to the garden so i could drink my beer and have food.. Even the taxi driver was great, they use electric cars and the driver is so nice and speaks a few languages so u will never feel out of place. Amazing experience would recomend to anyone.. Thank you to The Cross staff again

Nice clean hotel , staff were lovely very helpful. We walked from train station about 15 to 20 min. Easy walk to bus stops and places to eat. Hotel held our lugage and arranged ride to airport.

This is a hotel I would definitely recommend and stay again when I am visiting Rome! The location is close to many restaurants and even the Coliseum. Walking in the surrounding areas gives you a great feel for the less crowded Rome. The hotel cleanliness was superb and the hotel staff was attentive and excellent. Went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The breakfast and Garden Bar is a great addition to the hotel and having a glass of wine on the roof top terrace after a long day of sight seeing was incredible. Highly recommend!

Had a good stay! Room was nice, staff was kind. Room was spacious and cleaned every day. Breakfast was ok had everything to start the day. Not super exciting. Metro 6 minute walk from the hotel. Know it only goes until 21:00!

The property was beautiful and clean. They have a nice outside garden bar with music. Breakfast was worth the money, lots of options. I would stay again. The only downside was the neighborhood, homeless sleeping on mattresses not to far from here. I thought this could be a seedy part of Rome, but Rome in general was seedy no matter where you stay. Graffiti on all buildings in good neighborhoods and bad.

Great hotel if on a budget

A great hotel short cab ride to the centre of Rome especially in the hot weather! There was a lift and air conditioning! The staff were knowledgeable and experienced! Our breakfast was really good! The area was a bit shady! But the fact we could sit and have breakfast in court yard was a lovely experience! We even had a nice little balcony!

A last minute booking so we had little choice. Overall OK with no major problems. But it was very disappointing to charge us an extra E25 per child for our 2 small children even though we only asked for one cot, as there was no space in the room for a second cot. Breakfast not included.

We booked this hotel in an ‘emergency’ due to cancelled travel plans on our way from Paris to Florence. We arrived at 1am in the morning and we chose it because it is very close to the train station and we had to catch a train at 6.20am. The concierge was fantastic. Checking in at 1am and out again at 5.45am, he was there to help us with baggage etc. I also liked that the property seemed to be in a gated/fenced area, which is locked at night. It was clean and comfortable, albeit we were only there for about 4 hours sleep. :)

Great value and location

The worst hotel I have ever been

The hotel is far away from anything. A lot of walking and many steps to get to the room. They do not help with the luggage. The room is not clean. There is only soup and shower gel in the room. I asked for toilet paper and I had to go to the lobby to get one. There wasn't a safe and a kettle in the room even though they publish there are. We asked for a taxi for 4 people with 4 pieces of luggage and they ordered a regular small taxi.

Very nice little compound the hotel makes up. Very clean. Staff were nice, only real complaint was wifi was spotty and kicked me off a few times. Excellent place for breakfast, DeSantis Santa Croce and dinner, La Taverna Italia for dinner among others. Off the beaten path a little bit still not far from the touristy stuff.

The property had a nice location.

Great room with a large rooftop terrace.. There where no facility to make a tea or coffee in the room. No mini bar or free water. Apart from that a very pleasant stay...

If you don’t want to stay too close to the touristy areas, please consider this hotel. Breakfast available on site, within walking distance of fine restaurants, and the staff is truly amazing. I cannot express how thankful and lovely the staff is. They honestly made my short stay in Rome the best I’ve ever experienced

I had an interesting room at the top floor, woke up to the strong smell of the kitchen lingering in my room each day. Doorman was very nice and helpful.

Hotel was pretty close to sights around Rome. Room was only supplied with 2 pillows. The WiFi in my building was very poor. There was no iron for guest. Guests have to use an outside laundry service. Overall clean and modern looking.

The property was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered a variety items. The neighborhood was sketchy, but we never felt unsafe. Even when going out at night. The room was nice, but the beds were hard and the pillows were flat. The air conditioning could not be adjusted and room was stuffy and hot. Wished the bathroom had an extra towel bar and the shower had a self for my own products. Overall I would stay there again, but not in summer.

Front desk staff amazing. The valet met us to take our luggages in. Friendly,helpful and arranged all our transportation. Boutique style (small) but clean, new, nice lobby, good size rooms with garden below

The hotel itself and service was very good /they did a check-in at 10 o`clock without any problem /, but the location is not too comfortable.

The location is great for people visiting Rome since everything is pretty close. The room was clean. All of the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel was beautiful and so clean and the rooftop terrace was lovely and had a nice view. The staff were so helpful and attentive. And it was only a 7 minute walk to the nearest metro! Would definitely recommend!

The staff was awesome. The hotel and rooms were clean and updated. One of the only places to get an American breakfast and coffee was a pleasant surprise too.
