Lovely beach our room amazing and staff so friendly and helpful
We will be back. Thank you to all staff for a incredible experience. !!! Mark & Sheila
The room was very nice. The dock bar and ceviche bar were a great. Loved jumping in the water from the dock.
Loved our stay here. Beautiful property and very friendly people. The ceviche at the bar is a must!
Beautiful resort setting
There is no sign for the colonial at jaguar reef. The lodge, the colonial, and the almond are all on the same property but there’s only a sign for the lodge. You have to check in and park at the lodge at jaguar reef for these hotels. Very clean, very friendly, beautiful beach set up!
Beautiful ocean views and location like no other. The rooms were ok. The food choices were ok, but need improvement. It was hard to get a pizza from the pizza oven resturant on site - it was either incredibly long wait times or closed too early in the evening. Overall, the prices were steep and, though a very nice facility, it was not a great value.
beautiful place, beach, bar area. verry disappointed with the restaurant, food choice, flavors, PRICE terrible.
Overall property was well kept.
A lovely location. A problem with our hotel lighting. It flashed constantly. Trying to read or even be in the room at night was not good. Most of staff were good. Had to request room service.
The staff were helpful and available. Captain Larry was especially considerate, friendly and always available.
We are very happy with our stay and the staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks Edgar and Lucas!
Excellent property, excellent staff including Captain Jack
Very nice stay at the colonial inn at Jaguar reef. Spacious room, very friendly staff, always a pleasure to be greeted so warmly by Captain Larry!!
Jaguar Reef Wins!
Wonderful, friendly staff, excellent food at the restaurant, clean comfortable rooms. We did part of our stay at Hopkins Bay and I will say that although the price is comparable, the service, cleanliness, and comfort are superior at Jaguar Reef! The food at the restaurant is much better and overall there is just a happier vibe.
Eight of us had a great time, the whole Jaguar Reef complex was amazing. From Captain Jack at the restaurant bar, Clif at the Big Bar and Gabe our sever were all wonderful and fun.
A beautiful place to stay! Staff was so nice and attentive. Food at the restaurant was stellar. I wish I could’ve stayed longer.
Beach and surrounds were great, but room was in need of renovation. There as no regular housekeeping. Room did not represent value for money
Jaguar Reef, just okay
The stay was nice and the pools were great. Bartenders were friendly and drinks were good. Our room was old and dated but our friends room was very nice. The curtains were very visibly dusty in our room. I wouldnprobably not stay there again as there are better values for money in the area. Restaurant was very overpriced, so we never ate there.
My room was not the room I selected. Roaches in the room. No drawers in the rooms, only one tv.
Amazing place
It’s a beautiful resort .. the rooms amazing and very comfortable the staff is amazing and friendly .. will definitely return.
Very nicely designed, unique combination of modern style and local culture. Friendly staff that often went above and beyond to accommodate our needs.
Very nice room with very nice view
Problem solved
We are return guests to The Colonial and have always loved our stay there. This time we had a leak in the ceiling of our room that caused little discomfort. With reporting it to the reception the following day we were offered a different room. Their service is always exceptional.
Lovely spot
We had booked 5 nights at The Colonial and were upgraded upon arrival to a spacious well appointed room at Almond Beach with a panorama view over the main pool and Caribbean Sea. The Lodge at Jaguar Reef comprises an attractive mix of accommodation along a well kept sandy shore a mile or so south of Hopkins. It has an ambiance of calm and exclusivity. Snorkling tour to the reef and adjacent islands well executed; food good with options of local restaurants nearby; friendly and helpful staff. Only criticism was an aged mattress on the bed which Customer Services promised to get to grips with. But hey, Belize is a classified 3rd World country and as things go, accommodations don't get much better than this!
This resort was amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Captain Larry introduced himself on day 1 and greeted us by name the rest of the trip. He showed us how to sail a hobby cat and answered some questions about Hopkins. We were treated like family and friends! I highly recommend the resort! We stayed in colonial one night and the lodge the other nights. Both are right next to each other and share the same amenities. Both were excellent!
This resort is amazing. The staff is always very accommodating and some of the friendliest people I have ever met. We will definitely be coming back
While resort was sold out there was lots of room. It has a very comfortable feel and there is a lot of things to do. We are recommending this resort to everyone we talk to about our vacation. The staff is friendly and they remembered us by name throughout our stay. Very satisfied!
this is an ideal property for families, couples and solo travelers. i thoroughly enjoyed my stay at jaguar reef. there are several properties next to each other - the lodge, the colonial and almond beach resort. it is directly on the caribbean sea and the beach is well kept. the staff are warm and welcoming. they are very helpful, someone is always around and they are super genuine. the only mark against the property is lack amenities in the room. there is a coffee machine and a filtered water (BONUS!) but the bathroom is lacking in bath supplies (only basic soap, shampoo & conditioner), no bath robe, no slippers etc.
Relaxing and wonderful
We had a great time. The tour prices were some of the most affordable in all of Belize. The location was great and the resort beautiful.
pleasant
very nice staff was very helpfull
Spectacular Resort
The resort was awesome, spacious and beautiful. All the staff was great and friendly. We would return.
The room size where we stayed was great . The view was excelente!
The room was beautiful and the bar over the sea was nice. The check in was horrible. We arrived at the hotel at 6 pm and was told the room was not ready for use imagine that. The receptionist told us the room would be ready in 30 mins reminder check in time is at 3:00 pm. I asked why and was told Expedia is a third party agent and so the information has not reached their desk as yet and the room needed to be cleaned. Went and checked on the room as it was already 1 hour and told "it's only been 50 mins". We ended up waiting 1 hour to check in.
The bar & lounge area on the pier is awesome. Combine the facility with the Paddle House Restaurant and activities..you are set for the perfect vacation
It’s was nice . We enjoyed our stay . Resort was a little bit old
There is nothing bad to say. Everything and everyone was simply amazing. Staff: Shakira, Andre, ‘Bruno’ , Edgar, Jason, Stacey, Brian, Cherlyn, Ashley, Luis, Ana, Alex, Yani, Noele, Kendra, Larry, Jamie, the young bus boy,and Patrick and that’s to name a few!
Great resort! Rooms were mint, staff was awesome. Shout out to Charlie, captain and Dennis the menace! Careful on those palms Dennis!
Splendide

Wonderful beachside resort
Loved our stay in the Mahogany beachfront suite. The hotel grounds were spotless and the staff was always available for anything we needed. Enjoyed lunch in the main restaurant and had a nice dinner at the pizza restaurant. Tried to get ceviche one evening but they were closed at 7:10 despite a posted closing time of 7:30. Kayaks and a sailboat are available for guest use and we found them to be in good condition. The location is a bit out of town so you need some kind of transportation if you want to leave the resort. We used the complimentary bicycles to go to Hopkins Village during the day but the bikes are not an option for dinner as they have to be back by 5pm. We would stay again.
