An elegant step back in time
Lovely and elegant hotel, felt like we stepped back in time. Close to Victoria Station but room was very quiet. Within walking distance of Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace.
Run down. Fix the bloody elevators. One elevator all week for the right wing. Only fits 5 people, and that without luggage. Poor service. Indifferent lobby help.
It was a very good location for us with a nice lobby. The is no space in the bathroom to hold anything on our case. Getting the room cleaned in time was difficult and we spent some days without a cleaned room
Friendly, helpful staff, great location
Check-in was nightmare. They lost my reservation and repeatedly referred me to a future reservation I had made instead of solving a simple problem. It took 30 minutes and their attitude was poor, rude and unprofessional.
Everything was great
Amazing
Fantastic property close to public transport. The bathrooms were incredible. Some of the nicest we have ever seen in a hotel room. The afternoon tea should not be missed. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Easily a five star rating.
Perfect
We had a 1 night stay to see Wicked (3 mins walk from hotel). Couldnt fault it at all, spotlessly clean, staff all polite and friendly, room was lovely and be was very comfortable. Breakfast was good as well. I just wish id stayed longer but will definitely return.
Great location and price
Lovely and convenient.
Great reception and common areas. Typical city size rooms. Soak restaurant lovely food, drink and staff. The lift to the sixth floor was out of use whilst there so was surprised being put there. Changed to fifth floor.
The property is right next to Victoria Station and in close proximity to Buckingham Palace. The accommodations and service was impeccable. Would definitely return to the Clermont.
Central location. Walking distance from Buckingham Palace. Place is located in front of Victoria Station. Neighborhood is a little sketchy after dark. Staff was friendly, but sometimes difficult to understand.
We had an excellent stay here. The staff were very kind to my 5 year old daughter, even gifting her a teddy. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We would come back and stay again.
Love it
Amazing experience
Very convenient for transportation since the hotel lobby is connected to the Underground. Also very good to have complimentary drinks and snacks in the room.
Loved this hotel so much and the staff was wonderful
Our stay at The Clermont London, Victoria was absolutely wonderful—choosing this hotel was the best decision we made for our London trip! We traveled with our two young children (9 and 4 years old) and arrived in London very early in the morning, completely exhausted from the flight. The hotel staff was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to check in early, which was truly a lifesaver. Being able to get some much-needed rest made a world of difference for our trip! A special highlight was my daughter's birthday, which we celebrated during our stay. The hotel staff surprised her with a small cupcake and a handwritten birthday card—such a thoughtful and lovely touch that made her day extra special! The hotel itself is amazing—super clean, quiet, and elegant. The location couldn’t be better—right above Victoria Station—yet the rooms were peaceful, and we didn’t hear any noise from the station. With a bus stop right outside the door and so many key attractions nearby, it was incredibly convenient for exploring London. Overall, The Clermont London, Victoria exceeded our expectations in every way. From the fantastic service to the unbeatable location, it was a perfect stay for our family. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting London!
Great hotel in central location
I booked a basic double room as i was travelling alone and it was only for one night. I think i must have been upgraded as it was a large room with a sofa. A huge closet and a bathroom with a shower and seperate bath tub. Room was very quiet. Staff super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
Grand hotel foyer and bars, comfortable room and spacious bathroom, prompt and friendly service
Loved how quiet it was. Didn't hear a door shut or water from plumbing. It is a beauty of a hotel
Great place! Close to everything. Clean
Beautiful decoration, sparkling clean, friendly and knowledgeable staff (Maria in reception and the friendly Mohammed in the dining room as examples, but really every single person there) the afternoon tea was a delight, breakfast buffet was scrumptious- the espresso machine!!! And of course- walking inside the hotel to Victoria station! Couldn’t have done better. Thank you Clermont
It’s connected to Victoria station and it was convenient for me to travel on to next destination. Even on Sunday, Victoria station was lively day and night, easy shopping and dining. I was happy with the hotel basically but the AC wasn’t functioning and the room was very cold. I only realised it on my last day that setting the thermometers was meaningless . It’s a huge hotel with the 7 floors. Difficult to find the room. I couldn’t find the gym which is noted to be on the 4th floor but actually on the 7th floor.
Will definitely be staying at this hotel again on our next trip to London.
There was nothing I did not like about this property. The room was great! Several dining options. Easy walking to Victoria Station which allowed bus, underground and train to everywhere. I would like to recognize the check in receptionist, Maria Victoria as being especially kind. She had a complimentary box of chocolates sent to our room after hearing about our travel mishaps when we checked in.
This was an impromptu trip to London for my wife, son and I. The staff at the Clermont were fantastic and the hotel was great. The location was convenient to get around London. We were within walking distance of Buckingham, Westminster and Parliament. If we needed to take the Underground, the Victoria, Central and District lines were right there. The hotel has an entrance from Victoria station if needed. The walk to Piccadilly and Leicester is easy, so getting around is simple. Maybe not a ton of places to eat out nearby, but the restaurant in the hotel is good and there are a few places nearby that are good to eat. We kept going back to the Gail’s Bakery on Buckingham Palace road for breakfast, but the English Rose around the corner was cute and good too. Would definitely stay here again if we’re back in London.
Second time here…still fantastic!
The location was excellent and the rooms clean. We would stay there again. Very central to getting around London and access to public transportation is good.
Have been going to this hotel formerly the Grosvenor for over 30 years - at one time it was quite thread are And rundown but it's too shelf right now
we stayed one week at Clermont. The building is well maintained, clean rooms, quiet. The food menu for breakfast is the standard that you can find. Something that you need to consider is that some floors do not have direct access to the lift, you need to use the stairs to get to the lift. Great location if you want to move around the city using the underground since the Victoria station is right there next to the hotel, and also the main stop for some city routes, many options if you want to eat outside, they are close to many restaurants and pubs.
Great Place to Stay in London
I love this hotel. The classic style, the location (right next to Vistoria Station), the friendly staff. The rooms are lovely and quiet. I really appreciate the under floor heating and hot towel warmers in the bathroom. The decor in the room is a little tired and dated if you look closely. Highly recommended.
I sent my wife and daughters. They felt safe and happy
I never risk my holiday and choose this beautiful Hotel in every way
You definitely get everything you can see from online, such as good location, clean but small room! What may not be clear from online description is that the hotel is vey big with strange interior designs so that you may need to haul your luggage on carpet for a prolonged distance and may need to switch elevators to get to 6/7th floor. Best part is breakfast (if included in room fare)
In a convenient location, the hotel was in good condition
Loved the entire stay, very nice and old buikding with a rich history. Staff was nothing short of amazing and the breakfast was excellent!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We had the best Valentine’s Day together. Very romantic and wonderful accommodations. We will stay again!
Lovely hotel/atmosphere friendly staff great location and welcomed with glass of prosecco and chocolates also nice breakfast. Overall highly recommended Thank you
Nice property. Clean and comfortable.
Spacious rooms. Clean. Quiet. Gym could be bigger. Direct access to Victoria train station which was convenient in the cold and rain. Staff were very helpful. The Soak restaurant on the property was excellent too.
Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel! Very grand and huge! Staff were polite and chatty and quick to respond to any queries . The only negative was the price of drinks in the bar! Ridiculous prices even for London . The hotel itself is situated about a 5 minute walk to Victoria Coach station and underground. There is actually a bus stop right outside which is convenient. Plenty of bars and eateries in the area and The Apollo Theatre Victoria is just around the corner. We walked to most areas. It’s about a 40 min walk to The Albert Hall and an hour ish to where all the theatres are . It was about a 40 mins walk to High Street , Kensington
Very elegant surroundings, with a personal touch
Great location, great staff, great perks!!
Beautiful hotel located minutes away from Buckingham Palace. Only minor issue is not using housekeeping provided a discount on hotel food. That information could have been provided at check in instead of being listed on a card hanging on the door.
Very pleasant stay, would recommend
Beautiful building with a large room. The TV selection is not the greatest but we didn’t visit London to watch TV. We look forward to visiting again. Very close to tourist sites, very easy access to public transportation, plenty of fine dining options.
Great location and super clean
Overall a very good value. There are no ramps so plan on hauling luggage up the front steps. Microscopic sized bathroom.
Exceeded expectations
It is a beautiful property, excellent location, wonderful staff, and a fabulous breakfast.
Hotel was conveniently located right next to the Victoria station. Will definitely stay a game. Everything was great about this facility.
Amazing room! Beautiful property in the perfect location!
Great spot
Amazing stay. This will definitely be my go-to hotel whenever I visit London. Victoria Station is behind the hotel which is extremely convenient plus most tourist sites are walkable. Lots of restaurants and bars around so there's always something to do. Mini bar is free and restock daily, cleaning staff is so friendly. I had no complaints during my stay. Customer sevice was top notch.
Personal service and recognition.
Great hotel in a great location
Great hotel in a great location. Tube and buses next door. The hotel is quiet and staff go out if the way to insure things are well and good for you. I’d stay here again.
The professional of the staff was exceptional. Beautiful hotel with amazing architecture.
This hotel was amazing. Very classy, clean & the rooms are not closet sized which I find too often is the case in London. The bed was an American full size bed & the room was great. Walk in shower was clean & modern. There is a nice nook with a small fridge, water, a kettle, tea-bags & coffee pods for the nespresso type machine. It was all great. My only complaint is there were not enough hangers for my clothes. Great place to stay. Close to Buckingham Palace & literally steps from Victoria Rail Station and the Victoria line tube.
Absolutely terrible!
I’m amazed at the ratings given this hotel. Perhaps the raters have never stayed in a hotel nicer than a Holiday Inn, and thus have no expectations. Our stay began with our discovery that there was no door man or other help with the luggage, even though we arrived at 8:00 pm. I was left to wrestle our bags myself up the stairs at the hotel entrance. Then, we were told that we had to take a room on the first floor or wrestle those same bags up three floors of stairs since their elevator was inoperable. Since I had paid extra for a deluxe room, this was another problem. Next, when we arrived at our first floor room, we discovered it was at best a 180 square foot room rather than the 280 square foot room we reserved and for which we paid. In short, the service was terrible and we were given a room much worse than that for which we paid. We obviously will not use this hotel again when we visit London, and I warn anyone tempted to do so to think twice.
The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff was professional and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and conveniently located
Another great stay. Perfect location with easy access to transport links
We had a wonderful overnight stay at The Clermont and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our experience.
Wonderful hotel. Loved the upgrade!
Conveniently attached to Victoria Station. Easy walk to other points of interest, Tate Museum and across the street from “Hamilton” and “Wicked” theaters. In-hotel restaurant was lovely with a delicious variety of food. Lobby is exquisite and staff are helpful and delightful!
Well situated and easy access to Victoria station. Rooms were clean, staff friendly. We loved our stay
Great hotel with the exception of non working elevators. Very difficult to transport luggage From room. The bathroom was quite small. It would not fit two people. Other than that it was great. Close to Victoria station.
We have stayed at the Clermont for 4 years now. It has a lovely old world elegance. It is definitely not a modern hotel; tv and streaming options limited The staff is most attentive. Lots of hot water, clean and quiet rooms. Location tough to beat what with Tube, trains and buses galore. We love it
Thumbs up from all the family.
Great location, super easy access to everything via Victoria station and underground. Perfect for Gatwick Express. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. Complimentary mini bar with lollies for the kids. Good food and cocktails downstairs at The Soak. The doorman adds a quintessentially English touch. We loved it.
We were originally given a room (#312 if I remember correctly) that was very cramped. When I complained, we were offered an upgrade to a large room, at a cost! Once in the large room, the remainder of our stay was great.
Ideally situated for rail and coaches, shops and sightseeing. Very helpful/lovely staff
I booked Victoria by mistake instead of Charing x but it was just as nice. Only downside was the cocktail bar was closed for refurbishment but the soak was nice for food
what's NOT to like? A bit pricey but worth it. amazing room, amazing bathroom, connected to victoria station,a huge plus.
A grand entrance gives a sense of space, our King room followed in the same vain, nicely appointed room for a couple to spend a weekend away. Location very convenient for transport links and tube stations as well as literally round the corner from the Apollo Victoria and Wicked Show. Breakfast offers a reasonable choice and quality of food and beverages. An all together excellent hotel in our opinion and would definitely stay again.
I received a warm welcome and my concerns were promptly dealt with. I had a lovely room and a nice stay.
Hard to beat this location for the money.
For a traveler based in LONDON i think you'd be hard pressed to beat this location. The hotel has a back door which enters right into Victoria train station and the Victoria tube is across from the station. The hotel is about two/three blocks in distance from the plays Wicked and Hamilton. It's less than a miles walk from the 'changing of the guard' at Buckingham. The hop-on-off-bus stop is in front of the hotel. Their are decent and quick eateries everywhere. The only negative would be the tub/shower. The tub is simply too narrow to comfortably stand and shower. So the safe bet is a bath.
This is a wonderful hotel, the staff was impeccable the rooms were beautiful and the location was perfect!! I would highly recommend and will be back!
Great location, nice bar, helpful staff
Great location, great service
Great location, lovely room. Paddy at reception was super helpful!
Enjoy the stay and location was perfect. Staffs were really nice and helpful-- Rooms were really clean and nice. Only issue is the breakfast was the same daily.
Beautiful hotel and stay
Wonderful stay. Beautiful hotel. Yes, it really does look like the photos! Comfortable beds and can choose different pillows from a menu. Mini bar was complimentary.
Good location, close to all facilities, convenient transportation, many restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
Great spot
Convenient location to what we wanted to do. Very comfortable and clean. Friendly staff and very helpful. Great experience with no complaints. Would stay again for sure.
Staff are very nice and helpful. Location is very good and convenient for taking public transportation. The elevator is very slow. The room is too small.
Great service and really nice rooms. The suites are great, especially if you’re staying for a few days. Breakfast is convenient and great as well. The location is perfect for walking through Westminster, and there is easy access to transportation for adventures to other areas of the city. The hotel is connected to Victoria Station which makes it a great base camp for travel to other parts of the UK and Europe.
Very good
Great location
The front desk man clearly didn’t want us to stay there. Upon checking in he stated the room could only accommodate 2 adults and a child under 12. Ours was too old (teenager). When I asked if he was recommending an upgrade he said their hotel did not offer rooms for three people. I said no where on your website does it say that and I entered the child’s age on hotels.com. He did not want us but I explained we had just had an 11hr flight and come straight here. It was 5pm and raining. He checked us in but was rude to us whenever he saw us. We are a mixed race family and I don’t know if that was the issue but never in all our travels has it been an issue with three of us (2 parents and a teenager) in one room. Everyone else there was fantastic
Wonderful with some bumps
I really like this hotel. Fantastic location, beautiful hotel and lovely staff except one guy at the front desk. For whatever reason (I can guess but I’ll refrain) he did not like us and clearly didn’t want us in the hotel. But thankfully the woman who checked us in was lovely as is the bell staff.
All good
Fancy in a good way. Staff very helpful
Great Experience
First time in London for my husband and I…beautiful hotel. Great location for walking and to the public transportation. The service was amazing. Mentioned the sofa was not easy to sit on without sliding forward and it was unexpectedly replaced while we went out for bit. The bar was very pleasing, hotel is aesthetically beautiful, and the room was comfortable. I live without carpet, so discolored or spots are very noticeable to me. The bathtub seems unusually high to climb in to but I’m not too old yet, otherwise the room and the hotel is just wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about the service.
So so stay.
The hotel is lovely and located right beside the Victoria train station close to shops and restaurants. I had booked 2 deluxe king rooms but they turned out to be not comparable. The one room was great with lots of room, good layout. The other room was on the other side of the hotel which wasn’t near as nice. The room was tiny, the bathroom was so small, there was an inch between the toilet and the wall. No comparison. We mentioned this to the front desk and said this was not a deluxe room and asked to move to a comparable room as the other. They told us it was a deluxe room and the size was the same which it definitely was not. There wasn’t any room to move that night but we were moved the next day for our remaining nights and the room was great. Lots of space, good size bathroom and it was on the other side of the hotel which was the better side. Only one elevator was working. The other was out of service but the working one wouldn’t come down to the ground floor so the wait was long and lines formed of people needing the elevator constantly Finally on day 2 one of the staff told us you had to press both elevator buttons to get the working one to come down to the ground floor. Really? Why didn’t they put a sign up stating that? I know things like this happen and are out of their control but trying to give us a crappy, small room when we paid a small fortune for both rooms, annoyed me. We would never have known any difference had we not had another room to comp
Great hotel at decent price
Such a beautiful hotel and it’s in such a great spot! We had a great experience and would stay again. Thank you!
It was a very nice place to stay Staff was amazing Location was excellent
Perfect location for our London trip!
Excellent place to stay and we enjoyed it thoroughly during our London trip. It’s location was the best part and vicinity to major tourist attractions was very helpful. Loved the christmas spirit in the lobby and the staff was very nice and friendly.
Good Hotel in a excellent location
Beautiful hotel with great service, only one elevator working and restaurant is subpar
Staff is outstanding. The building is historic. It was lovely

Lovely stay at the Clermont! Staff were friendly and helpful and the location is excellent! So easy to walk most places but being so close to the train/bus was extremely convenient. The room was nice and quiet despite being so close to a train station!
