Great service and lovely hotel

This is an amazing hotel. Beautiful rooms and right in the centre of everything. Stayed for a business celebration and was upgraded to a huge room with complimentary drinks, bar, snacks. Gorgeous claw foot bath. The bar here is first class and they make the most amazing cocktails. Food is first class and service excellent. You can hear the underground trains but it’s nothing that would disturb you - I find it quite relaxing.

Everything was great except only one elevator was working so we had to wait every time we left the hotel or returned.

Excellent stay all round. The small touches made it perfect!

This is our fourth stay at the hotel. We come to London for my birthday to take in a show and to go out to diner. The hotel is great for getting around this part of London. Excellent transport connections from Charing Cross. Our room was perfect for two night stay, and so was the breakfast. The bacon, sausages, etc were perfectly cooked. The dining room staff are helpful friendly. Looking forward to our next stay. Thanks to all the staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Clermont Charing Cross. It is in a fantastic location and the hotel staff ensure that, even in a busy area, the hotel is an oasis of safety and calm. Our family room was spacious and spotlessly clean. It smelt so lovely throughout the hotel. Our daughter particularly loved sweeping down the staircase! The welcome we received was warm and effective- check in gave us all of the information needed. The complimentary mini bar was brilliant too. For families the area had lots of food choices with cheaper and healthy options especially if you need something ‘known’ for pickier eaters. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious, well stocked with a variety of options. The food was hot and well cooked. The staff were attentive without being overly invasive. It was a lovely experience. Thank you to all who work so hard.

Lovely hotel. Unfortunately only one elevator was working causing long wait times to get to the 5th floor

Perfect location. Lovely friendly staff. Couldn’t do anymore for you. Room was a great size for my husband and I, plus our two daughters. Immaculately clean and very well stocked. Breakfast each morning was a delicious buffet and so much to choose from. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. It’s definitely our go to accommodation whenever we visit from now on.

Incredible hotel! Everyone was so kind and it was amazing.

This hotel is in a brilliant location. We travelled here for an overnight stay, me and my 10 year old daughter. The hotel staff went above and beyond, and made our stay one to remember. Would thoroughly recommend.

Superb Hotel In The Centre of London

We stayed here for three nights. Lovely hotel. Right in the centre of London. The room was comfortable and warm. Beds great, complementary waters in the fridge. Bath towels are huge. Housekeeping was very good. I love this hotel and will use it again when in London.

Stayed here on a overnight layover, My family and I fell in love with this hotel and it's staff. Dafni, Front desk Manager was outstanding. There was a slight maintenance issue with our room, she let us know before we ran into further issues. Allowed us to change rooms, and ensured our stay was the most comfortable and enjoyable. Her follow up and passion for great customer service goes above and beyond. I would hope that she is recognized for her commitment and dedication.

We love the Clermont, the location is fantastic but despite being so centrally located the hotel itself is like an oasis of calm which makes the place so ideal.

Lovely hotel sweeping staircase excellent location our room was clean however the shower shower head was blocked only allowing a few jets to work and the shower handset leaked sideways only stayed one night I did mention this to the receptionist as we left

Super Hotel in great location

Super hotel! Fantastic location, perfect for Houses of Parliament, National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Nelson’s Column, Covent Garden and theatre land. Very pleasant staff, nicely decorated and nice ambiance. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. I stayed in a twin room with my teenage daughter and we were very happy with our three night stay. Complementary drinks and snacks in the room were great. Very reasonable cost though we didn’t pay for breakfast as lots of breakfast options at nearby Covent Garden.

Family stay. Central London hotel? Stay here!

We had a wonderful 3 night family break celebrating my son's 21st birthday. Once they were aware, the hotel staff provided a lovely gesture of cake & bubbles in his room to celebrate. The staff are very friendly in all areas of the hotel. The hotel itself is in a very central part of London, right next door to Charing Cross station making it easy to get anywhere on the tube/bus or by foot. It is easily accessible on the tube from Heathrow. We had a classic double room. It was perfect for a weekend stay. It was immaculate with a lovely sized bathroom & fluffy towels. The room included complimentary tea & coffee plus soft drinks and snacks. Whilst there wasn't a lot of floor space, the room was certainly big enough for a few nights stay. All of the communal hotel areas are beautifully kept with a feeling of luxury, especially the staircase. Everywhere looks and smells clean. We ate in the restaurant and had a drink in the bar on the first night and the food and drink were great, not too over priced. I also used the gym, whilst it is small it had enough equipment for a daily workout. We loved this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in central London. We happened to get a good deal when booking and would certainly look to stay again if we are ever in London.

Fantastic hotel in a great location, perfect for the theatre district and transport connections. Lots of great restaurants and galleries within walking distance. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, great shower. I also loved the free mini bar items and treats. We would definitely stay here again

Beautiful hotel in great location. Staff super friendly - thanks to Charlie & Ron….and reception team stayed over. Food excellent - could even borrow an umbrella! Bed big and comfy. We hope to stay again …

Great hotel if you want no sleep

Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a good choice and cooked well. Bar staff very knowledgable. Only downside is we didn’t sleep at all due to creaking floorboards and footsteps from the room above from 12am-7am

Room was spacious and clean with a mini fridge. Very friendly staff and room service was timely. Hotel is beautiful and located right next to Charing Cross station with access to multiple modes of transport and dining options. Walkable to key sites like Trafalgar Square, National Gallery and London Eye. Highly recommend.

We will be back on our next trip to London

This is our second time in London and our second time at The Clermont London, Charing Cross. Everything was perfect, from the super comfortable bed to the great shower to the lovely staff and the superb location. We will be back on our next trip to London.

Great location. Charing Cross Station right Nextdoor and Embankment underground is right around the corner. It is also a fairly short walk to SoHo, Piccadilly, Westminster and Coventry Garden. Loved the hotel itself. Great buffet breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

PERFECT LONDON STAY

Excellent stay. Perfect location. Very friendly & helpful staff. Room was amazing with everything you would need. Bar snacks were delicious, as was breakfast. Will definitely return.

Brilliant stay

Quick, friendly check in, was granted the ungrade we had requested so was happy with the extra space. The room was a good size with everything we needed, coffee machines, mini bar, snacks, kettle, hairdryer and bathrobes. It had a shower and bath. Was quite considering it’s on a busy road. Breakfast was good, lots of choice, my only complaint would be the bacon, it looked like it had been sitting in the hot plate all morning, and the sausages didn’t have any taste to them. All in all I would stay again.

A really special trip, with excellent service.

Very nice place close to a lot of things

A lovely ornate hotel with some classy features. Very conveniently having Charing Cross train and tube stations each side, a great location for visits to Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Covent Garden and the West End Theatres. Our only slightly negative feedback would be to improve surveillance of breakfast products as each morning a number of items had run out with nobody proactively replacing them unless asked!

Excellent location. Adjoining Charing Cross rail/ tube station, check-in easy and pleasant. Room a good size. So convenient for public transport and most theatres. Walking distance to all major attractions. Good breakfast

The hotel was absolutely breathtaking. Every detail was meticulously attended to, making for an exceptional experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone, and the dining options were truly remarkable.

Surprisingly peaceful!

From the initial warm welcome, clean, spacious and modern room and the fabulous range of free goodies each day in the room, our stay really was faultless. We couldn't get over how quiet the room was given its central situation right on Charing Cross Station. We were in room 415 and would definitely come back.

Successful trip

After a friendly but efficient booking in process, we found our room to be particularly comfortable and well proportioned. All staff that we met were personable and helpful. Our only quibble would be that the bar was uncomfortably hot.

Really comfortable and pleasant hotel with very helpful staff. A small irritation was that the bar, which was supposed to be open until 23:00, was closed when we got back from the theatre at 22:40.

Booked this for a birthday weekend & they won us over as soon as we walked in the room. Waiting for us was a slice of birthday cake & a bottle of bubbly. The hotel is very grand & stylish with great staff who are always happy to help in whatever way they can. Great location for the theatres. Would highly recommend.

The hotel is EXTREMELY well located. The rooms are spacious, clean and in excellent condition. The staff is friendly. Complementary minibar! But remember this is not a full service hotel. Went with the family. It is extremely convenient. Will use it again.

Nice hotel, well looked after and smelt brilliant. Downsides, the layout of the hotel is very strange and to get to our room required two lifts and a long walk.

Room was in the annex. Would have preferred the main building.

We just returned from a 3 night stay and had auch a lovelyvstay here. We couldnt fault it, great location, friendly staff, very clean, great mini bar, super breakfast. Only thing if i was to say any negative was it can be a little noisy at night but you are in central london so have to expect some noise and the positives far outweigh this. Hope to be able to stay again.

Great Stay

Really enjoyed my stay. Room was super clean, and although there was a Christmas party happening in the same building, I couldn’t hear anything in my room - it was surprisingly very quiet. Reception and restaurant staff were very friendly too. Would definitely stay there again.

FIVE STARS

I can’t begin to say enough AMAZING things about the Clermont!!! From the second we walked in, I felt like a part of the Clermont family, and honestly like a princess! Even with a midnight arrival, we were welcomed with joyful, kind smiles! Danish was so kind, friendly, knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and in the know of everything at the hotel and its surroundings. My two boys were even given Clermont teddy bears, which made their late night arrival cheerful! The rooms were stunning and spacious. The bathroom was so nicely fitted and we had every amenity we could think of - bath robes, slippers, HAND SOAP, lotion, hairnets, WATER! Believe me, free water puts any hotel at the top of the list for me these days. Our boys bed was beautifully made when we got there, as well as extra towels without even having to ask. When walking around the hotel the next day, each and every staff member made a point to say hello. Coming to a girl that is from the south (Texas), this speaks volumes to the culture that the Clermont has set. There is everything you could want close by including restaurants and tourist attractions. Everything is walkable. Breakfast was awesome. I really love the ambiance of the restaurant. Made me feel like I was in Paris. Tube is 4 minutes away! If I could recommend one thing, it would be more places to hang hats, jackets, and purses when you walk into the room, but that’s it! 5 stars for the Clermont! I can’t wait to return!

Stayed here a lot when it used to be Amber Hotel, still convenient for most London shows, shopping and sight seeing, Staff welcoming, nice heated floors in room

Perfect hotel and the location was so so so good !!

The welcome from Hally on reception was so warm and inviting. The room was great clean warm and modern. Great bathroom with underfloor heating and a big heated towel rail. Good quality bed and coffee making facilities!

Excellent central location, walking distance to many sights and attractions, convenient transport links via charring cross or embankment. Lots of restaurants and pubs. Staff are excellent, friendly and accomodating, hotel is clean and comforting. Highly recommend!
