Very nice property. $32 per night for parking is a bit much though.

Parking Meh

Parking is in a garage in the back- my 95 year old grandmother couldn’t have dealt with that for handy cap parking. I dropped her at front door and parked each time. This is a nice hotel next to the Galleria. Staff were nice, breakfast was abundant and included in our stay.

Beautiful romantic quiet comfortable property and staff. Gorgeous views. I had the pleasure of enjoying an enchanted Valentines evening at the Chiefly Hotel and there was not one person service nor amenity to find disappointment in. Will return again. Thanks

The Chifley is the best!

The Chifley is my favorite hotel in Houston. It’s so comfortable and is like a really nice apartment with separate living and sleeping areas.

Great stay and Location

The room was comfortable and clean. Loved the ample room to move about and relax. The bathroom was very roomy. The bed was comfortable. Loved the separate sitting area. Noted the couch turned into a full size sleeper. Great for kids or one adult. There was even a small bistro style table for us to eat comfortably. Everything was wonderful the only thing I could suggest is to place a small microwave in the room for guest usage.

A bit on the expensive side, plus $32 buffet breakfast, $40 a day parking. Good staff, nice room, room lighting is awful, too glaring.

Nice small boutique hotel

This property is beautiful and well maintained. The room is nice and spacious as well. The parking is expensive so be mindful of that. I parked somewhere else and just walked.

Great hotel to staycation

Due to my allergies, we staycation for the New Year’s and Fourth of July holidays (people in our apartment complex, fire fireworks, and the residual smoke routinely hospitalizes me.) we routinely stayed in this hotel in its last iteration, and under new management. The changes that have been made are not Detrimental. Our only complaint is the quality of the beds and bedding have changed slightly for the worse, however, this is a still excellent place to stay.

Property was nice and so was the room. We didn’t have any house keeping for the 2.5 days I stayed at the hotel which was odd. But good location and breakfast was good. I’d return if I visit Houston again

The Chifley Houston is a nice place to spend a few days. It was recently renovated with large comfortable rooms, a full-service restaurant and bar and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is in a great uptown location with shopping and dining in walking distance.

We had a lovely staycation, my only disappointment was ordering the Cajun wrap via room service.’10 mins after eating I got a littles Stomach bug. Being that was the only and first meal of my day I know something wasn’t prepared properly

The hotel was decorated so beautifully for the holidays and the staff was so accommodating. We will definitely stay at the property again in the near future.

Hidden gem

My stay was a short overnight stay, but nonetheless highly impressive and comfortable. The bed and beddings were superbly comfortably, and the room layout was astoundingly accommodating. The toilet and shower were also spacious, well-designed and quite spartanly neat. Will definitely stay here again, though the parking was quite more expensive than most.

Great location. Walking distance to Galleria Mall. Friendly staff. Reasonable parking rates. Definitely recommend for staying in the Loop.

Great stay When I checked in the front desk staff was very nice but did not tell me about the property. The focus was on the $250 incendital fee. I had to go back and ask where was the gym, pool and hours. I think it’s great to have an QCR code in rooms that explains everything but great customer service that is personable should start at the front desk by explaining some of the amenities of the property

Gerard Paris the chef, made my birthday extremely special. He created a raspberry pastry filled with cream cheese. He added a scoop of vanilla ice-cream drizzled with a raspberry topping. What a kind gesture? He gets a 5 out of 5 rating. It was a wonderful birthday.

Seen a big cockroach run into our room. Staff barely apologized. Then tried to charge me for multiple nights of valet parking which was incorrect. Lack of empathy and hospitality. Also no microwave in rooms. Will not recommend anyone stay here.

We love this property and everything was wonderful except that we learned we cannot use my Hilton Honors account when booking in my husbands name. I always make the reservations and use my HH account but typically put the reservation under his name so he can check us in. We learned when we were checking in that they will no longer allow that, which stinks because I travel often and like to use my rewards accounts. Aside from that, this property is great and convenient to food, shopping, and entertainment.

Their phones in the room did not work. The valet system was down the entire down. I asked them to remove the charge from my room whizh they said they would do. It never happened. Operational failure but decent propert. Toilet overflowed and by the looks of the fecal stained toilet seat, this has happened before.

Restaurant understaffed. Comically bad service. And they add annoying gratuity charge to food bills. They don’t overtly tell you that, which makes it a bit shady.

This is a nice hotel. I've stayed here several times while I'm town for business. The beds aren't super soft, but that's more of a personal preference. The really strange thing is that they do have a small refrigerator in the rooms, but there is no microwave. They have a full service restaurant downstairs, with a full-service bar.

Our first room had a dirty towel in the shower basin and appeared only partially cleaned. However, the clerk promptly switched our room without any hassle. The next room had a “bug” issue. I want to be understanding, some circumstances are beyond the hotel’s control, especially since it is pet-friendly. That said, they ultimately made things right. My main concern was with the front desk clerk, Mary. The third-party indicated that Mary had specifically instructed them to charge us for one night’s stay, which was not the agreement at checkout. They encouraged me to return and discuss the matter directly with Mary b/c over the phone she was adamant with them about the charge. Thankfully, I was still local and I was able to go back to the hotel. When I spoke with Mary, she denied any intentional wrongdoing and attributed the situation to a miscommunication. However, I felt that she initially tried to make me believe the third-party made the decision to charge me. In the end, she resolved the issue, and I appreciated that. Nevertheless, it required additional time on my part after already being inconvenienced.

This property was everything I hoped it would be. The room met our needs and had a great view of the city. The location was convenient and about 30 minutes from the airport. The lobby smelled amazing every time I walked in, which I loved! And the VIP perk of free parking was the perfect cherry on top.
