Excellent stay for 3 adult ladies. Ataf were amazing and super friendly. Room was lovely, spacious and so clean. Fab location walking distance from all the sights.
Excellent location for both tourists a d business.
Excellent value for money and great room. Bathroom was a little tired but overall great stay. Great options for food/breakfasts right on the doorstep.
Great stay in excellent location
Lovely stay at the cavendish, great location 5mins walk from Piccadilly station. We had afternoon tea at the ritz and the hotel is only 5mins walk. The staff were all extremely attentive, friendly and always looking to help. We had a light meal in the bar and again very friendly gentleman there. Food was very nice too. Great stay in central London.
Loved this hotel
Great stay made even more fantastic by the team. Great location
Great place
Excellent staff
London Trip
The hotel is in a fabulous position next to Fortnum & Masons, close to theatres and lovely shops. The hotel is very clean and the staff could not do enough for us happily and with a smile, especially Onsenka. It was a trip for my 70th birthday and they went above and beyond. Defo go again.
Amazing location and service. The only negatives were that the pillows were like sleeping on flat rocks and the shower door soaked the floor when opened.
Great place to stay
Lovely and conveniently located hotel
Really nice hotel in a lovely, central bit of London and surprisingly quiet. We could walk from Waterloo and to Covent Garden, most theatres and lots of sites from the hotel.
Great location and super clean.
Hotel is in a great location. Minor complaint is the noise of wind or the air con in my room was constant on 14th floor. Overall great stay.
My February Stay in London
Great stay. Have being a regular visitor for 27 years . My go to in London. So convenient and friendly.
Construction outside
My regular when on London , but sadly not all down to the hotel it’s been a poor stay . Room and cleanliness still perfect , but please upgrade the TV for smart use ….. or acceible for firestick . When it’s cold and raining hard there’s no joy in being outside . Also , get some comfortable pillows . Finally consider the construction works outside , locate where you can to rooms away from the noise , 0700 on the dot each day …. Sorry , usually high praise.
Maria at check in heard it was my birthday and when we got to the room later there was a bottle of Prosecco there nicely chilled, it made the whole birthday weekend a lovely experience, I will be back. Thank you.
Mostly it has been great so just a couple of minor points. Firstly the pillows. I found one not enough and two too high to sleep on but of course that’s very personal choice. Secondly in the bar I ordered an amaretto and coke. After I paid I noticed I had been given a double which I hadn’t asked for and of course that was double the price and the £3 ‘optional’ service charge made it an expensive drink. Again I wasn’t made aware of the service charge so I could have opted out if I had known.
Ideal location for afternoon tea at The Ritz.😁
Highly recommend
Really great location and comfy bed.
The staff were great, doing all their best. Room was not that great despite being an executive room,it was difficult to take showers every morning since there was no hot water. Complained about this matter but there was no results.
Big Thank you to a guy called Ahmed working in the hotel. Such a gentleman.
Everything is great except shower. Water seemed to leak out at the corner and caused flooding around the bathroom. This needs a serious fix.
Great location, helpful staff, convenient in every sense
Well placed for what we had planned (Royal Academy and The Mall). Clean with lovely, friendly staff. We would definitely stay there again.
Wonderful location, very helpful staff good facilities. The superior room 609 was extremely compact. The bed was very, very firm to the point of uncomfortable. The landmark view was only possible by straining to see from the window. Toiletries were of high quality but very small quantities, not enough for two to shower. Room suffered from outside noise. Breakfast, good choice, great staff, hot food was poor and dried up, often many choices were empty. We have stayed at better hotels which cost less however the location of the Cavendish Hotel was great.
Very comfortable hotel in an excellent location
All good
What a great find, situated in a lovely area, minutes walk from the theatres, Picadilly Circus, Leicester Square. Literally in the heart of it all. Lovely cleam, modern hotel.
Amazing staff who were very attentive and always happy to help.
Shame about the breakfast
Room wasn't ready even thoe we requested an early check in , room comfortable and warm, beds good ,room service forgot our breakfast for 10.30am but apologized and bought breakfast up at 11.15 ,check out was due 12 pm but I contacted reception and explained late breakfast said we could book out for 1pm .( No jam for pastry or sugar or knife on room service tray cooked breakfast good but only warm) When checking out room services was deducted from bill for the late breakfast, would stay again but maybe not at the rate I paid per room , the hotel was in a prime location for all the glamour of London and theatre world
Great stay however windows could do with replacing.
Lovely comfortable room, very enjoyable stay
Great hotel
Great Stay!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating! The room was really nice! The air conditioning was either broken or didn't go down as low as I would've liked but overall, fantastic stay
Excellent staff and location. Very nice quiet room. Love the bathtub and comfy bed. Fantastic hotel!
100% will return
Perfect room for a solo traveler, with fantastic breakfast options. Staff were responsive and charming! Perfect location to be centrally located.
Hotel excelente, el staff muy amable y atento. Cerca de muchos restaurantes y fácil acceso a muchas zonas de interés. Cuando vuelva a Londres pienso volver a quedarme ahí!
Loved the location.
Our first time in London and very happy with the property. We got a room watching New Year’s Eve fireworks. Very nice location and convenient. Wil definitely go again.
Served a purpose
Convenient location for what we required. Really friendly check in staff. Hotel is clean, some areas a little dated so they do the best with what they have. Plumbing interesting, basin tap difficult to get the right temperature plus it has been plumbed the wrong way round, which initially adds to the confusion. Not possible to get fresh air in room as windows sealed. Would use again if need to be in the area, but it is not a "destination hotel"
A decent stay in Central London
The standard rooms are rather small. The shower cubicle is too small for someone like me standing at 6 ft 3. Excellent location though
Overall good experience
Great location for shopping and walkable (20-30 min) to many of the typical tourist sights. On a quiet street. Staff were very friendly. Our room and bathroom were quite compact and we had no view but was okay for a 2 night stay. The main downside was our low pressure toilet- maybe a consequence of being on the second floor. When we stayed there a number of years ago on the 11th floor, the room was larger, we had a fabulous view and no water pressure issues. Clearly we had booked a higher end room that time!
Great location and comfortable room
A very good location but the hotel has no atmosphere, and everything is very business like.
Perfect place for a weekends shopping and show
Went with my daughters the hotel is in an amazing area short walk from green Park underground and less than 15 minute walks to all major shopping areas, just perfect. Dropped the bags off early with no problems, checked out at 9am next day and again they looked after all our shopping and bags till 4pm.
Great staff
As usual great service good room, bed , pillows and towels first class. Management surprised us with 80th birthday present, very kind . Thank you
Family friendly
The rooms were in a great condition and very friendly staff.
A perfect London stay!
The hotel was located in a very convenient location for walking to local sites and restaurants. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very comfortable! Highly recommend!!
Great central location. Nice room with comfortable beds.
Beds and bath good. Noise insolation terrible both from street and next rooms. Bar area and restaurant very stale and unattractive. Room rather small. Little room to hang up your clothes. Temperature control did not work in room.
Disappointed
First off the location is great! The service is good. The rooms were below the standard of our other stays in London and Edinburgh. The bathrooms are older style where you have to step over into tub. The tub has a tall side and is not easy for older guests. The shower itself is not easy to use. Sink did not have hot water. Based on “green initiatives” you have to request basic amenities that you just have in your room at other hotels at this level. It makes you feel guilty to have to request things you feel like you have paid for.
T
Fine place
Good value, considering the fantastic location. The standard room is slightly cramped, but has everything we need, plus coffee machine, and it all works fine.
Dont upgrade. The "best" rooms are on the 15th floor, but they neglect to tell you the elevator only goes to 14. You have to leave the elevator, pass through several fire doors, to climb a flight of stairs to your room. With a kid and a stroller this is gets old very quickly. The bathroom was the best part of the room. The bed was firm. The pillows last about five minutes before deflating. We tried ordering room service the first night due to jet lag. The room menu indicated several option for dining between midnight and 6am. When we called, the staff sounded like we were being outrageous. They only could do a burger. It was not worth it.
Friendly and helpful reception staff however for a 4 star hotel this seemed dated, small rooms and breakfast wasn’t worth £25 pp. breakfast was cold, coffee awful and not as nice as other hotels we’ve stayed at before in the same area. The breakfast staff seemed new or just simply didn’t know how to operate. I would class this as cheap and cheerful if you get the hotel at a good price but it’s certainly NOT worthy of the full price being asked for at this hotel.
Disappointing experience
I have stayed at the Cavendish many times over the years and enjoy its great location and proximity to the major attractions in central London. This is despite its well known shortcomings in terms of noise and poor sound insulation both internal and external. Some of this is beyond the hotel’s direct control with two noisy nightclubs in the vicinity. On this occasion I was initially given a room directly behind the lifts which brought its own noise problem. In fairness I was moved to a better room.
The properties a little worn out, but it did have good coffee and tea in the room, the staff is super friendly but most of all it’s all about LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. You’re a three minute walk from Piccadilly Circus, and Chinatown. You’re also on one of the best streets for shopping in London, and the hotel lobby is very beautiful. The shining star of this property is the wonderful staff, great customer service, so friendly and really accommodated me. I would stay here again.
Although hotel staff were friendly and helpful, it was so inconvenient and disappointed that there is no elevator/lift access to the 15th floor where all of suites are located. Hotel staff helped us for bringing up our big and heavy baggages all right we had to bring them down by stairs to get on the elevator on 14th floor.
Very small room and bathroom .food left in fridge.
Fantastic location.
Fantastic location in London. Great food and attractions in every direction.
Perfect location, slightly tatty but fine
Excelente
I had a fantastic stay at the Cavendish. The staff was warm and friendly. The room was always clean. Pall Mall is a fantastic area, and I would come back soon.
The staff here are excellent and the location is a perfect base to explore London. The only down side is that even though it’s on a side street, the street noise can still be quite loud, especially when the pub down the street is closing.
Very convenient to popular areas of interest and the facilities were well maintained. The staff were pleasant and very helpful.
We stayed here recently when we came to London to see Les Miserables. It was ideally located in a lovely area. It took us about 30 minutes to walk from Victoria Coach station, through St James's Park, and it was only a 10 minute walk to the theatre. There are lots of places to eat - some expensive, some more affordable - and it was a short walk to Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff on reception were friendly and polite. Would definitely stay here again.
The person checking us in gave us two beds which made it much better for both of us.
The hotel was lovely and well situated. Almost everything was walking distance. The staff was helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.
PERFECTION!
PERFECTION! I could not fault this wonderful hotel during our 2 night stay in London. We travelled as a family (me, wife and a 4 year old) and from the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out everything was world class. The location is amazing as you are on the doorstep of most of London attractions but being one road behind Piccadilly it actually feels quite quiet. If you are a runner like myself then Green Park and Hyde Park are on your doorstep and offer great running routes. The room was spacious and very clean. It had all the needs mod cons and the beds were extremely comfortable and it took quite an effort to take my little boy in the morning as he slept like a log! Breakfast was exceptional and if we did have to ask for anything the staff were there to help us and could not have been more accommodating. The food was fabulous and the coffee was to die for. Thank you to everyone at The Cavendish for making our stay so special and we will definitely be returning in the future.
Great location
We loved the locatiin, very convenient for all of the sites we had on our list. I do have an issue with the room description that i booked. It clearly stated bedroom with separate living area. This was not correct which was extremely disappointing. We were expecting a separate bedroom. Considering the price I paid, i could have rented two gotel rooms, allowing my son the privacy he required.

A gem for the theatre
Really enjoyed our stay at the Cavendish. The staff weee so helpful and friendly. Breakfast is excellent and highly recommended. The room was small-ish, but comfortable and well appointed. We had a view that spanned a huge swathe of the city from Big Ben, the London Eye, St. Pauls, the Shard all the way round to the BT Tower.
The Cavendish Hotel is strategically located. walking distance to the Underground, a convenience store, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, Chinatown, and all the major landmarks in London. overall, i am happy with my stay.
The staff was very helpful and kind and the location was great
Everything was great, location superb, room and bathroom were amazing, staff very friendly. But one thing that I just can't believe, is the lack of plugs by the bedside table!!! now we use our phones for alarms and anything we can think of, we need to pug them by the bed at night to charge! I can't believe that a hotel doesn't have bedside plugs!
Excellent hotel, brilliant location.
Excellent stay. Brilliant location.
I loved being here. I have been there many times and I just love it. I go running every morning to the Buckingham Palace area and to the St James park.
It has gone downhill quality wise. The products lack, the linens and towels aren’t great. It feels like a glorified Marriott. There was very loud construction near by, as well.
The up to date decor, the layout and size of the room, the color scheme, the cleanliness. Everything was great
Id definitely come back to this hotel. It’s so convenient to all the main day time and evening sights, attractions and activities. Our room was a bit tight but there was a great walk in shower without a tub which is most convenient for older travelers. The staff is more than helpful and pleasant.
Noisey both inside hotel from hotel staff slamming doors and outside on street . Lots of construction work making it noisey from 6 am
We like the area and the hotel was convenient for the theatre and restaurant we were visiting. The receptionist was pleasant and efficient. The doormen weren’t welcoming, failing to smile or greet us at all. The room was clean and functional but very small. We were surprised to be disturbed by the building works nearby as we were on 11th floor. The bar area was basic. Note - they stop serving at 12 whether or not there are guests drinking. Bizarrely they had run out of all bar nibbles - peanuts, olives etc. Sadly we wouldn’t return.
Extremely convenient safe neighborhood- central staring point to all main attractions. Expensive neighborhood, hard to find any hole in the wall hidden gems. Courteous staff.
Location, staff, cleanliness, beds, and access to amenities were all excellent. The hotel does need to be upgraded. I stayed at the hotel several times years ago when I was doing business in London and I don’t think there have been many upgrades since that time.
Location is awesome!
Birthday get away
Clean well priced hotel near to soho. Unfortunately there is some building work going on nearby currently
Best hotel we stayed in London
A shick hotel in an excellent location
Great hotel
Lovely hotel, very central, great views and service.
Overall a wonderful experience, very nice hotel, friendly staff, central location, walking distance to major landmarks the green park Buckingham palace piccadlly circle
Time for considerable update
The room was very poorly equipped impossible lighting for ladies small hand free mirror as mirror in bathroom had been broken previously and not repaired . Only shower in bathtub and for elderly occupants dangerous to attempt to climb into the bath .very hard bed , towels were old and grey looking . Staff were friendly good central position needs updating
thank you for let us stay with you_)
A somewhat tired property in need of refurbishment. Rooms whilst clean have a tired appearance with lots of wear & tear. Badly sticking entrance door, television support arm loose being 2 examples
We had a nice stay. I did think the room size was small. The service at breakfast needs to improve but the food was good.
Perfect spot for soho and Leicester Square, not in the main area but only a 5/10 minute walk away. Staff are lovely, and very kindly decorated our room for our anniversary and left a bottle of Prosecco on arrival. We also had the surprise of a room upgrade and some incredible views of London skyline. Really nice touch. We personally found the bed to be way too hard, and there was a fair amount of noise in a morning from toilets flushing and showers on around us etc. I thought that bar in the hotel wasn’t up to much but that’s no problem with soho nightlife only minutes away. I would stay here again due to location perfect central point.
There was a lot of construction going on across the street, but the location was perfect, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and comfy.
Lovely welcome, room allocation ahead of check in. Luggage storage seamless and with a smile. Room wonderful on 8th floor, large and well equipped. Ideal for walking around the area and we only walked during our time there as it was so handy for everywhere we wanted.
Really good location but the property itself was fairly average. Room was pretty small & it looked a bit tired. Was fine for us as we were only there one night & was out most of the time.
This hotel was in the best location. The room was clean , the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall excellent hotel. If you want a lovely London experience, stay at the Cavendish!
