Great location! Noisy but you are in the city. Furniture uncomfortable and worn. Needs to be replaced. Could have been a little cleaner. Everything else was ok.

The location is good but the apartment near the train station so at night is a bit noisy. The lift no fans installed . The view is excellent. Love it

Air conditioning was inadequate so room was hot for entire stay. Small rooms for 4 people.

我們住了不只一晚，都有請飯店幫忙更換浴巾，但是我們廁所及廚房的垃圾桶快滿了卻都沒有更換⋯在其他飯店沒有遇過這樣的情況，讓我們整體感受不是很好。加上地理位置離大眾運輸軌道很近，非常嘈雜，建議如果需要很安靜的環境才能休息入睡的人，千萬不要選擇。但是飯店人員服務態度是好的，值得肯定！

Great location

Nice apartment and great location, although it was noisy being close to trains coming/going to/from Flinders St station. One thing I don't get though, and it's not just with this apartment, it's at plenty of others also, but if a microwave is available, for goodness sake provide containers to use in it!

Staff were very friendly and the apartment well cleaned. The location is sadly very, very noisy and earplugs are required as all street/train sounds carry into the apartment. Furniture is aging and beds need an update.

This property was so convenient. We were able to walk to most places within the CBD with the option of a free tram. Kitchen had everything we needed. Laundry was in the room, nice. The bed was super comfy. The small gym on the 28th floor was convenient and had really awesome views. We were on the 12th floor so I slept with earplugs as I could hear the traffic noise. Despite this, I would recommend it and stay there again.

Expects premium pricing, deliverers a scuffy badly maintained property. One lift has so much noise from collapse bearingsa that you can hear it in the shaft whenever & wherever it is moving, mismatched cutlery & crockery, damaged shower fittings, scuffed walls in both public areas & within the apartments. Hot water went off & when you went to find out an ETA, would find a sign on the reception door saying "be right back", but no time it was stuck there nor an approx time of them coming back to give answers. This was the last chance of my wanting to return here after hoping that they had taken previous feedback on board, seems not. Plenty of other similar properties close by, cheaper & dont pretend to be "premium". Dint honour the reserve now, pay @ property but took funds credit card fee...for a debit card transaction 5 days prior to arrival. No way to actually pay by inserting card into a device, "we dont do that". Farewell, sadly a great place previously that is being driven into the ground over the last few years.

Fantastic hotel very centrally located just 100m from Spencer Street station. Staff friendly and very helpfull. Tram right outside front door and on Spencer st.

Convenient for visiting the CBD

Convenient locarion close to Yarra river and Southern Cross train station. All essentials present, nice big fridge and decent cooking facilities. Property slightly tired looking, A/C could use some maintenance (slightl noisy and has a broken flap). Gym looks okay (didnt use), nice view from 28th floor terrace. Clean and quiet in as far as there was no noise from the hallway, though the trains can be heard even in the rooms facing the opposite side, which was the biggest drawback for me. Light sleepers wishing to sleep past 6:30am on weekdays and 7:30'ish on weekends might prefer to stay elsewhere.

Easy to access city and great view from the top outside gym

The room was clean and in a convenient location however the room I was allocated was very noisy due to the train track nearby.

The apartment is good in general. However, our apartment does not have bedrooms aircons. Aircon was only available in living area, and we needed to keep our bedroom doors opened to let cool air to get in. We were having hot days during our stay and temperature at our bedrooms was definitely not cool enough.

Clean, comfortable stay with a lovely view. Will stay again. Perfectly located for my needs to attend a conference at the Convention Centre.

Nice location but could do better with cleanliness

Location was good, 10mins to southern cross station, near 2 free city tram stations (until you go out of the zone). Very near the crown, south wharf and the aquarium. Room was same as the photos but curious about how often the room is cleaned since there is dust everywhere. Definitely can do so much better with the level of cleanliness. We saw that you have to pay to get your room cleaned. Good facilities with washer and detergents. However not sure if we can open the window, we were lucky to be there when it was cold. However, based on location we would come back.

Easy access to the city and public transport.

We called front desk so many times during our stay because no one would answer whenever we called. For small things, like a hairdryer, or to arrange a late check out. And not to be petty, otherwise I would’ve said something in person, but the hotel said they’d do something special for our anniversary, but did nothing. Their words, not mine.

Location and price are really great!

This was the second time we have stayed here and it was great again. Be aware this is right by a tram stop and corner that trains run through until late so it can be a bit noisy but you do get used to it quickly. The plus is that the transport options from here are as easy as possible. The apartment is well equiped with a full kitchen if you want to cook however there are so many food places you likely wont want to, also an apartment size fridge which is good. I would stay again as we always enjoy it and the location is too handy. The bed was the most comfotable hotel bed we have ever had and loved the pillows too, great 6 day stay.

a somewhat brief stay at the Canvas, had executive suite on 25th floor that seemed to be away form the noise issue. Apartment was well equipped including a washer/dryer combo, good shower, bed was comfortable but a bit on teh small side. Location was okay, close to convenience stores and some local restaurants. Overall a pleasant stay.

The apartment was ok but they are sadly not serviced. Bed way too soft for me, but that’s a personal preference. Location would be fantastic except for the fact it’s right next to the train and tram lines and the noise is ridiculously loud. The view across the river to Southbank and to the ocean was spectacular.

This accommodation was great for what we needed with 2 young children.full size fridge,washer and dry, two rooms and lounge area. Bathroom could have been cleaner though.

Great location. Very accommodating staff. We requested a higher room for daughters birthday if possible and they were able to accommodate, it was a wonderful stay. Very close to train station and aquarium. We would stay again.

There was a train that would go by every 45 min and was loud and felt like it shock the place plus normally in a hotel when you put the sing out for the room to be cleand someone would come in and change the sheets and make the bed and empty the rubish. We only had the bin done once the bed was never done. The smoke detector was covered and im shore thats against the law. And the kitchen knives are so blunt that it was dangerous to use and struggled to cut an onion. Definitely not worth the price i payed

The unit is well located for access to the city, but is best without a car. Parking in the area is difficult even to drop your bags off. The unit is very clean and well presented. Staff communication is good but could be a bit better.

I've stayed here before and will stay again. Convenient location, spacious and well equipped rooms, tidy, modern and comfortable. Full sized fridge, washer & dryer, microwave and cooking facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Very close to 3x tram stops. More than happy to recommend.

Wonderful Value

Our Canvas Apartment offered a huge 42m room with all the facilities you would want. Located a stone throw away from the tram stop in Flinders Street giving you free access to all of inner Melbourne. A full supplied kitchen enabling you to do your own breakfasts (and dinners if you wish). Bed was comfortable

You get the full melbourne city living experience in this amazing one bedroom apartment. Close to everything and the rattling of the melbourne trains 24/7. If you ever want to move to melbourne you’d stay here for a week just to get the feel for things. The apartments had everything from plates bowls and glassware, a full size fridge and stove. If i didnt love sydney so much i coulda moved in! Will definitely be staying here again

Advertising that you will do your best to accommodate early check in is a total overstatement of the service provided. Suggest removing this from the website.

Location is great for accessing the river walk, docklands and CBD so is close to many attractions and restaurants. The room has lots of windows....but you are in a fishbowl which other hotel rooms across the narrow alleyways can see into and since the bedroom has a glass wall from the living area so you need to keep the blinds down. Also really dark as the building was shadowed by those around it. Check-in was not smooth. I contacted them two months in advance to let them know that I would be arriving after their 8pm closing time. They told me they would send me a link to submit details to do a late check-in 24 hours before my arrival date. This never happened, which meant I had to call them to find out where this link was...and even then they didn't give me the information until I was in the air (and hoping that I would have the access info when I landed).

The apartment was spacious and well thought out. Only downside was the outside noise - could hear trains and cars going past at all hours. Earplugs may be necessary

Rooms are a great size with very comfortable beds, multiple public transport options right at the door!

Terrible stay as rooms are so noisy from outside with trains and trams, the noise is that bad it's like a window is open, noise from trains is all night so don't expect to sleep. We had 2 different rooms and both had same issues, no double glazing. Aside from the noise, rooms were spacious, clean and extremely comfortable, the noise just wrecked it so wouldn't come back

Despite being on the 19th floor the noise of trains on the elevated rail bridge over Spencer Street was very loud particularly noticeable when trying to sleep. Surprised that the room did not have face washers in the bathroom and when I asked at reception they advised they are never provided. When staying for 3 nights enough dishwashing liquid and powder should be provided. Other than that it was reasonably clean and well equipped for longer stays and in good location for transport.

Penthouse was a great size and very comfortable for price. Elevator didn’t stop at our level 8pm-8am which wasn’t ideal, but luckily we have no issues with a few stairs.

Fantastic people at reception, very helpful in every way. The room has great views and the amenities were top class. Recommend this hotel for everyone.

The unit was beautiful and clean. Our unit had a magnificent view but to have the view meant we were next to train tracks and road with a lot of noise. Check in was so smooth and easy staff were brilliant The hotel so central to everything

I was extremly disappointed at this property. When i checked in, the receptionist did not warn me how noisy lower levels are ( i was at 8th floor) due to the train and train noise. I am usually a good sleeper but it was soooooo noisy thst i could not sleep at all. If he warned me before, i would have paid more to get higher level but very disappointed that i was not warned before. So disappointing and I usually do not complain. Never going back.

Great space and central location!

The Canvas Hotel was really comfortable with modern furnishings. The only downside was there were some really bad stains on the carpet in the bedrooms. The carpet either needs to be replaced or cleaned thoroughly.

Really noisy, hard to sleep well at night with all the noise from the trains and cars. Everything else is good. Not recommended as too noisy. We have stayed in other hotels in Melbourne city, didn’t experience such noise.

Two night stay in the heart of Melbourne. Great location, very walkable. Only challenge which unfortunately we did not have an opportunity to report due to the lack of a 24 hrs reception was the high pitched sound from the refrigerator and the rattling of the in-room heating. This drove us crazy. We needed to keep the bedroom door closed due to the painful noise from the refrigerator.

Beautiful staff, Comfortable clean and modern apartments. Shower head would unfortunately not stop flopping back up against the wall when you turned it on so showering was a bit hard but otherwise thanks for a great short work stay. Would definitely recommend.

A great property, easy to access and very comfortable. A little noisy because of the location opposite the main rail, although I expect all hotels in Flinders Street would suffer from this. I’ll stay here again.

easy and hassle free check in, the place was lovely and clean to stay in and was comfortable for our group. our fan in our bathroom didn’t work and when the heater was turned on it had a very odd noise, which were the only things of note. we will definitely be back to stay sometime soon!

I wouldn’t stay here as there is no dedicated parking for patron, however ecellent condition inside and of gym and rooftop. Fantastic stay just the parking was a hassle

the staff were very lovely and friendly, however, when we put the ‘room replenish’ sign out our room was almost completely untouched which was a little disappointing as the rest of the stay was lovely.

I was in studio on 26th floor with window facing down the river to the east. Good: Comfy bed, good shower. Pretty well equipped studio. Good location for convention centre and Southern Cross Station and cbd trams. Good value at time for price paid. Bad: noisy, terrible air con that didn’t air-cool the space. It was a single unit beside sofa that only cooled around it and not the glass enclosed bedroom. It was so noisy and with changing noises that it was hard to sleep. The fridge audibly whined even though it was enclosed in a cupboard too. I am not usually noise sensitive but this impacted my sleep.

Checkin was easy staff very friendly. Close to flinder st station and southern cross, on the tram line. There was no cooling in the bedroom so our forst night it was quite hot. Reception gave is a fan for our next 2 nights. You could hear the trains so it was a bit noisy and our room wasnt serviced although we did get clean towels as we left the repenish sign in the door. It was good having a washing machine and dryer in the room as we didnt have to bring hpme dirty cloths. If needed you can store your suitcases until your are reqdy to go to airport or train station
