Retro Oasis in the heart of Vancouver

We loved the retro vibe, and all of the little touches- little free library, piano to play in the parking garage, beautiful courtyard. The room itself was newly remodeled and clean and bright. The staff was exceptionally helpful- giving us an upgraded room so that we we didn't have to wait until check in. They also graciously held our luggage for us before our late flight.

Everything was great. Clean and tidy rooms, staff was very friendly and nice. The outdoor amenities were cool. Walking distance to many places downtown Vancouver. Only con was the parking garage was very small and tight! Would recommend staying here for sure!

This property is in the downtown area and close to many sightseeing locations and activities The curtain was broken and would not close completely for black out environment

Was good for the price. Don’t expect luxury stay but it is an excellent location if you want to explore downtown area by walking around.

Noisy

If you don’t tolerate noise well, this is not a stay for you. Portable AC unit is loud. I’m glad it was not sweltering hot to have to listen to this all night. Every time it started I thought a trick was rolling by. Lots of construction in the area that started at 8:30. So much for a good night rest.

Nice hotel, bordering on a sketchy area but clean and convenient for downtown access.

They provide rooms with coffee and herbal tea, I hope they add Black tea bags

For the price this place was unbelievable value. It's a pretty no frills property, but it was clean and in a terrific location. Checking in is a bit stressful if driving because there is technically no parking on the street in front of the lobby, however check in was really quick and they directed me how to access the on site parking. Overall it is definitely a great choice for a value conscious traveler.

It is by a hospital so there can be sirens going at all hours. They were experiencing some flooding during my stay so there was water cleanup going on. Staff was very friendly. The café next door had good food and beverages. Walking distance to downtown and loads of restaurants and shopping.

The place are accessible and close for everything. The staff of the hotel are very helpful.

I like that its enclosed and its own private area in the middle of the town and parking was gated although dont recommend for trucks (F150 was tight). The theme was really nice that it was old fashion but clean. It advertised that continental is available but this is not true. I also wasn't a fan the shampoo and body soap is a 2 in 1.. not ideal for females.

good location

This place is my new favourite hotel in Vancouver. Perfect location to walk to tons of places. I had a room at the front of the hotel and there was little noise for me. Staff is awesome, rooms clean, very clean. Price is affordable

This is a beautiful hotel. It has an excellent location with all the eateries, tourist places and bus and train stations close by. It has ample parking and very pretty appearance with an external fireplace and a terrace garden. The staff was friendly and welcoming. My only disappointment was with the misleading information on the Expedia website stating breakfast is available. Moreover, I double checked with the night staff if it will be available and was reassured that it does. It resulted in me getting late in the morning for an appointment as I had to buy breakfast from outside and leave in a hurry.

The staff were super sweet. I love how I could borrow an umbrella and bicycle. The location is perfect and walkable to great shopping, food, and a bike ride away from beach and Stanley Park. My bathtub was not draining properly which was very unfortunate but then after I alerted the staff, they got someone to come fix it right away while I was out. Also, the light switch by the bed was really small so I couldn't figure it out at first. The staff helped me figure that out though too. What was also really cute about the staff was how they offered a non-alcoholic drink and snack in the evening. They also always had the little fireplace going and I saw people always enjoying that space. The palm trees are pretty. There was constriction noise during the day but luckily I was out during most the day. There was a lot happening in the city while I was there and I used the maps at the front desk to help me navigate! Overall, it was a really cute and convenient spot and good value.

It was nice clean and at a walkable distance from Rogers Arena. The coffee job adjacent to the hotel was super convenient as well. Overall a good stay and would stay here again!

Property is old and renovated, though they have maintained well, but kids not feel comfortable. Though the parking is free, space are so narrow and hard to park and get out. May be this is good for couples

Great stay

Clean hotel and friendly service. Rooms were basic but offered everything we needed for our 2 nights.

Unique property with lovely courtyard incl fire table and games. Older yet well kept and clean, had everything we needed and good pricing. Great, friendly staff and convenient location. We’ve stayed here before and will again.

Comfortable. Had to circle few times to find where to park. Microwave in basement, No plastic bags for trash.

Fun, clean, affordable with pleasant and helpful staff. Great location, which does mean it can be loud at night. HVAC system is loud, as the are window units, and bathrooms are a bit small. Very cute open courtyard with fireplace. Close to everything and secure.

Friendly and helpful check in. Good knowledge of the area and advice given. Surprisingly quiet room for the age of building and area. The little courtyard is cute and a fun feature. Only complaint would be shower pressure isn't really great for long hair. Overall a great stay and very convenient to theatres and restaurants.

It’s a redone motel but it’s cute, clean, convenient and affordable. The staff were lovely, for the price we will stay again.

Great location. Room was clean and staff were pleasant. Parking was easy to access and restaurant on site was welcome. Excellent price. What more could you ask for?

The front desk staff were great, no complaints about them at all. The cleaning staff, unless you put out the door hanger that specifies no cleaning, even after they wake you in the morning and you explicitly tell them you don't need the room cleaned, after you leave for the day, they will will still come into your room and clean it (and still manage to leave hair in the bathtub). Then when you raise the complaint to the management, you will be met with condescension like you're in the wrong, and its perfectly normal for cleaning staff to sneak in after being told no. The area around the hotel is very sketchy, human and dog scat everywhere, there is a very busy hospital across the street, speaking of, parking is limited availability, so if you are one of the many unfortunate people to come after all stalls are taken then staff will recommend you to park in the hospitals parkade. The room was good, nothing super exciting, all the outlets were worn out so nothing stayed plugged in, shower was weak.

I moved here after the Sheraton became violating of my privacy and trust and was wholly too fancy for me— wish I had done the Burrard sooner. Casually clean cool calm and collected— I loved my stay.

Hotel might work for you if it’s not noisy.

The hotel has a good parking and friendly staff. I stayed at the 4th floor which is their highest, however, you will hear the dumpster honking and the sirens of the ambulances because it’s right across the hospital. In short it’s noisy for me.

A solid stay

A solid stay. The building is a bit outdated. I could hear some mild street noise from my room and a TV from a neighboring room. The room was comfortable and clean. The location is fantastic. Close to lots of restaurants and shopping. The staff is very friendly, professional and attentive. Overall, a decent stay.

Was not impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Found old sushi in the fridge when l checked in… no soap in the bathroom everything was empty…

Excellent service at the property. The rooms are clean and beds are fairly comfortable. The area is very walkable to public transport (bus/skytrain) and has nice restuarants in the area. Overall extremely affordable per night; we stayed there for 5 days.

On site parking is tight but it is there and nice to have. The property itself is fun, modern and retro balance. The staff are lovely. The room amenities were modern and upgraded. It's walkable and convenient to so much of the downtown area.

The staff was very good to deal with and helpful as i am hard at hearing. Clean room and nice grounds. I would like to thank Tony (an employee)for his honesty. I left my wallet in the safe with a good sum of cash in it, he turned it into front desk and I got my walket back. Thank You so much Tony for your honesty.. a gentleman and an asset to the Burrard. I hope they appreciate this young man. I stayed there a second time, and will again when in need.

Maybe you’ll sleep, maybe you won’t

There was a late night four-hour long domestic dispute happening in the next room, and it took 4 phone calls to front desk for them to call security. The front desk said they are understaffed at night and can’t take action. I won’t stay here again knowing guest safety is not a priority.

This hotel has personality and character and is excellent value for money. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room was very comfortable, comfy bed, clean, blackout curtains and nice touches like unique artwork, espresso machine, tea, fridge, ironing board etc. Room was a comfortable temperature too. Free bike hire is a great touch and was a fun activity. And 12pm checkout is handy. Bring a book for the book swap. Would definitely stay again.

Great customer service; everyone was very friendly and approachable. Always looked out for any necessary needs that I may have necessitated. Surrounding area was very friendly, calm, and quiet. Very easy to navigate around the surrounding neighborhood.

This was extremely convenient for the hospital appointments, close to restaurants and shops.

Amazing place! Close to everything downtown.

Rooms were basic but clean, as expected. Hotel is in a good central location for walking to both Granville Island area and Canada Place. Staff were friendly and helpful. One of our two rooms was available well before check in time, which was much appreciated.

It was a great stay that started with a great welcome from the staff who were friendly and personal.

This is an older hotel that has undergone small renovations, the surrounding area is okay - next to the hospital and somewhat clean, and the rooms are fine. I stayed one night and it worked well for what I needed but I wouldn’t choose this hotel again due to the noise levels.

This is where we always stay when we go to the city for a concert or even in Van. It's clean and simple and iconic. Parking is extra and it's a good idea to request in advance.

All staff were amazing. Free water provided which we never experienced from other hotels before. Free non alcoholic drinks & snacks from 7-10pm which is awesome. Highly recommended. Awesome location as well.

I like they offered the use of umbrellas which was great for all the rain while we were there. The also can provide great bikes for getting around the city but especially Stanley Park. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

일단 직원들이 다 너무 친절해서 좋았고 숙소도 깔끔해서 좋았어요. 다운타운에 위치해서 걸어서 어디든 갈 수 있었는데 병원 맞은편 도로쪽에 창이 있었는데 밤에 조금 시끄럽긴 합니다. 우산, 자전거(헬멧,락), 주차장에 전기차 충전하는 곳도 있는데 무료였어요. 👍
