Well maintained

The Berkeley is a first class hotel in every way. It has been recently renovated with high quality furnishings. The cafe/bar area is cosy and fresh flowers abound.Quality art decorates the lobby. The staff is friendly and polite.The food is excellent It is my favorite hotel in London.

Turned into a farce

The staff are fantastic, particularly the doormen. But repeated billing errors from restaurants and the cafe are concerning (Over $1,200) and on four occasions which had to be addressed. The big one which let them down, they checked us out in error while we weren't in the room (downstairs having morning tea) and removed all our luggage from room. Very red faced about it, but at this level an unacceptable blunder. While an apology was forthcoming, an offer of a gift of a cake was their idea of making amends. Disappointing.

A very special hotel

The Berkeley is a special hotel and have taken great care to make everyone feel comfortable during these unprecedented times. Service is excellent as always, rooms are well appointed and great location

The stay was comfortable and the service good. But beware there are a number of extra charges find their way into the bill.

The rooms are not similar one to another, you can get a really small one if you're allocated to a small room of the same category. Also, there is no English person working, everyone is eastern European

Amazing service, staff and hotel. Could not fault it. My partner and I had a fantastic stay for his birthday. We will be back!

Car meet

Lovely hotel will definitely be coming back I arranged the whole weekend and recommended to my friends which also booked there we all had a great weekend A great touch with the lights which created a great photo for my new car I only picked up that day

The first night wasn’t good because I was giving a very old furniture room. Although my friends were at the same hotel but they were getting a very nice room. I was asked to pay extras per night to get it. Even though the picture on Expedia are only showing the new nicer rooms. After complaining all over the place. Finally they moved me to the room expected.

First Class Hotel

The Berkeley hotel was Absolutely Amazing. The Staff were all first class and me being a business man myself would be honoured to have all of them working for me. Thank you.

The location of this hotel is inconvenient, we always had to drive a long time to visit museums. The bathtub was difficult to use because of its design. During the night, you could hear all the cars and it was very loud which made it difficult to sleep.

A Honeymoon Stay From Heaven

What a time we had, from the moment we arrived at the front door to the moment we left the staff at the hotel were fantastic, very welcoming and attentive but not overbearing. Nothing was too much trouble and our room was beautifully appointed. The meal we had at Marcus was superb, again, the service was immaculate. We went for a jog the morning we checked out, when we returned there was a small tray left out with fruit, water and face towels specifically for runners... what a special touch. All in all we loved our stay and will certainly be back for other special occassions.

A real treat in Central Knightsbridge

Lovely friendly staff from moment you meet the porter. Very easy booking in and were upgraded to a lovely well lit room with very comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom with excellent shower and deep bath. Enjoyed a fabulous five course Tasting Menu with paired wines at the 2* Michelin Marcus restaurant. Impeccable service. Did not have to check out until midday so had a lazy lie in and enjoyed reading the papers and a swim in the lovely pool, heated to 30 degrees so like a warm bath. Fabulous view over Hyde Park and Knightsbridge.

Very disappointing experience

Honestly , u deal with a bunch of unprofessional staff , I was offered twice a very low category room, smoking and I don’t smoke ,they even had windows open to air the room from how bad it was , facing the street and construction site ,the check in was delayed , at the cafe ,even though we ordered same breakfast daily we got different price for same order ,.

Not what I expected

I was going to London to attend a function. I arrived after 5:00pm but my room wasn’t ready. I told them I had to leave by 6:30 and needed to get dressed and ready. The woman at the front desk told me I could get dressed in the locker room. I said I preferred not to do that so I was given a temporary, smaller room so I could get dressed. When I left the hotel at 6:30, my room was still not ready. Luckily it was ready at 2:00 am when I returned. There were no real apologies or acknowledgment that my room was not ready more than 3.5 hours after the guaranteed check in time, no offer of a late checkout or any other accommodation for their failures.

Don’t waste your money

It was awful, don’t recommend it to anyone. The staff were unfriendly and nothing was on place

Beautiful hotel and fantastic location

The Berkeley is a wonderful hotel. The staff is a fabulous collection of service-oriented professionals who excel at customer care. The peaceful location is perfect and convenient. We were impressed by the attentive and personable management, and the beautiful and flawless renovation. The bed was super comfy, and we loved the location on the 7th floor as The Spa and Pool were just down the hall! The only negative is that the room and bathroom were too small for a lengthy stay of five nights.

Nice hotel near Hyde Park.

Nice hotel, but not as special as the price would suggest. Very disappointing that a roof had been put over the hotel. That significantly reduced the appeal and value. I would not have booked the hotel if I'd known this. So very upset that not made clear by Expedia.

Great hotel in great location, minor issues

Amazing location, you can walk to anything in London, staff is very friendly and helpful, room could use some slight updating and we were not notified that work was being done during the day and it was very noisy and disruptive.

Outstanding!

We always have an amazing stay here year after year. The new renovations this year made it even better. The service is outstanding and it's the best hotel for accommodating our 16 month old. We came last year when she was 4m and when we returned this year to find a hand written note and wooden toys for our daughter to take with us. They provide a bottle warmer and diaper pail as well. Every detail is thought of, this definitely one of my favorite hotels in the world.

A MileStone Birthday and Anniversary Trip

We were in London to celebrate an anniversary and to attend a very dear friend's milestone birthday. As we have stayed before at the Berkeley it was our number one choice. As always, the hotel created an amazing stay. From the roses and champagne, to the actual room, to the location, to the spa and, most importantly, to the staff one could not have asked for a more romantic and delightful experience. We will be back!

An excellent hotel in a great loacatiom

This hotel is run by a highly trained, friendly and well trained staff. The roof top pool is a great bonus. The Berkeley was recently renovated.

The Berkley always provides superb service in luxurious surroundings (as it should, given the price). If you come in from the US in the morning, often they will have a room ready for you. Alas, this was not the case this time. We stayed in two different rooms, as we check out in mid-week and returned later. The first room was a refurbished one, bringing the decor into the modern era. Copious teak paneling and cabinetry and an abundance of power plugs, USB ports etc. The second room was traditional, but relatively tame (no brocade curtains with tassels). All very nice. I always like the complementary shoe shine service.

Good location!

Location is very good. We were in 4th floor a non smoking flloor but I suffer from the smell of smoke all night, every night, because guests don't care and smoke any way that was the hotel respond to my concern. They did their best to help but they wouldn't change our room. They kept offering discount services for next visit:) and one day free breakfast. Rooms are out dated in some floors and small like the one we stayed for $650 a night. If you have problem with smoking, I don't recommend this place.

Great hotel if the construction is done

Would have been great except for the construction disrupting sleep and amenities. Wish I had known before I booked. Hotel was great about reducing the price though.

The hotel staff is very professional , elegance and polite . This is a seven star hotel in London . Breakfast is so so so tasty and excellent price . The location is in the Heart city of London . Thanx to the top management until the last worker in this hotel .Regards

A construction site not a hotel!

It is shocking that I had to pay 500 pounds a night to stay in a construction site! the hotel should be shut down during this renovation period. I don't understand how the relevant authorities are allowing operations to continue during the works! Extremely noisy, no entrance, a maze of hallways to go around the hotel, just not the experience you expect for this type of hotels! Too bad!

Construction Site without Notice!

We loved the hotel but we didn't love the fact that it was under construction and there was no mention of that fact by Hotels.com. The construction definitely impacted our stay. I was unable to have a business meeting because of the noise and nails started being pounded from 8:00am every day! I blame Hotels.com for not informing us of this very important fact because when we complained to the hotel, they said the alerts were out there!

Overnight stay

It was a convenient place to stay after a meal in the hotel . Our overall stay was excellent and memorable with very attentive service by all the staff. The room was very quiet with no street noise , a very comfortable bed so a good nights sleep was had .

The Berkley I going through renovation for reception. The rooms however are in bad need of it.

Love the place

I can't over state how good the Berkeley is, we loved our stay there. The staff are really lovely and very helpful. Breakfast is outstanding. The room was immaculate, spacious and exceptionally comfortable. At the moment the hotel is undergoing some building work and this meant that the Blue Bar was not open. We will be going back, I'm sure.

All aspects at the Berkeley are well covered and polished. There are a few improvements to be made but overall a good experience and I would stay again.

Great Location only out done be the fabulous staff

We had 3 wonderful nights at the Berkeley and were very impressed. We love the area because it's easy walking to great parks, shops, and museums. This was our first stay at the Berkeley and we will definitely be back!

Nice hotel at a nice place with a nice staff

Perfect area with a lerfect breakfast available. The staff is polite and warmful. The room is clean with noce view of Hide Park and church (we have booke two rooms). Fast check in and check out.
