Great service as always
The staff was very friendly and accomdating and the bar had a great vibe
It was like a movie set my wife and I loved it.
Absolutely loved everything about this hotel. Valet was absolutely amazing. Wraps restaurants were also perfect. Staff was absolutely wonderful.
I liked the antique and unique decor pieces and the style of the hotel
Understaffed. We called twelve times to get towels and our toilet was running the entire time. Their plumber came “to fix it,” but it still made noise. There is a nightclub inside that we were never told about. If you are staying during the weekend forget about getting any sleep. There was thumping music until the early morning hours. We hardly slept while there.
I put in/gave my Hyatt number #G50361292M. I was in room 924. Please fix this and credit my Hyatt Account. Thanks B Hayes bkhayes8@gmail.com
Charming hotel
Great hotel for sleeping no traffic/street noise! Limited menu at bar room as well as short period for breakfast. Otherwise, hotel was full of charm and character.
Wonderful stay
The Beekman was excellent in every way! Highly recommend!
Felt like 3stars hotel
It felt like 3 stars hotel. No doorman, the pickup from the airport that we ordered from the hotel made us walk in the cold with the luggage to the parking lot with him. I mean what the point to get a private drive if you need to start walking miles in such freezing weather to the car?! We asked for late checked out the said no. I ordered sparkling water at the bar she gave me this huge bottle without a glass or anything like I'm in the supermarket. Very noisy rooms. Idk we stayed for less than 24h so it was ok not more than that.
Can not wait to return. I lost my wallet and EVERYONE was so helpful. Beautiful property in a cool neighborhood!!!
Gorgeous hotel - we loved it!
Great hotel
I really enjoyed the hotel it was really nice, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was amazing. Getting to the hotel from the metro was really easy from Penn Station.
This place is uniquely beautiful. I loved it and would go back again and again.
Great property. Very clean room and good sized shower for NYC hotel. Staff is wonderful.
Quality property with an exceptional staff.
We were so excited to return to the Beekman having had such a great experience in 2019. The property has gone down hill since and was both run down and dirty. kudos to the staff for upgrading our room, but the floor was filthy and we only got housekeeping services (clean towels, etc,) for 4 of the 6 days there.
Beautiful well kept property. Great restaurants options.
Positive aspects of our stay were negated by (a) bed bugs and, even more concerning, (b) the hotels lack of response to our concerns regarding them. My husband and I woke up on the first night being bitten by bed bugs in our corner suite. We could feel them but turned on the lights and didn’t see them and tried to convince ourselves it was just paranoia. We woke up on the second morning with a classic pattern of obvious bug bites indicating our suspicions were correct. We tried to stay calm and inform the staff quietly, preferring to give the property a chance to make amends in the case it was an early infestation and not the product of lack of a proper bed bug protocol at the hotel. They started by first telling us they did an investigation and there were none, then after seeing photos of the bites they agreed to at least treat the room. But as for us? In the way of compensation for our trouble and completely ruining our stay, as well as being forced to heat treat and throw away many of our belongings in an attempt to not bring the bed bugs home with us, we were offered an “upgrade” the next time we want to book with them. This room was a (paid) upgrade and there were bed bugs. There will not be a next time!
Easy walking to Bryant park and Times Square Great for tourists.
Amazing! Great staff, gorgeous hotel!
Beautiful architecture with clean well kept rooms. Rooms are decent sized for a lower Manhattan location. Housekeeping was offered daily with all amenities. Room service was great! Conveniently located with small cafes and delis on walking distance should you chose to not dine in. Front office staff was very helpful.
cool and fun hotel, but don't expect to sleep here
Really lovely place with a cool vibe and energy. I wish that I had known that the rooms surround a party venue with noise til one in the morning. It's ok if the rooms are sound proof, but it was super loud until everyone cleared out around 1:30 am. Then you could hear everything going on in the rooms next to you. Two girlfriends were fighting and cursing each other out early in the morning in the room next to us. We heard every word. Rooms are spacious for New York. Bathrooms are nice and shower is great. But if a good sleep is important to you, it's not for you.
A beautiful and historic property with a very vibrant crowd of people
Right on the heart of downtown. East walk to shops and restaurants.
Beautiful stay at the Beekman! Excellent staff, food, and a lovely well appointed clean room. The hotel is beautiful. Will definitely return!
A very beautiful hotel
Very loud inside and outside hotel, did not get a lot of sleep. Bathroom needs better cleaning, grout is moldy and tile rusty.
Temple Court is a great spot to meet friends and grab a drink and apps. The location is great and very walkable to so much in FiDi/downtown. We had an issue with no hot water a couple of mornings, and it can be pretty loud on some nights, but overall we've enjoyed both of our stays there.
We love this hotel and it’s our go to especially for special occasions.
Beautiful and spacious
Really loved this hotel! It’s beautiful - has a very unique vibe. The staff were amazing. Will definitely stay here again!
Everything was wonderful EXCEPT if you are hoping to fall asleep before the Bar Room at the bottom of the atrium closes, good luck. I never have an issue falling asleep and because of the way the hotel is built, essentially tiers above, it is like a clanking echo chamber. It sounded like we were at a ballgame. Our children were up all night. We got terrible sleep despite the beds being comfortable. If you are a light sleeper, AVOID. I am a deep sleeper and heavy sleeper who can fall asleep after a pot of coffee and I could not get the rest I needed.
Rooms were large and spacious
Top
More than an hour wait for a valet parking to get a car back It’s not acceptable.
Beautiful hotel in NYC that does not disappoint. Food, service and accommodations were wonderful. I will return and stay a bit longer next time.
Nice but a little noisy on the 4th floor
Service at the temple bar couple have been a bit more swift. Ordered a bottle of wine and waited over twenty minutes, asked server the status and did they couldn’t find the bottle. Waiting over twenty minutes isn’t really acceptable- clients should be informed the status or at least that they are looking for it and not wait almost half an hour to be told they can’t find the bottle so they could make a different selection. And when the tab comes there is a charge for the new bottle and the bottle they could not find.. be more transparent with clients.

Architectural Gem
The building is an architectural gem! I loved every aspect of its interior.
The staff is incredible at the Beekman.
Beautiful hotel and great service!!
Amazing hotel we had a great time!
Great
Loved it!!
Excellent staff, very clean environment, not noisy at all and lots of great places within walking distance
Beautiful hotel and great location
A truly stunning hotel, centrally located, amazing staff. A real 5 star experience! Tried the Beekman after a bad experience at the Four Seasons, and it was the best decision ever. We will be back.
A Good Time at The Beekman
We did have a great stay. Only area for improvement might be to include a luggage rack in the room for a place to pop a carry on. Otherwise staff was so kind and attentive. The environment was lovely and I can’t find any faults! A really pretty and unique hotel.
Customer service was excellent
This is one of the best hotels someone could stay at in NYC. Similar hotels would be the Mr C. franchise though the Beekman is a true art hotel in a historic building with no comparison in terms of a classic NYC boutique hotel. The downstairs restaurant and associated french bistro are top quality in a foodie city like NYC. I could not recommend a hotel more highly than the Beekman.
Meh…
The room got no sunlight and looked directly into an office building. It was constantly dark and everything was really old. The TV didn’t work and housekeeping never showed up once in 3 days despite us asking. I’m not sure why everyone thinks so nice. It was average and not worth the price.
Highly Recommend
This hotel is classy, elegant and exudes what you think of in a NYC hotel. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Have stayed twice now and look forward to returning in the future.
Great place, excellent service
Great hotel!
Hotel was amazing. Everything was very clean. Check in personnel were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. Wonderful restaurant as well!
The staff were terrific! Especially Annie who took care of our room and Taylor’s excellent individually focused guest service throughout our stay.
Friendly, trendy, great service. Would definitely return.
Beautiful hotel. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re traveling to this part of the city. Typical city traffic around the hotel. GPS was not helpful finding the front door. Drove around the block a couple times before we figured it out. Still, would definitely stay there again.
Loved it!
Nothing special
The service was amazing
Our stay at The Beekman was great. The best part is the on site dining options. The Bar Room is stunning and has a great vibe. Be sure to make reservations if you are visiting in the evening on weekends. The bell staff are especially friendly. The only complaint would be that there is no self serve water in the lobby and twice during our stay the coffee was empty (no in room coffee available). Also, turn down service was only offered for part of our stay.
The vibe, architecture, services, and amenities are all lovely. Staff is warm and friendly, and the food and drinks at Le Gratin were excellent. If you’re looking for a taste of luxury without paying what you’d pay for a room at The Plaza or The Ritz, I’d definitely recommend The Beekman.
Perfect Hotel
We had an amazing time here. The design, service, and location were incredible. The attention to detail in everything was incredible. We will be staying here when we come to the city from now on.
Nice quick getaway.
It was a couples get away night. Fantastic hotel overall. Great room, restaurant and bar/lounge. Only negative was that in a span of 15-20 minutes, there were 3 or 4 knocks on our door for various things which could have easily been combined. Not really their fault but hard to relax when people keep knocking. Also, a bit of bad luck with paying for an upgrade for a terrace only to be told later that we can't use it due to nearby construction...womp womp. Nonetheless, it was a little bit of bad luck on our end and we still really enjoyed our stay despite of this.
Old NY Charm
What a remarkable hotel - from the details to the service. Definitely a must stay.
I stay at the Beekman quite frequently and love the location and walkability, as well as, the hotel itself. This stay I had an issue with my room on the first day (not the quietest of rooms and I am a very light sleeper). I responded to an Expedia - "How was check-in" with a not too friendly response and within approximately 10 minutes I had someone from the Beekman ringing me to resolve the issue. Karina - Assistant Front Office Manager "talked me off my ledge" (was having a bad day after very little sleep) and fixed everything with such grace and understanding....she was AWESOME...!!! So on top of the great bar, great location and walkability, the real reason I keep coming back to the Beekman is the people.....Staff like Karina turned what could have been a disastrous stay/week in a phenomenal one. Thank you.
Now one of my favorite hotels! Adored my whole experience!
Lovely upscale hotel
Always a delightful stay!
Beautiful property, accommodating front desk, everyone was friendly and courteous. The housekeeping staff was amazing! We had an extremely enjoyable dinner in The Bar at Temple Court. We look forward to staying here again.
Beautiful interior, kind service
Beautiful lobby and dining area, cozy room (I stayed in a King Premium). Some bullet thoughts: - This hotel smells INCREDIBLE. I'm sad they don't sell the fragrance but it's remarkably nice - They do sell their body wash! I bought 3 big bottles. They accidentally brought up minis instead of the size I ordered and were kind enough to let me keep those, which was thoughtful - Our stay was for a birthday and I had asked concierge ahead of time for something special in the room. After our check-in, they brought up the loveliest tiny chocolate birthday cake with a candle! It's acts of service like this that make a stay special - I do want to note that the cleaning service didn't remove our used plates for the entire stay despite cleaning the rest of the room, but this is pretty minor! Overall a really lovely stay. I'll be sure to book here again the next time I'm in the city for something nice!
Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived so we were given drink tickets. When my husband went to pay, they didn’t apply the discount. So he had to get that corrected. Then when we went to our room, we were supposed to get lotion, a toothbrush kit and shaving kit delivered. They never brought it. The glass that I ate out of was never cleared from our room. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. They gave us chocolates and water. Was quiet.
Excellent
Lovely historic venue
The hotel is an incredible historic place. Everything is done thoughtfully and with great consideration for the historic beauty. The problems are this: the pillows were some of the worst pillows I have ever used. They were half pillows and very flat. Not sure if they were old or is this is some sort of decorating idea? No clue . Be aware that the place has it's own club or music venue that stays absolutely bumping until four am. In the room we stayed in it was like we were actually in the club. Which I know we are in New York City and noise is common, bumping club music is something the front desk should give you a heads up about. The front desk should provide a choice of a white noise machine or a small fan so that guests can have at least some distraction from the incredibly loud music. Earplugs would work in addition to the foregoing. The beds were not comfortable either. They seemed to be less than stellar quality. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. Just with a couple of the changes mentioned.
Historic classy and gorgeous hotel. Definitely stay again! And the bar and lounge is awesome place!
Not bad but would not add to my favorites
Comfortable bed and clean room. Food and coffee were not very good. Service was great.
Beautiful old hotel in a great quiet part of the city.
Good experience but lack of in room dining breakfast. Not to recommend
We stayed for my sister's 40th birthday celebration. The staff were all excellent, Daniel who checked us in at the front desk was also from Nebraska!
Lovely hotel, room was great. The immediate surrounding area of Nassau street is a little run down. We had a 3rd floor room. The surprise was you could actually hear the subway below the building. We had a room facing Nassau St. so thinking a more interior room might not hear the trains below.
Great experience at the hotel. It is beautiful and clean. Nelson took good care of us. Service at the bar attached to the hotel overall is lacking. Jose was lovely, however.
Everything about the Beekman was outstanding. We had a great weekend in the city and barely felt the need to leave the e building. Cocktails and service at the bar room were great and dinner at Gratin made for a super memorable birthday celebration. Thank you Beekman!!! We’ll be back.
Good location
The Beekman was a luxurious experience. The lovely decor and professional staff made us feel at home. And not to mention dining at The Le Gratin was magnificent.
Great Vibe!!
Everything was great except the one of the front desk staff. Skinny lady with dark long hair. She check me in and check me out and didn’t explain a thing. I was shocked she asked for another $300 even though I booked online and she didn’t explain what it was for. I was hoping someone else checked me in and out.
Cream is important!!
Here’s the crazy thing…an upscale hotel prior to 8 am was completely out of cream for guest coffee! Even went into the fancy hotel restaurant and they were completely out—none to be found. Thats just unacceptable for any luxury hotel.
Fantastic stay
Such a unique hotel with open atrium architecture. The service was wonderful, the room was a nice size and bed was comfy. Kitschy design with antiques. Bar area and foods were delicious. Excellent room service.
Fantastic decor and friendly staff.
This place is really aesthetic. It has an old school New York vibe which I liked. The actual ambiance of the hotel gives old money New York, especially the bar and restaurant they’re so cool and swanky. My room, however, did not. It wasn’t awful. But it wasn’t by any means luxe. But you get what you pay for. For $200 a night not too shabby.
The Hotel was so welcoming and lovely! We had a wonderful time.
Wonderful and convenient stay
Shower is amazing for nyc-excellent water pressure, updates shower, strong hand held. I appreciate how they embrace the past and present. A mix of old and new decor. Every person we encountered was fabulous. Lovely restaurant and the room was quiet and comfortable. Easy to get to PATH and subway. Thanks Beekman.
What a shame that such a beautiful property is so far from a five star experience. The front desk staff were so kind, and the room was as expected - aside from two deflated pillows serving as the only ones upon arrival. . . We requested four more since these provided no support for sleeping, and were brought only two about an hour later. That is where the experience turned from fine to quite annoying. We had dinner on property and paid by credit card (food was very good, service was slow and the staff seemed disorganized which we are now realizing wasn't just our perception). Unfortunately some else's meal was then also charged to our room and we are still working with the hotel one week later to have this removed despite multiple calls and emails and providing them with our dinner receipt. This property needs a new GM particularly on the restaurant side.

Feels like old time New York-like a trip back in time. Great location as well and the Atrium is spectacular.
