Comfortable, cozy and quiet with an amazing fresh cooked breakfast. Close to city and coast for exploring. Amanda the owner was a truly lovely person with lots of knowledge of the area.

Lovely stay Highly recommended

We loved every aspect of our stay. It is run by the loveliest couple who were so welcoming and very attentative to everything. It is run so well, very well appointed. It has awards every year and you can see why. We will definitely go back to visit.

Excellent place to stay.

Really lovely room. Lots of extras you don't usually get like a fridge, water, washing up liquid and cloths so you can wash up your glasses and cups, umbrella, torch and magnifying make up mirror. On arrival there was really tasty home made flapjacks in the room. Our room had a little decking area with chairs. We sat out one evening and it was so peaceful. The breakfast was good, with plenty of choice. The booking was simple and the owners communicated really well before and during our stay. Lots to do in and around the area. Would definitely recommend the barns.

The Barns - Thorpe Market - excellent B &B

We have recently stayed at Tony and Amanda’s B & B for three nights. Tony and Amanda are wonderful hosts, friendly and professional. The breakfasts were amazing, and the flap jacks when we arrived were a welcoming treat! The room was spotless, comfortable and well equipped. We will happily recommend ‘The Barns’ to friends and family should they visit North Norfolk and we would happily return ourselves another time.

So glad we chose The Barns

We had a truly lovely 3days at The Barns , our room and en suite was immaculate, our hosts did not skimp on anything, from the products in the bathroom to the littlle fridge , a tray with tea and coffee making facilities , also a plate of homemade cakes, fabulous. There was a good choice of breakfasts which the cooked breakfast were freshly cooked. Amanda and Tony were lovely and friendly hosts.

Three day getaway

A very comfortable three day trip to north Norfolk. The accommodation was excellent being well maintained and spotlessly clean. We were impressed by the hosts who were both friendly without being overly so. The outside sitting area was well constructed and welcoming on warm evenings. Breakfast was home cooked to order, very tasty and set us up for the days exploring. The flap jacks and bottled water provided on arrival were a lovely touch. Self Check- in was very easy and would recommend this bed an breakfast without hesitation.

Beautiful room

A beautiful room in a lovely quiet setting. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Loved the flapjack that was left for us, so tasty.

Absolutely wonderful service from delightful people

Lovely room, just a little too hot as couldn't get the towel rail in the bathroom to switch off. The beds were so comfy and breakfast service great. Very happy with our stay.

Wonderful

In the current Covid situation Amanda’s attention to sanitisation enabled us to feel very comfortable in our surroundings which were impeccable. The rooms were spacious and well equipped.The breakfast was always fresh and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and will return in the future. The location is ideal for exploring the northern coast of Norfolk.

Short trip to Norfolk

Very comfortable rooms which were quite spacious, very friendly welcome and service, superb atmosphere. Breakfasts were excellent and could not be faulted in any way. Would definitely consider staying here again should we visit the area again

Lovely, clean and decorated room with great facilities. Good choice of breakfast. Quiet location, ample parking, 5 mins from the coast, plenty to do in the area.

We had a very comfortable stay and where well looked after by the owners , we were impressed with the patio area where it was possible to sit outside and enjoy some sunshine good breakfast good sized room ,just right for a weekend break..

Lovely B&B near Cromer

We stayed 3 nights to attend a wedding nearby and walk some of the Norfolk coastal path. The 4 self contained rooms look out onto a courtyard which has been nicely landscaped with shingle and decking. Our room was large and well equipped with a flat screen TV and en-suite shower/WC. The breakfasts, taken in the main barn, were excellent. A very enjoyable stay.

Accommodation was superb, breakfast was ideal and our hosts could not have been more helpful in particular when my wife had a minor fall whilst out celebrating our wedding anniversary.

Wonderful B&B

Lovely B&B. Very comfortable, well appointed rooms. Cakes a lovely surprise on arrival- delicious too. Added bonus having own entrance to rooms. Breakfast good and freshly made to order. Would highly recommend as a place to stay. Had dinner at Vernon Arms one night - great meal.

Excellent B&B

We would highly recommend the Barns - think it is fair to say it's the best B&B we've stayed in. Amanda & Tony had thought of everything with lots of little touches such as home-baked cupcakes on arrival. The room was very comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. We particularly appreciated having a fridge in our room. Breakfast was delicious with many homemade treats such as granola and marmalade. Our hosts were friendly and informative about the local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you.

A charming place

Had a real nice couple of days here and will definitely be back. Owners were very nice and friendly, lots of info available about the area and it's attractions. Historical manor houses and their gardens to lovely beaches are all a short drive from this beautifully situated and presented well above average B&B

Perfect for a short, last-minute getaway!

We booked a last-minute 2 night break and based our decision on where to stay on the reviewer ratings. We were not disappointed - from the really friendly welcome to the decor and quality of the room to the lovely breakfast each morning this is a place we would recommend in a heartbeat. All of the attractions in North Norfolk are within easy reach - Cromer, Sheringham, the 'Burnhams', the broads at Horning and Wroxham and the deserted beach at Happisburgh. All of this was made more enjoyable knowing what fantastic accommodation we would be returning to each night.

The Barns is an excellent place to stay with superb breakfasts, an extremely pleasant and helpful couple who own it and our room was very comfortable. We couldn't have asked for more. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and hope to return before too long.

One of the best places I have stayed at!

This ticked every box! Free parking near the room, quiet only punctuated by birdsong, attractive spacious comfortable room with large very well appointed bathroom. Scrupulously clean, comfortable bed, coupl;e of armchairs -everthing had been thought of, even a little fridge and extension lead for laptop to plug into. Breakfast was excellent- fresh fruit salad/ cereal/juice to start, freshly cooked excellent cooked breakfast of local ingredients, choice of brown or white toast. The owner knows the area in depth and can direct guests to the most interesting places to visit of walks to take. It was excellent value too.

Beautiful setting, lovely B&B!

I booked a weekend away for my husbands birthday. We loved our stay- such friendly hosts, beautiful room and delicious breakfast! Would recommend this place for a quiet retreat to relax in.

Fives across the board from me. Hard to better. Ideal hosts, clearly passionate about service and the are they live in. Ideally located for a discovery of North Norfolk. We'll be back!

Stayed for two nights and without sounding slushy, could not recommend The Barns any higher than perfect. Remote location for peace and quite, extremely high service and was made to feel like a respected friend than a paying customer. To Sum up = Amazing Breakfast, Great local knowledge, FAST internet via Free WIFI and very comfortable rooms. Thank-you and WILL stay again.

Great rooms and friendly people

Everything very good, we discovered the homemade cake just before we left, the blue light on the tv so bright at night it kept us up so we put a towel over it, i think the owners should put a sticker over it, other than that, excellent. Not far from cromer for beach fun.

Short 1 night stay

Fantastic location, beautiful room and wonderful hosts........pretty good breakfast too !! If we are every in the location again we would use without hesitation. Just wish our stay was for longer.

A pleasant stay

Very nice room, only down side which was of no fault of the owners was a power cut in the morning, so no shower or cooked breakfast. The owners tried their best and rushed out for croissants and fresh bread then went to the next village for flasks of hot water so they could provide tea and coffee. They were very apologetic but would have been nice to be offered a small refund and or a discount on a future stay. Apart from that the room was clean and well presented and the complimentary cakes and biscuits in the room were a nice touch. Will most likely stay again

Fantastic stay

Being someone who travels a lot this was an oasis of excellence in a sea of mediocrity. Friendly, beautiful room,excellent service, locally produced food for breakfast, what you could you want? If you need to stay in the area, stay here. This is the first time I have rated my stay at any hotel but this was so exceptional I thought I had to.

Comfy Rooms & Great Hosts

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in the converted barn twin room - weather very poor so lots of TV watching ( TV screen a tad small for the generous room size) Super breakfasts and lots of local produce and home made jams, fruit compote etc Hosts went out of their way to be helpful and can confidently recommend this B&B to even the most discerning of guests.

Warmest Welcome!

The bearns is a lovely place to stay. The welcome from Amanada was second to none and topped off with some home made cake. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and I was made to feel very welcome throughout my stay. If I had anything negative to say, it would only be that the bathroom could do with an update especially the shower, as it's a little weak. I will definetly stay here again when I return on business.

Made to feel at home

Excellent value for comfortvand service. Great freshly cooked breakfast and superb cup cakes on arrival.

Somewhere a bit different.

A lovely small complex of barn conversions and outdoor seating area. Only stayed one night but very impressed. Excellent breakfast as well. The only down side was that it was a bit too far to walk to the nearest eaterie at night, so we had to drive therefore could not drink as much as we would have liked to, being on holiday. If we had thought of it, we could have bought a bottle of wine earlier, to have outside when we returned from the pub. That would have been bliss !

Couples

B&B was in a nice location, rooms were clean and with some nice touches with easy access to Cromer. Breakfast was particularly good. Think it is more of a couples place.

Well worth a visit

Tony and Amanda make you feel really welcome. From the light fairy cakes to the full english breakfast. Room was lovely and clean and even had the firepit lit for us. Really enjoyed the stay.
