Great hotel, that’s why we keep going back
Location is directly adjacent to airport train to Heathrow. I was traveling alone. My single room although quite small was complete in all details. Impressive for such a small space. I would happily return.
Great location, charming hotel, friendly staff (Anzhelika was very sweet, hospitable and accommodating) clean rooms, soft towels, towel hot bars, super comfortable beds and pillows. Lots of sweet cafe shops and late night bites. There are 3 underground tube lines that are right across the hotel which is perfect for those who do not want to pay for an uber/taxi every where. The Piccadilly tube is a popular line for most tourist attractions and is safe and takes you to and from the London Heathrow Airport. It is a safe quiet neighborhood. London is very walkable and the tubes and buses are very accessible. Food & drinks: There are a number of charming cafe and bakery shops and local late night bites as well as a mini mart for grab go items or a quick brekkie. Gail’s Bakery, Elixis and Pret are great spots for coffee and breakfast/lunch fare. There is also café, narrow, and a Starbucks close by the hotel.
I liked that there were several coffee shop options around the hotel. The location is not that great but you can walk to Kensington palace. The hotel is old and not quite updated. One room was very dusty, dim and very outdated. We were not pleased and after expressing our concerns, management changed our room to a better room.
Nice rooms great location helpful staff
A fabulous property in one of the best areas of London! Will absolutely stay here again
Amazing hotel
Amazing hotel with lovely comfy beds so you'll have a good night's sleep. Fab location too. Highly recommend.
Easy access to the tube
Very nice room, friendly and helpful staff, and so convenient to be across from the tube station.
The lobby and restaurant are gorgeous, but the rooms aren't nearly as fancy. My room was perfectly nice, but I don't think it matched the price or how ostentatious the rest of the hotel was. It was a solid 3 star hotel room, clean and comfortable with all the amenities, though was a bit dark because there's no overhead light and the window didn't let in much natural light (it was blocked by the opposing wall of the hotel). The location was hard to beat though, right next to a tube station, near the V&A and the natural history museum, in a beautiful area full of lots of restaurants and parks.
The Bailey’s hotel was a home away from home for us! The room was clean and the staff were top notch. We had breakfast every morning in the restaurant and it was always very nice and the staff were so now there as well. This will be our go to spot when visiting London. Close to the tube station and in walking distance to a lot of things to do.
Close to tube
Amazing location. Friendly staff. Try the restaurant downstairs. Went twice, it was really great. We will return.
So convenient, right across the street from tube station. Great room, extremely helpful staff. So much to explore within walking distance. Definitely happy with my stay!
Beautiful hotel in a great location. My husband was taken very poorly whilst we were here which resulted in a hospital admission of a few hours until the early hours of the morning. The staff allowed us to keep the room until the afternoon to give us time to rest and we’re very supportive. Thank you xx
Clean , friendly service. Close to London Underground
I really enjoyed the area of this hotel. It is right across from Gloucester station and also a bus stop. There are many restaurant options that are walkable distance. The hotel is very nice. My room was smaller than expected, but it worked well. The breakfast option was convenient and great food!
From the moment we entered The Bailey's we were impressed. We were greeted by a well dressed porter and when we checked in, we were able to access our room two hours earlier than the published check-in time. The hotel is easily accessible via the tube as there is a station directly across from the hotel. We booked the smallest, double room as we were literally going to be there less than 24 hours and would only be sleeping/showering in the room. It met our needs. We spent a few hours in the evening in the hotel bar and the bar tenders were wonderful and recommended places near by for a meal. We booked the Big Red (double decker) Bus to see the sights and there was a stop directly outside the hotel....that made it very simple. Would highly recommend this place. Checkout time was noon, so that was wonderful as well.
The heating/AC was not working properly. My room got a little too hot and it was already off.
The Hotel was fantastic and the staff were really helpful. It's in a great central location, perfect for visiting the Natural History Museum. It is also next to Gloucester Road tube station. We parked in the Millennium Hotel next door which was had preferential parking rates for Bailey Hotel customers. The only negative point I can think of was that the buffet breakfast was a bit ropey: but there are so many other places to eat nearby that didn't bother us too much.
Great value for money. Everything you need.
Very nice hotel. The small rooms are really small but other than that it was a nice stay and very convenient to Gloucester station (just across the street).
Great location only meters from the Underground, close to museums. Staff were great. Would make this our first choice when staying in London.
Lovely hotel. The bar manager ?Edward was exceptionally professional and nice.
Everything
Location location! From the moment we met Nic the Door man we felt welcome. Everyone was very helpful. If we go back to London we will stay here again!
Amazing stay!
Our stay was fantastic! Very centrally located, clean, comfortable and stylish with excellent service. We would gladly stay again!
The Bailey is a grand Victorian hotel that has been nicely refurbished. It’s right at the Gloucester Road tube station. Good amenities in the room including an espresso maker, upscale toiletries. The furnishings include a comfortable bed, ample desk space, and well made chairs. The weakest link for me is the food in the in house restaurant. There are many restaurants nearby. I would have been more satisfied having a meal elsewhere. The hotel breakfast was also nothing to write home about. Lots of over cooked eggs, breakfast meats and unimaginative breads. But there is variety in the breakfast buffet. I may have made bad choices.
Right next to a Tube Station so getting around London was a breeze. Beautiful hotel. Lovely room. Wonderfully professional staff. We will be back. In our mind the Bailey Hotel is our base camp while running around London.
Great location
Nice clean and pleasant hotel, perfectly located
Amazing location
Not so good
Rooms' doors make A LOT of noise when they are shut closed, so you won't be able to sleep past 7am when people start getting up. The hotel is a bit tacky and outdated, it looks like something out of a bad 90's christmas movie. The room felt claustrophobic with it's low ceilings, tiny bathroom and large furniture. Even with the elevator there are still steps, so keep that in mind if you have luggage. On the positive side it is right across from the tube station and there are grocery shops and restaurants around.
excellent stay
The kind smiles, the coffee in the room, the location, perfection.
Friendly and Comfortable, great location
Very friendly and helpful staff! The hotel was very clean and had a lovely, comfortable feel to it. We stayed in the small double room, and found that there was still enough room for two people to store luggage and move around comfortably. Location was great, right across from Gloucester Road Underground Station. A bit of noise on the street on one of the nights, but not the hotel's fault, and to be expected with a street facing room in London.
Great location - would definitely use again
Friendly and really helpful staff. Seemed keen on upselling to a bigger room etc, but to be fair they had a point (the double bed in the room we'd chosen was pretty small). Location is brilliant - just across the road from Gloucester Road tube station, a short walk from the Natural History museum and Royal Albert Hall.
Weekend at Baileys.
Wonder meals. Location close to shops snd museums
All the service staff from front desk to the restaurant are very helpful and friendly.
Excellent location, immediate access to underground, helpful staff. > Room refrigerator that really keeps food cool and isn't already full of purchasable beverages.
We enjoyed our stay here. Staff was very helpful
We enjoyed our stay and it is very conveniently located, right across the street from the Gloucester tube station. The staff was very helpful and allowed us to checkin very early. This will be my go to hotel next time we visit London.
I r was a pleasant stay . I would definitely come back again.
Great hotel!
Great stay!
Great stay. Excellent service, across the street from the underground, close to lots of places to eat, safe to walk around at night. Highly recommended!
Excellent hotel in a great location
Great location. Staff were excellent. Very comfortable. Room was a perfect size and well equipped. Very clean. Well maintained.
Wonderful
Beautifully appointed with a friendly, helpful staff in a great location.
Really sweet personel!
Very pleased with my stay in this beautiful hotel! Highly recommend.
Perfect room! Even with 2 double beds. Plenty of space.
I do not recommend this hotel. Poor customer service, many problems staff unhelpful
Kensington gem
Fabulous quaint hotel in Kensington. Across the street from both subway and bus stations for easy access to all that you might like to see in London. Quiet, easy for sleeping.
What an absolutely lovely hotel to choose from while my husband and I celebrated our honeymoon! Not only were we greeted with a welcome and congratulations upon arrival, but we were also surprised with a sweet congratulatory note and a bottle of wine from the staff that was left in our room. Not only that, but the hotel itself was absolutely beautiful! With a breathtaking lobby decorated for Christmas, a cozy bar off to the side, and the coziest rooms, it was such a nice respite at the end of our days. And the staff was always willing to be incredibly helpful if we needed anything, especially with this being our first time in London. Thank you for helping to make our honeymoon so memorable and enjoyable!
The staff were very pleasant
A Wonderful Stay at Bailey’s Hotel, London My family’s recent stay at Bailey’s Hotel in London was wonderful. From the moment we stepped into the beautiful Victorian building, we were greeted warmly by the staff. The lobby is lovely, with stunning architecture tastefully restored and charming Christmas decorations. The location of Bailey’s Hotel is unbeatable, situated in the heart of Kensington. It provided easy access to some of London’s most iconic landmarks, and the nearby Gloucester Road tube station was handy for exploring the city. The staff at Bailey’s were lovely and responsive. We checked into a suite for our family of four, and the concierge was very helpful, assisting us in booking our meal for the first evening. Our room was very good. The beds were comfortable, and the cleaning staff ensured the room was spotless, with bottled water and complimentary tea and coffee provided. The one negative was the limited closet space, which meant one of our children had to keep their clothing in their suitcase during the trip. While the rooms were nice, a bit of interior design could enhance their appeal. Overall, our stay at Bailey’s Hotel was wonderful, and we would certainly return again.
Incredibly helpful staff, before and during our stay. The rooms were great. The restaurant was great. We stayed over New Years, and other than fireworks at midnight, it was very quiet. The location was perfect for us and our 5 day stay.
Bellmen and bar staff were amazing!! Rooms need more attention to detail as far as cleanliness. Some decor is dated.
Love everything about this property except the breakfast, not terrible but not the best!
December in London
The Bailey’s Hotel never disappoints. Very helpful concierge, door men, and great English breakfast. Lord Gary always goes above and beyond expectations for helping with anything needed. The property is very clean. The location right across the street from Goucester Road tube stop is super. The location is also a few minutes walking to Victoria and Albert museum, Harrod’s, Royal Albert Hall, and several good restaurants. The Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning! We will return there next time in London.
All members of the staff were friendly and helpful. The concierge, Magic, was excellent and really dedicated to helping visitors plan their days. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the rooms were very comfortable and a good size.
Always missed to fill the supplies when cleaning the room. Dumped the drink on my daughter in the restaurant and still charging us service fees!
Traveled as a family of 4 with young kids. The Bailey was a welcome site after a long flight. Jet lagged and tired, we got there at the time they said the room would be ready - but unfortunately they were running behind. Instead of making us wait too long they ended up finding another solution and upgraded us to a bigger room. It was so nice to see that kind of hospitality. The concierge and bell folks are great as is their front desk personnel. Easy walking around the area, lots of pubs and food places. Pharmacy which is often important when you have young ones is just around the corner. Place is easy, clean, and reliable. Bar and restaurant downstairs also a welcome treat. We were quite happy and would be back!
Convenient and very clean
I had an amazing time at this hotel during the holiday season. The hotel staff were wonderful and accommodating when I arrived. I arrived too early to check in so they allowed for me to store my bags while I explored. The room was nice and cozy. The staff were exceptional in helping me when needed. The hotel was decorated very beautifully for the holiday season which made my stay very festive. Also, this hotel is in the perfect location to catch the tube, as the tube station is directly across the street from the hotel. Also, very convenient to different fast food places if you need a quick bite.
Room booked for three people but beds provided for two. Had to make a special request for a third bed for some reason
Lobby was lovley, staff was great. Location was fantastic. But i wouldn't stay there again. The room I was given was claustrophobically small with 2 deceptive windows that just looked onto a dark alley, and could hardly see the sky. The bed was oddly short (I'm not tall), and the pillows were truly awful (I ended up using a cushion instead). Mattress was fine and the shower was nice, but a small, windowless bathroom with a slow-draining sink. Felt like I was being punished, despite 3 nights costing more than my paycheck.
Great place to stay that has an extra cosy atmosphere.
The Baileys is Located central London, close to most places, specifically Tube Station cross from the Hotel, very convenient

Our best Kensington choice!
Excellent property in a great location about 50 meters from the Gloucester Rd Tube Station. Only a 10 minute walk to the museums in South Kensington. Nice king bed, modern bathroom, Nespresso machine in the room. Beautiful place!
Friendly, welcoming, professional staff . Comfy beds. Clean. Rooms equipped with everything required - appreciated the little fridge and the nespresso coffee maker and kettle. Great location across from the tube.
Amazing hotel great location across st from tube easy to get around
The decorations the Christmas tree and lights were very well done the staff were very helpful and friendly
Perfect for the Holidays
The check-in was quick and smooth. The foyer of the hotel is beautiful and the room was clean and updated.
Room details seemed intentionally deceptive
Room was similar temperature to the centre of an active volcano Please post photos of the room rather than photos of art on the wall on the room details. It will give potential customers an idea of size of the room prior to booking, the room was tiny so the decision not to post full room photos felt intentional to deceive customers
Perfect stay in very charming hotel in London
Really charming and stylish hotel, perfectly located, with access to so many key attractions, including Hyde Park for those that like to walk and run or just enjoy some greenery and fresh air. The hotel room was cozy (family room), maybe lacking a bit of storage, and the bathroom as well. It was a bit dark too, but overall really comfortable and perfect for our needs. The breakfast was probably the only point that does not live up to a 4* hotel... the quality and selection of products was not great, the service was mediocre, yet, still it was good, though room for improvement there. The check-in was perfect, the door-men are super helpful and friendly.
Staff was friendly and professional. A complimentary room upgrade was a pleasant surprise and the icing on the cake.
Of the many times we have stayed in London, this was one of our all time favorite hotels. Very clean, great, roomy accommodations. Lots of restaurants close by. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
The first hotel I have ever stayed in which had no info in our room about WiFi password, restaurant on property, neighborhood info. Staff wasn’t particularly helpful.
The Bailey is a Wonderful Hotel. Ideal Location in London. Staff was World Class, Sumina, was Very Professional. And set the expectation of the Hotel. She answered all our question without hesitation. She made our stay outstanding .
Room was much smaller and did not resemble the aesthetic that were displayed in photos of the room. Walls were quite dirty and bathroom sink smelled. Most staff were very helpful and kind. Breakfast food was not good.
Welcoming and responsive staff attentive to our needs. Delicious breakfast. Excellent location.
Excellent stay. Quiet room. Great service. Perfect location.
Lovely and right next to underground
All very good with one exception: gym only has one hand weight dumbbell at the low end instead of the usual two of each weight.
Amazing location. Friendly staff.
Excellent location, good value for money, very friendly staff, good breakfast and comfortable rooms. What's not to like? We will, definitely stay again.
Would definitely stay here again.
The customer service was outstanding, attention to detail, prompt and friendly. The bed was amazing, I did not want to leave. Breakfast is outstanding, great variety and something for everyone.Great location with restaurants near by, as well as grocery like Tesco and Waitrose. There is a Big Red Bus pick-up across from the hotel. I will be back soon !
Very spacious rooms and clean Staff are very kind and helpful This is my to go hotel every time I visit London
Great stay
Had a great stay at this hotel. Can’t be any closer to a metro stop. We took the tube everywhere Drinks at bar were great. Didnt use any other facilities.
Excellent staff and location
Love this hotel and surrounding area
Love the hotel and its location. Rooms are on the smaller side, but all of London is like this. Service outstanding. Actually extended my stay instead of moving hotels.
Great place to stay and right next to underground
Bailey’s in December!
Overall stay at Bailey’s was very lovely and cozy in nature. The hotel bar is beautiful and a great gathering place for friends, and the cocktails were fabulous! A few minor negatives were that the temperature in our room was quite warm no matter how we tried to control the thermostat and the bathtub side height and narrow nature was quite difficult to comfortably use. However, the heated towel rack, bed comfort, and other amenities far outweighed these minor items. Very pleasant staff and location to Gloucester station was absolute key for us! One added bonus for us after a day of touring the city was to come back to the lobby decorated for Christmas and looking absolutely stunning!
My second stay at The Bailey's Hotel and it was as good as last time. Excellent service!
Well presented comfortable hotel. Excellent food in the Bugis restaurant and great cocktails in the Bailey’s Bar. Rooms air conditioned and well equipped, heated towel rail a nice addition. My only negative is that the bar is under resourced, it popular and the staff work very hard but frequently absent making coffee and teas in the kitchen or sorting out afternoon teas which I thought could have been done by the restaurant staff.
Enjoyed our stay, especially the Christmas decorations in the lobby.
Very cosy

Nice hotel, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Close to the subway. Great location! There is coffee shops and bakery across the street and some good pubs.
