The staff are friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, clean, great location. Close to lots of restaurants. The only thing I didn’t like was the rooms are way too close to one another and you can hear the other people in their rooms.
Great place to stay if you’re looking for a one person room, not the cleanest but not horrible. I would stay again! Great area and close to the Vatican
sick receptionist
the receptionist was sick and made eveyone sick it was horrendous also you had construction at 8am whuch was horrible
How amazing it was to find Hotel B as my last minute Plan B! Had to leave my original go to place due to their renovation schedule. Quaint, Boutique, amazing staff who are so kind and helpful. Lovely rooftop, yummy breakfast. Any need or request was promptly attended to. I extended my stay many days. I love this neighborhood - highly recommended. And I look forward to returning to Hotel B. My new landing place when back in Rome. Thank you Terry, EG, Stephanie, Shawn, Em and everyone! Xo
Frequent visitor
I stay here often for the great location and great customer service. I appreciate they remember me and have my room ready early on occasion.
Reliable
Favorite spot because of location and service.
Let me start by saying, the staff is very accommodating. My first room was clean, but the furniture was very worn. Water marks, stained and the chair next to the elevator was so worn I would not recommend it for a donation. The shower, sheets, and towels were clean but the hotel’s decor and furniture needs to be thrown out, the hotel is in dire need of renovation. The staff is the only reason my stay in Rome was passable. The breakfast buffet was certainly a breath of fresh air and very enjoyable including the decor and presentation. The location is ideal visiting nearby shopping and sightseeing. I would like to be fair in my review but would not recommend The B Place its is current state. There is such a potential for a lovey hotel but immediate attention is required, fresh paint and decor would be a start.
Great Location, Doorman was Great with knowledge of everything we asked for.
Great location and about 20 mins from the Vatican City. It is also easily walkable to the Colosseum. Lovely little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff with awesome recommendations on how to tour Rome in 1 day.
I keep coming back because the location is great and the staff very professional
This was a lovely stay for our 4 day stay in Rome. Close to everything. Staff was amazing and very accommodating. Just one sheet provided for bedding. That would be my only complaint. Nice breakfast
Nice coming back to a place that remembers you and treats you well. Quality of service reliable.

Always a good experience and convenient
The hotel's front desk usually has no one around. we had to wait for a while until a gentleman named Terry showed up. Terry was usually nice to work with and since we were new to Italy, he was very helpful. I cannot say the same about another person who was usually there early in the mornings (forget his name). very moody guy, however I don't blame him. The general population in Italy was the same. Unless you speak Italian, they are pretty rude! The rooms were very tiny and the bathroom was not up to the mark. The drains were clogged from time to time, but Terry helped as much as he could. This hotel really needs a makeover!
Good service
I keep coming back
Reliable and comfortable…keeps me coming back
This is a pretty nice hotel with friendly staff for the price. Very close to the metro and a short walk to Vatican City.
Robert was very helpful !
I was very happy with the service, Robert at front desk was very attentive and helpful. The hotel offers transfers from and to the airport. I highly recommend it.
Yes, This hotel does not look like the photos. However, I like downton abbey aka old buildings and the green room was perfect! Love the details. This mishap is offset with a great customer service by Robert and the rest of the staff. Yes, The sheets are thin but there was a comforter in the closet. There was a small fridge in case you want some groceries, I truly enjoyed my stay here. the breakfast and view of an old church dome from the terrace was phenomenal. Its location is in the middle from the Vatican to the right and piazza del popolo to the left 15 min walk either way. Also it’s near by Starbucks. It’s safe for single travelers, this hotel is in a semi residential area where banks and embassies surround the hotel.
People is friendly such a special treatment with everybody love this hotel
This property and Expedia are deceitful! NOTHING shown on the booking site matches anything from this hotel. It may have looked like that some years ago but the property no longer has the same furnishings, drapes or even the colors. Everything is run down, pillows are flat, sheets are paper thin, bathrooms are simply tiny is impossible for wven one person to be in there. The walls are paper thin, you can hear people in oadjacent rooms snoring and going to the toilet. The beds are harder than the floor. Overall the worse experience I have ever had in a hotel.
Always a good place to stop...
Always a great place to stay whether it's a short stop or a longer stay in Rome.
Comfort and Convenience
Happy to come back to this place and enjoy the comfort and convenience
My thoughts: No soap bar (had to use the shower body wash to wash hands. Thin duvet with the consistency of tissue paper. Not like the photos at all to the point that I wonder if those were just pulled off Google. Based on the other reviews, others think the same so I’d be curious anyone stayed in a room that looked like the photos. I understand there are different types of rooms, but the property should post all types of the rooms so you might expect a variety as opposed to expecting an upscale boutique look and then getting what appears to be a dorm room. Even the breakfast set up is not what was pictured. Could hear our neighbours toilet flush very audibly against the wall and heard them dying their hair in the bathroom and moving objects around on the counter. Could also hear laughter and conversations and nose blowing..? We were only staying for one night, but if we had booked more, I would have likely disputed the charge and found somewhere else to stay. It’s not an inexpensive hotel. If we paid $150/night I’d let it slide, but to have this room and pay nearly $300/CAD a night is unacceptable. The wifi in room 4 doesn’t connect, not sure if it’s because it’s at the end of the hall but that was frustrating for travellers from out of the country who depend on wifi. This hotel has a 4 star rating which is suspiciously high for all the reasons I listed. Do some research before you book this hotel.
Great Service
A great location with all the service you need. So great that they hold your luggage pre and post check in.
Simply put this is a terrible hotel. NONE of the rooms look like the pictures at all. Instead of being a 3 star hotel this is more like what you would have found in terms of a oension back in the 80's with outdated conditions. Walls are thin so you hear people uaing the toilet in the next room, or snoring. Sheets are paper thin, mattresses are hard as the floor, the pillows are flat and old. It was an extremely uncomfortable 7night stay for us.
A good value for money
The staff was amazing. We loved the room and how classic it felt.
Disappointing hotel, not 3 star
We were very disappointed by this hotel. Our room looked nothing like the pictures advertised and was in very very bad condition. Not a 3 star hotel. I asked to move rooms however the other room they offered still didn’t look like the pictures. The AC didn’t work, which wasn’t a huge problem for us but I wouldn’t risk it in the summer. The walls had marks all over them and the finish in the room was very disappointing. It was not a hugely clean room. The furniture in general was very cheap and uncomfortable- Pillowcases too big, the mattress too small for the bed, double room but only one lamp at the side of the bed. Breakfast was basic and the roof terrace was very pleasant but again didn’t look like the pictures. I suspect some staging furniture had been brought in.
Friendly staff and highly recommended.
See above
The property was clean however room was not as appeared on the photos. Location is ok. Air con worked great just what we needed. Probably wouldn’t stay again but it was ok.
Alot of repairs needed to room. Changed room 1 time. Staff was great.
Not what i was expecting and nothing like the pictures
Rome stay near Vatican
We enjoyed our stay at the B place . It is very close to metro station and many nice cafes, restaurants and shops in walking distance. Nice breakfast provided in a rooftop setting. Rooms a bit sparse but clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again if in Rome
The B Place was exactly the hotel we needed for our trip to Rome. We had a big itinerary for our trip and were only going to be there to sleep for the most part. The room itself wasn’t mind blowing, but it was clean and had everything you needed. The vaulted ceilings were a nice touch and made the room seem larger than it was. We showed up two hours early but Terry the concierge was super accommodating. He held onto our luggage as we went to lunch while they prepared our room. We booked this hotel based off location and it was perfect. The Vatican was a 10 minute walk, Pantheon was 15 minutes away as well. It’s the perfect location for active travelers. The breakfast was included in our stay, and it was honestly really damn good. Nothing fancy, but everything you’d need to start the day. The only negatives were that our shower seemed to clog easily, and that when we did need a taxi, the local taxi app FREENOW often struggled to find a taxi near that location. However the taxi issue really isn’t the hotel’s fault.
Nice location and rooftop terrace
Great hotel convenient location for exploring Rome on foot. Staff was awesome. Arranged transportation to and from the airport.
Shout out to Ronnie and Bob for the excellent service. The internet was tricky when you are in the garden area but overall it was a great place.
Perfect place to see Rome
Wonderful place to stay. It is perfect for location and sighting. We highly recommend this place.
Phenomenal place!!
Phenomenon place. Perfect location for all the sights. Already recommended to others.
The room itself looked very different from the pictures on Expedia. Location was ok, easy walk to Vatican and Piazza Navona, close to metro. But the condition of the hotel and the beyond basic room was not at all how it looked online. Staff was friendly.
A cute hotel. Very small but clean and quiet. Staff was great.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at B Place -- it's in a great area close to the Vatican, but away from the really busy tourist areas. The fact that it's a minute from the Metro and 5 minutes from a major bus route makes it super easy to reach the historic centre and the Trastevere neighbourhood as well. Breakfast was perfect -- a selection of pastries, yogourt, toast, and American faves like scrambled eggs and bacon, with a lovely view over the rooftops. My room was small, but did the trick -- it did need some paint touch-ups here and there, but the fact that the air conditioning worked and the water stayed hot was all I needed! Definitely recommended.
Place it conveniently located close to a metro station. Quiet street. Room have good size for european standards. Clean. Thin walls could hear neighbors noise and shower. Bathroom requires a coat of paint and maintenance.
Staff was Amazing ! Very friendly and helped us Move a round the City
Paid a little bit more for this room on a budget friendly vacation. The included breakfast did help. And the location is great. Would highly recommend Pratti as a safe and quiet residential area with in walking distance to loads of attractions. Hotel room was ok. Hotel definitely needs to upgrade mattress’ . Was not expecting luxury, but at minimum people need to get a decent sleep when travelling.
I loved the location, it was so quiet compared to the rest of the city yet it was only a 2 minute walk around the corner to the metro and 2 stops until Spanish steps so it was super convenient! We weren’t planning on using the hotel for breakfast but was thinking pleasantly surprised by the options and the outside rooftop area for breakfast! The staff were super friendly, letting us check in early and leave our bags there for the day when checking out! Our bedroom had a balcony and was so nice, the only thing I can say wasn’t great was the fact the TV had no English channels and the bed was a little hard/springy but our everything else made up for it!
Staff are very nice!
Convenient location, safe area, nice rooftop. Staff was courteous and accommodating.
My visit to Rome!
The hotel was clean. I love the staff they are friendly and help you to know where you can go. The hotel is close to everything, I walk around to churches, Vatican, for eating and shopping :).
Lovely hotel in the middle of Rome!
The B Place Hotel was a lovely, budget-friendly place. The location was 10/10 - so close to everything. The metro is just around the corner, however, we ended up walking everywhere as we were literally "just around the corner" from most visitor attractions. The local area was great for restaurants too, your staff recommended some lovely places and we had SO MUCH good food. We stayed in a lovely room on on the second floor. Breakfast was lovely too, we aren’t big "breakfast eaters", but you had everything from pastries to hot foods, so we managed to find something light to start our day. Lastly, we would like to send a thank you to your lovely staff - they were so helpful and kind!
Friendly staff
Room was dark and noisy with air conditioning units directly outside the windows. Hotel staff friendly and informative.
The place is very nice and the staff are very accommodating. We enjoy our stay.
Quick check in. Very friendly service!
My stay was great thanks to the wonderful staff. The hotel is very beautiful and I recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Rome.
The staff and service are amazing, I rarely mention the service in my past trips, but this hotel has the best service I have ever experienced even better than most some of the fancy hotels. They are just friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good too. The room can be sometime noisy but within acceptable levels.
Very nice reasonable Rome hotel
The hotel was very quiet and comfortable. the staff was very friendly. Location is excellent, and there is a very nice roof garden restaurant for breakfast.
A quiet and cute hotel. The breakfast was delicious and the view from the roof terrace is amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Very pleasant Rome visit
Very nice comfortable friendly mid-level hotel. Great staff, clean and cozy. Nice roof garden for breakfast. And convenient to the Metro, and the Vatican area.
The property is in a quiet area, 2 minutes walk to a subway station, it is a newly renovated property, has all basic and simple amenities, exactly what it is advertised for, recommended.
Would have liked more space to put things. Especially the bathroom. No lace to hang or place personal items
Would recommend this place
Nice place. Good breakfast spread, location and amenities. I would book it again.
Отличная гостиница за свои деньги
Отличная гостиница за свои деньги. В шаговой доступности до всех основных достопримечательностей. Добавляет впечатлений завтрак на открытой веранде. Однозначно , рекомендую
Ok
Welcome and nice place to stay.We liked your staff, always welcome.
Great location!!!! A lot of restaurants and coffees nearby. Elevator really small. Size of room ok but nowhere to put your toiletries. You can hear street noises and next room guests easily. Staff really friendly
This property was okay
Good location, nice hotel
Nice rooms, comfy beds, close to the Metro, good air con, breakfast included, excellent roof top terrass!
Perfect quiet location in Roma
Great location one block from the metro, easy to get around all of the sights in Roma, very helpful staff, and good shopping and gelato shops nearby. This place is a winner, and very affordable.
Nice boutique guest house
Nice boutique guest house in this residential neighborhood to stay like a local. Love this area of Rome, away from the craziness of living in the centro yet only minutes from it by red line metro as this is only a minute from Lepanto red line and tones of busses. So it is quite accessible and also walking distance to the Vatican. Room & bathroom were a little small but I'm in a single occupancy room. Breakfast was excellent and staff was very friendly.
Great and friendly staff !!! Big rooms great location amazing breakfast Great rooftop
The staff was very friendly and helpful with our inquiries
Great location. 15 minutes walk to the Vatican Museums, 2 minutes walk from the Metro station and a quick ride to the Colosseum, Forum, etc. 15 min. walk from Trevi fountain. Great rooftop spot for breakfast. Great capuchino and good breakfast, though a bit slow service. Overall great place for the price.
Delivered everything they promised. The room was clean. Very close to all attractions, shops, restaurants. The staff was friendly and answered any questions we had to ask. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a place to stay close to Vatican museums, St. Peter basilica. Actually, we walked everywhere so conveniently it was located. And one more very important detail we noticed it was absolutely quiet at night.
2 of us stayed at this hotel last week during our 4 day visit to Rome. First thing to note was the lovely welcome we received on check-in. The reception staff were very informative and a map of the city was handed to us to acclimatise us to the landmarks in the area. The hotel itself is presented in a 'boutique' style, and we found the aesthetic to be very unqiue and pleasant. Our room itself had a very large and comfortable bed, the shower had great pressure and toiletries were provided. The only downside was that the hotel was advertised as soundproofed, and unfortunately it isn't in the strictest sense - some louder sounds do travel, especially if you have particularly loud neighbours. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the Vatican and we found ourselves walking to that every single day. The River Tiber is also a 10 minute walk away, with the metro station being right around the corner from the hotel. We found the continental breakfast on offer to be very fulfilling, we enjoyed breakfast every day that we were there. They had a varied range of breads, patries, fruits, cereals, yoghurts and beverages - just what you expect from a continental breakfast. We didn't get to sample the bar during our stay, but both breakfast and the bar area are on the roof terrace, from which the views are spectacular. Overall, the stay was great, we would definitely stay here again and have recommended to others who are looking to visit Rome.
We had an all round good stay. Staff were great with us.
I love the decor and cleanliness of this property. The roof top deck is nice also.
We stayed in the annexe. It was comfortable, peaceful and private. Couldn't have been better situated, within walking distance of all the sights, shopping and so many cafes and restaurants
Close to the vatican not that many Restaurat in the area
The room was not inside the hotel , it was two blocks away.
The staff was amazing, and able to help you at the tine you need it.
Habitación espaciosa y cómoda. El concepto de habitaciones en otro edificio (como en mi caso), donde no hay staff de seguridad, es complejo. Hubo ruido de otros pasajeros durante la estadia
he B place hotel is conveniently located walking distance from the Vatican. Lovely neighborhood. The morning receptionist on March 31 was very welcoming upon arriving at the hotel. The room was clean and cozy. As your website states, “All this makes your vacation in Rome unforgettable because we treat you in the slightest detail to your every wish with our” However, that was not the case at all because your website also states that, “A conciergerie service attentive to every need” and this was far from the truth. I had a very bad experience with your personnel. As a matter or fact I have never experienced an aggressive behavior in any of my travels. The most horrible and unpleasant and experience I had have in a hotel. I asked the night shift clerk (Thierry) on April 1 for a recommendation to a restaurant in the neighborhood and he immediately raised his voice in a very rude tone as if there were no restaurants open for dinner because Italians eat late. He pretended to be a lecturer in culture and dinning. In turn he told me in a demeaning tone that I should go to a fast food place to eat. He never provided any advise or recommendation and he continue talking in a very unwelcoming way that I had to walk of way from the reception area. I left the hotel in a very displeased manner.
B place
Nice hotel, very friendly staff, decor a little tired, quite noisy a little road noise rooms not well soundproofed. Not a bad breakfast. Good value hotel a little off beaten track but very close to metro.
Nice little hotel with super friendly staff. Continental breakfast was good. Bathroom was quite small but fine for a short stay! Would recommend to others.
We were in the annexe, which is a couple of streets away from the hotel, which is not made clear in the advertising and neither is the fact that if you are in the annexe, then you cannot have breakfast in the hotel! The annexe is in fact on the third floor of an apartment building, with access off the road and a trip in a lift to the third floor. The rooms were spacious and clean, but a little tired in places - the wallpaper was stapled on in one place and one of the drawers fell apart when opened. The area is however lovely and pretty quiet and there is a fabulous coffee/croissant shop close by for a speedy breakfast.
First time in Italy, recomend this 👍
Fantastic, breakfast was great! Loved the italian style breakfast! Rooms were nice and cozy! Excellent customer service 👌 And great local places to eat, just a walk away!
Amazing stay
Lovely staff, perfect location, nice quiet neighbourhood with plenty of places to eat. Breakfast buffet was great and rooms were really clean - great value for money.
Lovely hotel with a good location.
This hotel was booked for a city break to Rome and was in perfect proximity to view the main tourist points. Overall the hotel was lovely although it could do with a lick of paint here and there. The room were cleaned everyday to a high standard. The staff we’re lovely and helpful with any queries we may have. Breakfast was minimal with little variety. However, there were a lovely selection of juices in the morning. One problem with this hotel is that the walls are very thin. We were woken up all but one night of our stay by other guests. Also the cleaners started hoovering approx 8:30 every morning meaning that you couldn’t stay in bed any later than this due to the noise. Overall the hotel was nice and served its purpose. However, I would not recommend for those who like to sleep later in the morning.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Particularly Nino who worked on the bar, he was very friendly and chatty every night when we had drinks at the bar. All the staff went out of their way to help. They even ordered in gluten free options for my breakfast when I asked if they had anything available. The rooms are lovely, very clean and comfortable. Would absolutely recommend the B Place Hotel. Great location, very short walk to Vatican City and to the other main tourist hot spot. Metro station just around the corner, if you don’t fancy the walk.
Great location for seeing most of Rome on foot.
Quiet, comfortable, friendly & helpful staff. 10 min walk to Vatican & River Tiber. Large buffet breakfast on rooftop. Instant hot water. Room not large but comfortable & well presented.
Regular Hotel
Is in a good location, perfect for couples or young persons. Is not accessible at all for senior persons or that need accessibility, like my mother in a Wheelchair. They lied to us on this, we had to do magic for my mother. We were located in another building like 2 blocks from the front desk, so we had to walk every day for breakfast (it didn't say anything about this when we did the reservation), some of the staff is not very efficient or kind.
Great stay. Nice location and delicious breakfast.
Wonderful hotel in a great location. Walking distance to all sites in Rome. Room was clean and breakfast was delicious.
Excellent location 10mis walk to Vatican
The B place hotel is close to Vatican and only 2mins walk from lepanto metro station which is three stop away from city centre. There are plenty of nice restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel and very convenient for tourists. Room is in good condition but it let down by its mirrors and they are pretty much unusable.
Room was great just needed a fridge really.
The hotel was in a good place for us, was able to walk all around Rome. The staff were really friendly and let us keep our bags in the hotel as we had a late flight.

Consistently pleasant
I can always count on pleasant stay here
