Easy access to metro station, restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet and excellent staff service.

I really enjoyed this hotel. It came withba very simple breakfast, room was basic, but had a very nice fresh scent to it, but was very clean. It was old fashioned but i actually really liked its charm. For the price i paid it was an excellent choice. Safe, walkable to el centro and eas very reasonable in price. I would stay here again.

Location of this hostel is perfect. Walkable to all attractions. Metro is around the corner. Train station is only 3 metro stops away. A lot of restaurants around... supermarkets are nearby too. Room is small. Shower cubicle is very small. If you spend outside most of the rime then you would not mind the size of the room. Staffs are excellent. Very nice and helpful. They are willing to help at any requests. Gracias to all the staffs.

Staff was very kind. Gave us a map with attractions and recommendations nearby. Had someone at the front desk 24 hours. Was very clean and we felt safe.

This place will grow on you, no elevator but the staff are kind and always willing to help. Close and walkable to attractions.

Great stay

Nice comfortable stay, room was clean and recently renovated. Having air conditioning is a plus depending out season. Front desk people were really nice and helpful. Location was it's few minutes from subway and also a lot of dining/shopping options in walking distance.

Convenient high end hostel

The hostel was situated at a small alley and very convenient to walk to metro or any places of interest. They don’t have elevator which you need to carry your luggage yourself. During check in Maria is very helpful and she offer to carry one of our luggage for us where we lived on the 2nd floor. They even offered cleaning services daily which is a plus to us.

Staff was wonderful, however the room was extremely small, hot water didn't last long enough to complete my shower, and it was noisy from outside.

Friendly and welcoming

Upon our arrival we received a friendly welcome and were able to leave our bags as we were a couple hours earlier than check in. All staff working the front desk were very friendly and attentive making us always feel welcome. We stayed in the room with the terrace and enjoyed the extra space throughout our stay (just make sure you can climb stairs!). Very clean, great location, would recommend.

Me and my 11 year old son had a fantastic stay here , the location is really good everything is close by , the staff at the reception is so sweet amazing people, I even extended my stay for an extra night they helped me out right away gave me a different room and also write me a cute welcome note , I would definitely stay here again !

Great location and friendly 24hr reception

Had a great stay. Super comfortable bed, quiet, and well located. The woman at the front desk was so sweet and accommodating as well.

Cleanliness and very good use of space for a small room made our stay comfortable. Something that we were not expecting was the place not to have an elevator, hence, going up with our luggage was a workout to say the least. However, our very kind hostess offered to help us with our luggage so collectively, we worked out together. Our overall experience was very good.

This is in an excellent location about 3 mins walk from Metro. Situation on a quietish laneway that still has a nice flow of people through it to give you the big city feel. It's a small pensione type hotel (no lift for those who need on) with only half a dozen rooms each floor, meaning there isn't a lot of internal noise. Reception was always super friendly and very helpful. Rooms are smallish but still of a good size, the bed is firm and comfy, and while there is limited hanging/storage it was definitely enough for one person or two with not too much luggage. The bathroom was of ample size and well set up with good water pressure. A small juliet balcony give you a nice outlook onto the street with double closing doors to help keep the room really quiet from outside noise. On the downside but not unusual for smaller hotels in Spain, there is no safe or fridge and only spanish TV but extras are avaialble (for free) on request - eg kettle, small desk for room, iron etc It seems good value for money compared to Barcelona and Valenica. Would definitely stay again.

Small, cute and very clean hotel. The receptionists are very nice, friendly and helpful with everything. The receptionists brought anything that’s missing in the room immediately when asked. No elevator because its an old building but the staff helps with everything. We really liked this hotel and definitely recommend it.

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is amazing and the location is very good. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. When I come back to Madrid, I will stay here.

Staff were fantastic and really friendly, offered alot of info about the city and things to do. My room was at the top which did have alot of steps but very worth it, the terrace was amazing. Felt really comfortable staying there as a solo female and would really recommend. Location is great, was able to walk to all areas of the city

Nice hotel, well maintained

Great location , we feel very comfortable they . The staff is great.

Considering staff friendliness standards, I would use this place as the model. Here they use almost forgotten way of turning keys to desk when leaving and 24/7 attendant on duty. And there is no waiting or not being greeted. They simply the best. Everything in the room is small which may be issue for some but not in our case. Everything is clean and functioning. Extremely convenient location close to everything. One thing to mention - it stairs, no elevator. Not at all bothered us but may be considered. As for us, will definitely come back upon next visit.

Good location

Really enjoyed my stay here! The staff were all lovely and outlined a walking tour for my first visit to Madrid. Hotel is close to the metro, and still easy to walk to the attractions

Little gem

Friendly and helpful reception, printed our bus tickets for free, and always courteous. Hair dryer and kettle upon request with no charge. Delightful deco, the only thing I could pick, is there is no lift. Great value for budget travellers, recommended.

Simple friendly place

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff is friendly, and the location is ideal. We had good air conditioning and water pressure in a clean and modern room. We liked staying on the top floor because of the view, but just be aware that there is no elevator if you have trouble with stairs.

Friendly and helpful staff.

There is no elevator so be aware that you are carrying your luggage up steep stairs. Otherwise loved the location and the quaintness of the room we had. Could have used a microwave oven. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

A very quaint and small hotel in the city center. Front desk receptionists were so helpful and friendly. Spoke English well. A small and clean room. Just be sure to read the details the hotel gives e.i. the rooms are small, stairs to get to the room, no fridge, no frills. We did not anticipate having extra frills so the stay was comfortable. The front desk lady carried my bag up the stairs when we arrived. She was SO great!

The hostel is located at center of old town with waking distance to restaurants/bars and the most attractions. The room we stayed was small with bath room. There is no elevator. The staffs were very friend and helpful. Overall, this is a simple and low costs hotel.

The private patio was great. The neighboorhood is a hostel party zone and was quite loud into the early hours.

The property/ room /staff were great also the surrounding area is easy to walk to everything plus the metro.

Staff were very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. Provided great recommendations for limited time in Madrid. Rooms are good for short stays.

Wonderful staff

The room was quite clean, and the service was great! The ladies working there were so kind, helpful and accommodating! They are on the premises 24 hrs a day. Note: many stairs and coffee maker but no coffee in the room, so bring your own coffee.

Affordable, comfortable, and convenient

Although this property is billed as a hostel, it isn’t. You have your own room and bath, at least we did. The front desk is staffed 24/7 which is very comforting. Maria and her colleagues were super-friendly and helpful. The area is ideal in that you can walk to almost anything you’ll want to see. The room is on the smallish side but the beds are comfortable. There was a bit of noise one night, a commotion around 3AM, but it didn’t last long. The TV offerings were all in Spanish, which didn’t bother me so much and luckily mi esposo had lots of YouTubes and podcasts at the ready.

Pleasantly surprised! Have never stayed at a hostel but decided to try this one for a night stay. The room was inmaculate and comfortable; hostel was in a good location and front desk personnel were friendly.

You can hear the noise in the hallway and from the street. The front door is secure and only opened by the administration. Our room was like a hotel room. Do not Pat attention to the “hostel” title. They do provide hair dryer and iron and iron board per request.

Amazing

We loved our stay here, the staff (especially Maria who we had the most contact with) were really great and very friendly. The room was very comfortable able the terrace was lovely. Perfect for seeing a lot of the city centre and it’s just a 10min walk from puerta del sol

The staff was awesome and very accommodating. Great location near by everything, walking distance and near metro . Only thing I was say is if you have trouble going up stairs this is not the place for you . Very clean and we felt safe !

Th room was clean,and comfortable, the lady in the front desk super nice and she assit me with my luggage, and with the información aboit the city and taxis,extremely happy with her,the obly ossu ,please put in the page about is in the 3 rh floos with no elevator,i have reduce mobility and she asist me with the luggage, but i prefer always with elevator

Good location, clean property. Very noisy at night, no elevator (staff brought our luggage upstairs/thank you!!!), no door in the shower, no closet, very bsic accommodation.

Very loud neighborhood, our one interaction with staff was unpleasant and they were kind of rude. Room and bathroom were clean though.

Perfect solo traveller hotel

Perfect hotel for a solo traveller looking to stay in central Madrid. Super friendly and helpful staff, clean room, and room with a view of beautiful La Latina. Definitely great value for money.

Excellent hotel

The staff are absolutely lovely and very professional. They were extremely helpful with arranging us transport to the airport, and even helped us out when we found out our flight home was cancelled - luckily we were able to stay another night and the staff were very helpful with letting us use their facilities even though we had checked out.

Couple of blocks away from a main bus and train station. Express bus from MAD was $5!!

Awesome stay at THC Tirso de Molina

Our Stay at THC Tirso de Molina was fantastic! The location is amazing, right in the heart of downtown Madrid. You can walk to Sol, plaza mayor and many other locations. Subway and Renfe 5 minutes away. The staff was super friendly, they carried our bags to our rooms so the lack of elevator is definitely not a problem. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms with balcony and Terrance. I highly recommend anyone to stay at this hotel, Location, Friendly and comfort.

Hôtel bien placé dans une rue plutôt calme. Service accueil 24h/24, personnel très serviable. La climatisation dans notre chambre était un peu bruyante mais en dehors de ça tout s’est bien passé. Très bon rapport qualité / prix.

An excellent choice of a hotel to stay <5 mins away from Tirso Molina Square, shops (Lidl, Carrefour), bakery, coffee shops, etc. A very nice pizza place nearby. Very clean, excellent service and friendly staff. Rooms are small and Friday/Saturday nights are noisy even off-season - but this is what you expect when staying in busy Madrid old town. Great vibe. Highly recommended if 5-star hotel comfort is not the goal.

Excellent location! Close distance to manny plazas and eating areas. 5 buildings down from a bakery, yummy treat every morning. Rooms were small, but manageable for a bustling city. Staff was so accommodating and friendly, would recommend.

A mix of business and pleasure trip. Good location not far from a metro station. Great little neighborhood. It can be a bit loud at night but what not expect when In the center is Madrid. Very clean. Shower was excellent and bed was comfortable.

It’s been a pleasure staying in this wonderful place, near to the metro and centro of Madrid. Very Clean and stuff was nice. The only thing is they don’t have an elevator after whole day of walking....it’s just tough to climb to 4th floor. Overall this hotel is great!!!

Access to the rooms is difficult if you have heavy luggage. There is no lift so you have to carry your bags up narrow windy stairs. Otherwise the top floor suite is nice. Staff are helpful and the room was perfectly clean.

Staffs was very helpful especially the older guy. He stood by us while we were waiting for the taxi early 4:30 am in the morning for our safety. 👍👍👍

Room is very, very small. The building has no elevators that you need to carry your luggages up several floors.

There is not an elevator, very uncomfortable bed and very noisy street, we didn’t sleep at all for the two nights that we were there.

There is an issue with this hotel: there is no lift. I happened to travel with a large suitcase and had to carry it to the 4th floor. Otherwise, the room was OK. But I consider that relative to price not having the lift is a problem.

This is a cute property, very small, and in a very busy area. Not much for amenities, but it's more of a hostel than hotel so that is to be expected. The staff are incredible, I cannot say enough about how helpful they were with anything from calling a cab to giving insider tips on where to enjoy great food/drink.
