Quick stay for work but great location and great staff
Nice place in central London
The staff are very friendly, location great. Enjoyed a wonderful stay and will come back again. The only issue is the rooms are tired and could do with a refresh. The bed mattress could be more comfortable.
Payment
Overall we had a comfortable 2 nights and slept very well. The staff were friendly. Location was very good being very central. However, after check out and arriving home I found that they had not removed a pending amount of £325.00 and have since needed to contact my back to remove it. They also took an additional £26 from my bank which was a service charge. On leaving I had requested not to pay this charge and they agreed not to take it. I have been promised that this will be repaid, but as yet this has not happened. To summarise, a nice place to stay, but advisable to check your bill and bank to be sure payment is correct. Make sure you have not been charged any extra payments that you have requested not to pay. I have not ever given any establishment a poor review before but what was an enjoyable couple of days was marred by the stress of trying to sort out the disorganisation regarding payment etc.
Good Location for Central London
Great location for our City break stay Good Breakfast choices available Friendly attentive Staff.
We loved this hotel and would stay there again. The bed was so comfortable. It was clean and airy, and had plenty of room for our luggage and for us to sit and enjoy a drink. Our only complaint was the hot water level, it was medium-warm at best.
Lovely entrance hall spoilt by spell of cigar / cigarette smoke. Room needed some refurbishment.
Beautiful little hotel! Amazing location. Wonderful staff.
We enjoyed the property. We stayed on the third floor. The room was clean, spacious (especially by European standards) and the staff was always polite, professional and helpful.
Going backwards
I have used this hotel a lot in the past and has been very good but the rumour had on this occasion was not very good, the bed and the mattress were very small and very uncomfortable, the breakfast has now become a bit of a con also . I did say something to the girl on reception, but she looked at me as though I was speaking Japanese, I think I will get this hotel a break for a few years.
Ten Manchester St never disappoints - it is our go-to hotel whenever we’re in London. The staff are warm and friendly, and the location absolutely cannot be beat.
Excellent location, really nice place.
Area was very good. Staff friendly. Room very small and needs updating
Always great to return for another stay here.
The property seems tired in parts and my room had a funny smell. The staff were attentive and helpful but the bar and restaurant prices were expensive so I ate all meals locally. Even the tea and coffee was excessive. My room didn’t feel the level of superior luxury I am used to in this price range
The property is well kept and very clean. The staff are extremely polite and eager to please. The property is about 15 minutes walk to the Baker Street underground. There are numerous restaurants and pubs along the route to the underground. The full English breakfast is substantial and well-prepared. My only complaint about the property is that the mattress was too soft (for me). More than that, the mattress seems to have been of poor quality, so that for someone my size (100 kg), the springs could be felt. The hotel tried to resolve this problem by supplying extra padding on top, but it gave minimal relief.
4th stay here. Excellent and professional staff 24 hours a day. Great choice every time.
Rude staff. Worn furniture. They try to charge a ‘service fee’ upon checkout which is deducted off your £100 deposit (which you have no option to put on hold, despite not having any intention of making use of the minibar). No idea what the service charge relates to. The ‘service’ by no means justifies an additional fee and the hotel cost per night covers what one would expect as service. Unless you check your deposit charge refund you will be charged this service fee. I was told that I was not present at checkout, however I had checked out at 9am and left my luggage for later collection. Stayed here twice before but this is the last time. Having stayed at 5 other hotels in the vicinity, I’ve found there are much better places than this.
It looked like we were in a disabled room. Bathroom had seat and rail.
Loved it! Great value for the amazing location. Some of the best shopping and restaurants just steps away. Would recommend.
Reserved two rooms with breakfast included. The hotel totaly denied this and did not let me have breakfast. In the hotels.com booking its clearly stated breakfast included.
I thought the the team was pleasant and the hotel itself was clean. The area is quiet, walkable and close to restaurants and transportation. I was put off by the “gratuity/accommodation” fee added on the bill at the end of my stay with no transparency. It wasn’t a small amount either! Firstly, This extra fee shouldn’t exist bc the service of their staff is part of being a hotel. Second, if it’s a gratuity, the guest should have the option to leave an amount at his/her discretion. I’ve asked the hotel to reimburse me. Moving forward, I’d love to see this cost removed.
Nice location, good breakfast, helpful staff!
Lovely staff and great area
Great location but eat elsewhere
super location, compact room but very expensive room service
Lovely. Graat neighborhood
Quiet central hotel
Excellent attentive staff and lovely and quiet location. The room could do with a little updating. All in all very nice.
Loved our stay but do note that a “king” bed in the UK is much smaller than a king bed in the US! Unfortunately I haven’t found anywhere in the UK that offers an American sized king bed
The only negative was that the room was not available at 3pm and we had to wait a short while to use it . Other than that excellent and we would definitely use again👍.
We wanted somewhere within walking distance of Hyde Park for British Summer Time. Ten Manchester Street met the brief and was reasonably priced for central London. It was an easy flat walk from Baker Street tube station and the hotel is in a pleasant area, near Marylebone High Street. Lots of places to eat and drink, plus some independent shops. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Our room was on the fourth floor (although only two flights of stairs up) - there is a small lift. Number 403 has a big bed, good ensuite shower and everything we needed for an overnight stay. We slept well, with no noise from inside or outside. Our rate included a good choice for breakfast, although don’t expect an unlimited buffet. This is all cooked fresh to order. The only negative was the extra charge added to the bill when we left and the cost of the coffee we had in the bar. It is London though!
Soured by surcharge on exit
Lovely hotel. Astonished to receive an additional service charge to fund their cleaning staff upon departure. Surely that’s part of the hotel purpose??
This property was ok very expensive for what you got Don't agreed with them adding service charge you've already paid that in the cost of the bookings seems there's a charge for everything
The areas was ok
Great hotel
Very clean and smart hotel. Room had everything we needed and was a good size. Nice bathroom with luxury toiletries. Bed and pillows a tad soft for my taste. Service was impeccable. Breakfast was tasty.
I last stayed here 10 years ago, and had great memories of the space and staff. It's still a great location, and the staff were fine but the hotel is feeling a little rundown now (same carpets and now with some stains; drains and bathroom are old, shower door wasn't working as intended). It was a comfy bed still :)
Excellent city hotel in a good position
I love this hotel. It is small & quiet with wonderful service. The area around it is my favorite place in London.
Very private…all areas are individual and very subtle Tola checked me in…excellent
Wonderful area of London .Property neat and clean staff friendly and courteous.
Lovely hotel would stay again
Really nice hotel with a friendly boutique feel
This is a really nice hotel with a friendly boutique feel to it. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. We had a courtyard room which was nice. It was a little bit on the small side but this was made up for my having an outdoor courtyard area to sit in. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and functional with a shower rather than a bath. It was my birthday when we were there and they had decorated the room and left a cake, along with a lovely, hand written, birthday card in the room for when we arrived. This was a really nice touch and was much appreciated. By only gripe was that they charge a £13.80 service charge at checkout. While this is not a lot of money, I really object to being asked to pay unexpected costs. When I book a hotel I expect to pay the advertised price.
Good value for money. There was a surprise service charge that we had to pay. However, the hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. The breakfast was good. We would definitely stay again, the location is very good.
Lovely clean hotel, room was bijou but adequate for our two night trip. Freshened up went we went out for the day. Super convenient for central London. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice.
I had a great experience at 10 Manchester St. Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but perfect for my needs, clean and updated. I would stay here again!
Very nice hotel well worth a visit and exceptional value for London
Great hotel! Big rooms
Very nice experience. Rooms are not large but serve the purpose…
It was excellent. I was just too tired to be able to enjoy all it had to offer.
Not veggie or vegan friendly and hidden charges
Hotel was really nice and clean. Only a couple of big bears 1. Being informed there was a 4% surcharge added to the room for service. We stayed one night and didn’t have any extra service. Just put the price up by 4% and pay your team properly. We shouldn’t be made to feel guilty for not tipping when we’ve not had any real contact with staff. 2. At breakfast, we asked if there was a vegetarian English breakfast. They said there wasn’t but we could have more tomato. This is the first hotel I’ve seen in decades that doesn’t offer a vegetarian cooked breakfast. We also asked for dairy free spread but were told that they didn’t have this. So anyone vegan or with a dairy allergy (like my daughter) wouldn’t be able to eat here. The staff seemed confused that we were even asking for it and said they need to be told in advance. All in all we had a lovely stay but those things did bug me. We would stay again but I’d probably breakfast elsewhere.
Friendly staff, clean, comfortable and quiet - would definitely stay again. Only dusappointment was the "discretionary service charge". I wasnt going to get into an argument about that as i really apprecaied early check in and upgrade, but it is not what you expect and i dont see what service i received that would not be included in the room rate.
I had a deluxe double room - and would have expected a bath and a shower instead of just a bath. When I checked out, I was asked if I wanted to give £11 “to our wonderful housekeeping staff”. When I questioned this, I was told I had agreed to this when I signed my registration form. In had - but very few people read everything on their registration form I don’t understand why the hotel can’t simply add £11 to the price in the first place. Taking an extra £11 seems a little underhand,
Fabulous small hotel in a quiet side street close to Marleyborne high street. Wonderful breakfast
Good location. Friendly staff.
Wonderful boutique hotel
The room was small but very well appointed. Bathroom was modern. Each staff member was extremely accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and very worth including g upfront.
Dreadful experience. Staff and hotel not customer focused and poor attitude. Very over priced.
Great!
Great stay as usual! Clean room, love the 10 restaurant and the cigar lounge
Great hotel, very homey
Clean, nice bar, GREAT staff, rooms ok
Shopping trip
Very convenient for shopping and nightlife
I enjoyed my stay. There were some hiccups but the staff was very kind. And I really enjoyed the location.
Very comfortable and convenient
Very comfortable hotel all together, well located in a lovely area a few minutes’ walk from shops & restaurants and close to bus stops and Tube stations, small but comfortable and well equipped room, very kind and helpful staff, excellent breakfast in the charming dining room.
Wonderful location lots of restaurants shopping and short walk to the Baker Street and Bond St tube station and bus line…wonderful staff very hospitable and attentive.. room was very comfortable (tv reception not good from US) Great towels! A nice homey place to stay Will return next time in London!
No stars, don’t stay here avoid it
Arrived to no one to help with multiple bags. Room was tiny, worn carpet, smelt of smoke, TV didn’t work and the shower leaked. I asked to move room was told no. I had to carry all my bags to the room myself, no help was offered. When I checked out, I was presented with a bill for a service charge, when asked what this was for, the lady couldn’t explain except say, that’s what we do here? For what? I had no food or drink and carried my own bags? Will never stay here again, no apology and I advise you not to book this hotel. Pay less or more and stay somewhere else. So poor for its location.
Since when do Hotels ask for a service charge ??
Lovely hotel. Great location. Super staff Had paid in advance. Was told i had paid in full on arrival. On checkout - i was asked to pay £10 service charge - i got a nasty feeling it was an attempt to rip me off. I declined - but worrying if this is creeping into Hotels.com pricing or Hotel practices generally
A very warm welcome, you feel part of the family
Can highly recommend this hotel. You are welcomed by the friendly staff who are so helpful and so obliging and cannot do enough to make your stay feel like you are at home and part of the family. The warmth radiating from them all definitely cannot go unnoticed. The hotel is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and a fabulous breakfast. We were originally only booked in for one night but decided to extend our stay. Credit to you all! Definitely will be back.
Overall good experience
The hotel is in a great location, rooms are small but everything is very clean and friendly staff. There is a cigar room that when used, the whole lobby smells, which I didn't like. And also what bothered me, is that I was told I should pay 3% for house keeping and services, they didn't mention it was optional.
Good location, understated and homely but has become quite expensive over time .. used to be much better value for money but now not so much
Great place
Very pleasant stay - superb room, just a little noisy if your room is close to the road. Plenty of bin men early in the mornings!!! Otherwise excellent!
Lovely "boutiquey" hotel, within walking distance of central shopping area of London with the high street shopping of Marylebone next door, Welcoming and freindly staff always there to help
Beautiful restored building in lovely neighborhood
Loved everything! On a quiet street a short walk to dining and shopping. Beautiful area!
The location is second to none. Loved the area and the rooms were perfect for what I needed.
Nice area, friendly staff, super small room and not very clean. AC was weak, it was very hot and it was hard to sleep. We could hear every person that walked in the hall, especially at night time.
We always return to No Ten - great hotel in an excellent location with very friendly staff
Great hotel in good location with friendly and attentive staff - we always return.
Fab Hotel
Beautiful hotel friendly staff.Loved our stay Thank you.
Nice patios
Excellent. Best value for your money in Marylebone.
Watch out the cigar bar!
They have a cigar bar and the smell from the bar was coming through our room which was unbearable.
Excellent staff safe area plenty of places to eat
Great location, friendly staff. Room was miniscule, but it's London... Nice and quiet, yet not far from busy high street. Would stay again.
Wonderful stay
Clean spaces and room, comfy bed, nice big towels, lovely friendly staff and a fantastic location. If ever in London again, we don't even need to look at anyplace else. It'll be No 10 Manchester for us!!
Great location and excellent service
Nice hotel on a quiet street that is very centrally located. Check-in was great- we were grateful to be given early access to our room at check in as well as an extra hour at check out. Not all London hotels are so generous, and it really helped make some long travel days easier. In the room, the bed was comfortable, shower was spacious with ample hot water, and we appreciated the outdoor seating area-- definitely worth splurging on to have some extra room to stretch out in. Overall this hotel exceeded our expectations for comfort, service, convenience and cleanliness. Will definitely return.
Great location, lovely hotel and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately breakfast was poor, everything was overcooked.
A comfy, cosy room in a nice quite location
A comfy, cosy room in a nice quite location with bars/shops/restaurants in easy walking distance. Not far from Baker Street Station. Particularly enjoyed the Cigar Lounge.
Fabulous!
What a fabulous hotel! The front desk staff were so friendly and welcoming, couldn't do enough for you. Very happy with my stay and will definitely be returning.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful location convenient to everything
Super location & great staff
Lovely staff, friendly service. Room was a little small (406) for the price but perhaps standard for London. Room was super clean and had everything I needed. I would stay again for the excellent location.
Lovely quiet location
Lovely boutique hotel in quiet location
Beautiful hotel, great find!
Fantastic hotel. Staff were very friendly and professional. Hotel is in a great location for Oxford Street, Harley Street etc. will definitely be recommending to others.
Staff were amazing- friendly- very accommodating-
Satisfactory
Amazing staff
Great location for our trip to Selfridges. Staff at the hotel are brilliant and can't do enough for you. Bed was lovely and comfortable. Only down side for me was that the lighting in the bedroom was very poor.
Always friendly and helpful second home in London!
Lovely hotel but we were put in a smaller room than we paid for
Friendly customer service and easy check in. The room is quite small and the bed was a bit lumpy. The TV connection constantly cut in and out.
Wonderful Hotel Service Exceptional
The best hotel I have stayed at for service and I have stayed at The Connaught. The staff were fantastic from concierge to the team that cleaned the room.Nothing was to much trouble.I would never stay anywhere else when I need to visit London. It is in a perfect location. So much better than the masive hotels with 4 check in desks.Thankyou 10 Manchester Street Everything was great.
