A nice hotel. Didn't see refrigerator or iron in my room
Great property and facilities. Toilet was separate to the bathroom which is great. Close to the underground to get to other places in London.
Tavistock Hotel
Your staff are awesome! Fred and your front desk staff were very helpful! Your food is so much better than the last hotel/bar we stayed in! Best beer in the world (my friend says)!!! 😂 Thank you! (PS. Brakes on the beds would be helpful)
Great hotel in super location
This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed here and I think it’s a great find in central London. Staff are always super friendly, rooms are consistent in their comfort and amenities. Location is spot on. Clearly they work hard to provide a great experience for the price. Genuinely impressed!
Fantastic time! Room was great and so was staff! This is a must stay for me in London!
Great hotel shame our room was opposite to the cleaners closet which meant l heard them around 7.30am. Room was ok with view of the park, breakfast was nice....
Tavistock Hotel in February20-27 2025
Room given on arrival was noisy at night due to main road but another was offered and was much better. Reception Staff were always friendly & helpful. Breakfast was well provided for and the staff were friendly & attentive. We would like to make a special mention to the Staff who made our stay that much better - breakfast Waitress Aarti (always a lovely smile and nothing was a problem for her) and the evening Doorman Emmanuel who always had a big smile & greeting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & would strongly recommend it to anyone.
Breakfast good, staff friendly, room OK
Good hotel for a night in London, a bit of a disconnect between the luxe atmosphere they appear to be offering in the foyer area versus the state of the rooms. Rooms a little dated and mine unfortunately had a few long hairs on the bathroom floor, it was a one night stay so I didn't feel the need to mention it to staff but had I been staying longer, I probably would have. Nice plump pillows and clean bedding. Breakfast is certainly a highlight and staff very friendly!
Great, friendly!
Hotel was beautiful with classic decor, shower room and wc very small
It’s in a great location
Tavistock wins again
Really nic hotel, great service, Bar is warm and welcoming and breakfast top notch
Safe and convenient for shops and theatre
Perfectly adequate
Perfectly fine hotel. Everything in London is over priced anyway. Bed was huge, pillows never quite the way you want them, cleaning was great. Breakfast a bit pricey for the quality - better places nearby.
The best
One of the most comfortable rooms I’ve stayed in over my travelling life.
Nice clean and quiet. Breakfast brilliant, staff very friendly.
Course trip
Staff helpful. Rooms small but clean and functional. Bar food good
Perfect for a theatre stay
5 minute walk from Euston, the building inside is beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable (my only gripe was that the pillows were far too soft for me). A 5 minute walk took us to Russell Square tube station, 3 stops later we were at Leicester Sq right next to our theatre and plenty of places to eat.
Good location
Great location, very handy for us to get to Kings Cross and Euston. Room clean and with a nice view of the park. Beds very comfortable. The app check-in and check-out process was simple but means that we can't really review the service because we didn't speak to any of the staff the whole time.
Hotel was conveniently located to stations. Easy walking distance of British museum. Room clean and relatively comfortable, quiet hotel and area. We were however not told on booking in that the restaurant at the hotel had been privately booked out for the whole week, it would have been nice to have known that as we had planned on eating there one evening of our stay as it was recommended by the receptionist who booked us in.
Great location
Very good hotel in a superb location, good value for money
Great value hotel
Another great stay, staff are super friendly, hotel is clean and comfortable with good amenities in the room (kettle, hairdryer, toiletries etc.) Great location being a few minutes from Euston and easily walkable to major attractions. London is a busy city so rooms facing the main road can have some traffic’s noise (which doesn’t bother me). No individual hearing control in room so was a little warm but just opened the window!
Fair value. Liked garden view. Lovely staff
Good spot to explore London from
Very noisy environment, barely got any sleep with the traffic noise. One positive, the bed and pillows were very comfortable.
The staff were really helpful. Would definitely stay at the Tavistock next time we are in London
Really excellent staff and very comfortable room for a reasonable price. We only stayed one night so didnt have any breakfast or dinner at the hotel but would definitely come back and try next time.
Well situated
I loved that we had two underground stations pretty close, and the staff was very helpful and very child friendly. The only downside we experience is that the closet was very small . But besides that it is a lovely place and very affordable.
A great stay
A lovely find. Some reviews say it is rather tired, yes it could do with some refurbishment but it is clean, comfortable and well run. Our bedroom was small but we chose the basic and it's adequate for a one night stay. Good shower, large towels, comfortable bed and a great breakfast, what more can you ask, all at a good price for that location. Great Art Deco features in public areas. Poppadom restaurant to die for!
Quite, accessible, clean, easy check-in and out,
Just what we needed for a couple of days!
This hotel is a great place to use, the service was 10 out of 10 so the the room, the shower I wanted to take home as it was wonderful. The room was clean and so quite, considering we are next to a main road, we did not hear anything from outside! The breakfast in the morning was cooked just right, the only problem I have with the breakfast is that it don't come with tinned tomato's or fried mushrooms! those two items make a full breakfast! please add them to the buffet!
Great hotel all round
Good value for money. Excellent staff. Great breakfast and nice bar area.
Staff was very welcoming and kind!
Pleasant mid-price stay
Lovely Art Deco lobby, alert, friendly staff and relatively quiet room (facing the park which has busy roads surrounding it). Our room was compact but beautifully fitted out, very clean and the twin beds were super comfortable - if a little too hot. The breakfast area is very large and a bit gloomy but the food, although expensive, was varied and frequently replenished by the staff. In all, a pleasant stay.
Well located
Well located, a short walk from Euston Station and around a mile from the West End and shopping areas with plenty of local facilities. Lovely art deco lobby with friendly staff. Room a little dated though quite spacious (especially for London) and spotlessly clean. The thin double glazing doesn’t do a particularly good job of keeping out the noise of the street below. Good value.
Nice hotel great location
Great location to walk into camden
Great Bloomsbury find
Great hotel, very friendly staff and good location. Room nicely fitted out, comfy bed, fluffy towels. Bathroom quite small but wasn't an issue for me. Ate in the pub style restaurant = Woolf & Whistle lovely food & excellent prices for central London! Would recommend for overnights in London.
Steven
The hotel is well situated with fantastic travel links around the City, the staff are very friendly & helpful, the breakfast was of high standard, only criticism the room didn't have air-conditioning, however they did supply a fan as it can get a very warm during the night. Highly recommended for a city break.
great location
great location and service. Reasonably priced for London if booked in advanced
Excellent location
The staff here are very helpful and welcoming. We were able to leave our bags here a day before we checked in which was very helpful. The room was a good size for central London. Great location
Tavistock Hotel
The staff were great, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel from the outside doesn’t look much but inside all modern & tasteful. We were a bit anxious if we’d get any sleep at all being on the main road, but we slept really well. The room was a good size & clean, bed comfy. Definitely stay again.
Fantastic Hotel!
Second time staying here- great hotel; really centrally located, close to Soho and Covent Garden, quiet and overlooking Tavistock Park. Breakfast was included, hairdryer in room, kettle with tea and coffee; and really good value for money. Would highly recommend!
Breakfast was amazing. Room was very small. Bed was too large for room.

Very attentive and efficient personnel at the front desk. Hotel is very well located and for the rate it is a great option. Absolutely recommend it.
Great position for a visit to London with easy access to the central bus and tube lines. Cramped bathroom but a calming view across Tavistock Square makes up for that.
Tavistock
Very slow check in missed a meeting even though I arrived in enough time and after check in time. Otherwise standard hotel with an absolutely minute bathroom.
Nice area around the hotel and good places to have breakfast
nice renovations since I last stayed there: new beds, better TVs, new carpets throughout, new improved windows, etc.
I would have liked instructions on how to turn down the heating in my room. Excellent TV reception, and friendly, courteous staff. Would certainly consider staying here again.
Short theatre break with my daughter. Comfy practical room, easy to find, check in and out.
Great value, a nice surprise all around: Super location, reasonably quiet, very safe, fantastic staff. Bathroom was updated, bed / pillows were exceptionally comfortable. Staff was faultless!
Best place I have stayed near Euston / UCL
Very good value for money, and very helpful and cheery staff
1 night stay and a very good experience. Staff were friendly and breakfast was superb. If you’re looking for a great hotel close to Euston then this is ideal.
Very clean, comfy bed. Friendly staff. Wardrobe was a bit too small and awkward to hang clothes as the rail was facing towards you rather horizontal. Was no side table on one side of the bed. However the room was quiet and the hotel is very convenient my located for transport links and lots of places to eat near by. Short walk from Euston station
The bath tab shower is not very easy to adjust
.
The hotel staff were helpful The room was clean , shower excellent . They let us have an extra hour to check out as my mum is quite frail. The bathroom was quite small but we managed.
Great location, easy check-in with friendly staff, clean room, clean lobby, very walkable area within distance of abundant transportation, plenty of dining options, supermarket nearby, quiet room facing the park, WiFi worked well, water pressure was great. Fair price, well worth a stay, I’d certainly visit again.
Excellent
The location is perfec, staff attention Is excelent
Welcoming and perfectly placed.
The Tavistock is perfectly placed, a short walk from Euston Station and Russel Square for the tube. The room wasn't big and there was no provision of an easy chair in the room, but guests were obviously using the bar area as a lounge, which is a comfortable and welcoming space. The staff were all courteous, displaying personality and humour, which we feel is often lacking in some hotels. We will certainly seek out the Tavistock for our next short break in the city.
Hotel room smelled like cigarette smoke and was incredibly dirty to the point I did not feel comfortable walking around without my socks on. In the shower there was visible signs of mold
Friendly staff. Fantastic location. Close to many underground & Rail connections. Close to British Library. Thankfully there is a lift. Area around can be noisy at night. Why do ild fashioned tubs in bathrooms have such high walls that even a fit (though older) person like me is scared of tripping? Asked for a walk in shower but got a tub instead. Some sort of universal design updating is required for things like that.
Overnight family stay.
Very nice hotel, great to have 3 beds for me & sisters. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice restaurant area. Decent breakfast. Very good location, ideal for station and city.
Hotel was very quiet, comfortable bed and staff very helpful.
The Tavistock was clean & comfortable. We had a king room with a park view, tree-level. Could look out the window and see squirrels climbing in the trees. The bed was super comfy. The room was clean. Loved all this. The room was small, and that wasn’t a problem. However, it wasn’t designed for people traveling. Here’s what we didn’t live: There was no luggage rack! Weird, right!? And not even close to enough towel racks. Since the hotel has small rooms, it would be SO much better if the rooms were designed and equipped better.
Very clean. Nice staff
The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was small, basic but very clean. The bed and pillows were remarkably comfortable. Having a window looking out over thr square was wonderful.
Great location and very friendly helpful staff, was upgraded to king bed on arrival which was a bonus, will definitely be staying again thank you
Great location, friendly staff and great value.
Loved it❤️ the staff was lovely, fresh food - we had English breakfast- Loved it thank u so much!!
Great central location
Really good central location. Easy access to Tube. Easy walking to all the main sites. Friendly staff.
Good Hotel
Good hotel for short stays
Wonderful experience. Fantastic staff. Highly recommend.
Good value for money, loved the Art Deco features
Convenient for the underground and for the theatre we were visiting. We booked well in advance and got a very competitive rate considering its proximity to Covent Garden etc. The foyer and bar area retains many of the original Art Deco features. The rooms we had were small but adequate and the room decor was a little tired, but overall well worth the money and would stay again if in the area. My score of 3* for eco friendliness was a neutral score because we weren’t there long enough to form an accurate opinion.
Punches above its weight. Staff went out of their way to be friendly and useful. Indian restaurant on ground floor is amazing. 20 minute walk to west end, close to Tube station.
Television controller stopped working
Comfy Hotel
Nice hotel , nice to see a hotel with a traditional decor
The hotel was warm and comfortable with good access to anywhere in London you may want to go especially the west end . Staff are friendly and helpful and polite
Well situated for sightseeing in London. Room was quiet and well appointed. Service staff were excellent and room made up every day. Breakfast included and a good selection of food. 10 minutes walk from Russell Square Underground Station. Well pleased.
No frills hotel room in a convenient and quiet location close to paddington airport. Great place to lay your head after a day of exploring. Rooms could use an update as there are very few chargers, none by the actual beds. Soap and shampoo amenities could also be modernized
Spent five glorious days at The Tavistock. Superb Staff, absolutely nothing was any trouble to them; excellent breakfast options, great food menu in both the bar area and the sublime Poppadom Restaurant. Comfortable and well appointed room. Great location. Truly impossible to fault.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. The room is good for what you need, very clean and really comfortable large bed, although the bathroom was very dated
Decent hotel, rooms were quite basic. There was a lot of noise from the general area, I could hear snoring in the room next door, lots of noise in the corridoor. Hotel is very busy all the time, the walls are quite thin. A 'park view' means a view of the main road outside, so a bit misleading there, noise outside too. The curtains don't black out the light from the outside. Decent price considering the area, very good location. I didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that
Convenient walk to Oxford St and Tube. Be aware that rooms are compact (standard issue for UK) and there is no a/c or controllable heat however beds are comfortable.
Easy check-in, comfortable room, excellent mattress, lovely and warm Areally nice short stay in central London
Decent hotel, always dependable. Stayed with this chain often and always happy with it.
Did the job but expensive for the amenities
I was expecting more for the price. The hotel is dated, particularly the bathroom furniture. The bath must be from the 60s or 70s and thats the overall impression of the decor and structure. And not in a quaint charming way. It met my needs but only at a basic level. I would have marked it higher if it had been £100 less a night than the high proce I paid. Its a decent hotel but needs investment.
Great value for central London. Decent hotel in a convenient location for visiting either the West End or the City.
The check in staff were very good. The room I was given (404) was on the corner of Tavistock Sq and Woburn Place and was very noisy.
Good hotel with excellent staff but some noise overnight from ambulance sirens.
Lovely place in the heart of London.
I hardly slept - I was on the first floor. Initially there was loud music permeating fromthe ground floor below until around 2pm. Around 3 pm there were loud metalic bangs emanating from outside in the front of the hotel I think there is a storage unit below street level ag the front of the hotel where staff were stacking containers. This carried on all night from time to time. Very poor.
Everything you hoped for in an overnight hotel.
Great stay
Lovely service , great location and comfortable
Great location!
Great Location, walking distance to main attractions, bus and metro stations. Would definitely stay there again.

It’s a solid hotel with comfortable and clean basic rooms. It’s a great value for location and comfort. I would stay here again for sure .
