Always a great place to stay clean quiet property with great staff

What I liked about our stay it was relatively quiet. Things that would like to see an improvement on were room needs a face-lift and bigger portion size for breakfast. Overall food was great and the staff were friendly.

Quaint little spot.

We had a great stay ! Treated kindly. Room was cozy and clean. Beds not to comfortable big hump in middle of bed. However we would go again but ask for another room with maybe a better bed.

We liked everything about the Inn and the staff were wonderful.

Beautiful historic Inn walkable to the quaint town of Wolfville and Acadia University. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back.

I have stayed at the Tattingstone Inn several times over the last few years and each time has been delightful. The place is charming and comfortable and the staff are friendly and efficient. The buildings and the grounds are so pleasant I immediately felt at home. I highly recommend Tattingstone

Our room was delightful and the bathroom was clean and spacious. Our breakfast was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Charming Stay

The hotel is absolutely charming. The private cabins onsite are beautifully decorated and include everything needed for a luxurious and comfortable stay. The dining room and breakfast are worthy of any special occasion. Loved the location for walking and exploring the downtown or campus area.

Tattingstone is a lovely old inn with modern updates. The suite I was in was in the new addition, with high ceilings, lots of tall windows. The rooms were spacious, the furnishings a nice blend of modern and traditional. Great bathroom! Freestanding tub and walk in shower with both rain and handheld showerheads. It looks like it's been designed with accessibility in mind.

So So Stay

The property itself was beautiful and the dining room stunning - I had only breakfast and it was good as well. However, the sheets need an upgrade as do the towels (non absorbent). Check in staff was very proper, no smiles, need to lighten up! Caution if you book Toad Hall, I am only 5'3" tall and banged my head several times on the loft bedroom ceiling.

Beautiful inn in Main Street a very short walk from the shopping/restaurants. Breakfast was made to order (included in room price). Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Quiet

The problem we encountered was that we booked a wine tour with the property and this was cancelled after we checked in. We were told the wineries were not doing tours. Every winery we visited told us this was not true. We were going to book a tour with another company but the property said we could do it through them. We could not book after we checked in. I will never recommend that anyone book a tour through this facility.

The gentleman who assisted us with the evening check-in went above and beyond to help us. The full menu breakfast, which was included in our stay, was delicious. Michelle and the waitstaff at breakfast were kind and attentive and started our day off on the right foot.

Gorgeous property. Our room was Toad Hall. It was historic and super charming. The breakfast was five star. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing - in every possible way!

Rigid and unaccommodating for travellers

We had an okay experience. Our room was clean and comfortable. The way the staff make you feel is not so good. Perhaps, the biggest mistake is the rigidity of breakfast which is strictly by individual time slots. This may work for the hotel but our observation and personal experience is that it doesn’t always work for a guest who is on holiday and may be needing to leave at a certain time to catch flights. Due to the fact we had a flight on our check out day we waited to speak to the lady who seemed to be in charge at breakfast yesterday morning (we think she may be the owner) and asked if we could have an earlier time slot this morning for breakfast as we needed to get away for our flight. She asked us if 7:45am would work and we said it would. We saw her write it down on a piece of paper. When we arrived at 7.45am this morning we were told that our breakfast time is 8.30am. We said that we had requested the earlier time yesterday and were seated. However, we waited for 25 minutes and our food still had no signs of arriving. This is despite a very large party of cyclists in Lycra who we saw order after us being served their food. In the end we had to leave without breakfast. When we went to checkout the lady (same one who seemed to think we were misbehaving by arriving early to breakfast) was very odd. There was no comment like - “we hope you had a nice stay” or “thanks for staying with us we hope to see you soon” or any normal pleasantries. It is just an odd sort of place.

A lovely, quiet place to celebrate with the ones you love.

Two female cousins who travelled together. We stayed in Toad Hall and it was perfect and adorable. Check-in was simple and quick, the cottage was lovely and cool (we arrived on a day over 30C), and the walk to town was quick (under 15 min). We used the pullout couch, which was easy to do. Caution for those with mobility issues: The stairs to the second floor are a little steep. If two people (not a couple) stay together, one disadvantage is that the bathroom is on the second floor in the main bedroom, so some may be concerned about privacy. For us, it wasn't an issue. Also, the breakfast was amazing and quick. We loved the BnB!

The room had a private patio for enjoying the warm weather. The dining room has lots of window with lovely views of the property. A selection of options were offered for the included breakfast. Enjoyed our stay.

The Tattingstone Inn property is a quaint set up, just minutes away from downtown Wolfville. I loved the gardens and patio seating and the accommodation. I had booked a deluxe cottage for myself and my parents and stayed just one night, but I wish I had stayed longer. All the amenities you'd possibly need after a tiring travel are available in the cottage. The only thing I didn't like was the wash basin in the bathroom. It seems like a trivial thing to mention in a review, but it was too small to even brush your teeth properly at or wash your face without spilling water all over the floor or hitting your head on the cupboard above. Everything else was a delight. The staff are especially polite and attentive.

Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Definitely would stay again.

Wonderful Inn!

What a lovely stay at Tattingstone. The staff is extremely nice, the breakfast was fantastic, and the room (especially the bathroom with a big tub) was spacious and comfortable. We had a private patio with chairs and umbrella, and dedicated parking spot. It’s obvious a lot of thought has gone into the details. Wish were there for longer, will absolutely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Comfortable large room

Great management. Gave great recommendations for area. Room was comfortable with large updated bathroom. Breakfast was very good with many options to choose from. Only complaint was carpet in room showed several dirty areas. Needs to be replaced or cleaned. Overall stay was lovely.

Lovely Inn, great staff

Toad Hall is a very cozy & comfortable cottage at Tattingstone. Almost like being at home. Friendly & helpful staff. Very convenient walking distance to restaurants, shopping & Minas Basin.

This will be a pretty Inn once construction is done. They are building another building next to the main house. However my room was not in the main house , it was in a structure next to the main house( there will be a total of three when done) They do not allow you to sit on the front porch with your own beverages- you have to buy from them (there is nowhere else to sit outside). The breakfast which was included was very nice.

I would rate it higher but during my visit there was construction so outdoor area Wasn’t great. One of the beds in our room was needing replacement as it was concave. Breakfast and staff were all great. Good location.

original room (Toad Hall) was musty. We had to move to another room that was a little worse for wear, but was comfy.

Had a great stay,visiting Wolfville looking for apt for Acadia student everything went really smooth and successful. staff we’re extremely helpful and friendly Room was great and close to everything .

As there is some construction on the property I did not rate the area around the property as highly, but I will absolutely eternally - staff very friendly and welcoming and the amenities were just right

Wonderful b&B, my wife and I have stayed there a number of times and have never been anything other than delighted with....well...just about everything about the Tattingstone.

A super nice place to stay - excellent customer service. I don't think we could afford it during peak season though (we were there in March). Walkable to downtown and campus.

We absolutely loved Toad Hall! And love that there is a copy of The wind in the Willows there too! And loved the Jacuzzi, especially after hiking Cape Split.

Would highly recommend and will certainly be back!

Piece of Heaven

The Tattingstone Inn is a piece of heaven on earth... It is a fantastic place, very cozy and it has a very relaxing vibe to it. We have stayed here quite a few times and everytime it doesn't dissapoint. Everything is super clean and everyone is very nice. Food is delicious, although I missed the morning whipped yoghurt :(, everything was incredible and very tasty. Tattingstone will always be and feel like our home away from home.

All good with this property. I certainly recommend and I will be back. This inn is a true representation of the Annapolis Valley.

Treated like family.

We were greeted warmly upon arrival. We were led to our room and given instructions on the jacuzzi operation. In the morning, the included breakfast had a good selection to choose from. My Belgian waffle was delicious, as was my wife’s eggs Benedict. The dining area was gorgeous. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. The only thing that prevented a 5 star in comfort was the mattress, it was on the soft side, too soft for us, as we are accustomed to a firm mattress. Overall, a great experience at a wonderful inn and warm and friendly staff. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Had argument with management for breakfast

This is a beautiful old Inn that has been well kept and updated. We stayed for 4 nights in room 5 of the main building, and the bed was very comfortable, all was very clean and well kept. Breakfast was in the restaurant and food was excellent, service was also excellent. We come twice a year and have stayed at a number of the other Inns near by, this is my favourite so far, and I will be back again in the new year. :)

We truly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The property is beautiful, the staff extremely professional and pleasant. Everything was taken care of, down to the last detail. The breakfasts were lovely, a good selection, and the five course tasting menu was outstanding. The stay could not have been better . All our expectations were met.

Beautiful Inn. Friendly, courteous staff. Quiet, well landscaped and very clean. Free sit down breakfast is icing on the cake. Walking distance to downtown wolfville. Definitely would go back and will suggest to friends and family.

We had a lovely stay, room was a good size, bed was very comfortable. Great cooling system in the bedroom and heater in the bathroom. The staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with several hot choices. It was walking distance to restaurants if you don’t want to eat here. Free parking is always a bonus.

Lovely house

We travelled to Wolfville with our 5 and 3 year olds for a wedding. Tattingstone Inn is an absolute treasure! From cocktails on the veranda to the made to order breakfast, everything is delicious. Our room was new and comfortable. It was a quaint 20 minute walk to restaurants with lots to chat about as we passed the Acadia campus. We had never been to Wolfville, but we’ll be back!

The Tattingstone Inn was wonderful. The staff were friendly, helped us unload our luggage, and already had a playpen in our room. When we arrived for breakfast both days, they had a high chair and booster seat in place for our kids. The room had comfortable beds and a large bathroom, as well as a mini fridge (which was very helpful in storing baby’s milk and water for ourselves. It was quiet and we felt like we had a good amount of privacy.
