Awesome Manager and Staff

We stayed here for 24 days. One of the best Tanoa Hotels. Loved the atmosphere, the staff, the food, the surroundings, the whole ambience of this place. Just would like the Manager to know that he runs an amazing team. This is why we love Rakiraki and it will always be home.

Enjoyed our stay. Hotel and grounds were well kept and gardens were beautiful. Service was great, all staff were very friendly and attentive. Room was comfortable and clean. Decent included breakfast selection with cold and hot options, would just be good if breakfast ran later than 9am to ensure guests can utilise it. Hotel was quiet and safe with parking options and a nice outside area for kids to play. Pool looked well kept but we didn’t use as was cold by the time we got back to the hotel each day. Great location on main road for those passing through Rakiraki or visiting family and friends in the area. Well stay again. Vinaka :)

Very clean and tidy rooms. Best service experienced compared to other hotels. Only Swimming pool area was small and mostly looks like workers and other locals also hanging around the shed next to pool . Thats why hardly see visitors in the pool.

Great restaurant and pool area

I didn't have terribly high expectations of this hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised. The check-in was smooth and friendly and the room was more than acceptable. The grounds (especially the pool area) were well maintained and looked inviting. Best aspect was the restaurant/bar - huge portions of delicious food at very reasonable prices. Worst aspect was the very loud sound of someone in a nearby room dragging furniture across the tiled floor all through the night. Our friends in the room next to us heard it as well, neither of us slept very well as a result. This isn't the hotel's fault, but the soundproofing between rooms isn't great.

Tanoa Rakiraki is a modest, nice property. Nothing fancy. Clean room, slightly musty at first, but fine once the windows were opened or the AC turned on. Comfortable enough. Decent shower. Good restaurant, though very slow. Small pool. Pleasant grounds. It's sort of a shame that the rooms are better oriented to take advantage of the views, because the surrounding area is stunning. This is a fine place to stay (and there aren't many options) on the northern road route between Nadi and Suva. It's well worth spending a day or so in this area because it is really beautiful. You can visit the nearby Volivoli Beach Resort as a day guest cheaply and enjoy some extra views and amenities there.

Queit location

The hotel is a great option for staying in Rakiraki. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the restaurant nice.

Very friendly staff, lovely location, not to far from Rakiraki. Menu wasn't great, very limited. No kids meals or 1/2 serves. I'm on a strict diet & was charged full price even tho I only ordered part of a meal. A piece of chicken & chips cost me $25FJ.They were kind enough not to charge me for breakfast as I couldn't eat anything on the free list they cooked me 2 scrambled eggs. I was advised when I asked for just a piece of grilled fish, no salad or chips etc that it would still be $30FJ, I oredered a $30 pizza & ate 2 pieces of topping & gave the rest to family. I think this needs to be looked at. Apart from that I only have positve things to say & would consider staying the again.

Room was comfortable and clean. The windows of the room could not close completely so we could hear people outside late at night and early morning. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was really good. Our room included continental breakfast which was okay (basic bread and fruits).

Staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was great.

The most part I like front desk Clack, he's name was Ashneel Singh, he was very helpful and accomodations also All the stuff were very nice helpful.room service was excellent, clean place

Daily breakfast was excellent with tropical fruits.My wife liked the pawpaw very much.And some days we enjoyed the Indian roti & curry.That I Indian girl made excellent round& fresh rotis.We definately gonna come back next trip & enjoy next trip.We stayed 6 nights & all were excellent.No complains.Daily price was very excellent& affordable.

I had over 15 roaches in the first room that I had. The second room they changed me to, had about 5-7.

Paid $70AUD a night so satisfactory stay

My first time to stay .it's closer to places i had to visit. No problems with transport to town or to other city connection. It's clean and work requests for any problems are attended to.

while showering water stopped. walked out 1/2 hour later after checking in and handed the key. we didn't returned back or asked for refund. Take real photos of the place!

There is very limited beach access anywhere around. Beachside resorts are at the end of most roads and seem to have the right to refuse entry to non-guests. The hotel itself is fine but two days of continuous, unavoidable, mind-numbingly awful muzak imitating Christmas Carols was more than enough.

Weather always makes or breaks a hotel stay and we had good weather.

Everything is so old at the hotel. It felt as if I was living in the oldern days. The hotel needs renovation.

Central Hotel.

I booked my stay about 5 weeks before my travel date. The room was just as the webpage showed. Hotel staff were courteous, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was all I needed (continental). I ended up staying another night because of changed circumstances which presented no issue. The hotel gardens are beautiful. The pool was a welcome relief after a busy day. Would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent business style hotel for a few nights. No beach or sea view and pool a little small. Food excellent and relatively cheep. The whole place is excellent value for money

Avoid weekends and drinking parties

Don't expect to sleep if you use this hotel at weekends as it degenerates into a nightclub/knockshop. Night staff tried hard but were unable to control the loud partying by young local couples shouting, running up and down outside rooms and drinking hard. Pity as otherwise clean and up to date facility with pleasant staff.

We enjoyed our stay here but found the location an issue. Without a car and reliant on taxis to even get to the beach. The hotel itself was fine and staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff were really friendly, facilities were basic. The air-conditioner kept short circuiting the electricity so we had to use the fan so it got really hot.

Stayed here for one night while driving around the island. Nice room, very clean and comfortable. Great bathroom with good shower. Room had a fridge and kettle. Enjoyed a bit of time at the pool and there's a billiard and ping pong tables available as well. Had a nice meal in the restaurant at dinner time and a good continental breakfast (included) the next morning. If you're in the area I'd recommend this hotel.

Room was comfortable, however, due to weather conditions, we had water seeping into the room quite a bit. Hotel was quick to move us to another room though, which was thoughtful. Staff were friendly and lovely.
