Great beachfront location and restaurant

Bed very comfortable. Room small for two. Location at beachfront outstanding. Secure parking and entry. Great restaurant at beachfront. No cleaning service mid stay but they’re happy to exchange towels. Friendly, helpful, kind staff.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but our room was comfy, had what we needed, staff pleasant, in-touch, and helpful.

Great quality and location

The location is really great if you like to be tucked away from downtown Rincon. The beach proximity is also fantastic . The water there can be on the rougher side so perhaps not the best if you aren't a great swimmer but it's still just a short drive to many other beaches. Restaurant was also excellent, especially the service there.

This hotel was very cute and has an amazing, one of a kind beachfront location! The check-in process was easy and all staff were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great too, with unbeatable ocean views.

The quality of the food ingredients ,poor. They need to improve on the menu and the quality of what they serve.

My partner and I love Tamboo, we always stay here when visiting Rincon. The place is spotless the staff is lovely and the restaurants bar and food are delicious

Tamboo’s staff was friendly and the location can’t be beat for surfing on Sandy Beach. I’ve stayed at three hotels in Rincon and Tamboo was definitely my favorite.

Tiny spaces, but big beaches and views!

Great location to beach! Recommend this for a quick stop in Rincon for a couple. Rooms are small, but efficient. Restaurant is the best!!! Sit upstairs at sunset!

The location, beach, and bar and restaurant are top notch. Very convenient to other restaurants, bars, and sights. There is a nice and secure parking lot across the road from the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner works well but it makes a periodic loud humming sound every few minutes that occasionally made it difficult to sleep. We had to request additional t.p. and towels at the front desk, no one came to our room at any time to see if we needed anything. Needs more light in the bathroom and we were disappointed that the restaurant/bar was closed on the last two days of our stay so there wasn't anywhere close to get a drink on the beach on those two days. Otherwise, a very good value and pretty place to stay. The pool is a bit small and cold so we were happy that the beach was so nice and the sea was calm and warm.

We loved the location, right on Sandy Beach and walkable to several restaurants. The staff was friendly and responded to all requests! Our room was small for two adults for a week so we will get a bigger room at Tamboo next time. But we will come back .

Loved Tamboo! The staff was very attentive and the restaurant was delicious! I totally suggest staying here! There was a problem and it was so quickly rectified it made my head spins! The staff was amazing I can say it enough. Also the location is drop dead gorgeous. If you stay in rincon stay here!

Lovely location on Sandy beach. Friendly staff. Comfortable room.We enjoyed their restaurant. Awesome view. Nice beach for swimming, relaxing and walks.Breakfast at Jacks a short walk up the road and other dinner options nearby at The Big Kahuna and the Red Flamboyan. Rincon Town a short drive away with lots of fun activities. Brunch at the English Rose and a visit to the lighthouse with Mojitos at bar on site recommended !!

Tamboo is paradise

Tamboo is an incredible place to stay at. The hotel is small enough to make it feel like it’s all to yourself. Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, security working all day. Safe and enjoyable. Restaurant is delicious. I recommend the tamboo ribs and stuffed pepper. Location is incredible. Only negative thing I have to say is cocktails are a little pricey but will absolutely stay again.

Very nice place. They had a great restaurant as well. The property had consistent hot water for the showers and clean towels for the pool and beach. The A/C units were a bit too big for our room, so learn your Celsius, put it on a timer and be careful not to freeze yourself.

Tamboo exceeded our expectations. The rooms were so cute and cozy! The staff was amazing and you can’t beat the beach access. I give this 10/10 and will definitely be returning!

Toilets suck

The toilets don't work...ours was backed up, we heard our neighbors struggling with theirs, and a sign in the bar bathrooms that say don't flush paper cause their sewer system can't handle it. Kinda gross.

Tight but we’ll done rooms. Beautiful view of the ocean from the bar/balcony. Staff were all very helpful.

Fantastic small beach hotel!

Great boutique hotel with fantastic location right on the beach and great bar/restaurant. Local coffee shops in walking distance!

Located just a few steps from the beach, Tamboo is a clean and extremely hospitable hotel. Being able to text reception, dinner, drinks, clean and relaxing pool, room extremely clean and with very cold AC. Television options were perfect and everything worked easily. Mini bar in the fridge was so convenient when ordering a pizza you’ll have a soda from the fridge for a small charge. Water pressure was great as well and plenty of towels to use. Bed was comfortable and style of room was super cool and beachy.

Not mnch to do at night.

Tamboo was a great find. For a number of years I frequented another Rincon beach resort but I tried Tamboo and so glad I did. They have a nice little beach which I walked on but was not really able to enjoy because of business. The restaurant was not open when I was there but it looks very nice with all outdoor seating. (Some covered) There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff sent me a long text with local options for food, fun, and shopping. The room looked so good. It must have been recently renovated. There is a small jacuzzi which was great after a run. I highly recommend a jog while here. The hills are brutal and provide a great workout. But have water with you. The parking is ample and gated.

No beach towel ($20 if you want to buy one), no full mirror in room, no housekeeping ($15 if you want a refresh per day), the electricity went off the two nights and the sound of the electrical plant was really loud because it was in front puf our room.

Comfy, clean & well equipped room. Everyone was very nice. My only issue is that the observation deck was closed. I wanted to sit and look for whales. When the restaurant was open it left little to no space for guest to look out to the water. One suggestion is to offer guests the ability to use a chair out on the beach. Thank you for everything.

Waterside hotel

Wonderful beach side resort. Steps away from Sandy beach. Beach bar opens daily at 1pm. Currently, restaurant is open Fri-Sun. The location offers private parking, outside shower, pool, & lounge areas. We stayed in room #5 - a small but comfortable room with a/c, mini fridge. The showers & hot water are very tricky. If the shower is not in the perfect spot it is difficult to get hot water. The staff is lovely, responsive and very friendly. Would stay here again!

This is a boutique hotel in a quiet beach area of Rincón. The food and beachside view is amazing!

The property and location was wonderful. Steps to the beach. The room was clean and decorated nicely. I was quite impressed with the small hotel. I would stay there again because of the intimate cozy setting and proximity to the beach.

Location is prime, views beautiful. Very quaint and inviting ambiance. My room felt clean bed very comfortable. Ac unit on point. Only complaint is shower head points outwardly and soaked floor every time and bathroom sink clogged and slow to drain. Other than that all was good.

Beautiful property with a convenient restaurant but our room was tiny. We literally didn’t have room to have both our luggage’s out ( traveled with my fiancé). The shower only had hot water on the lowest pressure setting so it made washing your hair take way longer and every time the shower ran it leaked into the bedroom area. I really wanted to like this place but it was not a good room. When we told the front desk they were willing to give us another room but it would have been the night before we were checking out. In my opinion this is a place you visit for a drink bc of the view but definitely not stay.

Location is great for water sports and surfing.

Superb staff!

Though the hotel had to move me to a different hotel after the first night due to a broken AC unit, services and accommodation was excellent. They promptly gave me a refund, and very responsive on my inquires and request. Having a restaurant right next to it and access to the best beach was very convenient. Natalia, thanks for your effort trying to accommodate me with alternative stay and clear communication. Maybe next time, i will try to stay at tour place again. Thanks. - Michelle

Great people,fantastic service. Definatly would reccomend Tamboo for anyone wanting a quiet non commerical area. Food was fantastic from the restaurant. We did not realize the hours during the week were limited. We are in a pandemic.

I decided to stay at Tamboo during my two week vacation in PR and it was an excellent choice by the beach. The location as well as the place are A1.

The deck overlooking the ocean was nice. Limited dining options since restaurant was only open Friday and Saturday and had a wait to even just get a drink to go.

Poor administration

The restaurant was so good ! I wish it would’ve been open during our whole stay, but if you’re there when it’s open get the ceviche!

Want to go back already

Tamboo was such a special vacation. It felt like a private oasis with in the town. The staff was excellent and always helpful. The room while smaller was perfect for my husband and me.

If you are looking for convenience, then the hotel is centrally located. However, the bathroom aside from being tiny, the shower sprays in every direction with no water pressure. This would be mildly tolerable, except we didn’t have one hot shower. We told the staff and a plumber was unavailable for two days. The staff offered a free night in the future for these disappointing conditions. I can’t say I would recommend anyone stay there and it is highly unlikely I would return to that hotel. The staff is only onsite until 6pm daily. They do not provide beach towels, but charge $25 for beach towels. Make sure you make reservations for the restaurant, which is often booked for dinner.

Great staff, nice beach, restaurant, more oriented to families and a more mature people for staying at the hotel, than to partying at the bar
