Very nice and secure hotel next to Wilson airport. I have stayed here multiple times and price is good for the quality of stay. Food is good but quite expensive.

We stayed at the Tamarind Tree for one night in August of 2024. The hotel presents as a high-end business hotel. It is located in a neighborhood that one might think twice about walking around in, however, the hotel itself is very secure and felt very safe. The room was quite large, clean and comfortable. The pool and restaurant are very nice and clean and the breakfast buffet was much better than average. The staff was very helpful in every way. We stayed there due to it both being close to Wilson Airport (we were headed out to Masai Mara) and it being close to Carnivore Restaurant, which we wanted to try. In fact the Carnivore is actually part of the hotel property and a hotel staff member walked us on a nice pathway straight to the restaurant, and one of the restaurant security members walked us back. I would still have felt secure without the escort, but it was nice. We would definitely stay there again in the future.

Great stay

Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable, complemented by outstanding service throughout our visit. A special mention goes to Janes at the spa, whose fantastic treatments elevated our experience to another level of luxury and relaxation.

$40 for an OK breakfast buffet is the most I have ever paid in Kenya. Deal-breaker for the future. No ala cart. $40 or nothing to eat.

Convenient to Wilson and Nairobi National Park. Ask for driver Gerold to take you in private car through park to see many animals: rhinos, ostrich, water buffalo, caracal leopard.

Comfortable stay

I had a short overnight at Tamarind Tree hotel - I was joining a tour to Masai Mara early morning with breakfast included with my tour. The hotel is clean and staff pleasant. I was surprised that there was a hole where the mini bar should have been. I was told that it was given on request. The mini bar should have been there based on the rate charged.

Safe and friendly. Hospitality was excellent and rooms comfortable, clean and well appointed. Very convenient location to Wilson airport for those flying out on safari.

Fabulous property. I highly recommend the stay at this place. Quiet and clean. External tour companies were willing to pick us up from the hotel. I also recommend the breakfast buffet. It had many options.

Outstanding staff!! Professional, friendly and accommodating! Stayed two nights (arriving then departing Nairobi). Both visits were very nice. The room is spacious, updated and perfectly clean. The restaurant was also very good. Spent money on a gorgeous leather purse in the gift shop. Arranged for the hotel car to take us to the airport ($5.00). Very secure hotel with guards at the gate, the doors and metal detectors upon entry. Definitely will stay here again next year when we return again to see family. Reasonably priced with excellent value. High recommend this hotel!!

Modern, clean and safe hotel

Clean, modern and safe hotel. Could use other breakfast options other then the expensive buffet. Also if staying on a weekend, very busy with locals who come for the brunch buffet or other events and are given full day access to the pool area so not the most relaxing for hotel guests. Really needs more poolside seating.

I thought I had booked the room that included breakfast. When I arrived to take breakfast I was informed breakfast was not included in the price I had advance paid for. This was not only disappointing, but expensive at $30.00 each. Additionally, the wait-staff needs improving. Slow and inattentive. Other than that, its a beautiful property and wonderful accommodations

Awesome hotel, awful bathroom design

Everything about this new hotel is very nice, except the bathroom design. There is no privacy at all, and even a mirror positioned so that anyone laying on the bed can see right into the bathroom. Super uncomfortable....

First time I stayed at the hotel recommended by a friend Apart from the staff being absolutely lovely attentive and polite the standard was excellent the room immaculate and they seemed happy to help with anything The buffet was excellent value and very good food I will stay there next time I come into Nairobi

Security at the parking lot and front door. Beautiful and clean property. Staff is mostly excellent. A couple times we had to look for help or wait but overall really good staff. Food off the ala carte menu is great! I checked out the buffet and looked ok but menu offerings were excellent. I recommend this property.

This facility has first class infrastructure and amenities, but unfortunately does not have the staff to go with it. Their bathroom facilities are not private so if you share a room be prepared for this. Their breakfast rates are very expensive at $30. Lastly, if you ask for a taxi, the staff try to gouge you in an era where Uber is available at a click of button. It has a lot of potential, but first needs an overhaul of the staff from top to bottom.
