Comfortable, clean and well equipped

Self contained facility within the host's property. Spacious living room with sofa, lounger, coffee table plus a dining table and two chairs. Fridge, toaster and kettle (coffee machine - extra charge). Large flat screen TV. Very comfortable one night stay en route further north. Separate bedroom with large comfortable bed. Large en suite shower and toilet. Very clean and everything in very good condition. Small terrace immediately outside with table and chairs. Parking right outside the room. Breakfast items in fridge and cupboard: yoghurt, cereals, milk, fruit juice, bread, butter, jams and a well stocked fruit bowl. Very nice hosts. Quiet location in a residential area.

Wonderful views nice clean tidy rooms and lovely extra's

Very clean and modern.

We were warmly greeted and unexpected found a big bowl of fruits in our apartment. The floors are clean and carpeted and we had a very well equipped kitchen. After that experience we always measured other stays on the high standard found here. We can highly recommend that place. Thank you very much for the great experience!

Awesome apartment

Beautiful, comfortable apartment. Extremely well equipped in a stunning location. Lovely extra touches like cereals (inc gluten free) fruit, bread, butter, jams, yoghurt several teas and coffees to name but a few. Lovely owner very helpful and eager to help and recommend other local businesses. Give this place your money, you wont regret it.

The cereal, fruit, milk and juice left by the host were so thoughtful and appreciated.

Great hospitality

This was beautiful accommodation and we wished we could have stayed longer. Lauren is wonderfully hospitable. Everything we could need was provided and there was lots of room to spread out. The shower was roomy, which was very pleasing, as most hotels seem to squeeze in a tiny shower cubicle. It was in a quiet, safe area and we slept really well.

The room was spacious clean and comfortable. Our unit felt a bit like a basement suite. The hotel is out of the main town area so you have to drive to restaurants. A quirky thing was charging $2 for a coffee pick. This was even though breakfast in your room was included.

Helpful host, comfortable but slightly dated apt.

The owner was extremely welcoming, helpful and anxious to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean and comfortable but was rather tired and out of date (although I understand plans are in place to upgrade it). It was a little smaller than we expected but was well situated with lovely views. Breakfast was very good.

Exceptional, really too bad our stay was so short.

The room which we enjoyed had a wonderful view, the amenities were thoughtful and convenient, and the large bathroom area offered great water pressure --- something we always love when traveling. Our host, Lauren, took the time to offer great suggestions and give us helpful information related to the area and New Zealand that made it easier for us to get settled and comfortable. Lauren also did a wonderful job providing fruit and keeping our space ready and clean. Many thanks to her. Overall, Tahi Lodge was a wonderful place to stay and we definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

First class accommodation.

We had a great stay at Tahai Lodge, Lauren couldn’t have been more helpful, the room has everything and there was homemade Museli, jam, bread, yoghurt, fresh fruit, etc for breakfast it was brilliant plus amazing views from the property, couldn’t have been better.

we loved the amazing views, quietness and cleanliness. wonderful friendliness from amazing host Lauren. We had a very enjoyable and peaceful overnight stay at Tahi Lodge. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other travellers and visitors and we would definitely return to Tahi Lodge. Adrienne and Rick

Laura greeted us upon arrival and helped us with a small load of laundry as the unit no longer has a washer/dryer. The unit was quite warm and had only one fan so my son’s bedroom was quite hot and muggy during the night. The breakfast provided was good- 4 assorted jams & honey, butter amd a loaf of bread, plus assorted cereals. The TV was quite small but fortunately was a Smart TV so we were able to access Netflix. Overall, I would highly recommend Tahi Lodge was the only caveat being the lack of a fan in the second bedroom.

Costly. Breakfast was cereals and yoghurt.

Family owned. Great accommodation. Friendly, helpful and very gracious.

Beautiful view

I had a very nice stay. I found the place to be very comfortable and clean. The owner was very welcoming and provided helpful advice. I enjoyed the sunrise view from the patio and I would recommend this place to others.

Like the view and the hospitality was on point. Very friendly and hostess to the mostest.

Only stayed one night, but the apartment was excellent: nicely furnished and immaculately clean. Owner was really nice and gave us lots of local information. Would recommend without reservation, but plan to stay more than overnight.

The host Lauren made me feel so welcome, it's hard to find that level of care and effort anywhere. definatly recommend.

Very relaxing and quiet

Lovely & quiet. Nice breakfast provided. Felt more like a hotel with the level of service. Recommended for a nice break and close to the Matakana Wine trail & nice local beach

I have stayed at a lot of 5 star hotels and even thiugh this one isn't, it felt a lot like it. Room is nicely sized. Great amenities that will cover everything you need. Good views... Stayed for just one night but will come back for sure.

Lauren is a gem, what an amazing host. I made huge booboo with my booking instead is booking for 4 adults I booked for one only and Lauren miraculous fixes the problem 🙏🙏🙏

Beautiful view. Very clean accommodation. Absolutely wonderful host. Would absolutely recommend this property.

The property is nice and spacious with a lovely little patio outside the bedroom which is nice and secluded and has a lovely view. A great place to enjoy breakfast. Very peaceful and private in an idyllic location. Both Lauren and Warren were great hosts and nothing was too much, had some great chats. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Very beautiful vacation home, clean, confort and has amazing view. The beautiful birds singing and amazing sunrise in the very early morning. the outside deck has beautiful smell from the surrounding plants. We also enjoyed the delious breakfast very much. Thank you!

Lovely place and very comfortable.The host prepared everything perfectly and detail .Good location with Snell beach view from the property,very recommended.Near Matakana River,Omaha beach,Leigh,and many more attraction place for tourist..Stay on Saturday give us an experience to taste local food at Matakana market which held every saturday from 9 am-2 pm..

Very comfortable and private. A lot of attention to detail and freshly baked banana bread on arrival - what a treat ! Lovely sea views although hedge could do with a trim so you could actually see it while sitting on the deck.

Lovely place!

The Tahi Lodge is set near the lovely coastal town of Snell’s Beach. You can see the Pacific from the patio! Lauren was a gracious host and even brought us homemade banana bread. So nice!

Nice apartment with great few! Breakfast was fantastic! Very friendly owner - we have got some cake on arrival. There are no shops or restaurants in walking distance

A gem

Nice spot to explore the Matakana coast region. 2 bedroom unit with continental breakfast provisions provided and daily cleaning - including fresh towels and a free laundry service from the host!

This was our first visit to the Matakana Coast and Thai Lodge was very conveniently located for a host of activities including golf, bird photography, vineyards and sightsee generally. The facilities at the lodge met our needs fully. They were clean, well presented, breakfast and fruit provided and Warren and Lauren were excellent hosts. Lauren went out of her way to assist us on numerous occasions. A great stay.
