Wonderful hotel

Big and beautiful room, clean and nice view from window. Excellent in all aspects.

This hotel is wonderful. Clean and quiet. It is a great hotel.

Quiet.

It was difficult to communicate with the staff at the front desk because they couldn't understand English. Very poor room service, our room wasn't vacuumed for two days and we had to call the manager to see it herself. The breakfast was very good and the staff in charge of the breakfast were excellent. The outside garden.was poorly managed, it needs a much better attention.

Staff was great. Gym equipment is outdated.

The closest train station is ~15 minutes walk away. The breakfast buffet is fantastic.

Jim was very helpful at the hotel. All of them staff were also quite supportive.

Elevator is slow, I waited for 4 times to get down from floor 31. Suggest to choose higher floor so you would be easier to get in

Breakfast was not good and less choices, which is very important.

Front desk staffs are very well educated, friendly, and helpful. The house keeper at 36 floor was kind and helpful. Breakfast was great to start a fresh day. Room was clean and cozy. Overall, a wonderful experience at this Marriott. Thank you all!

Quality hotel for anyone

I enjoyed the stay. Second time booking the hotel. Will return. The food in the restaurant and room service was very good, though on the expensive side. Staff are all very professional.

The staff made the stay very pleasant.

The room is big and clean with a huge bathroom. The staff at the front office is very very helpful. They even provide advice on the itinerary for free and easy travellers.

At the check-in time, one of staff said that I need to pay for breakfast fee for 1 person. But I’ve paid already break fast included fees for 3 person. It took a time to check-in so it’s an convenient situation. Rooms and amenities are good.

It was a very pleasant stay. The staffs were eager to help, but I feel the ladies checking people in for breakfast could be trained a little more on better manners.

It's a beautiful hotel, food was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. What made it easier was that the staff also spoke English and made my stay more pleasant. I'm planning on going back to Suzhou and I'll be staying there again for sure. I definitely recommend this hotel. You'll have a pleasant time there...

staff are nice and polite.. on site Chinese restaurant is excellent. hotel has a small garden which is a plus.

Hotel was great, Food excellent and staff welcoming. Room was always cleaned to a high standard and fridge in the room a real bonus. I will book this hotel again for my next trip to this region in China.

Landmark-type Hotel

All is well except the water temperature of the swimming pool, which is a little cold. Both restaurants are delicious and worth the money.

The hotel is amazing. Not a lot to do for the westerners in the local area around the hotel.

Clean, comfortable, convenient and super helpful

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Most spoke english fairly well, and all staff i encountered could at lesst speak some english. The room was very clean and comfortable. Its also is only a short walk to the metro station which was very convenient.

Outstanding Breakfast Convenient to Transit

This hotel provided me excellent service: my room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The breakfast buffet was truly outstanding. The helpful, friendly people at the front desk worked very hard for me to get the answers to my questions. The hotel is about a ten-minute accessible walk east from the Xihuan Lu Metro Station. The hotel is also just across the street from a multiple city bus lines bus stop.

Wonderful stay in Suzhou

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious.

Very quick business trip. Very pleasant stay except for room service - very disappointing quality. They were very apologetic and offered a complimentary take away light breakfast. For which I was grateful.

Great experience staying at this hotel. Helpful and courteous staff. Very responsive to my needs. Great Chef Stefano Balduccio, Great Concierge Supervisor Augus Lai and Ms. Sylvia. I will come back again to this hotel if I am visiting Suzhou, China.

Nice hotel

The Marriott is a well appointed hotel with most that you need. Location is a little away from main Suzhou but metro is nearby and taxis easy to find. The rooms are good except the heating in the room, even without the the air conditioning is a little warm. The food is good although a little crowded at breakfast times. The coffee shop is a good alternative for a quick snack and has great coffee!

Beautiful clean and great service

Wonderful hotel in Suzhou! Metro is 5 mins walk. Beautifully clean and amazing service. Great spa facilities and good food. The buffet breakfast isn’t definitely worth the money. We will be back!

Great hotel

Excellent hotel. I enjoyed the sauna very much. The bed and the pillow were super comfy. Breakfast is fine though not extraordinary. I will come back again. The only downside is the location: about 20-30 minutes taxi ride to the major sights.

A Great Place to Stay

An outstanding hotel where they are doing things the right way. The room was excellent, with a great view. Access to wifi was straight-forward with no silly passwords. The breakfast buffet was super. It is about ten minutes walk to the Xihuan Road metro station, where there are escalators and elevators to get your luggage to the train from the street, and vice versa. The neighborhood is bland and lacks little shops.

Nice hotel -a short cab ride to most tourist sites

Nice hotel. A bit far from the tourist center (old city center) but that's only a short cab ride away. The staff, from the front doormen to the check-in desk to housekeeping, were excellent. Very clean, well-maintained room. I would highly recommend it. We ventured out by foot a few blocks to a street packed with vendors selling groceries and prepared foods--a bit of local culture and a nice retreat from all the super-touristy stuff.

Pleasant hotel in middle of Suzhou

The hotel was just okay. The floor of my room had a strange smell. I was upgraded to club room status but that experience wasn't great. They insisted on helping me, but they never got my order correct. Then during breakfast I found all the hot food cold. Somehow all the heating plates were not turned on. They need to better train their staff.

If you want top service...this is it!

It all started when the taxi pulled up and the manager was there to open the door and greet us. He walked us to the check in counter and from there it was perfect! Even the Ayi's were amazing. Taxis were available to take us wherever we wanted. Concierge on hand with maps and explanation of tourist sites. Breakfast was amazing! Everything Western to Chinese! Staff were there to greet us every time we got out of a taxi or the elevator. State of the art fitness equipment with TV built in to each machine (English channels available) and the spa and pool area were amazing. If you don't stay here while in Suzhou, you are missing out! Very affordable too! Italian restaurant is amazing with top notch service.

Excellent Hotel

Marriott Suzhou is undoubtedly one of the best hotels i have ever stayed. The staff are friendly and helpful, greeting you and smiling all the time. The room is adequately big and comfortable, room service ensure that your room is in good condition each day, facilities were nice and always staffed. The only downside was that they did not provide the shuttle as promised in brochure, even though they did end up calling a cab that i had to pay myself. And the the frontdesk staff also did not registered points for my Marriott Reward despite providing them the account. All these asides, i am giving the hotel an excellent ratings for its service and facilities.

Business in Suzhou

The hotel is relatively new and as such in good condition. Even though it was new, the rooms already had some stains on the carpet. Overall the room was very good and the bathroom was clean.

Not too bad - taxi can be difficult

One of the best stays overseas!

First and foremost, what a wonderful hotel! The lobby is immaculate and very comfortable to meeting clients and friends. Loved the gym and the swimming pool! Very nice and clean locker room. The hotel is practically brand new. The Italian resturant reminded me of Italy! The GM even greeted me in the lobby. Very warm and friendly! Highly recommend it.

Great place to stay. Awesome breakfast.

Very nice hotel with great breakfast. Huge Bathroom was a plus. And very affordable. A little sucky part is that there is nothing to eat after 9 pm.

Awkward moment

The Marriot Suzhou is at a quiet area away from commercial area. You need to take a taxi to the close by shopping areas and tourist attraction. Other than this, the stay in Marriot Suzhou can be considered as perfect. Check in was a bit disappointing. The staff handling the check in was probably not trained properly. She informed that all is done and passed us the room key to go to our room. While walking to the lift, she suddenly rushed to us to tell us to make payment for the stay first. Strange and awkward indeed.

非常滿意的一次住宿、房價合理、服務非常貼心。我太太遺留一條圍巾、酒店第一時間幫忙寄回來、隔天便收到了。非常感激及印象深刻、下次到蘇州一定会再次入住這間十分好的酒店。

エレベーターの駆動音のような壁の向こうからの騒音があり不快だった。ホテルの徒歩圏内に食事、買い物、観光スポットなし。蘇州は地下鉄路線も少なく、道路は渋滞するので、目的地に近いホテルを選択すべし。

just so so

作为一个价格靠近1000的宾馆，我以为智能马桶，淋浴设备，一次性用品这些肯定是很不错的，结果并没有智能马桶，喷头也堵水了，导致喷水的力度和水量很不平均，一次性牙刷刷了几下还掉了几根毛出来。这就让我很失望了。 不过服务态度的确不错，景观也很好，早餐选择也很多，床垫也是真的很舒服。

One of rare modern hotel in gusu area. It is convenient and has friendly staff. Very nice stay.

위치, 청결함, 조식 등 모든 부분에서 숙박하기에 좋았습니다. 다만, 약간 큰 소음은 옆방에 들릴 수 있는 부분이 있어 옆방에 아이를 동반한 가족이 숙박하거나 코골이가 심한 사람이 숙박하고 있을 경우 다소 시끄러울 수 있으니 소리에 민감하신 분들은 로비에 문의하시면 됩니다.

仕事で一泊しましたが、部屋も広々、とても快適に過ごせました。朝食も中華から洋食まで豊富で美味しく頂けました。日本語を話すスタッフはいませんが英語も上手く、観光地への行き方なども親切に教えてくれました。タクシーを呼ぶ案内に置いてあるホテルカード(名刺のような)の裏には観光地の場所が書いてあり、そこをチェックしてドライバーに渡せば、言葉が通じなくても連れて行ってもらえて便利です。、
