The staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. I went straight to the hotel after my arrival in Hanoi. It was 11:30 am, so I was just trying to store my luggage until it was time to check-in which is at 2, but they were able to let us check-in at 11:30 am which was amazing. The room was also clean.

Excellent mid range hotel in quiet area

Room was spacious and clean. Easy access and friendly reception.

I would give more than five stars if it allowable. I forgot all my passport and documents in the safe and walked out of hotel after checked out. Hotel associates contacted me to my cellphone then inform me that my passport and other document were found and are ready pickup at front desk, I am really appreciated their excellent customer services.

Excellent services

Staff pleasant. Rooms comfortable and good size. Did not eat any food or drink at the hotel. Male member of staff at check in not as warm and welcoming as expected. Sauna: water in wooden bowl very dirty. I had to clean very well wooden bowl and spoon before using, they need replacing. Remember to ask housekeeping to clean the fitness area including sauna and steam room. I would stay at this hotel again.

Easy to sleep

the best part was their breakfast.. they made fresh juices of many kinds to order!

Rates is reasonable and staff is friendly. Location is convenient.

The hotel has a great location. It is very clean, very comfortable, quiet and has a good restaurant with a very large breakfast buffet. Excellent place to stay.

Nice hotel in a quiet neighbourhood

The hotel, staff, food are all excellent. However if you are looking for city lifestyle it’s not the place. It’s a bit out of the city (15 mins drive) and a short distance (driving, not walking) from the Omd Quarter

Dissapointed..

Too far from main city....hide inside a small road. Room are old....not worth paying for it...

My Night in Hanoi

Small room, very tight getting in and out room; had to squeeze into bathroom just to get my catty-on suitcase through the door. Bartenders at bar could not make a Manhattan cocktail drink.

Nice hotel just outside the centre

I enjoyed my stay, but was shocked when they demanded 1000 Rm from me as a deposit. Breakfast was very good a good variety of food and restaurant also offered a good range of dishes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Do not use the mini bar, very expensive.

Good, comfortable stay

A very comfortable stay. Good vegetarian breakfast and meal options. The staff in the restaurant appeared clearly overwhelmed attending to the guests during breakfast (particularly at the coffee station), though the numbers seemed easily manageable. The staff tried their best to be helpful but their poor communication skills probably made things more difficult. Guess it would be easier for both the hotel staff and the guests, if they could just post the instructions for operating the coffee maker by the side of the appliance.

3 days 2 nights very happy

Breakfast is delicious, had a free room upgrade with access to the lounge at night for food and drinks with exceptional service. Very friendly and thoughtful staff. It was my girlfriends birthday and upon request they put a surprise cake in the room with no added charges - very happy trip.

Rooms a little tired, food good, staff good. WIFI not so good ,couldn't get emails to send.

Clean hotel, south of Opera House, pleasant

The hotel is nice and the rooms are modern and clean with quality mattress. Check-in was difficult because they did not have our Expedia reservation even though I had a confirmation number. So it took awhile to correct. The buffet breakfast is nice and the hotel is easy to locate for taxis and is on a nice, open street.

We were treated like Royalty

I have absolutely nothing at all bad to say and everything positive to say about my stay. The staff is out of this world amazing. The level of support and attention is worthy of making this a five-star Hotel. The area which of the hotel is located probably makes it 4 stars as the area is not full of tourist. The breakfast is out of this world! This was not my first day and if I ever come to Hanoi again it will not be my last. I have booked the club room. Please don't ever feel that the food there is limited. It's one of those places where what you see is not what you get. All you have to do is ask. That's what we did we asked about things that we didn't see and like magic they made those things appear. It was a truly amazing experience.

Was a great stay

I have stayed in many star hotels but I have never seen such a neat and clean place like this hotel it's really nice place

Friendly staff

Hotel was nice and close to the city centre.Hotel staff was very friendly even with little English they were so helpful. Everything was clean in the hotel room but unfortunately there is some kind of old smell which is getting used to it :)

Nice place to stay

It is a very comfortable hotel, close to attractions and includes good breakfast. My only issue was the cost of laundry. They charge by the item so our laundry bill for 8 items was ridiculous. Some hotels charge by the kilogram, which is reasonable.

Service needs work!

Having booked a non-smoking room, we arrived and were put into a smoking room. This was despite the night manager confirming we had a non-smoking room. We were then made to feel guilty for him having to rectify this. In addition, the tours from the hotel were double the price of booking elsewhere. The location is fairly central, but still out of the way and the service generally not on a par with other Vietnamese properties we stayed at.

Excellent hotel with value for money

The hotel offers value for money. Suitable for business and holiday trip. The room is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast offers superb variety of food. The local dish "pho" was served everyday which is great. The front desk service was also wonderful with quick check in and check out. I would stay here again for my next trip.

Just nice!

Stayed one night for my business trip and overall rating for the hotel is good. Friendly reception staff and given warm welcomed. Room not too big not too small which I found just nice.

A short stop in Hanoi

Let's face it, hanoi is a very busy city, 24/7. Still you want to stay as close to downtown as possible to be able to reach the highlights of Hanoi. This hotel is located approximately 20 minutes of walk from the old quarters, where most of the action is. It is located on a calmer street. The service is outstanding, and helping us arrange pickup and drive to the airport and provide us with information. The breakfast was good, both Vietnamese and western. There is wifi on the room, but sometimes a bit slow. Would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel but far from old quarter

This is a very nice hotel. But it was not near the old quarter. If you like quiet, you will find it in this hotel. But be prepared to take the cab every day if you want to go to the old quarter.

Too Short A Stay

We had less than 24 hours here. Check-in was immediate and gracious. Room good. Breakfast good. Neighborhood fun and colorful with good restaurants.

Just another OK hotel

Nothing much to be impressed. It looks quite old and need some works. Front desk staff were friendly and check-in went very smoothly with greeting. I think walls are not thick enough or not soundproof. I heard coughing from next room all night long and people are talking whenever they passed in front of my room, so it was quite noisy all night. I couldn't find almost anything around the hotel, no mini shop, convenience store, nice restaurant... so if you plan to arrive at night, just be aware that you won't find any shops in walking distance open till late.

Great Location

Very good stay at Sunway Hotel Hanoi. The rooms were comfortable and had all mod cons needed. Beware - double check that your safe is locked before leaving the hotel. Once we left the hotel and the safe hadn't locked properly- so just check twice!

Lovely hotel

Staff were great, room lovely with great views, welcome drink and fruit much appreciated. Breakfast great and location only a few minutes taxi to all attractions. Good comfy beds a plus.

Hanoi fair hotel

The front desk staff gave us wrong information about the open hours on one of the a top tourist sites. Good money exchange at the desk. The buffet food looked beautiful but was fair. The cooked dishes were not exciting and they had the same breakfast with only a slight variation for the 3 breakfasts that I ate. The hotel seems mainly a tour operators destination for large group tours of North Americans and Europeans.

within the city center

Check-in and out was an ease thanks to friendly and helpfull hotel staff. The room well lighted and clean. Matress and room was regularly kept clean for my whole stay. Breakfast was served daily at the restaurant. Abundant choices of Asian and Western food. Will recommend to friends.

A gem in Hanoi

Very clean hotel, very good service, modest but extremely comfortable little hotel. Only criticism is there are only two lifts, they are small & slow and often full at meal, check in, check out times.

Fantastic Hotel, Highly Recommended!

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and would certainly stay here again! My partner and I stayed for 5 nights. The staff at the Sunway are extremely friendly and helpful. Staff assisted us with booking tours, providing directions and making local calls which we were unable to make ourselves due to the language barrier. Service was always provided with a smile. The hotel room itself was very clean, and the bed and pillows extremely comfortable. The hotel also provided various services which included free dry-cleaning of up to 3 items per day, free water and snacks, which were nice. The breakfast buffet was most delicious, as was dinner which was excellent value for money and included a great range. They also offered a good range of English language TV channels.

Good hotel with excellent breakfast/dinner

Rooms are quite big and well furnished; the hotel has an excellent breakfast buffet (Western and Asia) as well as very good dinner. Stay was very comfortable and can be recommended to everyone.

Great experience

For the price you can not beat this hotel, the rooms are very clean, the staff is very helpful and people at front desk speak english well. the breakfast is really good. The location is very central to shopping and eating.

Recently we just back from our 1st trip to Hanoi. We stayed at the Sunway Hanoi hotel as it was recommended by my friends and we read some of the reviews beforehand. It’s located in a great location right in the city but also near some trendy shops around hotel. It is clean and as everyone has said in the reviews the staffs are just fantastic. The staff was so Efficient, sincere. The breakfast was good especially the breads and Vietnamese mee soup noodle. If they have a lot of guests ordered the Vietnamese mee soup noodle at the same time then it may take a bit longer to get your Vietnamese mee soup noodle but its delicious when it delivered. The rooms are spotless and the facilities are good such as gym room, stem, spa and etc. It’s good for us to have a free services gym room. All our plans worked out perfectly from getting picked up at the airport, to having our trips arranged. It’s the staff that really made our stay special. Hope other travelers will like this hotel as much as we did.

Excellent..

It really was pretty good value for the money we paid. Whilst we didn't get a look at the superior (standard) room that we initially booked, it would probably have been on the medium side. The rooms have flat windows and through the window, we can view the street. But the rooms were quiet so we didn't hear any street noise at all. The breakfast was good. We had nothing to complain about. We have stayed in many different level hotels from top end to no star and never have I received the sort of treatment that we had been given by the staff of this hotel.

buona permanenza, personale molto gentile e servizievole. Unica cosa da ridire, la camera non aveva una poltrona o divano, lo spazio per quelli era lasciato vuoto. In ogni caso, se guardiamo il prezzo, veramente conveniente, non si puo' proprio chiedere di piu', vista l'esperienza molto buona del soggiorno

設備が古い、リノベーションは必要

ホテルがきれいでよかった。

シャワーが古いですが、他は問題なし。

ハノイ出張時には比較的利用している。コストパフォーマンスが良いし、スタッフもある程度教育されている。

旅行者にはあまり良い位置ではないと思うが、朝食が良く、また利用したいと思う。

施設自体は古いが、清掃は行き届いているので、滞在には問題ない。

Muy buen hotel

Es un muy buen hotel. Un poco alejado pero con taxi o tuc tuc llegas a todos lados. Él área es muy tranquila. El desayuno muy bueno...solo no hay ventilación y te llenas de olor a la mañana. Todo el personal muy amable.

Totally good hotel

The stuff at the checking was not good, but other person were good. The room is clean and comfortable. There is not supermarket near the hotel.
