Good location

Comfortable night sleep. Clean bedroom and bathroom

This place should not be advertised as a hotel. It is a dilapidated, archaic, dorm- room style place. Suitable for people who are skilled in self defense as the room I was shown was not secure at all. It was located at the back of the premises and had a rusty old lock on it. The people who operate this facility should be ashamed of themselves for advertising this place online. We could not stay there and lost all the money we paid for three nights.

I chose this property because of the price. I was disappointed. I'm glad I only booked 1 night.

Nice & relaxing location

My room was reserved on the 03 of December to be checked in on 22 December 2024. On arrival, I was informed that I didn’t have a reservation.

Clean and breakfast wss good. Staff friendly and courteous.

Will definitely stay there again

The staff were really nice, however the kitchen area in the room was insufficient and no rags or cloths provided to wipe after using. Wifi was also poor.

No remote for the AC. Very hard pillows. Fridge not plugged in.

Did not like the smell of the room

It was a great little place for the price. Room was okay and the place was nice. The only thing was I had to kill a cockroach in the bathroom. But breakfast was nice, hot and to die for.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night. The room was clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I appreciate that we were accommodated for early check in due to a function that we had to attend. Breakfast was ok. Overall a good choice for an overnight stay or for a few days.

If your looking for somewhere just to spend the night.don’t get me wrong staffs was nice after all and the hotel was clean , it just need to be renovated in some how . I was a bit upset the first night but I was gone for the day , it was only for the sleeping 😴.

My stay was comfortable. The surrounding areas were quiet and the room was clean. The only issue I noticed was that the toilet was not properly secured to the floor, but I forgot to notify them before leaving.

The property looks good from the outside. The room was dirty the furniture was old and in bad condition. The washroom was disgusting I wouldn’t even make my dog stay there.i was so so hurt I cried and checked out first thing in the morning. One positive thing the staff were friendly and the manager understood what I was going through and gave me a refund

The breakfast is no good. Toilets clogged, Ants, microwave have to be requested and has a loud disturbing noise. The staff was very good pleasant.

Extremely disappointing - No iron, no microwave very basic. - Firstly, the property advised that they will not honor the reservation because of the demand for the period I was scheduled to travel. However, fantastic, my reservation was not canceled. - Secondly, despite the picture of breakfast being misleading, there was not a microwave or offering of food available on the property. - Thirdly, I asked for a kettle. Staff responded, "I can give you some hot water. I can warm some in a cup in our microwave. Do you have a cup. - Strangely, upon my arrival, I was asked to wait until the following day for checking services because only the owner could handle the accounting. Staff was very ineffective with service provision and know how on accommodating guests. Therefore, based on the lack of basic amenities, the willingness for the property to not honor reservations due to possible demands of last minute travels and to benefit from charging an more per night for the accommodation I would recommend that you and future travelers skip this option. If you only desire a bed a place to shower, feel comfortable booking to stay with this property. However, if you are needing or wanting ANYTHING more, skip staying at Sunset Inn Hotel of Kingston, Saint Andrew, Jamaica.

The entrance was always locked, takes time for the staff to go and open it. Not good deal for the price and what you get. Old property and precarious.

The first room was dirty , ants was all over the bed and bathroom . I booked a two bed room got one full bed the agent said they were sold out . The next night the agent was a bit more friendly but the room was terrible . Would not stay there again .

A lovely welcoming stay!

The lady on the desk was really welcoming. She had a lovely manner. The other staff were accommodating. We felt safe. It was good that there was a fridge where foods and snacks were on sale. Breakfast was good and was delivered to the room on time. There was a telephone in the room so we could communicate with them.

I'm glad for the opportunity to give my opinion. The entire staff that I met were very courteous and my opinion of the place stops there. Because delays in Flight and car rental, I got to Sunset Inn at 9:00pm. First, there were record of my reservation. I had to dick up my printed record and my phone confirmation. Then my room was not what I requested. I rested and paid for two beds. I was so tired I settled and went to bed. Two days before my time was up I back at 4.00pm and my room was not cleaned. I figured, because I was staying longer than the rest of customer, I wasn't the highest priority. But when I returned later in the night nothing was done. No soap to shower with and the garbage baskets were not emptied. My recommendation is, for the price, a one night stay yes. If more than two or three days check out somewhere else.

Good Service

Comfortable stay. Good nights rest but mattress has a sink so pain in back when getting ready to rise from bed.

The place is needed of repairs and upgrades when i laid in the bed this was what i saw on the ceiling. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Great customer service at check in. Very basic hotel but in fabulous location. It was ok for a night or 2.

It was a good stay it had a nice room and amenities. The shower was leaking and that was the only complaint i had.

The room was disappointing. The ac unit made alot of noise. The place could be cleaner. There was a lizard in the cupboard in the room. The pillows were very hard. Overall it wasnt my best stay.

Infested hotel

This hotel has a great location but that’s about it. We booked a 2 night stay and we could not endure the first night we left before 6am. In our room Our luggages and toddler shoe was attacked by a swarm of roaches. We could not tell where they were coming from but they were all over over stuff. We had to start using our shoe to kill roaches instead of getting sleep. When we could have overlooked the old discolored sheets the dated room, dirty and smelling curtain, no towel in the bathroom and a random red used bath rug the infestation was a deal breaker. This hotel should not host anyone. Seems like its a hotel for the shady kind and nothing to host any half decent person. Anyone interested to stay here I recommend spend a bit more and stay somewhere else. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I think any good review for this hotel must be fake.

staff and location

Breakfast was good. The staff especially Nichole was very attentive and provided excellent service.

We loved the energy and efficiency of the staff. Nichole was the work horse of the group. She did a excellent job in providing for our needs.

Like everything about sunset inn hotel and would go back

This Property is not a hotel and should not be listed as such. It does not have any basic amenities (Restaurant, bar . etc) and it was vastly overpriced for what it offers. On two occasions, the housekeeping staff came to my room after 5:00 pm, asking me if I did not need "room service". At that time, with no bar or restaurant or pool to pass the time by, it made no sense. The location of the hotel also was not conducive with talking a lat evening walk while the room is cleaned.

The staff at the hotel served my breakfast at the time i requested and also called me a taxi cab at the time i requested. The staff was also helpful with my bags in loading them in the taxi.

The staff were very professional and friendly,the supervisor she was the best,I have been staying there for 4 yes now two times per,,I wouldn't want to go nowhere else to stay,I feel like I'm at home,

Convenient location. Easy access to New Kingston. Need more amenities like a bar and iron in each room.

It would be nice to have amenities, but the staff is very helpful . It would be nice to have restaurants close by or have a restaurant in the hotel.
