Food and restaurant choice was excellent. Cleaning was first class and all staff were friendly and efficient. Beach and grounds were clean and well kept. The pools were very clean.

Very lovely place. Gut personnel. Hotel is not new, but we had very good impression. Good system with sunbeds - they give you a reservation for sunbed while you are staying.

Amazing stay

Amazing hotel right on the beach. Spacious clean rooms. Lovely free breakfast. Very very good location for centre of town. Allocated sunbed for whole of stay is a great idea. Although we didnt like the position of our first sunbeds they moved us when a better one became available

Luxurious

Came here over 20 years ago and came back to see if same as before. Even better now. Staff, food, hotel, beach location all so good. Shame have to leave. Recommend highly.

It has been a great anniversary stay for years. The facilities are good. The breakfast is good. The people are nice. The neighborhood is nice. The beach access is great. All around it’s a great stay for a great price.

The personal treatment you got from all the staff smiling all day. Maria in front desk was an Angel! Sun lounger men were brilliant nothing was too much trouble

The beach in front of hotel is really nice. Breakfast is decent. Rooms are basic. Dinner buffet was average.

Great Beach Hotel in Protaras

Wonderful beach hotel. Our room was quite large and super-comfortable. Breakfast was very substantial, a huge selection of freshly cooked hot dishes and lots of different breads, cakes cold cuts, cheeses and fresh veggies. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, the reception desk, the servers,cleaners and pool crew. So,Sunrise Beach, thanks for a wonderful week! We’ll be back👍😊

Love the location!

Sun bed reservation system is a game changer. Brilliant idea. The hotel is spotless, staff are extremely polite friendly & helpful. The hotel is in a fantastic location on the beachfront. Dining options are fab.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy. The food at breakfast had a lot of selection it was very tasty. The beach was so close it was great. Once a day they bring frozen hand towels around the hotel sun beds, that was a nice touch when it was hot! The hotel was very close to all restaurants pubs and shops. I highly recommend this hotel I would visit again :)

Great location and amazing hotel sunbed area and bar. Yiannis who runs the bar is the heart of the hotel. Staff is friendly and always willing to help

Great Beach Hotel

Wonderful stay at this beach side resort. Our room was super comfortable with a great view. The excellent beach was just a few steps away with plenty of sun beds available for the hotel guests. Breakfast was good with lots of variety. We ate at some of the hotel restaurants and were really pleased, food was great and there was good value for money. The staff were super friendly and helpful. All in all , very satisfied and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Hotel personnel wearing masks indoors but no guest wearing a mask - very annoying in elevators and breakfast buffet.

Really restful week spent at this hotel in mid July. Hotel was busy but staff generally coped really well. Breakfast was good and service in restaurants was always polite and friendly. Staff always made an effort to be helpful. Special mention to Yiannis and his team at the Odysseas beach bar, the breakfast team and the evening buffet - inventive and really good on all 3 nights we ate there. Housekeeping staff were great. Very accommodating regarding timings. Our room was great - family junior suite gave just enough privacy for us and our 13-yo daughter to feel we each had a bit of space. The storage was brilliant. Nice bathroom and pleased to see big refillable bottles of shampoo and shower gel. Huge balcony overlooking the pool and sea was lovely too. Could be improved with some comfy lounging furniture rather than 4 basic chairs and coffee table. And a retractable awning or parasol would be nice too. Where the hotel needs a bit of work is the sunbeds and umbrellas. Sunbeds need upgrading (most neighbouring hotels had nice wooden loungers with thick mattresses). Definitely more parasols needed and existing ones need replacing. They need to somehow create more shaded options as the heat can be unbearable at times. Didn’t use any of the pools but the adult pool looked lovely. Family pool was nice too. An awning would be nice over the baby pool. Indoor games room a good idea but needs refurbishing. But overall really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back!

Great hotel, perfect location, great room, easy access to amazing beach. There was an awful smell in the swimming pool, like a swamp. other than that, perfect place.

Amazing service and people

First up service is truly amazing friendly efficient all staff make you feel so welcome - Justine Yannis Charlotte are the ones we remember and reception staff could t be more helpful and kind. Second the place is so clean tidied all the time and it felt so well looked after. The idea of choosing and keeping your own sunned is fantastic - no hunting for beds each day. Bed was really comfy but the room decor a little basic. Restaurants all good just if you go in full board please book your tables on the first night as they go quickly. Pool and bars all great and the beech and sea is great. The spa next door is very up market but again book early - or there are massages in the beech which are really good.

We have been here before and loved it then. Godd hotel, great food and excellent service. The sun bed allocation is a massive bonus allowing you to relax and not worry about getting a space. Really enjoyed our stay

The stay here was wonderful. The receptionist Maria was helpful and attentive. At breakfast the waiter Aggelos and Mr. Andreas were always asking us if we needed anything and constantly on top of us. The only person that we dealt with that was rude and obnoxious was the pool guy George who was in charge of the cabanas.

Super super super good and nice hotel. Stuff , service, food and accommodations are very good and above all the sandy beach is awesome.

Our room must have the worst view from the balcony in the hotel it looked onto a blank wall to the right then below onto a large expanse of dirty roof and directly below a passageway full of rubbish and ventilation system I assume for the kitchen ,there were bats flying out from behind this at dusk. Our room was number 139 ,we did complain but were told that Expedia had booked non sea view rooms

Lovely resort in my favorite part of the world

Sunrise Beach Hotel was just lovely! Recommended by relatives who stayed with us for 5 days. Great location and food. Staff welcomed us so nicely and I even received a bottle of champagne on my birthday! Our corner suite was not cheap but was worth every penny! Two balconies and a lovely full window overlooking the beach. The sinks in the bathroom were nice for washing out clothes. Would like to have had a refrigerator for keeping items cold as the mini-bar was almost full and we were reminded not to take items out. I was able to move things around to accommodate my bottled water. Would definitely stay there again.

Upon arrival we asked if there were any one bedroomed rooms left as we had booked a few days earlier and there were none available. The reception staff were amazing and not only managed to get us an upgrade to a bedroom, but a free upgrade to a huge suit with garden and pool. It was amazing Thank you so much

I asked and paid for a sea view room for 3 nights At check in I was told they could not offer me a sea view room on the first night They did immediately offer a € 30 credit for that night which was the actual difference between Sea View and partial sea View They did move us to a sea view room on the next day Only other negative was the size of the tv Was too small for a 4 star hotel

PANORAMIC SEA VIEW SUITE Stay

Stayed in a PANORAMIC SEA VIEW SUITE, and while it is not a suite (just a room), has VERY paltry storage, and in general needs an update, the views are VERY beautiful and are not done justice by any photos online. We found all the staff very helpful and sweet. We didn't eat much at the hotel, but what we did was fine. While the hotel is right on the beach, chairs ON THE BEACH are not included, and cost an additional €10 per chair per day. Worse, there is no beach service either through the hotel or passing vendors.

Wonderful Staff, Fantastic Views

I have stayed in supposedly higher class hotels than this but I have never received better service. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and could not do enough for us. Booked a standard room B&B for four nights as we were attending a wedding. When we checked in we were told we had been upgraded to half board as there was some building work being carried out which could be viewed from our room. There was no noise from the building work unless you opened the door to sit on the balcony, even then it was not loud, so the evening meals were undoubtedly a bonus. Food quality was good. All the staff from the reception, who gave us free batteries for our camera when they ran out half way through the wedding, to the cleaning staff were excellent. Location of the hotel was ideal (although Protaras was far more touristy than where we would normally go on holiday) with access directly on to the beach and a short walk to all the shops and bars. The allocation of sunbeds on arrival was a great idea with beach towels provided each day. The only fault I can think of was that one of the lifts seemed to be frequently out of order and therefore on occasion there was quite a wait for the lift. Overall this was the best hotel experience I have ever had and we will return one day to re-live the experience.

Nice but noisy

If you want a beach holiday then this is the place to go. Nice beaches, well maintained hotel. Staff behaviour ranged from rude to very helpful. We have been there beginning of October, which we suspect is off-season. Given the number and sizes of fairly unimpressive bars and restaurants nearby we would avoid it at all costs during high-season. Even in October the noise and music from nearby bars late in the night was annoying even with soundproof doors shut. It is also a bit remote if you plan to see a lot of Cyprus.

Good Location

Good location on beach and close to restaurants. Sunbed allocation was nice, but pay attention to where, if you want to avoid having one in the shade all afternoon. Breakfast was also good, did not try other meals. Prefer to eat out in the evening and choose our own time. Had to change room as initially we had one with adjoining door and screaming kids next door, which was unbearable. Ended up paying to upgrade to seaview, but was worth it (for peace and quiet).

Excellent friendly hotel

hired a car at the airport and found it a very easy drive to the hotel. free car parking available. reception light and airy and staff very friendly and approachable with a positive can do attitude! room very clean and larger than expected with all mod cons - they will either stock a mini bar or hire you an empty fridge which is great to come back to a cold drink! satellite tv also available. pool area large and well organised with a system for sunbed allocation so you have the same bed every day at whatever time you get there - so no need to dash down at 7am to get a good spot!! hotel is located very central to all the restaurants and bars and is also located right on the beach. the beach bars are scarce by the hotel but a 5 minute walk takes you to fig tree bay where there are plenty of beach bars. on the whole a great resort a great holiday and a superb hotel!!
