No turn down service which was disappointing.
I booked several rooms, my room seemed to have water pressure issues, I had no hot water running from the taps or shower, I reported it, nothing was done. A friend shower door fell off its hinges onto her. They added additional drinks on to the rooms, which they did take off when we said, but did try and charge for one room even though I had already paid! Not great service, I asked to be contacted when the relevant person came on duty - I’m still waiting!
Style over substance. Beware of the building site.
Our room was aesthetically lovely but the plumbing was problematic - hot water kept switching off, which led to lukewarm showers and a cold hand wash after using the loo - and a combination of noise from the room above due to very poor soundproofing and the building site opposite (despite the hotel assuring me that it would be closed at the weekend) made for a really disappointing stay.
The staff was absolutely lovely. The room really nice. We purchased breakfast for our suite and it was yummy. We got free early check in and purchased late check out. Would happily return without hesitation.
Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable
Glorious room the suite was huge and well designed incredibly quiet considering the nearby building site
Beautiful hotel, we didn’t want to leave! Look forward to our next visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
No turn down service and room not made up at all next day.
Absolutely fabulous
What a lovely hotel. Decor, furnishings and fittings are beautiful. Staff and service were excellent. Room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and beautifully appointed. Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thanks!
This is a great boutique hotel. Quiet rooms, comfy beds, stylish decor. Several dining options at the hotel (bar, back patio, restaurant, room service). Food was exceptionally good.
All was great but bed too soft and not enough storage space in room
This location was perfect! They decorated the room for my birthday. Everything about the staff and location was what I envisioned for my stay in London. Will definitely come again when I visit next month!
Quaint and nicely designed. If you’re looking for a quiet visit and looking to stay on the east side of London I’d recommend. I was a solo traveler and wish the hotel was a tad more lively but overall a good stay.
Labor Day stay
Great hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast. I prefer a fuller pillow but that is the only thing I could find that wasn’t perfect and that is based on my preference. Excellent value, cool decor, great location. We will definitely pick this hotel for our next trip to London.
We had the most incredible few nights at Sun Street. We were celebrating my partners birthday and our anniversary as they upgraded us to a suite and decorated the suite with balloons and gave us champagne on arrival. They were the most welcoming hosts and we will definitely be back next time we’re in London. The property was beautiful, clean and close to great shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend it.
Excellent choice for business or pleasure.
Beautiful, intimate boutique hotel that manages to be historic and chic at the same time. Excellent food, service, and mix of spaces for all sizes of gatherings.excellent location for walking or tube access. Highly recommended.
Highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff, beautiful boutique hotel.
Amazing
Excellent Hotel
The front desk staff was amazing and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable!
Beautiful aestetic, great location, great staff and really small beds. 1.33 metres wide. Less than 5 feet. Smallest king bed I’ve ever encountered. I’ve lived in Europe and even by those standards, it’s small. An otherwise delightful hotel. They even moved us to a beautiful suite, with the same tiny ( less than 5 feet across) king bed. I so wish the bed was bigger and it would be our go to in London…
Cold shower
Nice and close to both Shoreditch and Liverpool Street. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Would happily go back if I need to stay in the area
Easy access from LHR to Liverpool Station. Very convenient for business in the city and summer markets.
Hotel with character and class
Staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble; the decor was perfect for the style of the building, the hotel had character and a lovely feel to it. Breakfast was excellent too. I would definitely stay again.
Really lovely hotel - special and a unique find . We will be coming back !
Excellent hotel
Great hotel at a good price for London. Loved all the sitting areas and the decor. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Espectacular, what a gorgeous hotel! Great location! Staff was cool and super nice! Definitely one of my favorites!
Sumptuous and decadent. Staff are fabulous and Rooms and decor are amazing.
love the sun street hotel
loved the staff, the hotel was super charming. Food was amazing, especially dinner. Great location to the tube station
Great business stopover
Peace and quiet, dreamy beds and friendly, attentive staff.
Excellent Hotel with great staff & well located.
What a fantastic hotel. Loved it. From the glass of champagne on arrival to the quality of the rooms it was great. Can’t fault it really. 👍👍
Loved it!
The hotel had everything we wanted and a little bit more. Great location - all transport around town via close by Liverpool Street and lots of great pubs/restaurants nearby in Spitalfields. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and our room was really comfortable. We were amazed how quiet it was too. Not a budget hotel but for what we got we felt it was really good value for money. Genuinely would highly recommend for a stay in London.
Beautiful hotel..... great staff....spotlessly clean.... cooked breakfast was a little disappointing but still all round a lovely stay .
Everything great, nothing bad
Couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Always a smiling helpful person at the desk. Room couldn't have been more comfortable. Great bed, lovely bathroom. The location couldn't have been better. Easy access to my assignment, easy access to the tube station for the trip back and forth to Heathrow. Loved this place.
Very comfortable hotel with beautiful rooms and excellent service.
Great hotel in b/w the city and shoreditch. Comfortable with a great space on the ground floor to spread out. Quality beds and accessories. Great staff. Only complaint is the room desk and desk chair were uncomfortable. If you need to work in your room, it's not ideal for long periods of time. However, there is ample comfortable space throughout the ground level floor in a very cozy setting.
I checked in after a very long travel day and was received graciously at the front desk. The hotel is a boutique location as I expected. What I did not expect is an entirely inconvenient and encompassing constructionist zone in the area. This is beyond the hotel's control, I understand. When I checked in I was offered a glass of prosseco (a nice welcoming touch) and my room was confirmed by the staff at the desk as "Premium King Room". When I arrived in the room I found it was absolutely *NOT* a King room. The bed was actually a true FULL size bed (not even Queen-size). It certainly would have been difficult for two people who were not smaller stature expecting a King bed. Moreover, the entire room was, without any exaggeration, only 3 feet on a side larger than the bed in all directions. It was cramped and dark. The lighting was entirely inadequate and my luggage had to be set against the wall remaining in the way. I had made reservations at the hotel restaurant, which had good reviews. The plating and service, as well as the atmosphere was very nice indeed. The food however was utterly bland. Not up to par for a 5-star rating. I retired for the evening and before going to bed made reservations at another well known 5-star hotel for my remaining two nights in London. In the morning after a satisfactory breakfast at the hotel restaurant, I checked out. I told the staff at the desk that I wa leaving and would like to arrange refund for the two nights I would not be staying.
Very nice boutique hotel in a great location.
Lovely hotel. Staff was fantastic checking us in 3 hours early and cleaning the room each day even when not explicitly asked. Very helpful and friendly. Easy to get to from multiple underground lines and walk to Shoreditch spitslfields!
The decor, bed, bathroom and soundproofing were excellent. The service was extremely mediocre and, at times, bad. There was no proactiveness, so surprises that made them standout, not even a welcome when checking in or out (no one cares about answering “how was your stay?”, but it really feels like they don’t care about the quality of your stay when no one asks, and you just stand there awkwardly waiting for them to click on their computer)
Lovely location
Lovely location, clean and easy access to Liverpool St. and Moorgate station and Spitafields, welcoming reception team and friendly throughout.
Property maintenance letting the side down
Potentially excellent hotel, very stylish decor, lovely comfortable rooms, but some maintenance issues and minor quirks. Also there’s currently a building site next door which can be noisy at times.
Firmly recommended
A brilliant stay in what was a lovely hotel with very boutique vibe perfect for our couples break and brilliant for visiting the Shoreditch area. Staff were exceptional, polite and went above and beyond.
A lovely hotel
I was looking for a hotel for a one night stay near the Liverpool Street station and this fit the bill. A lovely little hotel with excellent service. Very comfortable and the on site restaurant was a nice benefit. Would definitely stay there again.
You can hear it all
Not worthy of a 5 star hotel. We went for our honeymoon and most 5 star hotels would go above and beyond to make accommodations and special for you, however this place did not. It would have been nice to be told there is construction next to the building causing the entire room to shake throughout the stay. You can hear everything in the hallway as well. Wouldn’t stay here again.
Great option in heart of City of London
Lovely hotel, great location close to Broadgate/Moorgate, nicely designed, cosy rooms and great breakfast. Staff were all lovely and responsive when things needed to be addresses
Almost, but not quite.
Seems like a new hotel still ironing out the creases - for the money it’s very good value, but don’t expect the full 5 star experience. Tried to organise a surprise for my wife up front, and despite emails saying they could do it for me, it all came to nothing….good job it was a surprise so she was none the wiser. Things like the main lights in the room not working, a complicated aircon system and quilts that would see you all right in the arctic. Has the makings of a lovely hotel, but not quite there…..for the money though is definitely worth a punt.

Despite the building work opposite the hotel, which can’t be helped, the hotel experience wasn’t affected, great soundproofing! Staff were extremely attentive, friendly & professional. Overall, a great experience.
