Cute, well maintained, clean and quiet. Pool was lovely, heated and clean patio area The only thing this lovely place needs is an ice machine. There was ice an ice tray in freezer, but a machine and bucket would be great. Over all a great place to stay!

Beautiful view and great amenities. Only thing is the pull out is not made for 2 people; however, they provided a cot which worked just fine. It is a good deal for the price and what you get.

This place was excellent. It was cozy studio apartment very clean and right on the water. The staff was amazing too they gave me an early check in without even asking. I will be back.

I liked that It was affordable. The bed was comfortable and although small and no balcony i enjoyed sitting at yr gas fire pits couch and enjoying the view of the sound. I would defintely like to rebook a room there next August and possibly stay there for a golf outing I have planned for october. Will look at availibility.

Property was very nice. Juan and Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very nice, clean. Nothin fancy but had refrigerator, stove top, sink etc. Stayed in Room 100 a Studio. Not ocean view but access to Sitting area with view of the ocean with lounge chairs and tables to sit behind hotel. All new!. A few fire pits, but only one was working at the time, which was really no big deal for us. Hotel seemed to have been updated, possibly recently. Pool was nice. Lounge chairs, tables, umbrellas, all looked new. . You cannot enter the ocean/Bay from the hotel, but just down the road you can park and go to the beach. No waves and rocky upon entry but really nice. Great sunset. Great restaurants very nearby, some within walking distance. Take advantage of the Free Hopper shuttle that picks you up by Gosman's, (walking distance) and we'll bring you into town and back. FREE! This runs frequently till 10 pm. You can go to several beaches near town as well with ocean waves. Hidden gem. Overall great place. Would definitely stay again.

Location, service, price

The hotel staff is dishonest and trying to claim that we had more than the allowable people that slept in the room during my stay. This was absolutely false , and I was extremely disappointed that the hotel would try to take advantage of their guests and charge them additional fees on false claims. The fact of the matter was that we had 2 people stop by and visit, then left shortly thereafter. In addition to that they are claiming there is a remote missing that we never had in the room to begin with. Be careful when staying at the Sun N Sound because they certainly will try to take advantage of their guests and charge them additional fees. In addition to this , our toilet had to be unclogged multiple times during our stay. One of the worst experiences I have ever had staying in Montauk.

This location is a hidden gem! Peaceful and relaxing, with the most beautiful sunset views! The location is excellent, located in the Montauk Harbour, in close proximity to the busy downtown area. I can't wait to visit again.

My wife and I went here for our honeymoon and we were blown away. We loved this place and the location so much that we stayed an extra night than we originally intended. We saw seals right out our window! Wild time here, there’s so much to do in this area. Shout out to my guy Juan for keeping it real

The resort is located quite closed to the light house museum and most of the restaurants in town. We stayed 2 nights on the superior studio with a breathtaking view of the ocean. We also managed to do some star gazing at night out in the balcony. The room was quite airy, we had the doors to the balcony and the windows next to the bed opened and the AC is not quite needed. The bathroom was clean. The floor can get wet after showering but it dries up quickly. I was surprised to also find make-up removers (which I have never seen in any hotel/inn/resorts before). The full-sized kitchen was nice (even though we didn't use it at all). The bed was a bit too soft for our liking but overall it was decent. We didn't require any extra services from the staff so I can't comment on that. The only two things that lowered the rating from a perfect 10 to 7/10 is because the floor was a bit dirty (as I like to walk barefoot indoor) and I would like some curtains on the windows. The room was VERY BRIGHT in the morning. I am on vacation and I don't like waking up with the sun when I am on vacation.

Was given room next to office. Very noisy. Pictures misrepresented room I was getting. Very disappointed

Very nice place to spend a few days. Large room with full kitchen and separate bedroom. My only bad Con is wifi service and cell phone service in the area. Hoping Sun n Sound can improve on their wifi service for a next visit; otherwise enjoyed this part of Montauk.

Very nice and clean in perfect location.

The property is clean , conveniently located to town , beach and restaurants. Juan , the maintenance person was amazing , friendly and a pleasure to greet us each morning as I entered the pool. This was our second time staying at Sun and Sound and I would definitely recommend it .

Very disappointing. We did not receive requested towels even after requesting them more than once. You can hear everything from the surrounding rooms, every footstep, toilet flush, and conversation. The hotel really needs to monitor the noise at night. The other people staying at the hotel were very rude and loud, partying and making noise into the early morning hours. We could not sleep properly and it’s unacceptable behavior. We paid extra for an ocean view but apparently people are allowed to hangout on the deck and laugh and scream all night. The rooms and property could use an update. We will not stay here again.

Upon arriving, the room was fairly dirty and also VERY HOT. The AC was running for hours and the room never cooled down. It was like a sauna Upstairs in the loft where the bed was, even hotter than downstairs. The toilet/bathroom had not been cleaned thoroughly. The balcony view was nice, we didn’t complain about anything. Friday night at 11:30, 3 of us came home and got ready for bed. No music or Tv on or anything-but the guy below us came up & told me we were “stampeding” around. I told him I wasn’t sure how we could be any quieter, but that we’d be asleep within 10 min. He also banged on his ceiling multiple times from below. At 6:00, his kids were SCREAMING downstairs and outside for about two straight hours. I decided not to say anything & we even took out the sofa bed early that night so it wouldn’t disturb them if we got home around midnight again. (It’s montauk in the summer. People go out.) we were playing music in our room at 8:30 when I get a call from the front desk. She says she’s gotten a complaint about how loud we are. I immediately agreed to turn the music off even though quiet hours start at TEN PM and it was literally 8:38. She proceeds to tell us that she might have to KICK US OUT OF OUR ROOM AT 3 am. On the first phone call. If we had complained about the family below us, would she have threatened to kick them out at 3am with nowhere to go? Because that’s insane. Why even post quiet hours from 10pm-10am if you’re going to threaten your guests. Terrible

The location was close to everything. Our room was clean. Just didnt know that do it yourself change of sheets/cleaning of apt. But over all we had fun. They have a small pool and full access kitchen. Also enjoyed the sunset will having dinner where we grilled our steak there. They also sent a link to check out but when we went to the office to make sure nobody was there. Theres a lady there too that has been calling them but nobody was in the office.

This property was spectacular. Beautiful and accommodating. The views are breathtaking from the water and you are so close to some of the best seafood spots in Montauk. The only thing that needs an upgrade is the bed. Even if they never upgrade the bed, we will still absolutely come back here. Our new favorite place in Montauk!

Over all our stay was great, perfect for 2 people for the 3 nights we were there. Could the rooms need a fresh coat of paint ? Absolutely they could, was there little things that are over looked that need fixing yes, molding around kitchen cabinets broken, door luck sticks had to get assistance twice to get in room, space around AC unit allows you to see daylight. Skylights there were 2 one had a shade on it the other did not so 8:15 your up like it or not, the sun is in your face. Swimming pool has stains around the bottom drains looks nasty.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean. The location was close to the town. Check in and out was very quick. The pool was sparkling and easy access from our room. We will definitely return.

There was bugs like roaches in the room and we carried them home after we paid so much money.I will have to call the exterminator for my 3 floor home.The first time in 35 years that I see bugs in my house that look like roaches.The same bugs we saw in the hotel we are seeing in my house since we came back

Great Spot

I stayed here for a weekend wedding. Cute place, view of the pool (and the parking lot and the water) had an efficiency kitchen and the loveseat pulled out to a twin bed (that could use a new mattress) but all in all very nice place and well worth the money.

Excellent Montauk weekend

Everything about the place was exceptional, it was expensive but lovely. We had the misfortune of Henri wrecking our Sunday, but still an excellent weekend.

It served its purpose for my stay during the 4th of july weekend. Modernized room, beautiful view overlooking the water and a heated pool, if only the weather was better. Otherwise i would definitely recommend this place.

The rooms are sparkly clean, and the location is fantastic! We stayed two nights at 211 which is a bay view loft, and from the balcony we were able to see the sunrise and sunset on the ocean. The views were breath taking! Also it's nice to have a kitchen especially when traveling with a senior and a child with food allergies. Overall we had a great time and will definitely go back again.

The view from your porch is beautiful but the walls and ceilings are paper thin and you won’t be able to sleep. There’s no one on duty over night so if your drunk neighbors party from sunset to 3 AM or if there’s a break in then good luck you are on your own. This is a noisy place with no amenities and a very uncomfortable mattress. If your goal is to have some rest and peace of mind then go somewhere else.

Perfect location with nice comfortable stay. Only downside was an old fridge but everything else was in great condition. Definitely stay at this hotel again

The room itself was a beautiful room, a little dirty in some areas there were footprints and handprints on the wall next to the bed and the railing from the stairs it was filthy we wiped everything down and went about our day but overall it was a very nice place and I would stay there again for sure 👍

We had a 2 weekday night stay. The reception was pleasant and COVID-19 compliant. There is no daily maid service but can request clean linens through a website sent via text. The room was nicely updated but mattress not so much. It was not very comfortable. The view was beautiful! Our room faced the sound with a deck with table and chairs. I enjoyed watching sunsets while having cocktails every night. Would definitely stay again.

We loved the waterfront patio area the most. Best place for morning coffee and the sunset.

My room was beautiful, the views amazing, location perfect. Receptionist upon arrival treated me terribly, so much, my stress free, kid free, weekend away was heavily tainted. It ruined my weekend. I would never go back just on that problem. Try for upper room as floors are thin and you hear the walking around. No way to address issueS about guests after 5pm, you’re on you own.

It was really nice! staff was soo friendly! It was clean. Wish the heater gave more heat though. Best to go there in the summer time.

We got there at 2:00 Check in was at 4:00 we did not get a room until 5:00. The person at front desk kept saying room guaranteed by 5:00 said nothing else did not apologize nothing.... we get to our room trash bag with trash in it and a dirty rag in front of our door. Coffee maker had sticky stuff on it. We wiped everything down. Otherwise Room was comfortable and it had everything we needed.
