Overnighter after a flight

An overnight after getting into Christchurch just gone midnight. The hotel is an easy walk from the airport.

If you need to be near the airport, this hotel is a FABULOUS location! You can easily walk to it from the airport, it's right next to a bunch of restaurants and also Woollies. It's also right next to the Antarctic Centre, which is a must visit. The hotel is well looked after and staff are excellent. The room is great except for a very impractical bathroom - tiny pedestal sink with no bench top, so extremely limited space to put your stuff on. Layout of open shower area next to sink is also awkward. The new executive wing has a small bench top around the sink and a better shower set up so see if you can get one of those rooms instead (the rest of the room is great, whether the regular or executive style).

Right by the airport - you can safely and easily walk 5 minutes to get from the airport to the hotel. Considering how close the hotel is to the airport we never heard any planes during our two night stay. All the staff were really helpful including helping us find a bus to get into Christchurch. The bus stop was just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel too. Breakfast was also good with cereals, fruit, various breads, and hot breakfast foods. Will stay at this hotel again!

Lavender pillow with Alexa music after a real bath

I asked about a real bath tub and was able to upgrade! I was overjoyed, as water is scarce where I live. Every interaction was with a smile. Warm hospitality. It was fun asking Alexa to play my favourite music. The selection of organic teas, hot chocolate and various coffees was so tasty! I selected the Lavender pillow to try. I very much look forward to returning!

There was an intermittent noise throughout the night. It sounded like running water. I think it was the fridge

We enjoyed our night very much . The room was very comfortable and had great facilities. It was very quiet and after a long haul flight from Indonesia we were happy to have quiet and comfort. We loved being able to make a cup of tea and have a bath. The transport to and from the airport was most welcome. Thank you .

Friendly service

We stayed one night to break up a long drive. The reception area is bright and modern but the rooms are tired with old carpet, chipped paint, and old bathrooms. There was a pair of dirty socks from the previous guest on the floor and the glasses in the bathroom had toothpaste in them. Convenient location near the airport with plenty of free parking, it was fine for a night as linen was clean and beds were comfy.

Sudima new wing (free upgrade) 2 nights

Sudima Christchurch Airport was great. The hotel has two wings & I was given a free upgrade to a large room in the newer wing. Room very clean. Bed had soft mattress & pillows. Nice TV with a very simple to use tv remote. My room also had an Alexa device which made setting a wake up alarm extremely easy. The room swipe card will get you back into the hotel if it's after 11pm.( At both entrances.) And there's also an intercom at the entrances. Very little noise from planes & both wings of the hotel are well back from the road so pretty much zero road noise. It's about a 10 minute walk to the international terminal - just be careful crossing the road! However Sudima does have a free shuttle as well!

Great service, clean and comfortable, highly recommend

I'm new to Sudima accommodation but feel their greatest strength is in who they employ, the staff is so friendly and so helpful they make the whole place shine. We had an average room compared to other places we stayed. It's did have a lovely garden courtyard, where we could sit outside. The room was clean and had everything you need. Will certainly be using Sudima in Auckland as it's better service than others we've stay in.

Let us into our room early, upgraded us, we’re very pleasant

It is our first night at New Zealand after arriving Christchurch. Friendly and professional staff at reception, checkin was smooth. Room was comfortable, shower was adequate. Breakfast was very nice with much of English breakfast and other selections in the buffet. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

All you would expect in an airport hotel. Close to shops and food outlets. The 24hr airport shuttle was appreciated as we had to be at the terminal at 3am.

Nice place, just next to the airport where you can hear the planes taking off. Restaurant looked nice, but we didn't eat. Perfect for us, since we had an early flight the next morning.

The staff were super helpful. We were able to store bags there before our check-in.

What a lovely hotel. Very close to Christchurch Airport and walkable to departures. Lovely clean and smart hotel. Large and comfortable rooms. Lovely beds. Nice restaurant with good food. Not to mention the brilliant robot service!! Love that!! And finally a special thank you to Rinny who helped us in our hour of need sorting out the car rental return to Scotties as they had closed early, not told us and left us in the lurch. Rinny was so helpful. Thank you.

Excellent check in experience with Reception staff assisting with our smooth arrival. Very professional and helpful.

Nice and close to the airport when you arrive in at 12.15am with a free shuttle to the hotel. Very quiet and super comfy bed. Shower pressure was a bit weak. Tea and coffee making for free in the room. Just in for overnight sleep so didn't use any other facilities.

Great location for travellers flying into or out of ChCh. Welcoming despite being ‘busy’ and all amenities available. Staff were hyper friendly and helpful - most especially those doing the ‘invisible’ work.
