Staff here is amazing. Pool was lovely. Breakfast was great. Would stay here again
I stayed at Sudamala Resort in Sanur having travelled to Bali for the first time solo. I could not have felt more at ease and comforted by the staff and the premises. The hotel is well maintained and has an authentic Balinese feel. Would recommend to anyone.
Sudamala is in an ideal location for exploring the Sanur area. Everything is walkable and there are tons of dining options nearby. The breakfast and spa at Sudamala were excellent. I would absolutely stay here again.
Excellent
Excellent and very nice freshly prepared breakfast. Good location too.
Very spacious rooms and super-friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent and had an enjoyable dinner for two at the three monkeys across the road.
Lovely hotel, good location as lots of small shops and restaurants nearby. Very good breakfast
Lovely hotel and beautiful room. The staff were all lovely.
The staff was incredible!!!! So happy and nice!!! The hotel is beautiful
Lovely Oasis
A beautiful facility with attentive and caring staff. The meals were terrific and carefully prepared. I would definitely return here.
It was beautiful and the staff was very kind and helpful
Stunning
Amazing, beautiful resort with spacious luxurious rooms and fantastic service by all staff. Will definitely come back again
Exquisite Indonesian & Balinese aesthetics
I spent 3 nights at Sudamala resort as a solo traveler. My room was spacious, very clean and comfortable including all amenities I needed. What amazed me was the aesthetics of the rooms, the shared spaces of the resort and the paintings decorating every corner of the premises. The resort also holds an art gallery where it hosts exhibitions by multiple artists. Another unique experience for me was that breakfast is accompanied by two musicians playing live Balinese music using traditional musical instruments. I also had the best spa treatment ever - the 90 minutes Ayurvedic shirodhara treatment. The practitioner was exceptional and helped me a lot to relax head tension and overthinking. First she scrubbed my feet, then gave me an Ayurvedic full body massage and finished the treatment by pouring sesame oil to my head using the special shirodhara equipment. It was the most amazing experience I ever had in my life. To the weaknesses of the resort I would mention not soundproof rooms which means during full occupancy of the hotel there is noise you can’t escape. The taps in my bathroom need to be replaced as the cold tap wasn’t functioning ( the technicians had to come three times around 10 p.m to open and close the cold tap) the hot tap didn’t supply hot water just slightly warm. The pillows of the sun beds around the pool need cleaning. I also tried the spaghetti aglio olio by Ares restaurant at the garden but the dish didn’t meet the standards of fine cuisine.
The resort is very tastefully set out, peaceful and quiet. The wonderful friendly, helpful, courteous staff were a joy to behold.
Toilet seat was painted in white to look clean so was a bit uncomfortable to use it and shower is a bit outdated. Other than that everything was perfect. Excellent service great architecture.
Highly recommend for singles and couples.
Very welcoming and friendly staff in all areas. Great breakfast served a la carte. Nicely appointed rooms. Good sized pool. Although not on the beach it is not far away and once there they have their own area. Close to restaurants and supermarket. A fantastic stay and will definitely return.
Excellent hotel, a little off the beaten track and catering for the more discerning crowd. We shared a palatial room that was very affordable. The staff are sensational. Highly recommend if you don’t want the standard intercontinental experience, but something a little more boutique
Lovely ambience
We loved Sudemala suites with its lovely ambiance and attention to detail. The pool area was relaxing, quiet and a good size. Our room was lovely with easy access to the pool and traditional decor. A great location in the quieter part of Sanur and close to beach and eating places.
Elegant
We've stayed here twice now. The place has a nice quiet lovely elegance about it. As soon as you walk off the street the peacefulness is so welcoming. The decor of the rooms, the art work throughout the place, the ceramic lighting and all the fit out is beautiful. The staff are there but not in your face. Even though it was full it seemed like the place was essentially ours.
We only had 1 night at this hotel but would definitely return. Staff were great, room was lovely and spacious and the food in the restaurant was very good. Excellent overall
This is a gorgeous boutique hotel in the heart of Sanur. Amazing staff, beautiful gardens and lovely spacious rooms.
Spacious villa with a beautiful central courtyard and pool. Serene and pristine condition with beautiful artwork, statues and water features. Hotel will leave you with a night time story every night on your bed which is a nice touch. Beach is only a five minute walk from the hotel with plenty of places to dine. The only complaint is if you book including breakfast, they do not include a sweet dish. However the Breakfast is nice with fresh juice served
One night in Sanur
We had one night at Sudamala before an early morning flight. Service was excellent and we loved all the little extra touches like the turn down service and bed time story. The location was great, walkable to the beach and a variety of restaurants and bars. The room itself was pretty good but could use a bit of refresh. And although the door was very beautiful it did not provide much sound proofing to the neighbouring rooster who started up at 3:30am (we unfortunately did not have ear plugs). We would recommend and stay again for longer next time.
The property is lovely. The bed/pillows the most comfortable we’ve had in Bali. The pool is great for lap swimming. Unfortunately, the room was very damp. The bedding feels damp to the touch. Nothing dries. They need dehumidifiers here.
Absolutely loved this hotel. The attention to detail is phenomenal and it’s beautiful everywhere you look. Very comfortable with excellent service. One of my all time favorite hotels!
Beautiful property, comfortable rooms, in a great area close to restaurants and beach/boardwalk.
Highly recommend Sudamala Villas. Price location service and size of rooms made our stay more than we expected. Will stay here next time we’re back in Sanur. Mitch
What’s not to like about this place! Location, staff, facilities and the size of rooms for the price is 5 star. I’ll be back and I’ll be telling all of my friends to stay here too. Best money for value I’ve had in all of Asia to date in 25 yrs of travelling. Thank you. Andrew
Calm and quaint property, well-appointed facilities with pool, spa and restaurant. Beautiful garden. Helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended
Everything about the Sudamala was great! I would definitely recommend!!!
Stunning place and location. Traditional and luxurious. Information from staff not the best ie. Senur harbour boat booking- no ticket, boat name, instructions & do not take anything near monkeys!
Great place to stay. Staff made us feel like family. Absolutely terrific
My mattress is bad, make me backaches since 1st night. They tried to adjust another one. but still not good. i would suggest they buy new ones. Time to improves. And the workers forgot to lock my door after work. I complained to Dayu, Reception Manager. She is helping us to follow up. And offered us a complimentary car to airport on our departure. That's nice. But the mostly important thing is to ensure that we feel safe to stay at this time of Coronavirus outbreak.
Wonderful stay at Sudamala!
I'm so glad we found Sudamala in Sanur. We only stayed for 1 night, unfortunately, and wish we'd had more time. We arranged airport transportation ahead of time via email and were able to get a boxed breakfast for an early morning departure; all requests were seamless and the communication was great. The grounds were quite beautiful and our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
From the absolute wonderful staff, the above average breakfast and dinning experience to the exceptional grounds and beautiful, spacious room, a stay at the Sudamala made you feel like royalty. Very well located and a short 5 minute walk to the beach, staying in this resort was pure delight and pleasure. It doesn't get much better than this.
Unsanitary, mattress pad was filthy on the three rooms I was shown. Blood stains, urine stains, hair on all the bedding
This was our second time staying here. All the staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful and make you feel at home. We had garden suite 313. Spacious room, big bid, open air bathroom. The pool area is beautiful and the pool temperature is tepid and refreshing. We took advantage of the spa every day with different massages and baths. The beach is a 5 minute walk away with chairs and umbrella. If you are looking to de-stress, this is the place for you. Thank you
The staff were excellent and the accommodation was just like the brochure. Wow. Food was fabulous and the bed was so comfortable.
Great location, fantastic staff , beautiful setting would definitely recommend
It was a beautiful place to stay. Affordable and so close to the beach, shops and restaurants. I’ll definitely be back there soon
Clean, grest staff. Good pool service. Excellent breakfast.
Beautiful plants, lovely doors, fabrics, art works, staff uniforms, quiet ambience, very tasteful decor
Sudamala is a beautiful peaceful resort with wonderful employees Big clean rooms, and a good location 💜💜💜
AMAZING hotel, even more AMAZING staff
We’re a Danish couple travelling through Indonesia for 3 weeks. Our stay at the Sudamala is the best we’ve had so far. We wish we could have stayed all three weeks. The staff is beyond amazing. So welcoming, helpful, kind. Words cannot describe. We stayed on a Deluxe Suite Garden View. Big, beautiful, homely. So stylish! Restaurant, pool, spa also amazing. But the staff is what made us have the best experience. Thank you so much. Rasmus and Julia
Great mix of beauty, service and food. The setting is really stunning and we were treated exceptionally well by all staff. Breakfast was of a high quality, just remember to add your own salt (like everywhere in Bali!)
Not very professional staff. Towels were not clean. For some reason I didn't feel the staff truly nice but rather fake nice. I am traveling all around the world and can spot a sincere smile or one that is fake. My first day was supposed to be a special rate since I checked in at 5 am in the morning but it was horrible and negotiating with front desk took place. I had some email communication beforehand but once arrived at was a different game that took place. I forgot an item in the room and never received it back when I returned to pick up.
Very enjoyable stay
Very enjoyable stay with friendly and helpful staff. Great on-site massage and received a welcome room upgrade. Ample provision of sprays and insecticide diffusers to combat the mosquitoes! Had an issue with an item of laundry and the head of laundry services personally delivered the item to our next hotel some distance away in Ubud - great service! Variety of market stalls and restaurants a short walk away. Thoroughly recommend.
A real find near the beach in Sanur
The staff at this lovely hotel are fabulous. So warm and welcoming and very helpful. Great location near to the beach and the beach bars , also the main shopping street.
Great location! Super beautiful, quiet interior courtyard. Enjoyed our on-site spa treatments. Breakfast (granola!) was lovely and included gentle live Gamelan. Staff were lovely, too!
Amazing boutique style property without compromising on anything. Excellent stall, facilities, dining, spa and ambiance. Can’t wait to return. Friendly and professional staff.
Don’t stay here.
The hotel has some major issues. Mosquitos are a problem at the resort due to the open showers and bathroom. We where charged double what hotels.com quoted for a price as I chose to pay at the hotel with cash. The staff don’t speak good English and the beach is quite far from the hotel. Breakfast doesn’t include coffee. There are other hotels in the area that have similar pricing.
Excellent boutique hotel
Second stay for me and it was an excellent experience again. Looking forward to a visit with friends in September.
The hotel is beautifully designed. Great location and spa service. Friendly and helpful staff.
Nice hotel friendly staff
Nice looking hotel, clean and spacious room, quiet place. The area is a little far from seminak
Excellent hotel in a handy location
Excellent hotel. We stayed in the 1 bedroom Legong Villa which was excellent. Very spacious and when exiting the garden door you practically stepped in the pool (very nice pool). Food in hotel very good and very handy for local bars and restaurants. Only really had 2 days (3 nights in Sanur) but if we were to return we would definitely stay here longer. Highly recommend.
Very relaxing
Lovely hotel great service. They cater for celiac’s as well
Lovely hotel & staff - spoiled by the noise
A really lovely hotel and wonderful, friendly staff. But on the 6 nights we stayed we received three letters from the management telling us about large events to be held in the garden area, which most of the hotel rooms directly overlook. Live bands outside your door or balcony until 10pm. Not the serenity I had been hoping for. If it wasn't for these "events" I would give Sudamala 5 stars!
The staff were amazing. Always polite, smiling and only too happy to help in any way. And the location for us was just right. Away from the sometimes overly commercial beach-front hotels, but still only a very short walk away. And set amidst the street life, yet the rooms, spa and pool are set back making for a very tranquil environment. Also the carved wooden doors and statues everywhere make the place unique.
Nice beautiful hotel with reserved beach within 5mins walk
Lovely, peaceful hotel but not budget friendly
Beautiful hotel and grounds. A little expensive but very nice. I recommend getting food and spa services outside of the hotel as hotel prices are more than other local establishments.
We have stayed here before and it is one of our favourite hotels. Set amongst beautifully manicured gardens full of hanging orchids and other tropical plants. The position is close to local restaurants and bars and only a 5 minute walk to the hotel's private beach facilities. Staff are wonderful and eager to please. I think this hotel is more suited to adult couples rather than families with children. We will return.
Wonderful hotel. Friendly staff and exceptional rooms.
Awesome experience.
Great staff. Very willing to help in any way. Very glad we stayed here.
The resort is nice but not directly on beach which was fine. The resort has a private spot on the beach and supplies loungers and umbrellas. The room itself was nice enough but very dirty. Stained linens, unwashed floors, dirty glass doors. I would not rate this villa more than a four star at best.
Our room was noisy because of3airconditiors outside or room if we were staying longer we would have asked to change rooms but overall good hotel
The staff and facilities were exceptional. Large clean rooms. Centrally located within walking distance of all. The contracted dive operator, Neptune, is also excellent if you are looking to dive. The hotel and Neptune were great with arranging my dive trip on less than 24 hours notice.
Great place...
We only stayed for 1 night as we were leaving for Nusa Lembongan the next day. Staff were excellent and our room was clean with a big comfortable bed and pillows. Close to restaurants. It’s not on the beach so don’t stay if that’s what you’re after. Pool area and gardens are beautiful.
Comfortable and convenient.
This was a return trip to Sudamala. We are in Bali several times a year, and have stayed in many hotels. When we are in the Sanur area, it is one of my favorite hotels because of location and comfort. They have some of the best beds in Bali! The hotel food is great, and there are also a number of good restaurants within 50 yards.
Nice small quite hotel
The hotel is located at the quite area of Sanur with very friendly staff and a nice pool area. The rooms are very large and well equipped with a large walk in shower area. The breakfast is cooked to order and does have a mixture of items that you can order. I have stayed at the hotel 5 times, the hotel grounds are well maintained and they smoke the area every few days and turn down the room every night.
Hotel is very well finished and great place to relax
Exceptional!
We enjoyed four delightful days at Sudamala. The resort is located in a quiet area in south Sanur, surrounded by a good variety of restaurants. The architecture of the resort is very special – a clever mixture of traditional and modern Balinese with extensive lush and carefully trimmed gardens and a large swimming pool surrounded by plenty of space for lounging with food and drink service. (Forget the hotel’s beach area – a short walk but a small area and particularly at low tide not very clean or attractive compared to the great pool.) The garden room in which we stayed was generous in size, very comfortable and well furnished with high quality linen and all necessary facilities (including speedy wifi) and opened onto a private garden courtyard. A highlight was a drenching shower open to the garden but completely private. The restaurant, where we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast each morning (a great choice of six generous and delicious Balinese and western meals), a very good dinner and a memorable traditional Balinese buffet barbeque and dance night, was on the street front, looking out on the colourful and interesting passing parade. Our room and the whole of the resort was in excellent condition, very well maintained and spotless. Although the physical aspects of the resort were very special, the staff were the highlight. They were without exception happy, courteous, very helpful and charming. We were constantly addressed by name from the time of our arrival both
Nice, but small boutique hotel
Breakfast options are very limited (you get to choose from 6 only). Good quality and cleanliness isn't the best at this hotel. The rooms are decently sized but the view we got was nothing to write home about. Yhenhotel doesn't have a lot of amenities.
Great place in Sanur
While there was a discreptancy between the hotel and hotels.com on the check in and unreliable internet in our room while there, the reception was very knind and patient. The reception was readily available to address our needs. The room was spacious and wide common spaces--the pool, art gallery, courtyard. There was a large selection for breakfast. Conveniently located at the south end of Danau Tamblingan to shopping, restaurants and the beach.
One night stopover- wish it was longer
Stayed here for one night on our way to Lombok, and wished we had checked in for a few more nights. Beautiful hotel in lovely gardens. Great location, while not on the beach is only a short walk and very convenient to shops, cafes, spas, and to the airport. Breakfast was good, best pastries I have had in the tropics, crispy and light! My only criticism is that their check in was very slow. We arrived around 2:30pm and they asked us to wait "10 minutes" which turned into over an hour. Given we had a longstanding reservation this was disappointing. That being said, it was minor and I would definitely return.
Beautiful place and people. Brilliant service.
Intimate Boutique hotel set in pristine gardens.
We spent 10 days in this hotel and hated to leave. The hotel grounds are very quiet and never seems crowded. The staff are friendly, eager to please and you are generally addressed by your name. Try it and I think that most will want to return.
Full of Character
Perfect balance between traditional Balinese charm and modern day requirements both in style and in practice. The staff are genuine and tries their best.
Excellent stay. Everyone is family at Sudamala !!
Great stay at Sudamala. Great location for someone who need to commute to City Centre / Denpasar while still enjoying the relaxing atmosphere of Sanur. Breakfast is always Great just enough to start your day including Choice of Healthy Breakfast ! Room is really nice, spacious and very quiet. Very comfy bed and you can choose the pillow.. Bathroom is good, very clean also spacious. Water Pressure is adequate and it has the Rain Shower ! Thank you to Ibu Saimah, the GM, Mr. Tonny Kwan the Executive Chef, Ibu Dayu at the Reception and all staff of Sudamala. Make our stay is memorable. Definitely will come back again ! Thank you again !!
A gem of a hotel
A beautiful hotel within a tranquil setting, perfect for anyone that wants a hotel to just relax in. The staff were excellent, especially Andi, who was attentive & very helpful. We had the romantic meal by the pool that was a lovely experience. A simply perfect stay, well done to all the Sudamala Sanur team.
If you are a light sleepter - take some earplugs
It had all the makings of my new favourite place to stay. Checkin was great, the grounds are lovely the rooms are good for "the price point" great value for money. However it let me down! This is the type of place you really want to give a fabulous review to because Sudamala really is a lovely resort, but here is my honest feedback. Location great, staff are lovely, the grounds are beautiful, spa & pool area perfect and the serenity is great. However the service and some decision making / judgement of the staff (and they are lovely) was poor. For example when we arrived our luggage was left out the front (at the drop off area is) & we ended up collecting it 40mins after arrival, ourselves. The pool service - was near non-existent, (they could definitley be making some more profit in this area of the hotel) I was way too thirsty "poolside" and I am not sure why they were making up the room next to me at 1.30pm in the morning?? I was woken up every night, to some craziness which started to get my imagination running wild as to what alternative going ons were going on! in the wee hours of the morning!Oh & the walls are definitely too thin. You cant have a good barney with your parnter (unelss whsipering) without the surrounding rooms hearing what is going on. PS not good for those people with early morning digestive issues,if you know what I mean. But even all this said I would go back! (if they let me) but with my earlplugs in my handbag!!
Artsy hotel with scenic view near beach
Very unique. It is beautiful with interesting artwork. The bathrooms/shower were partly "open air" (birds can technically fly in to join you...but fortunately they never did). At night they sent me a funny bedtime story (this was a first for me!) and the staff were helpful for giving advice about nice restaurants that were a quick taxi drive away. This is a good place if you want to stay away from the party scene and just relax by the beach or shop peacefully. Breakfast had a decent amount of option (they give you a long menu with various set options).
Great hotel in Sanur
this is a very nice hotel with well-kept grounds and friendly staff. The location is convenient to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. The restaurant across the street is one of our favorites in the area! The only downside for me is that the breakfast was only so-so and had the same options every day. This is a small thing though and I would definitely stay there again.
Excellent
We had an amazing time! The staff was very friendly, food was great, 5 minute walk to the beach. Great location and beautiful rooms.
Noisy neighborhood rooster
I was hoping for a relaxing few days but instead listened to a rooster from early in the morning to the rest of the day.
Amazing stay
Great property, amazing rooms, fantastic hospitality
So peaceful and relaxing
What a place to stay. Doesn't look much from the outside stood on a busy t junction, but once inside is a world away. Fantastic hotel facilities rooms pool area and food but most of all the staff.lots of nice touches throughout. On our last day our daughter was given a birthday cake at breakfast which was a nice touch.
Sudamula Suites and Vilas
Very pleasant indeed. Spa treatments are really delicious - a must! Breakfasts at Sudamula Resort are very interesting and it's fun to try tastes you might not normally have. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Hotel in wind down mode - has seen better days
Hotel is looking tired, run down. Needs basic maintenance, fresh towels, bed linen, etc. Staff tried very hard and were all friendly, although sometimes a little hard to find. 'Private' beach is little more than a strip of sand with a few deckchairs. No watersports or activities. Hotel is definitely in cost cutting model, which explains the discounted room rate. Value for money ok, but there are better alternatives in the area
Great hotel, a real oasis of calm.
Executive chef Nyonam Sutawa went out of his way to cook a four course romantic dinner on the beach. We also took part in a cooking experience at the hotel which was superb. The hotel is in a great location close to the beach and numerous restuarants and shops. Staff could not have been more efficient. Lovely comfortable rooms.
Lovely suite resort in great location
Wonderful studio suite overlooking the pool. Big, luxurious and high vaulted roof giving an airy cool feel. Probably the best air con we've ever had, silent and perfect temperature. The shower area is huge with a great stand alone bath if you want a soak. Lovely gardens and lawn with sculptures throughout the property. I love the way you walk through the art gallery to take breakfast outside or inside in air con if you want it cool. Breakfasts are a la carte and very good indeed. I wish I could remember the name of the lovely girl that checked us in. Just beautiful, warm, friendly and so welcoming you start to relax straight away. Good location for a stroll to the beach, free bikes, restaurants all around. Would strongly recommend.
Nice hotel, good for couples wanting to chill out
Spent six nights at the sudamala with my wife. We found the hotel very good. We liked the atmosphere, it was very chilled out and there were not many crowds around the pool. The location was very good close to loads of good place to eat. If you like having a relaxed holiday with not many people bothering you then this hotel will suit you.
Lovely hotel, very nice grounds, great breakfast.
A very good location, right on the Main Street, so close to all shops, bars etc. But also a world away as the grounds are so tranquil and pool area very nice. Staff could not be more helpful. Free bikes to take you to private beach just 500m away. Breakfast was very good. Room are clean and well appointed with good TV choice. Wi-fi speed very good. Highly recommended.
No beachfront? No problem.
Sudamala isn't on the beach, but that's it's only real drawback. For beachgoers, it has a section of the beach reserve for guests 5 minutes walk away, and if that's not fast enough, it'll lend you a bike to get there quicker. But it's pool is amazing. So is the service. Whatever you want, you can it with a smile. Rooms are comfortable with open-air rain showers. Very nice. And the rooms all have a private terrace that abut a pleasant lawn. Just outside is the main drag leading to restaurants and bars, including one of the best, Linga Longa. And if you need to farther afield, there's a taxi stand just across the street.
A very pleasant stay at the hotel
Hotel needs refurbishments & staff need training.
Disappointed. The room needs refurbishment. The floor tiles are dirty & cracked in many places. The lighting in the bathroom is very poor/dull. The balcony door was very hard to close. The room was not cleaned properly & I don't think the bathroom floor was cleaned for the week I stayed & even when requested the tea bags where not replaced. Breakfast was modest & every morning staff always forgot something. At the pool area the ladies restroom had no toilet paper or paper towels / tissues to wipe your hands
Peaceful place, wonderful staff
Very quiet behind the entrance, although restaurants, bars, shops and the general bustle start literally over the road. Room (deluxe garden suite) is spacious and clean, with very high ceilings. Air-conditioning temperature for each room is controlled centrally - asked for mine to be reduced. Sliding doors lead to bathroom and wardrobe area. Toilet and shower are semi-al fresco which is fine except that this allows ingress for mosquitoes, so had to remember to keep the glass door from bathroom closed. Guest Services happy to provide insect spray, also part of the turndown service each evening is to light a mosquito coil in both pebble/plant area outside the shower and outside sliding doors to the garden. Breakfast is served at the restaurant which overlooks a T-junction at the front of the hotel and is very good. I ordered various courses and coffee separately after first day to prevent everything arriving at once and getting cold. Put a serviette over the toast to keep flies off. Food eaten at restaurant and via room service was good; hotel prices apply of course and these are half as much again or more than what is charged at establishments nearby. The hotel has its own section of the beach about 10 minutes walk away. Sun loungers are a long way back from the water. The day that I did spend a couple of hours there, no attendant was present for most of time. The staff at Sudamala, unfailingly friendly and helpful, are probably the best I've encountered in Bali.
Stayed: December 2015
Sudamala was going out of there way to make our stay wonderful. We enjoyed the orphanage songs over Christmas. The room was exquisite. They bring you wster all the time. If you want to be near the sea you have to walk about 500m. There is bicycles that you can go to the beach no charge. The garden was impeccably neat like almost ZEN experience. The swimming pool is very nice. We do not have any complaints.
Nice stay in Sanur
Sudamala was a great place to stay in Sanur. The staff was very friendly and the facilities were beautiful. They also have bikes which were very useful for exploring! Wonderful stay.
Beautiful Balinese experience
We had a beautiful time in the Sudamala hotel for our first night in Bali. The garden is absolutely charming, with balinese style, staff is very friendly, helpful and smily. The room was big with a nice bathroom and balcony. The only things I regret about the room was there was a funny smell when we arrived, as if someone had smoked before us, I mentionned it to the reception and when we came back the smell was gone (they'd lit some incense I think), also the shower was smelling vry fresh either... and there were a few yellow stains on the sheets, although they looked clean otherwise. Such as shame but these were the only problems. The beach isn't right there, but a 2 min bike ride (the hotel lends you free bikes) and at the beach, the hotel has a little hut with towels for the guest, super convenient ! The swimming pool in the hotel is gorgeous and very nice temperature. The beach wasn't the most beautiful in Bali but it had these cute boats and a quiet warung which was all we needed. all in all, i recommend staying there, and say something if the sheets aren't clean or the smell, they can fix it. the receptionist was very helpful in helping us arranging the rest of our trip neighbourhood is great, lots of little warungs / bars with live music, roasted pigs etc... without all the fuuzz and buzz of Kuta.
Sudamala Resort, Sanur | Home in Denpasar | Travala.com
This is a beautiful property with friendly attentive staff. It has a wonderful authentic feel. The daily a La Carte breakfast was delicious. Once here we booked an extra week we enjoyed it so much!!!!
