It was my birthday weekend, they gave a lovely surprise at breakfast.m, also sent champagne to my room.The room itself was very clean I didn’t want to mess the carpet with my shoes. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty options to choose from. Walking distance to all the attractions. Well equipped gym which I got to use. One of, if not the best hotels I’ve ever stayed.

This is probably the nicest place in Zürich for an hotel perspective. Easy to walk around. The boat the hotel has to take you to the other properties is absolutely amazing. The only knock I have is the air conditioning really keep up with the 80° weather. The gym was fair.

Excellent hotel in the city center right on the Limmat river with a roof top bar with beautiful view on the Zurich lake. The restaurant where breakfast is served has also a terrace with a great view on the river and the lake. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We arrived by car during the Street Parade (the world's largest techno/electronic music festival) and due to road closures couldn't drive right to the hotel and had to park a couple blocks away so the check in process was not very smooth. The hotel staff however was very helpful. They met us at the garage parking, took care of our car and luggage and walked us to the hotel. Due to the festival, the city was dirty with plenty of garbage lying on the streets and intoxicated people which did not make for the most pleasant walk around the city. If you are not in to the techno/electronic music scene, I would recommend avoiding visiting the city during the Street Parade.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Storchen. The location could not be beat. It is expensive but compared to the other 5 star hotels that I saw in Zurich, this one definitely has the best location. The rooftop is also super fun!

The best thing about this property is the location! Best in Zurich. The rooms were nice, but not outstanding, much smaller than I anticipated given the price point. However, because of location, I would recommend and stay again.

Our experience did not live up to the high ratings. Our room was small with deficiencies. TV did not work, and the soap dispenser in the shower was broken. Overall a feeling of an average hotel at excessive pricing. Will not return.

Our stay in Storchen is so memorable and wonderful . The hotel is located in the Heart of the city, riverfront, and walkable to everything. Very accessible and convenient to all rides: tram, river cruise, bus, etc. We love the staff’s excellent service from the start to the end of our stay. The receptionist are wonderful and like magicians. Your wish is their command. We have an early flight out and kind enough to serve us a room service breakfast around 4:00 am before we leave. They have a shuttle service to send us early for our flight with a very wonderful and knowledgeable driver. Few minutes after we check in our room, they greeted us with 2 bottles of delicious free wine. And the view is remarkable. The rooms are beautiful , well designed, and of great size to accommodate 7 people. Beds are very comfortable. Their is a small refrigerator filled with drinks and delicious goodies. The only issue we found is their are crayons in the closet and the bed floor and mattress wet. The crayons could be from the previous people who stayed before us. And the wet floor and mattress from accidentally spilling water. Otherwise, overall we are very happy and pleased with our stay. Everything is excellent and a wonderful experience. Definitely will be back to stay.

The property location, staff, and and overall quality are superb. This is the reason we came back to stay after our initial visit in 2022. We will continue to come back and stay anytime we visit Zurich! The staff was amazing from checkin to check out: I could not be any more happy!

Storchen Zurich is top notch! Beautiful clean rooms, all 3 dining places are excellent plus the attentive and professional service we received from everyone in the hotel. We highly recommend.

Unimpressive lobby, but luxurious rooms. River front would have been much preferred, as cobblestone street traffic in the mornings is very loud, even with daylight-proof exterior window coverings. We did not follow the hotel’s recommendation for a tourist trap. We found much better and less $$ dining options away from the riverfront. Public Parking is a 10 minute walk, but the loading/unloading zone area was convenient. We used the free drink voucher at the sister hotel Widder. Breakfast was exquisite. Wonderful experience all around!

Wonderful hotel terrible meal

Front desk and concierge were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately had a terrible meal there in the Barchetta lounge. My wife had a Cesar salad with a dry, non-edible piece of chicken on it and I ordered a 52 Franc fillet med rare which came out over cooked and dry. Very disappointing as the rest of our stay was lovely.

The hotel is in the most perfect location. The room is very clean and the bed is comfortable. However, the room was very very small. We each had a carry on and between the two of us, had a hard time to find a place to open our suitcases without feeling claustrophobic. The concierge guys were amazing and made all the difference. Mr. Ishaq at concierge was very helpful booking us whatever we needed and guiding us to the right direction. Make sure to book and take the hotel free boat ride to the farm Restaurant. The food and views were amazing and the boat ride the best.

Our stay was the final leg of a multi-week trip. It was a perfect and luxurious end to the trip!

It was something out of a movie! Beautiful setting on the river, exceptional staff and service and the food was top notch! My room was small but it overlooked the river which made up for it.

The General Manager and all of the management and staff were courteous, responsive and dedicated to us as their guests.

The intimatness, the history of the building and the town around it is fascinating and very rich in culture and beauty. The only thing I found lacking was in their service. Although they were pleasant they also seems not to know what they were talking about.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. Beds were enormously comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Our room was well outfitted. Highly recommend. Only issue - it was hard for Uber drivers to find.

A fantastic hotel located in the beautiful old town of Zurich. Highly recommended.

This is not a bad hotel. It’s clean and has a great location. But it’s way overpriced and with two major problems. First, the size of the room and especially the bathroom, is very small. The bathroom had a sliding door because there was no room for a regular door. The bathrooms at cruise ships are larger, much larger than the bathroom at this hotel. This is unacceptable for a $800/night hotel. The second problem was worse. The mattress had a hole where you rest your back. Typical of a very old and used mattress. Impossible to sleep. After the first night I complained and asked them to either change the mattress or change my room. They assured me it would be solved. I came back late at night and nothing had changed. I had another sleepless night. Fortunately I check out after the second night. For almost the same price you can stay at the Bar Au Lac. Do yourself a favor and do not even think of going to this hotel.

Beautiful location. I have stayed in the past and was surprised this visit at how unfriendly the front desk staff was. Minimal effort put forth. Regardless would stay at this historic property again because of the beautiful surroundings.

Love the tale of the Stork

All of the staff were very helpful. We were early for our reservation, but we had just had a 10 hour overnight flight, with no sleep, and were extremely tired. We waited till around 2 pm and said that we would take another room if it were available. They did accommodate us, but I think that they could have made more of an effort to expedite the cleaning of our room since we had been there for over 3 hours. The location is fantastic, and we would go back again.

The property was under construction and the room is very small. The room much for one person not a couple.

It was amazing.. customer service a plus.. great attitude, cleanliness, location! Beautiful rooms, bathroom water pressure is great!only thing was that there was no Apple TV In our room.. other rooms did have it.. turn down service. Bottled water everyday. Our rooms were serviced everyday with linens and towels.. the breakfast can be better but sufficient, overall it was wonderful! Can’t wait to be back.. Thank you for the great experience.

It may be a small thing, but the coffee that was served in the restaurant was superb. Overall this was a very, very enjoyable hotel stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Treat yourself!

We splurged on a riverside room, and the views were amazing! Service was five star, in my judgement. There was a tray of fruit and chocolates waiting for us upon check in. Every request was fulfulled cheerfully. Location was central, so we walked everywhere.
