Excellent staff

The area was great and wasn't far from Termini. However, on the first 2 nights there were ants all over the floor. The front desk moved us at different room. The breakfast was okay but pancakes were extra charge and it didn't taste good.

Great location for OK apartment hotel.

Location is very good for those who want to experience the city. At the heart of the flea market. Very cool. My company made reservations with breakfast and it starts very late. I had to leave to a conference and was unable to attend any breakfast. When asking about this the reply was very disappointing - it's your problem. Not the response I would expect.

Very good overall

We were very happily surprised to stay at this hotel, which is a new brand to us. We felt safe and appreciative of staff and accommodations at this hotel. We will definitely stay in StarHotels again as well as recommend to any family and friends staying in Rome.

Very clean and great location.

Rome Hotel

The hotel books large tour groups so the lobby would be overly crowded in the morning & afternoon. This made it difficult to move around. Getting in an elevator was a challenge at times because of this. Our room was clean and nice. We did not have electricity in some outlets, TV, or air conditioning for over 24 hours. They did fix it when we told them about it. The location of this hotel is good.

Convenient to everything

We've stayed in this hotel 3 times. Always a good experience. Very convenient to the Termini train station, great restaurants and walking distance to many sights.

Convenient location to Roma Termini. My goto when in Rome for a day or a week. Consistent customer service and always clean comfortable rooms. Staff has always been very accommodating and professional.

When in Rome.

Very friendly and courteous staff. Great breakfast and reception included for our group. Very convenient for Termini, main rail and metro station. 20-30 minutes walk to Colosseum, 30-40 mins to Trevi Fountain. Plenty of restaurants, cafés and souvenir shops around the area.

This hotel was super nice. Rooms were spacious with nice beds and pillow. Bathroom area was excellent with nice shower and thick towels. They have nice lighting in the room and our room had a nice window we could Open to cool off when neeeded. Breakfast staff was outstanding and the food on the breakfast was tasty with an excellent selection. Hotel is located close to many really nice restaurants.

Nice and clean hotel located in a safe area, 5 mins walk from the train station and metro.

Great choice

Excellent location; superb room size and cleanliness; helpful staff. Rooms were a little warm for our liking, but this was easily fixed. Modest gym helped ease some jet lag. Easy walk to/from main train station without being in an unsafe area.

Poor experience at Front Desk

I decided to upgrade because of the balcony. When I got to my room there was none. When I went down to inquire they said that balconies may or may not be available. When selecting my room none of that was information was available. It only showed the nice picture of the balcony. I asked if an upgrade was available, and they said yes, but I would have to pay about 25% more. I explained that according to my hotels.com gold status I should have a free upgrade, if rooms were available. And since the room was available, then I asked what was the problem. In short, the front desk, and the front desk manager said that hotels.com/Expedia doesn't matter - Misrepresentation or not. Next time, they concluded, I should know better and just book directly with Starhotels.

Good choice

Enjoyed our stay. The room and bathroom were both decent sized and comfortable. Shower was good and there was enough counterspace in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and the buffet breakfast was pretty good. ( just wish they would allow us to take coffee to our room!) Location was good near the train station and metro, and a 20-30 min walk to the Colosseum, Pantheon, orTrevi Fountain. Plenty of good restaurants nearby and the immediate area felt safe. Would stay there again.

The hotel is very convenient to the train station if you are train Hoppers like us traveling throughout the country. very nice hotel. very friendly staff. we actually had a small leak in our room. when we woke up the next morning they had it fixed by the time we got back and they cleaned our clothes that had gotten a little damp from water leaking onto our clothes. they also left us a bottle of wine for the evening as a courtesy for that mishap happening to us. hotel is very convenient to many restaurants and sites that are walkable to the the hotel. or you can jump on a Subway or a hopping tour bus ride. whatever you choose. we would definitely stay there again.

Friendly staff and clean room. Very comfortable bed

Very quiet rooms. Excellent breakfast choices. Outstanding staff. Manager Alessandro showed to care about all guests. It could even be better if they provided a better quality shampoo and provide conditioner. A shower rubber anti-slippery would provide more safety. Itv is very clean thoughout. We will return to this hotel again. You would enjoyed it too!

We travel to Rome once or twice a year and always choose to stay here. A five minute walk from Termini train station. Daniella and the staff provide impeccable service, the hotel restaurants, rooms, and amenities are excellent. We always look forward to our stays.

It is almost impossible to find anything wrong with the Metropole in Rome. Conveniently located in the heart of metropolis, this is one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed. Trust me I have 35 years of international travel, and this hotel has verything you could ever want (except a swimming pool). Other than that, clean, large rooms and great friendly staff that will go out of their way to help.

I liked that this property is conveniently located near the Spanish Steps surrounded by many great restaurants, gelaterias, and shops. The air conditioning was not working in the rooms (July 13) when the temperature was 97 degrees outside, and they had no way of fixing it, since they don't have onsite maintenance staff, and the hotel management was not available on the weekend. There was only a part-time receptionist onsite. If you need help in the evening or morning, there is no one there to assist. We reserved 2 rooms - the air conditioning didn't work and the sinks did not drain in either room. You also have to haul your suitcases up one flight of stairs before you get to the elevator. I don't recommend staying here.

Great quality room and service, we will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Rome.

Very good location to attractions, overall excellent Breakfast buffet selection can be improved somewhat. Lighting in hallway too dark Bathroom ventilation could be better

We had a very friendly and very helpful check in. Very cooperative and kindly attentive staff. We didn’t like the location and felt insecure in the sorroundings but the room was neat and comfortable

It was central to all amenities

Great staff. Great food. Great location. Beautiful building, inside and outside. The only complaint would be that the A/C was turned off. An employee told me it's because of government regulations. Other than that, I was very pleased with my stay.

Could be a great property, fix the air conditioning. Future guest might like that.

Good value for money

The staff at this hotel were helpfull and kind.They made my stay comfortable. The rooms were spacious, clean and well-maintained. The location was perfect -very close to the train station, and subway. Enjoyed the stay.

No AC/Heat - had to open the window to get air but very noisy throughout the night and early morning...hard to get good sleep. We have 3 ppl but the room coffee/tea supplies are only for 2 - had to keep asking for the third person.

Disappointed stay.

With the exception of the receptionist who allowed us to check in earlier, the rest of them had moody faces. I had to ask them twice before they could give me a bottle of wine that I was entitled to. Room was warm and had to request for another room. Walking there from the train station was a challenge, a lot of turns. When checking out I was charge twice, they had to do a refund which took some time. Thank goodness we checked out early, if not we would have missed our train for which I had pre booked earlier.

Near Roma Termini

The hotel is located near the Central Train station which is convenient. The staff are pleasant, just not overly enthusiastic. The room was spacious and we'll appointed. Yes, I would stay there again.

They lie and give you an inferior room to charge extra for an upgrade

Check in/parking was not clear. Parking was not available even though requested which created delay in check in as the front desk kept asking if we had parked. Difficult to communicate with bell staff at arrival and departure.

The area of the hotel is pretty bad. It’s right behind an alley that garbish truck collects trash early morning. The WiFi quality in the hotel is unstable. The hotel location is near a lot of restaurants. Very convenient to find food.

Air conditioner did not work. We ended up getting sick because the room was too cold. They also placed us on the first floor, which was noisy. It's a nice looking hotel with nice people working, but the room was tiny in comparison to even the Best Western Universo next door.

Great location and 5 mins walk to Rome Termini train station/metro/bus. The hotel is well maintained and the room is spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are a lot of restaurants around the hotel and it is easy to walk to all attractions and shopping areas.

Great location! Saved our Rome portion of the trip when we had to change hotels. Friendly service, clean rooms and conveniently located. When we had an issue with the water pressure in the shower they sent someone up promptly to fix the issue. They also serve a great breakfast!

I like the open feeling of the entrance, roomy and comfortable. Rooms are cozy too. Maybe you can add more hot food in the breakfast.

Great location. Hotel rooms are a bit dated.

Great spot and location

Staff were indifferent. Paid €50/day for an upgrade. Breakfast was minimal for €15 each (included in the upgrade). Included in the upgrade was free soft drink from the mini bar. Found the people of Rome quite rude. Hospitality in restaurants was good but not in this hotel. Very different to Starhotel in Venice which was polar opposite
