Someone broke my car glass overnight while parked at the hotel parking. Hotel refused to acknowledge the problem or check their cameras. Hotel was not supportive or helpful at all.

Hotel is ideally located for all San Diego public transport, being barely four minutes walk from the Santa Fe Depot. Staff are incredibly welcoming, efficient, helpful, and understanding. Rooms are well appointed and quiet. Breakfast offers decent range of warm, cold, and healthy food.

We recently spent a weekend at Springhill, and it was truly unforgettable. I had planned to propose during our stay and requested a romantic setup with roses and battery candles. The hotel staff went above and beyond, creating a beautiful arrangement and even surprising us with a bottle of champagne, all at no extra charge to our stay. We were so touched by their generosity and attention to detail. Thank you, Springhill, for making this special moment even more magical.

Comfortable beds and good size of room

confusing room layout, with a TV between the sitting room and the bedroom. That meaning, awkward to watch in bed because you have to rotate it, but also awkward to watch from the couch for the same reason. Bed was horrendously uncomfortable, making it impossible to get a continuous good night of sleep. Whether on your side or back, it was just awfully hard.

Best employee!

The front desk person (Hussein?) was top notch. He was friendly and professional and went above and beyond in his assistance and actions. He alone is the reason I would stay again without a second thought!

Like that it had easy access to the port. We walked right across the road to the ship to board our cruise.

Great location for exploring and the view was fun. The rooftop bar was an unexpected plus - vibe and service was great! Breakfast was chaotic and they did their best to mitigate. We stayed for 2 nights and the first morning definitely had better offerings.

What was interesting was the EV chargers were only available to guests that use the valet. It was a great idea because without it guests would squat on the charger well beyond full charge and deprive others who need to charge

Great place to stay in downtown San Diego. Right next to the bay with fabulous views of the bay. They have a great outdoor dining area on the fifth floor facing the bay with awesome views. Breakfast was great with a lot of options for hot and cold fare, it got crowded but they opened other spaces to accommodate the rush. The only issue we Faced was that the bath area had sliding doors (no latch). Why are hotels going for this nowadays!!

Fab Bay Views

Excellent location, outstanding views of the SD Bay. Very secure hotel. Nice safe and quiet, family friendly hotel. Close to Gaslamp District. Make sure to book the bay facing rooms, worth the view!

Overrated.

We booked a suite with king bed and was told it wasn't available with ocean view, as booked. Diverted to a two queen size beds. Room was super hot when we got in, leaving the air conditioning on was not sufficient, since it turns off every time you leave the room. Ended up in a very warm room overnight. Breakfast is mediocre with very little choices and not so healthy food.

The breakfast staff and choices were great. Checking in and out was fast.

Okay property. Although brand new, the service seemed inattentive at best. I called for cleaning of my room before leaving at 10:00 am. We came back at 7:00pm and the room had never been cleaned. The breakfast ( as with most Marriott properties) is just terrible. Tasteless and limited. Even though I did not partake the second day, the limited hours for such a huge property don’t make sense (2.5 hours).

Great location and facilities. We loved the gym and breakfast for our family both days we stayed!

Check-In was a breeze. Jeff at the front desk was friendly and efficient. He got us a great room with a view of the waterfront. It exceeded our expectations. We hope to stay here again on our next trip to San Diego.

Great location, quick walk to Little Italy. Breakfast in the mornings were great though too crowded. "Rooftop" bar left a little to be desired but plenty of local options.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Walking distance to many attractions around downtown San Diego. Clean and spacious rooms. Great service from the front desk. Standout of the property has to be their complimentary breakfast offered daily on the 5th floor. Large buffet and the staff do such a great job! I’d definitely visit this property again next time I’m in San Diego. Highly recommend!

Excellent location and great service by staff. As soon as we checked in we were greeted and taken care of. We will definitely return on our next trip to San Diego.

It was a beautiful property. They had our room ready a lot earlier than expected! We were able to check in at 10am and our check out they gave us until 1pm which was amazing! The staff was great! Super accommodating! The amenities included was so perfect from the breakfast to the hotel store being open 24hrs. There’s a liquor store right across the street and the view from our corner suite was amazing with the view of the bay. The bed was so comfortable, really felt like a true vacation. Would recommend this for anyone! I’d def come back to this hotel.

Honestly overrated for the price the only thing that is worth it is the bayview, nothing too special other than that, they try to overcharge.

The hotel is clean! Right across the cruise ship terminal!

Power went out at 5 pm. Only 1 elevator was in operation and dinner services were delayed. When service resumed, Menu options were limited. We were then evacuated at 1:15 am. It was a false alarm. What a nightmare. You can’t make this up.

This could vary on timing, but we had loud and rowdy guests the entire time on our floor. I’m writing this review because the staff that weekend didn’t seem to really care. I called down to the receptionist 3x past 10pm, and they kept saying they didn’t hear/see people in the hallway even though it was clear there were a lot of drunk people right outside our door. By the third call, the staff finally did do something about it, but he seemed more annoyed with my calls than trying to provide proper customer service. Noise was a big issue for us all weekend between multiple different guests, and the hotel management did not seem to take it seriously. We will not be returning as it was extremely disturbing.

Very clean property and amazing staff

Views are great, hotel is clean and tidy, parking is very convenient as it is below the hotel itself. Breakfast was tasty and the hotel has variety, they even offer a 24 hour snack bar you can choose from. The hotel is also conveniently located right across the USS Midway. Everything around is at walkable distance. With beautiful view of the San Diego shore lines and surrounding peninsulas.

It was beautiful and the location was perfect for our stay!

My stay at the springhill suites was amazing. The free breakfast was awsome and all the staff was very on top of keeping food stocked up and coming to tables to take plates away(lydia was great). The front desk employees were very nice and helpful. Maria our housekeeping was extremely nice and kept the room super clean <3. Dining options and sight seeing is walking distance and very convenient

Parking is expensive. Glad I paid ahead of time. Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Love the view! Will bring painters tape next time to seal off the blackout curtains. The part that wouldn’t completely close shined right in eyes when sleeping.

Was in town for a wedding held at the hotel’s event venue (the Lane) and stayed here for the convenience. Place was quiet and all the staff were really nice and helpful. Good gym with excellent views, also liked all the options for the breakfast that was included. Pretty walkable as well

The hotel was clean, breakfast was a bit chaotic. I’m a dog lover but the number of misbehaving dogs and their owners was a little much. A lot of people smoking right outside the doors/elevators.

We enjoyed our stay in general, though our room had a little issue in the toilet and I think the quality of the breakfast can be improved.

Pool was nice and warm. The only thing i didn't like was the ac in my room was too noisy.

Nice hotel, events held at the rooftop bar were annoying. They took the best seating leaving hotel customers with the leftovers.

This was a perfect hotel for our needs. Very central, spacious and clean and great to have breakfast included although felt the food could have been better with more healthy options.

The front desk staff was very helpful in planning things to do in the area and arranging a longer stay. The views from our room windows was amazing!

I had an issue with booking when I checked in. The room that I reserved was not available, so I was sent to the hotel across the road instead. That other hotel offered me the wrong accommodation. Despite that issue, Springhill resolved things as soon as they could and made it better. Thanks!

The room is very small The king size bed is not big it is similar to queen size they are not changing bed sheet till we left the hotel nearly 6 days

For $700 per night you would expect toiletries to be refilled, more than a quarter roll of toilet paper and a working shower. Very disappointed in room.
