The check-in experience was disorganised and disappointing. We knew it was a self check-in and after reading the instructions we were expecting a message to get our access code for the room. None of these were sent prior to arriving. I messaged the day before and received no response. Upon arrival there was a number on the door. We called it multiple times and it said ‘this number is inactive’. I then contacted Expedia via the virtual agents who were very helpful and connected me to S.P.Q.R. After 45 minutes we then received the codes to get into the room. Nevertheless the property was clean, tidy and in a good location to see the main attractions in Rome. Although the cleaner never topped up our toilet roll so we didn’t have any for our final evening/morning. Bonus to have a fridge in the room. There were also some lovely local restaurants nearby.
I didn’t have a good check-in experience, I needed to wait around 1 hour to get in. Another thing, I asked the staff (at night) for the air conditioning remote control and they didn’t answer, so it’s not a 24 hours chat assistant. The place is just ok if you’re looking some low-cost place & it’s nearest to the Rome key places.
Airbnb style, no customer service, but good price
Poor or none customer service Difficulties access code (got it by What s App at the beginning of the afternoon of the check in day) No answers on my requests to look at the shower either too cold either too hit, and problem to evacuate waters. The battery of the lock my room was too late but never change even a positive written answer two days before to leave. There are minors points (fridge don t work as the remote control of the air conditionner) but it is a long list. The situation, the price are great. It is clean.
Personale inesistente. Abbiamo dovuto contattare la struttura più volte durante il giorno per farci inviare il codice d'accesso e accordarci per il check-in. Pulizia non eccellente. Non è presente un frigo in camera.

Worst hotel (bedsit) in Rome
The worst place we stayed all road trip through Italy. The pictures on the website are not an accurate representation of the room at all. The window was blacked up and looked out when opened onto vents for the building. The air conditioning was locked on 24 degrees which you were unable to change, so it was like a sauna in the room the entire time. The sheets looked like they belonged to a teenage boy. There was 2 small packets of ‘shower gel’ which were not enough at all. The shower was covered in mould, unable to open properly & covered in limescale. Not only that, you had to hold in a button to keep it on or it would go onto the hand held shower which was a nightmare. The key car didn’t work throughout the stay. We reached out to the owner and they did nothing. The door wouldn’t open when the code was typed in correctly. The entrance to Spqr didn’t need the code as it didn’t lock - great security I think not. Was promised keys on the desk in the room to gain access for the front door which didn’t exist. It felt like we were staying in a bed sit. It honestly ruined our honeymoon as it was towards the end of our trip. Would never recommend to a friend. Or even an enemy.
