Amazing place

We loved this place it was amazing . I would say the only thing I didn’t like was how far it is from everything. The transit is pretty great though and it doesn’t take long to get to the city centre .

Very sharp, professional, helpful and friendly staff. I visited Karlovy Vary more than 10 times in the last decade and stayed in the other six hotels in the city. I can say for sure that hotel Imperial has the best accommodations among them.

Nice old hotel with great service

This is a very nice old hotel with great service and variety of spa treatments.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. We were guests four years ago and so to come back has been a great privilege.

Beautiful building in nice surroundings with lovely views over the valley. The reception staff were efficient and helpful. We ate in all three restaurants during our stay. The food was OK and fairly typical of the area but beware of extras! We were charged 5 euros for tap water, which frankly, is taking the p***. Also, 20 euro/night for parking a car on top of the room price seems excessive given that the hotel isn't in the centre of town.

The hotel is dated, needs updates but it has its own charm so many will like it as it is a traditional old style building All in all I was very disappointed Rooms are large but cold at night we had 2 rooms booked we could not sleep at night due to been very cold complained to the front desk and they couldn't do anything so waiting till the morning and had a lengthy chat with the manager( Blanka) who in the end managed to switch the heating on which helped and offered a free spa treatment which I think was good customer service The overall feel was not great alot of staff don't speak English so it is difficult to communicate, I felt most staff other then front desk need a lot of customers service training as they are very rude and abrupt and don't have any training to deal with customers Even at the desk when we checked in the lady on reception said people in this region are different and can be rude !! I will not stay in this hotel again to sum up things I moved to another hotel in town and it is fabulous

Clean hotel, rooms are cleaned every day. Many rooms have balconies. It is overlooking green hills and air around is clean and fresh. We slept with open windows. Rooms are huge, same with bathrooms. Nice furniture in the room. Free transportation to take you down to colonnades. This is a Spa town. Many people come to Karlovy Vary to enjoy hot springs and healing water. Hotel offers good quality home made food buffet style 3 times a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can get SPA procedures of your choice and see the medical specialists as part of hotel services.

Lovely spacious property with a beautiful yard and a funicular connection to downtown. Awesome spa and relaxed atmosphere. Great breakfast, warm and uncrowned pool. Highly recommend. The rooms are huge and quiet.

Great experience except for the spa

Overall we had a great experience. The room had a nice view. It was spacious and clean. The wellness Center was not impressive. The sports center seemed nice as well as the tennis courts. The hotel offers free public transport pass which brings you to the city center in just 2 minutes.

Enjoyed my 2 days stay. Really liked it!

We had a half-board including 3 procedures (massage and bubble baths). The breakfast and dinner buffets had plenty of food choices. The hotel is suitable for people that want to relax and enjoy a quiet stay in a beautiful part of Karlovy Vary. Overall, the stay was amazing!

Nice 5 star hotel in the centre up an hill but with a free Funicular Railway to the hotel. Good spa complex. Breakfast is not 5 star quality.

Hotel is spacious, but may feel a little empty. General sevice level could be improved. Breakfast was ok but not really 5* level. Rooms were good with decent views.

It's like your home away from home - on steroids!

Commendable staff, very proficient, friendly, making a guest feel right at home. Arriving after midnight, having the valet take care of our car, and getting a freshly prepared complimentary meal at the bar was just one of many highlights. We'll definitely be back soon! PS: Shoutout to Robert!

An excellent stay in Karlovy Vary.

Beautiful hotel that has been updated nicely. Very large corridors, but the rooms are a bit small, but comfortable. Was there for a 10 day wellness stay, and found the staff very friendly and helpful the entire time. A very serene location at the top of a hill, with spectacular views of the valley and town. Spa and wellness services very well organized and satisfactory, with extensive facilities for these services. The hotel is wonderful, but lists itself as a 5 star hotel. Realistically, I would consider it to be a solid 4 Star. Would suggest adjusting expectations accordingly prior to arrival.

Absolutely amazing experience

It wasn't the first time I stayed in Imperial, but it was the first time I had a chance to stay in one of the suits. Absolutely perfect in all details, very relaxing, no noise around, amazing view to surrounding nature. A bit of paradise.

My stay with Hotel Imperial

I enjoyed my visit and stay with Hotel Imperial. The tram is free with your stay and it will take you right into the main Beautiful city of Karlovy Vary. Also Imperial has very nice spa service and pool. Great service and staff. Friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

Beautiful old building with terrible staff

Hotel is grand and beautiful. Room was one of the nicest we've ever stayed at with huge bathroom and beautiful view. Breakfast buffet was good, but had to wait a long time after sitting down to get coffee/tea. Great range of spa procedures but you need to book a few weeks in advance if you need a certain time slot, I couldn't get what I wanted. Also don't see why we should pay to use the gym and hotel owned funicular given the accommodation price we've paid. Pool, sauna and Jacuzzi are nice but not available all day which is a bit inconvenient. Service is their biggest let down. It would be nice if staff focused as much on their customers as they did on their mobile phones. The only person who truly deserved to work there was the gentleman at reception (Roman?) who was exceptionally polite, helpful and remembered guests details and issues. Housekeeping did a good job, turned down the beds while we were at dinner. Everyone else was extremely rude and inattentive, it was disgraceful! Please know that we have been working in hotels and hospitality for nearly 30 years and we were shocked by their behaviors towards us.

Lovely room and great staff

Great staff, great breakfast with large selection and room was large and comfortable. Pool are was nice and the garden is lovely and quick walk dow to the town or take bus 13 from train or bus station to the hotel and also there is a tram to the historic spa part of town.

Below average service

This is more like a sanatorium rather than hotel and you should keep it in mind if visiting. Good for staying here for medical purposes, noone is in a hurry and neither should be you:) Negatives: - at the checkout at 22:00 there was no staff who could bring the cot bed, and make any additional amendments to the comfort of the room. - all beds (!!!)!in all rooms except the apartment are twin beds that are just pulled together. Very uncomfortable for spouses. - no room service (and there have not been one ever, as they proudly told us at reception desk) - english is spoken seldomly by the staff - staff sometimes rude and almost always not friendly (with few exceptions) - rooms are being cleaned poorly - if there is held a private venue get ready to listen to the music till 2-3 am Positives: - diet menu in a buffet type restaurant - hotel is huge, and interesting even for an inside walking :) - our moms who stay here 2 weeks for a medical program enjoy it, however even they admitted that service could have been better I don't think we will ever come back neither i would recommend it to someone (as a hotel). However somehow i think most of hotels here share similar characteristics and attitude.

Below expectations

Stayed for a weekend getaway in 09/2015. Hotel looks good inside and outside, but service and amenities are not up to par: 1) After check-in, we were informed that spa was closed for the weekend. Imagine our surprise, considering we went to what was expressly advertised as a "spa hotel" and actually wanted to use the services. 2) Main hotel restaurant was closed for a wedding. We asked at reception where we could eat instead, and were advised to use the cafe next door... however, it was full. So - first, no spa, and then, no food. We eventually found out there was another restaurant in the back of the hotel. 3) I got yelled at by a parking attendant who thought I parked the car improperly. Too bad it wasn't even my car he was talking about. Other things I disliked: - Location. Not far from center, but up the hill on a steep slope. - When we first entered our room, we found the balcony to be full of construction trash. - The pool felt rather sad and unrelaxing, with blue-and-orange walls and a guard who kept staring at us. - Bath tub had no walls or curtain around it... which means that no matter how hard you try, there will be water all over the floor after you shower. - Painfully slow elevators! To be fair, two positives: - Hotel restaurants were good - both in terms of food and service (unlike the rest of the hotel) - Ground floor care had nice classy live singing All things considered, I would not stay there again and I would not recommend a friend.

Love to visit 3 times a year, best ever services

This is our second visit for this great hotel, the service is great the view is fantastic. Every single staff is helpful professtional, especially the staff of the VIP resturant and the SPA staff. It is a great place to visit between time to time we really recommended. the food is fresh and lovely in all courses. The Tennis courts are amazing, all sports facility is amzing, so clean Mr. & Mrs Guirari.

Ein ganz besonderes Hotel, fast schon aus der Zeit gefallen, sehr weitläufig und geräumig. So auch die Zimmer, mit Vorraum, großen Bad und sehr guten Betten und sehr gut Kissen. Zum Geburtstag gab es eine Flasche Wein. Das Frühstück als Buffet war sehr gut, ein große Auswahl an Variationen, es war schon fast ein Brunch. Abends haben wir zweimal am Buffet im Restaurant Prag gegessen, was auch zu empfehlen ist. Das Hotel liegt in einem großen Park, der sehr schön ist. Leider gibt es nirgendwo liegen, wo man sich mal entspannen könnte. Auch die Außengastronomie ist für die Größe dieses Hauses viel zu klein. Ebenso das kulturelle Angebot ist sehr klein, es scheint, also sollte man lieber draußen etwas machen als im Hotel. Eigentlich wollten wir Wellness machen, aber der Spa-Bereich wirkte sehr clean und medizinisch. Das Schwimmbad ist okay, das Schwimmen im Heilwasser ist angenehm. Die Umkleiden sind hingegen viel zu klein und eng. All in All: Ein sehr gut ausgestattes Hotel mit einem sensationellen Blick und Lage - die Annehmlichkeiten und das kulturelle Angebot, was man von einem 5-Sterne-Haus erwarten würde, können definitv noch verbessert und verfeinert werden.

Für den Preis etwas anderes erwartet. Beim Frühstück totals Chaos, bei einem 5* Haus habe ich mehr Komfort erhofft!

Ein richtig tolles Hotel in einer ruhigen Gegend, nicht weit entfernt vom Standzentrum. Die kostenlose Seilbahn fährt direkt in die Innenstadt und zurück. Das monumentalle Gebäude, riesige Zimmer, gutes Essen sind uns sehr gut gefallen. Einen Nachteil gibt es dennoch: Fehlende Klimaanlage ist echt nicht schön, gerade im Sommer. Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert

Historisches Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Zimmer leider nicht klimatisiert und daher sehr warm im Sommer, aber sonst schön. Betten könnten etwas bequemer sein. Nur das Badezimmer wirkt veraltet und dem sonstigen Standard nicht angemessen (keine gute Dusche, Toilettensitz aus Plastik). Vielfältiges, leckeres Essensangebot. Swimmingpool und Massageangebote gut.

Toller Aufenthalt in einer schönen Suite mit Balkon. Schönes Grand-Hotel mit Flair. Man muss wissen, es ist nicht neu renoviert, aber es ist eh eine Kunst es so zu erhalten. Thai-Massage im Hotel sehr gut. Einzig verstehe ich nicht warum das Hotel keine Sonnenterrasse mit Liegestühlen hat. Platz wäre ja da.

Great stay

We had a fantastisk time at Imperial. The room was wonderful, large, clean and with a great view. We had half board and the food was very nice. We loved the pool. It is easy to get to the center with the cable car. If there is one thing I would change than it would be that there should be a kettle in the room to have some tea as there is a very nice coffee maker.

Hotel med en fantastisk udsigt.

Smukt, gammelt hotel med masser af charme. Hotellet var lidt slidt og wellness-afdelingen bestod af en sauna, et køligt svømmebassin og et boblebad. Men alt i alt et dejligt ophold.

Prachtig historisch hotel met goede service

Prachtig historisch gebouw, zeer grote kamer, mooie uitzicht. Grote badkamer. Prima dinerbuffet en ontbijtbuffet. Mooi zwembad met 2 whirlpools.

Sehr schönes Hotel, etwas in die Jahre gekommen, trotzdem war unser Zimmer sehr groß und schön. Tolle Aussicht und die Seilbahn inclusive, die in die Altstadt führt.

Solo critico que el bar y los restaurantes cierran muy temprano. Deberían estar al menos hasta las 23 El personal si no lo saludas , ellos no lo hacen En términos generales recomiendo ampliamente el spa hotel Imperial

Tolles Hotel, großzügiges Zimmer, toller Ausblick, ordentliche Ausstattung. Café, Frühstücksbereich und Restaurant absolut schön! Pool okay, Whirpools waren da. Ich würde es absolut empfehlen und ich werde wiederkommen. :)

Tolles Grandhotel mit einem historischen Charme vergangener Tage. Wie eine Burg thront es über Stadt. Die Zimmer sind groß und komfortabel, sauber und bieten einen schönen Blick auf die Stadt oder den Wald. Einzig die Mitarbeiter wirken teilweise nicht sonderlich professionell und freundlich, wie es sich für ein 5 Sterne-Haus gehört. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Der Wellnessbereich ist klein und sicher kein Highlight. Dafür gibt es in Karlsbad auch andere Alternativen um Wellness zu machen.

Das Personal war nett, das Essen war gut und das Hotel sehr schön. Das Spa bräuchte jedoch mal eine Erneuerung und für unseren Geschmack war das Durchschnittsalter der Hotelgäste einfach zu hoch. Das liegt aber wohl eher am Ort also am Hotel. Es war ein sehr hochwertiger, luxuriöser Aufenthalt. Dass man an der Bar Iqos rauchen durfte hat uns gefallen!

Eigentlich ein gepflegtes schönes Hotel, mit großzügigen Zimmern (Junior Suite). Allerdings sind diese mit sehr unbequemen Kissen ausgestattet. Möchte man gute Kissen, geht dies nur über die separate Buchung eines „Kissenmenüs“. Ein gebuchtes drittes Bett für Kinder ist kaum zumutbar. Leider wird in diesem Hotel, trotz vorheriger Kontaktaufnahme, keinerlei Rücksicht auf Unverträglichkeiten (Zöliakie, zuckerarme Ernährung aufgrund medizinischer Notwendigkeit) genommen und das Personal ist diesbezüglich auch nicht verlässlich aussagefähig, entsprechende Beschriftung der Speisen gibt es nicht. Abgesehen davon ist die Qualität der Speisen durchschnitt. Spa-Bereich leider ebenfalls sehr klein und in die Jahre gekommen. Wirklich schade, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt gar nicht.

Schönes Hotel, essen war ok, aber mehr auch nicht. Im Café Paris war das Essen sehr gut! Die Bezeichnung Spa ist leider deutlich übertrieben; es gibt lediglich eine in die Jahre gekommene finnische Sauna, dunkel und ohne Aufguss!!

Imposanter Bau, der in die Jahre gekommen ist, aber immer noch das Gefühl gibt, in etwas Besonderem in exponierter Lage untergebracht zu sein. Allerdings rechtfertigen aus meiner Sicht der Spa-Bereich, die Verpflegung und die Parkmöglichkeit keine fünf Sterne.

Das Hotel liegt über Karlsbad und macht einen imposanten Eindruck von außen und innen. Das Personal war überwiegend freundlich. Insgesamt war es sauber. Als Wellnesshotel kann man es jedoch nicht bezeichnen. Man kann viele Anwendungen buchen, aber der “Wellnessbereich” umfasst ein Schwimmbecken und 2 Whirlpools sowie ca. 15 Liegen. Für die Größe des Hotels und die Bezeichnung als “Spa” ist das nicht das, was man erwartet. Man erreicht die Innenstadt per Seilbahn oder Bus.

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage. Mit der Seilbahn (kostenlos für Hotelgäste) und zu Fuß auch schnell zu erreichen. Die Rezeption verträgt mal eine Reinigung. Sonst ist alles gepflegt. Die Speisenauswahl ist gut, könnte aber für ein fünf Sterne Hotel umfangreicher sein.
