Good but smallush

The room & bathroom was a little small but bed was comfortable. Room, bedding & bath towels were clean. There was no room to sit down to eat even though there was a small kitchenette so we ate out at High Street Eatery (highly recommended- walking distance). Staff were good & helpful. Quiet area even though some guests were not. Overall a good overnight stay before flying home.

The management was very obliging and went out of their way to meet our needs.

It’s walkable to some attractive points,

Decent comfortable bed, facilities for cooking and laundry, quiet, full size fridge, aircon - nothing to complain about.

I am not sure about the noises from somewhere. Strong base sounds, feels like a club. It is quite bad and serious

Good location. We had a studio room that was pretty tight for space but good for what we wanted for a couple of days. Laundry facilities were very handy. Staff friendly and helpful.

Morden and new, very bright early in the morning as there are windows in the celling with no blinds. if you could black them out I would rate it 10/10.

Rooms on the smaller side, but clean and convenient with an easy walk to the bus station.

Great place to stay in a great part of town. Only drawback was the draft coming in under the front door.

Good room with a huge balcony. Limited on-premises parking that has to be booked in advice. Public parking nearby has very inconvenient payment options - you can only pay for 12 hours at a time.

Brilliant location for exploring the city and Hagley Park.

A great place to stay in Christchurch. Close to public transport yet very near the city centre. There is a great choice of eateries nearby

On arrival, found that the bedsheet was dirty with stains. We arrived very late at the hotel so next day I compained about it and the receptionist flatly refused to accept the fact that the sheet was stained and showed the photos of the bedsheet. Also there was no parking for us and we were told that we should have prebooked a spot and do send and email to state that one needs to prebook but we did not receive an email or any notification to the prebooking parking space. Had we known there we were not going be allocated a space we would have booked our stay elsewhere in Christchurch. The 3rd day receptionist was very helpful and suggested an off street parking.

Studio room is great for solo travellers. Good location. Friendly staff.

2 rooms were booked but one room was found belonging left in the room by previous guests or someone else i.e. the room had not been completely checked and cleaned.

Excellent location to explore the city. Very modern and comforrable. Reception manned 24 hrs so good for arriving on flight during early hours. Plenty of eateries close by and within walking distance. Close to Hop on and off vintage tram route.

They told me that I needed to contact them. I had a time so I can reserve parking in their parking lot when I looked on the website it said that they had parking lot when I got there. They says oh well our parking lot is full and you should let us know ahead of time just go park out on the street. Was very lucky to find one parking space. Not located in the best of neighborhoods.

We stayed for 1 night. The room was really spacious and clean. Nice comfortable beds, bathroom was spacious and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay, staff are very nice and friendly. Really quiet at night. No had no issues.We will come back and stay for longer. Thanks team keep it up.

Great location and very clean!

This is my go to for staying in Christchurch for work. Clean warm and great staff. Pricing is also great. Couple of the ground floor studios can be noisy but nothing ear plugs couldn’t handle.

Lovely apartment in a great location for being a tourist to the city. Amazing cafes very close by, the Tram stop close by too. Easy to walk into the city to look around. Beds were comfortable and having two bathrooms was a nice surprise.

Same as I posted in Google Reviews: The hotel is great for its price! Modest, clean, affordable and a great location. I truly appreciate that they have a complete set of amenities, even the simple ones such as coffee, tea, and chocolate drink which there is a generous amount. The reception is very informative and very helpful. I just spent my entire day walking and exploring and I'm so glad the hotel is surrounded by the botanical garden, riverside market, restaurants, and you can find mini marts all over the place. Super close to the Intercity bus stop also!

The 2 bedrooms executive apartment is big, clean and Southwark is within walking distance to the bus depot and city center but there is only 1 central heater for the whole apartment so some areas can be cold or other area hot! ( we stayed in winter) and also the sky window in the living room leaks when it rained.

We loved how quiet and handy to the cbd this was. We walked into town and had great food at riverside.nz and a good nights sleep in comfortable beds. The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. Thanks team!

The executive suite had leaks, bathroom exhaust was very noisy..

My go to when in town - easy walking in to the city proper, easy walking to where I need to get to. Only issue there is very limited parking so suggest you book your parking spot if driving pronto.

Hassle free and nice small motel, good for short stay at Christchurch.

Basic room only good for sleeping but good value

I stayed in the basic room and it was fine for just sleeping over, if your doing anything more than just sleeping get the nicer rooms, they are really good. Overall value for money.

Very limited car parking in store.

We only had one night here but what a fabulous place. Great selection of restaurants across the road and a short walk to the Cathedral.

Great place to stay. Everything was literally within 2min walk. Shops, chemist, cafe etc. staff were great and rooms were very comfy. Our new accommodation now every time we will visit home.

We booked a courtyard view apartment but opened directly onto a Tarmac car park. Noise from the apartment upstairs on the first night went on for hours resulting in a major lack of sleep.

Enjoyed staying at Southwark, location is very good for access to central Christchurch, Hagley Park as well as having plenty of restaurant choices very close by. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Large rooms on a single level. Close to shops and lots of dinning options. Cafe right next door great for morning coffee, cafe can be a bit noisy if you want a sleepin though.

Had a really great stay. Location is pretty good really close to a lot of amenities. It was clean and pretty new still.

Great location

The apartments are in a perfect location with easy walking distance to things in the central city. If you are after a car park please ensure you contact the accommodation prior to travel. This point was buried in some 'small print' type conditions, so I missed this point snd ended up having to pay for a city car park in a very unprotected place and it cost me a lot for the two days. Also ensure you get a nice room, my room was in a very dark ground floor corner, virtually no good natural light. It felt dark and uninviting and the bathroom, though perfectly clean, had a very damp smell. And the room was next to a laundry room which was noisy from 8am till 9pm. It was a shame as the complex looks great and the staff were friendly.

Twin room ridiculously too small, to access beds had to walk sideways at end of beds and up the middle, only room for one bedside table/lamp. No room for two suitcases, had to step over, no hanging space, no wall hooks. No table, one plastic chair. Rude reception when asked for bigger room.

Lots of the hotel was still being built ( Spain in the 70’s??) but the location was good and lots of eateries nearby

We arrived to no parking when stated there was parking available!. We had a smokling balcany right next door to our room. Not a plesent experience. Room was nice and clean bed was very comfy

the rooms were terrible small. you could hardly walk around in the room with a queen bed. the bathrooms were tiny and the sinks were like a barbie doll house sink. There was no room in the bathroom to even keep any of your toiletries. Ver very tight in space and the pictures on the website are very deceiving

Nice comfortable unit and good location

We really liked how close we were to the city centre and enjoyed walking around admiring Christchurch, it's murals and the contemporary architecture.

Could not get into our room at 2pm . No parking even after paying a premium for this accommodation. If it had been a normal work day you would have been ticketed or towed

Christchurch

Our stay was as expected. A small apartment - mainly used just for a place to sleep. If you wanted to spend several days you might find it a little cramped for space.

It was the perfect location for our event in the city just around the corner

Excellent stay

Great hotel/apartment. The staff were very accommodating. Nice location everything is within 15 to 20 minutes walk.

Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and new. Was a little loud. Room said it had a washing machine but it didn’t. Overall was good and would stay again.

What's nice and quiet, however Saturday night you could hear music from the club in the next block.

Always clean and tidy. Have used several times.
