Very helpful and friendly staff. Great choices of amenities and conveniently located. Enjoyed my stay very much.
Front desk area felt quite cramped and so did the room. We stayed at Toyoko inn and another Sotetsu Fresa inn nearby, and both had more space. Staff was helpful though as always.
I stayed at Sotesu Fresa Inn Kanda back in March of 2024. What was so amazing about the location was how close it efficient it was close to one of the Yamanote Lines (English friendly), there was a really cheap & heartwarming Ramen shop down the street a walk away, and the staff there were so nice and helpful! As of recently I traveled to Japan alone to experience life since I have stage 3 brain cancer, and Sotesu Fresa Inn Kanda made my life so much easier and so enjoyable! This is honestly the best place to stay if traveling to Tokyo!
This is our second Sotetsu property stay so we already came in with some idea of what the chain brings. Expect a lot of nice amenities at this site despite rather cramped rooms and a rather business-centric location. There are a ton of amenities to take advantage of at Sotetsu properties- we really enjoyed the free take as you need sunscreen and moisturizing face masks. The one amenity that is a bit lacking is room. Granted, we got two huge double beds in our room, but this meant that it took up almost the entire room so there was very little floor space and so we were playing a bit of tetris with our luggage. The room does have a tiny fridge underneath the desk but lacks a microwave, you'll need to head to the 2nd floor for a shared one as well as a coin laundry. The room condition was fine overall but was noticeably more dated than our Sotetsu property in Kyoto. As for the general area, Kanda is very business-centric and you'll see a lot of silent salarymen marching every morning and evening. This does mean there's a lot of evening hang out sites for yakitori, but not a lot in terms of groceries or tourist-centric shops. We chose the location primarily because of the many subway lines nearby. It's one stop away from Tokyo/Akihabara, and also has easy access to the Ginza line. I will add a specific shoutout to the front staff at the location. We had a bit of a clogged sink and the front clerk took it upon himself to inspect and fix our sink, outstanding service!
Room was a bit small and the AC takes some time to rev up but good price for the location. Very clean, staff is very helpful.
Hotel check in and check out was very convenient, staff was helpful. Clean pj's and presser on every level near the elevator for easy grab. Toiletries were available a by check in counter. Many electronics available to rent for usage, including hair straighten and curl hair blower, many more. Laundry and ice machine easy access. We booked a twin bed, and there were not many spaces for our 2 medium baggage and 2 carryon baggage, however, the bathroom was spacious than most japan hotel we have stayed. The toilet does not warm up, but all other function works the same as other japan toilets. The tub is fairly decent size, the hand held shower handle is very good, water is strong and hot enough if needed. The shampoo/conditioner and body soap is good. Offered baggage storage and baggage delivery service. Baggage delivery must book by 11pm the day before for the day at 9am drop off, because they must make book and payment same time. We misunderstood and didn't realized there was a booking time, as we thought it's the same as the previous hotel we stayed at that we can line up and process before the cut off time. This can be same day delivery, 9am drop off, delivered from 4pm (please check with the counter on destination date and time requirement). Our flight was at 4pm at haneda, so same day delivery does not work, applied to 7-11 (next door). Many convenience store. Quiet, potentially can overslept. Walkable to Kanda station (FYI, South Exit from MTR). You welcome!
The room is tiny as expected in Tokyo. The staff there is really great and there is a 7/11 next door and a familymart across the street which is amazing for late night snacks. It's in a quiet area and walkable to the nearest station. They had luggage storage which was great and convenient. I did it find it weird that you needed to shower with the bathroom door closed because it could set off fire prevention devices. The breakfast buffet is really simple but gets the job done. Overall it was a great stay.
Staff, amenities and cleanliness is very good. Location is fairly close to main metro station lines. Quiet and extremely safe. The area is between two major hubs (Ueno and Ginza) while being very close to Tokyo station which is very good if you plant to take the shinkansen. Rooms are small which is normal for Japan, but some rooms are effectively windowless since many rooms face the neighboring buildings.
A great little hotel for a couple travelers in Kanda. We loved the quiet neighborhood. Lots of restaurants around, and a konbini not far. Perfect to stay at for a few days.
Staff were extremely helpful. Walls between rooms are not soundproof and we couldn’t sleep our first night because of a loud snorer in the next room. Staff facilitated a room change for the next night, which solved the problem. They were also extremely accommodating about luggage storage and gave us a spot so we could reorganize our bags before our flight home.
It was a comfortable stay with amenities available and attentive staff! Despite the small room (expected as it is Tokyo), I felt that it was clean, safe, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and coin laundry was easy to use.
My first time solo travelling to Tokyo and as a guest in this hotel, room space was decent for solo traveler (I'm 180cm tall), but probably a bit small for 2 if you're booking moderate double. There was a mini fridge-freezer in the room. It doesn't have much space, but it gets the job done, tho the freezer section only has tiny space, so if you buy some ice cream cone from 7-11, it probably won't fit. There was amenities you can take at reception counter, but personally I recommend you take your own toothbrush, since the brush of the toothbrush they provided is too hard for me. Pros: - 5 to 7 mins walk to Kanda Sta. - 10 to 15 mins walk to Akihabara. - Convenient transportation, 15-20 mins ride to Shinjuku, Asakusa, Skytree, etc. - A 7-11 located right next to the hotel. - Quite a lot of dining options near the hotel, especially Izakayas, tho most of it was near Kanda station. - The area was pretty quiet, which is a pro for me since I don't like noisy area. - The staff was super friendly and helpful. Cons: - Only have 2 washing machine and dryer each, every time I finished washing my clothes, the dryers were still occupied, so I have to go to a self-service laundry shop to complete the drying which is annoying. Hope they could replace it with 2 in 1 washer-dryer instead. - Area around the hotel was quite dull, if you are looking for any amazing sights nearby, office buildings are what you might saw. (Which is a pro for me actually since I don't like noisy areas)
Everything was just as i needed.
Enjoyed our stay at multiple Fresa Inn's. Safe and clean hotels within walking distance of all areas, without being disturbed with large crowds and loud noises.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating. There is not much space around the beds so that is a factor to consider if you have lots of luggage.
Great location
Near the station which has a lot of local restaurants to eat at. Located on the Yamanote line for convenient transport to other major transport hubs in Tokyo.
soso place
Great value and super convenient walking distance to Kanda station, with multiple convenience stores steps away. The property could do with a little more renovations and updates. Breakfast buffet option was nice for the first few days, then got repetitive very quickly and ended up skipping breakfast half my stay. It would be nice if there were more offerings in the breakfast buffet, or some type of daily changes to keep things fresh for guests staying longer. Overall, if you're looking for a great place to sleep and don't have high expectations, this is a great stay on a budget.
Fantastic hotel! Great rooms, friendly and helpful staff, quiet location and very easy access to the station. I’ve visited this hotel previously and will definitely stay here again in the future!
I like their customer service the most.
Nice and clean hotel. But the room is a bit too small.
Fantastic location in Kanda, access to plenty of combinis and close to Kanda Station. Plenty of restaurants nearby too. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the amenities available in the hotel were outstanding.
Direct access from subway station, near enough to the main attractions in Tokyo. Room a little small but manageable for two.
very nice hotel! not made for long stays but i stayed for 16 nights and it wasn’t that bad. room was small but not too small, i was able to fit 4 suitcases in the room and still be able to walk somewhat comfortably around the room. 5 min walk to train station, comfortable beds, great attentive staff & good service. also right next door to a 7 eleven which was really convenient
Near JR station
Close to Kanda station that connects to the major train stations and major landmarks. I liked how it is in a quiet neighborhood which was helpful when you need quiet to go to sleep. 7-Eleven is conveniently located right beside the hotel. They have an ice machine and washer and dryer on the 2nd floor that you can easily use anytime. Staff are friendly. Rooms are small but rooms are small in most hotels in Tokyo. Overall I was happy with my stay here.
Staff was cordial. It is close to station and other shopping places.
Pleasant surprise!!!
Facility is very well maintained by the hotel staffs. Clean room, clean elevator and clean hallways. Closely located, 5 minutes walking distance away from the Train station. Larger and comfortable bed compare to the other competing hotels. 7/11 located right next to the front entrance is a big plus. I have no complaints. Will stay here again
I booked this because it just 3 stops to Shinjuku, 1 stop to Tokyo station and Akihabara, and short time to Sugamo and take the Tokyo Sakura Tram. My room Hollywood Twim 172 sq ft. I didn't expect it's so tight to accommodate just 1 of me, but have 2 large double beds to consume all the spaces of the room. My 24" suitcase can only place in front of the front door and next to the bathroom door, I stayed 5 nights, and mind to avoid kicking my suitcase every day. They provide laundry, which wash and dry is separate machine. Washing is normal function, however the dryer is not what you expected. After 30 minutes, my clothes are still in the same moisture condition. Hope they can improve this. Oher than that, the streets near the Kanda station are still very attractive and worth to visit if you are a food lover.
Area was quiet, away from the crowd of people. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Room was too small for a couple. Nice beds but too cramped, no room for suitcases.
Sotetsu Fressa Inn was walking distance from Kanda Station, which easily connects you to so many parts of Tokyo. The staff was friendly and helpful. They also have a number of items for you to enjoy down at the lobby: bath salts, hair products, delicious tea, etc. They are also conveniently located next to a 7/11 in case you get back late and need a snack. Lovely stay. Thank you, Sotetsu Fresa Inn!
Clean and friendly staffs
Perfect for travelers on a budget
Affordable, yet small rooms, but I'm the type of traveler that just needs a bed, thus this was perfect for a quick trip to Tokyo. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The bathroom had your typical Japanese toilet, plus a deep bathtub. The lobby provided lots of free amenities such as free toiletries (i.e. razors, toothbrushes, q-tips, hair gel, bath salts). I used the bath salts to take a nice relaxing hot bath. This may be a small unit, but I made the best of it. There's a TV, but it only has Japanese channels so if you don't speak the language, use your smartphone or laptop for entertainment. You're just two blocks from the train station so you can get anywhere you want in Tokyo easily (the train station is one station away from Tokyo for more options such as the Shinkansen trains). Perfect for travelers on a budget that want to be in the heart of Tokyo.
Window glass is frosted glass and can’t see out side at all.
Great location close to Kanda train station and subway access. 711 is right next door which is convenient. Stayed here on two occasions at the beginning and end of my trip. On the second occasion my room wasn’t clean so they quickly moved me to a new room.
Great location close to the train and there’s a 711 next door which is super convenient. Looking forward to my next stay here.
Stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed my stay. Staff are very helpful. The check-in is very easy. The room was comfortable and modern. The hotel is close to public transport and the neighbourhood is safe. As a female, I felt safe walking around this area. I’m really happy I stayed at this hotel. I had a very positive experience! I will definitely stay here again when I visit Tokyo.
It was convenient place, clean, quiet and nice stuff.
Good
Convenient location and clean
The hotel was well located being near to Kanda train station which is only one stop from Tokyo station. We bought the Narita Express round trip rain ticket (4070 yen pp) which covered the journey from Narita airport to Kanda station (change at Tokyo station) and return. The return ticket is valid for 14 days and the return trip seat can be reserved later at a JR East office at Tokyo station and we were told that it can also be reserved on a vending machine. We had a room with 2 semi double beds. The room itself is quite small, mainly because the beds take up so much space and required some manoeuvering to get out of the room since we had 2 large suitcases and also 2 hand luggage. The beds themselves are comfortable and we were given both firm and softer pillows, both were fine.Everything was clean and I am surprised that there is a bath , not just a shower. It was good to have coin washers/dryers available and we did 4 loads during our stay. I borrowed the iron and board from the hotel. The staff very were friendly and helpful. I would return to this hotel again if in Toyko.
Great stay, 5-6 mins walking to Kanda station where u can get JR trains and Subways
5-7mins walk to Kanda station where you can take JR lines and subway lines, lots of restaurants and convenient stores are nearby. Unlike Shinjuku or Harajuku, it’s a quiet neighborhood at night but safe. Typical Japanese-sized hotel rooms that are small compared to North American’s, but it doesn’t bother us, great amenities.
The location was nice and quiet and relatively close to the Kanda JR station (~10 min walk). Staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The room was clean but not a lot of space for 2 people with luggages, although it was manageable, but that's Japan for you. The only downside is that their dryers sometimes takes a long time to dry clothes after washing them, and there would be multiple guests wanting to use their laundry facilities, it can take a long time to do your laundry. Other than that, a pleasant stay. ^_^
Good Hotel
Very nice, budget friendly hotel! Room was very clean and comfortable. It’s in a very quiet neighborhood and crammed between buildings (our window faced a wall). Staff is very nice; however, the breakfast and it’s service was lacking.
Nice on the outside but room was disappointing
Rooms had windows that looks into the next building's wall. I paid more for a larger room but it too also had window that looked into a wall. So there is little sunlight coming in. Room design was poor and bedding and pillows not as comfortable. The building and reception looks really posh but the room setup failed to impress. There are smaller rooms in other hotels where the furniture are better organised than this. They had to change me to another room because the aircon/heater broke after 15 mins in the room. The replacement room aircon/heater was ok.
Everything was ok nothing to complain about but felt I had what I paid for..their effort to cut the cost was visible
Clean and good device. Very good overall. Nice location
Pretty good hotel close by metro.
Nice hotel, a lot of extra free toiletries and tea by the front desk. Small room, but that's normal there. The comforter was clean but worn looking, could be replaced. One of the pillows was hard, but you can ask for softer ones. 5 min walk from metro that goes to ask the main areas. There are restaurants around the hotel and walkable to Akihabara.
Great location, the room and bathroom are really clean, I feel relaxed staying there.
Excellent location ! Large bed ! But cleanliness still have room to improve. We found a lot of hairs on bedsheet and in toilet.
Small room but convenient Why you don’t have free water ?
Location was great for access to nearby subway stations. Room was tiny (as expected for Tokyo) but clean. The bed was very firm (almost too firm if you aren't used to that). The check-out time of 10AM was on the early side but you can leave your luggage in the lobby before your flight.
Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kanda A great Hotel
The location was great and very friendly staff. Everything was immaculate and I'd stay there again next time I'm in Tokyo.
Easy to find. Very clean and fairly quiet. Close to train stations which was good. Only thing I noticed was they didn't provide any water in the room which other hotels for the same budget and size have. Not a big deal but would have been nice.
Nice and quiet hotel
The location is great, safe, accessible with rail, closed to many restaurants. Although the room is a little small, it is cosy, the bed is comfy, you get everything you would need with a hotel. It is quiet and clean, I prefer this hotel much more than my current hotel in Shinjuku. Will return! Recommended to solo travelers, and couples or family who would be out most of the time.
Acceptable distance from station. Nice & helpful staff
Worth it . Convenient. Very satisfied.
Amazing stay at Fresa inn kanda. Short stroll from lands station. Very good place to stay when in Tokyo-JR and Ginza line. Very convenient to go to Tsukiji maker, sensoji temple and Shinjuku!! At reception hotel provided free additional admenities such bath bombs, face masks, condoms, facial products, hair band etc Staff was friendly. Minimal English but good enough to understand standard conversation. Breakfast was an additional 800¥ Per person. Very standard breakfast, not a wide variety. Hotel is close to convenience stores and. Food eatery ( in alleys near by). Enjoyed my stay here tremendously. Worth every cent I payed for this hotel. Rooms are in the smaller side but it is expected for a standard Japanese hotel. Will come back again and stay here!
Nice hotel
Nice hotel 7 mins from station kanda. Has everything i need. Will stay again.
Tiny poor value for money
Tiny - hardly any room to walk in the room! Not again especially for £115 a night
Good to be next convenient store.
good
It’s a small Fresa Inn and the breakfast are this extremely limited. Otherwise, a nice business hotel.
Personale molto gentile e disponibile.
Very Good!
Great staff!
Staff were super friendly and helpful, rooms were comfortable and it's within a 5 minute walk to and from Kanda station!
