Good location, wonderful service

The service was amazing. The facilities are a bit old but the location is unbelievable and in general the hotel gives a very good value for money

Overall it is a good place to stay. Location is great, it is right on Nevsky ave. There are some cons: there is no elevator, so if you have a heavy bag, you'll have to drag it to 3rd/4th floor. It is noisy, people walking on the floor entire night.

Think twice before booking.

Don't be deceived by the picture. They gave me an attic room with low ceiling, telling me no more rooms available. There is no elevator so you will have to carry your luggage to your room. 135 steps to the attic room. Breakfast was meager. No choices.It was not a pleasant stay.

Great location for visitors

Great location for first time visitors to St. Petersburg. Located right in the centre on Nevsky Prospect, this hotel is a good base camp to see all the sights. Hotel is in historical district and therefore the building itself is quite old. Our room had a faulty electrical fuse where bumping the wall briefly would cause the fuse to trip. No elevators so it could be challenging for accessibility as you would need to walk up at least 4 floors. The rooms that face onto Nevsky Prospect could be quite noisy at night. Being a main arterial, there are lots of pedestrians on the street into the late hours of the night (lots of amenities are open throughout the night). A lot of locals also like to rip through the streets along the street into the wee mornings. Overall it is a good base camp and for the money it could be good value. If you’re looking for more modern hotels and amenities like an elevator, I would look elsewhere.

Nice little hotel

Nice hotel with a premium location. Very clean and friendly staff. After having an awful experience booking an apartment we moved to this place and enjoyed our stay. Just remember there is no lift in the building and the rooms are located in 3rd and 4th floor.

No complaints

Great place. No complaints at all. Clean, friendly staff, sound proof windows that can be opened for fresh air. Excellent breakfast included.

Excellent value for money

Clean, quiet, well-maintained and very close to the Hermitage. Helpful staff and excellent value for money. It's on Nevsky and so there can be some traffic noise at night - bring earplugs - but it's surprisingly quiet overall. I stayed for five nights and would certainly stay there again. As other reviews have noted, it's up four flights and there is no lift.

The photos on the site do not correspond to the actual hotel. The staff told us that they do not even have that type of a room. It was definitely not a junior suite we expected to get for this money. The room was very small. There was also supposed to be large sofa according to the description, however, there was only a fold-up cot, which was very uncomfortable to sleep for seven nights. The hotel is also located on the high third floor of an old building with no elevator or somebody available to help with your luggage.

Very central, clean and reasonably priced.

The hotel is hard to find as it is at the top of a rundown common stairway. Look for the entrance with a black canopy and adverts for the pizza restaurant on the 1st floor. Don't be put off by the climb up the stairs to the hotel reception on the 4th floor. The staff are very welcoming and speak great English. Our room was fresh, modern and quiet with a view over the main road. Rooms are on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors and there is no lift. Breakfast was the only disappointment, not much choice, poor quality and lukewarm. We chose to go to one of the main local restaurants instead. For the money and location we were very pleased with this hotel.

The Hotel was in a good location

114 steps to get to your room, no lift, no coffee facilities or fridge in the room. The air con in my room was only blowing cold air and my friend's room was so hot it was not pleasant at all. My bed blanket had a yellow stain on it. The breakfast lounge was small with no great variety of breakfast choices, it was extremely hot and uncomfortable and the air con was not working so we had to ask for a fan to be able to eat our breakfast, . They had no brochures available on tours or things to do in Russia, they managed however to book our taxi to get back to the airport.

Friendly hotel staff!!

The stay is great here, with reasonable pricing and great hotel staff. They are friendly and tried their very best to provide all needs. The small coffee corner opening 24/7 is also great for a coffee chat there. Just a minor point this there is no elevator in the building!

Didn't realize that it would have so many steps. Hard to find. Just a door in the middle of a busy block. Great location. Staff was very kind and helpful. Spoke very good English.

Great location, excellent service

Small clean centrally located Micro hotel

Sonata Nevsky is a Micro Hotel. First the negatives - It has 12 small rooms, that requires guests to climb between 5 to 7 segments of stairs. Now the positives - Staff is great, friendly, genuinely wanting to be helpful and hospitable. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is well made. All day complementary coffee, tea and pastries is cherry on the top. Location is outstanding, very close to Hermitage, landmark cathedrals, and canals.

Nice location and staff

It is not easy to find, but if you pay attention to the signs in the wall you ll find it. Be prepared to 5 levels of stairs. Clean and confortable room, a bit noisy because i had my window to the street, and thre is not a lot of isolation for corridor. Staff very friendly and helpfull Great location, 1 min to subway, 5 min to hermitage Would recommend and stay again

Сам отель и его месторасположение понравились. Осадок остался от заселения. На ресепшене дали схему прохода к апартаментам с неправильным кодом домофона, номер квартиры не указали вообще, девушка на ресепшене первый день работает, ничего не знает. Потратили нервы и время.

Bon emplacement mais le reste est mauvais

L’hôtel ne vaut pas un 3 étoiles. En France ça serait un 1 étoile je pense. L'entrée de l’hôtel est une pizzeria. Il faut monter plusieurs étages sans ascenseur pour arriver à la chambre. Il n'y a pas de lobby mais juste un comptoir. Le petit déjeuné est vraiment faible. A ce prix j'aurai préféré m'acheter quelque chose bien mieux dehors a manger. Ma chambre avait un plafond penché ce que je n'aime pas et mon drap était déchiré. Il ni a aucune carte électrique tout est a clé chambre et même le coffre fort. A la TV il y avait que des chaines russes. J'avais la possibilité de rester mais je suis parti des le lendemain pour un 4 étoiles. Le seul point positif est l'emplacement.

Остановилась в этом отеле на одну ночь. Уютный небольшой отельчик. Прекрасное расположение. Персонал отличный, номер комфортный. Мне достался с видом на внутренний двор, поэтому в номере было тихо. В течении дня можно выпить чай кофе бесплатно. Единственный минус- это отсутствие на улице вывески отеля или указателя. Нужно всматриваться в мелкие надписи у всех дверей в этом доме, чтобы отыскать вход.

Завтраки отвратительные.Каждый день недоваренная гречневая каша и яйца вареные. Остальное все пакетированное.

Nasz pokój znajdował się na 3 piętrze i to właściwie jedyny minus , bo nie ma tam windy, napewno nie jest to miejsce dla niepełnosprawnych czy starszych ludzi. I to właściwie jedyny minus Cała reszta to jeden wielki plus. Po prostu rewelacja -lokalizacja -czystość ( poprostu laboratoryjna steryloność ) -personel -wygodne łóżka długo by można zachwalać. Tak powinien wyglądać każdy hotel Gratuluję poziomu

В отеле все было хорошо: номер, чистота. расположение. Его было трудно найти (не было указателей) и персонал наотрез отказался выдавать чек об оплате услуг по проживанию. Что в принципе является нарушением прав. Спорить и пререкаться уже не было времени. Учитывая, что цель поездки была командировка, это оставило очень отрицательное впечатление.

メトロ駅すぐそば、ネフスキー通りやエルミタージュ美術館も徒歩圏内でアクセスが素晴らしい。エレベーター無しが難点。

Sjekket ut etter en natt.

Sentralt, men har lite med hotell å gjøre. Er som et rom i femte etasje uten heis. Resepsjon på størrelse med et telefonkiosk. Trist frokost. Sentralt plassert på Nevsky Prospekt, men jeg opplevde det som masete og uten pusterom.

Úbicacion ideal, y el personal muy predispuesto a colaborar en todo momento a pesar de las diferencias en el idioma siempre intentan ayudar, la verdad más que recomendable

Hotel sucio pero bien ubicado

Предоставили номер без вентиляции, напротив окон вытяжка из пиццерии, запах угара, поменять номер или вернуть деньги отказались, пришлось срочно переезжать в другой отель

Не плохо

Из плюсов: отличное расположение, все рядом; ежедневная уборка номера; чистое белье, полотенца; хорошая скорость wi-fi Из минусов: у нас был 5-ый этаж без лифта; очень скудный завтрак (может лучше и без него); Знаете, остановлюсь ли я тут снова- думаю да. Что хотелось бы добавить?- одноразовые тапочки, может это уровень след категории отеля, не знаю, но была бы им очень рада. На полу кавролин, наверное его пылесосят (не спорю), но до меня там же могли ходить обутыми ?-думаю да, поэтому очень хотела увидеть тапочки.

St Petersburg enkelt men trevligt hotell.

Hotellet har en perfekt placering. Nära sevärdigheter. Lite svart att hitta. Ligger i en trappuppgång till en pizzeria på tredje våningen. Trevlig hjälpsam personal. Frukosten kunde varit bättre. Oftast saknades något. Dvs de fyllde inte på kontinuerligt. Men sa man till så tog de fram.

Saint Petersbourg à pieds

Très bien situé cet hôtel est toutefois bruyant,du moins pour les chambres donnant sur la Perspective Nevski.Si de plus elles sont au 3eme étage sans ascenseur,il vaut mieux être jeune.Le personnel est charmant,et l'impression globale est très bonne,même si le prix est élevé

Все понравилось! Отель очень хороший,расположение просто в 1 минутной доступности.

Великолепное расположение для пеших прогулок по историческому центру Питера. Выдти утром напротив арки Генштаба редкое удовольствие. Единственный минус крайне сдержанное информирование вновь прибывающих гостей. Розыск ресепшн по 3 этажам напрягает. Могли бы и внятную табличку повесить.

Erinomainen majoitus Eremitaasin nurkilla!

Hotelli on aivan uusi, erittäin siisti ja loistavassa paikassa. Juniorisviitti oli neljän hengen perheelle mukavan väljä ja poreamme kiva. Täysin hiljaista ainakin pihan puolella, vaikka Nevskin varrella. Henkilökunta ystävällistä ja kielitaitoista. Talon ylimmässä kerroksessa, ei hissiä. Aamiainen itsepalvelumeiningillä mutta ok. Eremitaasiin alle puoli kilometriä.

Fremragende beliggenhed

Spøjs indgang fra gaden op af trappen (ingen elevator) af 116 trin til en anonym dør hvor der ligger et lille dejligt hotel med 8 værelser og 2 suiter. Søde og hjælpsomme piger i receptionen. Selv om morgenmaden ikke var stor, vad det ok. Mere centralt end dette sted bliver det næppe. Fri WIFI der virkede (efter at en pige i receptionen øjeblikkeligt genstartede det). Ganske glimrende og anbefalelsesværdigt (mange trin uden elevator).
