A wonderful hotel and location. Incredible breakfast that came with the stay. The staff were always friendly and respectful. I would highly recommend!

From the minute we walked into the hotel right up until we said our goodbyes we were treated like royalty. Lily's customer service was flawless and she wasnt just going through the formalities as you expect, she went above and beyond and you could see she was very passionate about her job and making sure we had the most relaxed carefree stay. Its a very unique quirky hotel but done well. The rooftop bar was great and the breakfast had a great selection.

Most wonderful staff and hotel in Hanoi

This hotel is an absolute little gem of a find in Hanoi. The staff are amazing and from the minute we arrived we felt very cared for. The room was immaculate and comfty with great amenities. The location was perfect and close to the lake and all activities yet also super quiet at night for a great nights sleep. I had liaised previously with the hotel regarding transfers to Ninh Binh and airport pick ups and they organised everything smoothly for me. Ryan was great in messaging and confirming everything. Breakfast was lovely and a great menu All in all we loved this hotel and the staff are absolutely amazing. Would definitely return if coming back to Hanoi

Our stay at Solaria was exceptional. Morning breakfast was exceptional and the cocktail bar is top notch. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. Mia’s on the ground floor is lovely and the food was fabulous. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and even better staff. Amazing service provided to us from check-in, suggestions for sight seeing and restaurants and booking excursions. Ryan at Solaria went far beyond expectations to ensure our time in Vietnam was amazing. Highly recommend!

Outstanding service, great location.

Top location and hospitality

Staff are incredibly attentive and thoughtful, they remember our names and even room numbers! Breakfast was pretty good with a nice selection on their cooked to order menu. The location is fantastic. The restaurant and spa are lovely too. I was concerned I wouldn’t like the food at MIAs restaurants because they cater to a western clientele but the food was delicious. My only feedback is the rooms have a bit of light that we can’t turn off and bothered us slightly

great hotel stay in hanoi!

this was a perfect location in central hanoi right next to the lake. perfect for morning strolls just a 3-4 min walk from the hotel. the hotel also had free breakfast on the top floor. the room we got was perfect for 4 people and very modern and spacious. service was great! the massage though was just alright.

All staffs are very friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

I liked the breakfast I liked the staff who wer very friendly and helpful I didn’t like the blinds on the windows they were broken and not working. The room didn’t have a nice view though it said I will get it when I booked it. The room was dark even during the day.i liked the location very convenient to places I wanted to go. Not sure if I will book there again in the future.

Solaria Hotel has service that I never saw before even in the most expensive hotels. When we arrived I very casually mentioned to DAVID that we were in Vietnam to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The next day at breakfast they were waiting for us with a dessert with "Happy Anniversary" on it. Team was always giving us tips & tricks, making sure everything was fine, etc. SUSAN and GRACE as well as TRAN were some of the most helpful although everyone was nice. When we left today they came to bring us to the bus that picked us up. Apart from service, rooms are very clean and nicely decorated, big and comfortable beds, excellent free breakfast with buffet made-to-order selections and... A great location, 60 feet away from the Hoan Kiem Lake.

Great staff great place

Great employees, they were so helpful and friendly. No view out the window and the room was a little small but that was fine. We could walk to everything in the old town area. Rooftop bar was fun with great views.

The room need maintenance required, there were 5 of us and we don't feel comfortable during our stay. But the staffs are excelent nice and helful.

We stayed at Solaria in Hanoi for New Years Eve. We enjoyed the facilities and especially the SkyBar. The location is fantastic, close to everything and very convenient. The beds are comfortable and the large bathtub was a special touch. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We would stay again, Nice Job Solaria!!

Awesome location with great bed

This hotel is an awesome hotel with a great location. But the streets close around the lake on the weekend's which make it hard to get grabs/taxis.

Really good stay

Really good stay. Great service, and wonderful rooftop bar. The only negative was that for our family, the family connecting room had no doors between the two beds. Some doors, even sliding doors, would give a sense of privacy between the two spaces.

Wonderful experience. The staff go above and beyond. Rooftop bar was lovely, spa was relaxing, and bedroom was small but just what we needed. Only thing was the walls were thin and we could hear hallway noise. But outside of that, perfect! I would definitely stay again or recommend

Excellent hotel location with excellent staffs who are friendly and helpful! Susan and Lily had made our stay amazing with great guide to where to eat and play. Thye recognised you once you are checked in and felt like home at breakfast to our preference! Even went extra mile to help us with every of our requests:) Love this place and will come again!

Overall great experience for the convenience of its location. It's a short stroll away from Hoan Kiem lake which is in the Old Quarter which offers a variety of local food and shopping options. One issue is the entrance of the property whereby you'll need to have your luggage carried up a short staircase to reach the front door. Without the help of staff, it'd be difficult to carry your luggage up if you don't travel light. The room i stayed was a tard small but had been warned by the receiption staff due to its location in the prime area, the room sizes are small. Other than that the hotel is known for great customer service and I will give credit to their effort in differentiating themselves from other local providers where the customer service department could be improved.

Great place to stay!

Awesome place right in the heart of the Old Quarter.

This hotel definitely stood out for my husband and me! We started with an orientation with Lilly who gave us all the necessary information to enjoy Hanoi, from recommended food spots to different attractions and even street crossing and bargaining tips ! The service was exceptional from the very start and maintained the same level throughout our stay. We also booked a 3day cruise to Ha Long Bay with the support of the Solaria staff. Before our departure for the cruise, the team prepared us a complimentary bag with fruits, water and snacks for the long car ride (very thoughtful!) The hotel also has a beautiful rooftop lounge, perfect for sunsets! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in Hanoi!

Hanoi's best

An absolutely superb hotel, with the kindest of staff, great rooms, a wonderful rooftop bar and breakfast too. I cannot find any fault with the Solaria hotel, it was without a doubt one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.

Exceptional customer service at Solaria hotel. Lily at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure my solo stay is welcoming and memorable. The fully body massage at the spa was top notch. The location is central to everything and breakfast is delicious. The downside was that the only elevator broke while I was there so everyone needed to use stairs regardless of their floor. It didn’t bother me as the porter helped me with my luggage. However, it might be an issue for other tourists. Perhaps, it is normal in Vietnam so may not be unique to Solaria hotel. I would stay in this hotel again.

Very nice hotel friendly staff, walkable, convenient location, very good food.

This hotel is run by the kindest, friendliest people you could ever hope to meet. Everyone from the doormen to housekeeping has a smile. The receptionists are all cheerful and chatty and happy to help you figure out the best way to go about your daily plans. I stayed here 3 nights over two separate stays and when I came back after 2 days, they greeted me like I was a long lost friend. I honestly can’t think of another hotel experience where I felt so well looked after. Add to that the clean, modern rooms, the super prime location, the generous breakfast, and the excellent spa that comes at a discount, and I don’t see how you can help but have an amazing stay. I’d give 100 stars if I could. Definitely stay here!

Overall customer service experience was excellent. Provided feedback to hotel upon check out on some short fall on amenities and ambience, they made recovery. Impressive!

Ryan, Grace and the other staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to offer recommendations and tips about the area and made sure we were comfortable. The room was clean and spacious, the complimentary breakfast was delicious and the rooftop bar was great for relaxing and enjoying a drink. Highly recommend Solaria for your trip to Hanoi!

A good hotel, in a very bustling location.

The photos are a little deceiving compared to what you get at the hotel. The staff are incredibly helpful and made our stay as pleasant as possible. Staying in the Old Quarter, you cannot escape the constant noise of cars and motorbikes hooting - from early morning until late at night! This permeates into the room, even with windows closed, so be mindful of that. The location is good and close to exploring everything within the Old Quarter. Be prepared though - the area is very dirty, smelly, a barrage of traffic all the time and the noise is constant. We noticed the lack of mopping the tiled floors during our stay (we stayed a total of 4 nights) and during that time, neither the room or the bathroom tiles were ever mopped, which was disappointing. The rooftop bar is nice and the staff are super friendly and helpful, but you look over a very dilapidated and grubby buildings which detracts from the aesthetic of the rooftop bar set up. The food is very good and we detracted from the Western style breakfasts to sample the Eastern cuisine. The stir-fried chicken with glass noodles was an absolute sensation and well recommended. Overall, a good hotel, but you need to be prepared for the location and the lack of cleaning effort that goes into the rooms. The staff are very attentive and make up for it in their fantastic service and helpfulness.

The smiles and service that the staff from this hotel provided us during the trip was very impressive, it is really hard to beat! Special thanks to Liam for planning my family s trip to Halong Bay and Sapa and make it so smooth, comfortable and worry-free and to Lily for her contagious good mood at the reception.

Solaria is truly a gem. The people who work there make this hotel 100/10. Extremely helpful and kind. I’ve never had such great customer service at any hotel I stayed at. Highly recommend.

Great boutique property in the heart of the city. Easy access to everything with many dining options and a super cool rooftop bar. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of local options and western if that's your thing. Comfortable beds, pleasant staff, and clean. Would stay again!

We just spent four wonderful nights at thr Solaria Hotel in Hanoi. It was a great stay with our two young boys. The inter-connecting option worked really well in terms of space. The breakfast was lovely also. The thing we enjoyed most was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, this was a real standout for us.

While we only had one night there the staff treated us like we were their best clients. I can’t say enough about their kindness and assistance. This property is well located in the Old Quarter Hanoi. It is close to all the activities of Hanoi’s Old Quarter . Our room was adequate for the length of stay . I know they have a range of rooms . Nice breakfast but a bit tight for space for this busy hotel . They had or good amenities that we didn’t get to use due to our short stay. It earns its 4 stars .

We enjoyed our stay at the Solaria. The Hotel is in a great location, the rooms and facilities are excellent. The staff were amazing, they were very helpful and friendly. We an early AM checkout as we were doing a cruise around Cat Ba island, at short notice the staff (I think it was Grace) arranged a delicious breakfast for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It’s a wonderful and clean hotel. The staff is wonderful. It is very close to the puppet theater and also a Michelin starred pho restaurant.

It was our first time staying in Hanoi and we had the best time. Our hotel was exceptional, the staff was really friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure me and my fiancé were comfortable and took care of everything we needed. The rooftop bar was our favorite, the drinks were the best we had. I would definitely recommend Solaria to my friends and family and would definitely stay here next time we are in Hanoi. See you soon!!!

This hotel was amazing. The cleanliness, service, breakfast, rooftop area, the welcome drink and cake, and the little leaving present. I was travelling solo and I felt safe the whole time. All staff were extremely friendly and attentive

Muy bien relación Calidad/Precio. El hotel es antiguo y las habitaciones pequeñas sin embargo considero que está en óptimas condiciones, se nota que se preocupan por darle mantenimiento. Está muy bien ubicado. El personal del hotel es lindísimo, súper amable, hablan inglés, quieren ayudarte con todo. El desayuno es delicioso, tienen una gran cantidad opciones con comida occidental pero también asiática para que puedas tener lo mejor de los dos. Recomiendo quedarte una tarde en el rooftop contemplando el atardecer y disfrutar la noche con la catedral iluminada de fondo, hacen un ambiente lindísimo.

A very stylish hotel in the heart of the historic district. The staff is extraordinary, and go above and beyond to make tourists’ stay pleasant. The hotel rooftop bar is cosy and offers a great view over the city, and the restaurant serves delicious traditional dishes. All throughout the hotel the staff master communication in English.

We’ve stayed in lots of hotels around the world but the service and the staff made this a truly memorable trip. Thank you.

Superb, always gracious hospitality!

We stayed here as a family of five. The staff were absolutely amazing, constantly going out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We were initially quite overwhelmed when we arrived as the reception area was very full and busy - if you experience this, please don’t let it deter you, this hotel is fabulous. We have stayed at many hotels during our 4 weeks in Vietnam and we all agree that Solaria had the best breakfast! Our bed was very hard, but as soon as we spoke to reception a topper was put on immediately and then it was great. The hotel is in a great location, right in the hustle and bustle - you can walk to eateries or for shopping, whilst also being quiet at night for sleeping. I really can’t stress enough how great the staff were and how enjoyable they made our stay. If you are a family you may want to request connecting rooms - giving you two bathrooms, as opposed to a family room which only has one.

Incredible staff

The most helpful staff I have ever encountered. The service was a bit slow on the rooftop bar and prevented us from getting deals in drinks but everything else was more than perfect. The breakfast was incredible

This was our second time staying at this hotel. I cannot say enough good things about the staff in this hotel. I wanted to recognize Susana for her excellent hospitality. She went out of her way to make sure we were happy with our stay. It was my wife birthday and she surprised her in the room with a créeme brûlée and a candle to sing happy birthday. All of the staff was excellent. We had three massages on our time there. Don’t miss out on eating at the restaurant downstairs MIA Restaurant for some local Vietnamese food. It was excellent

Trying to keep it short as i have a lot of good things to say! - Front desk (Liam) supported us with tour booking, airport pick up and direct hotel booking. All prices were competitive, Liam was very helpful and informative. - Front desk (Grace) helped with providing us with to go snacks when we were going to Sa Pa (even though we were no longer staying at the hotel). Team offered us to take a shower before and after the long ride. - When i forgot my wallet in a safety box, team reached out immediately and wallet was returned. - Going to Ha Long, hotel also kept our bags for multiple days, and again we were given some to go snacks. - Breakfast is amazing with a lot of variety: from passion fruit to pho. - All staff is super friendly. - Farewell present (vietnamese coffee) - Early check in and room upgrade. In short, what makes this place special is its staff. While these gestures were small, they are meaningful and i have never experiences so many positive things at one place. This place felt like home. Definitely recommend!

If there were more stars on this review I would give them over 5. The entire staff was helpful with a smile on their faces. The restaurant downstairs of the hotel was terrific authentic Vietnamese food. Love it. We wanted to stay one more night but they were sold out and they took our luggage to the new hotel while we were in an all day tour we had booked. Service overall was wonderful.

Solaria Hotel is wonderful, the location is great, the hotel staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home. We had a long flight in and the bed and room were perfect for a recovery night of sleep and time change adjustment. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the hotel rooftop bar has a great drink selection and a beautiful view of Hanoi. Hi highly recommend Solaria.

Location and friendly staffs

The hotel is nice with very friendly staff. I was glad we chose the king with balcony as it was a nice sized room with ample space. I saw a few other rooms in the floor and they were quite small. The breakfast had nice selections. The rooftop bar is ok.

I love this hotel! It was a great stay, from the room to the staff. Right next to hoan kiem lake, it takes about an hour to get to the hotel from the airport. And while the journey might be tiresome, being welcomed by warm smiles of the staff made it worth it. Lily introduced us to the hotel, the area and gave us tips for our stay in Hanoi. Helpfulness didn’t just end with her, each staff we sought help was ready to help us and that truly made the stay exceptional. The room itself was on the smaller side but that didn’t dampen the quality. It was comfortable, beautiful and well maintained. It provided great escape from the bustle of the city. Not that far from the main old quarter, everywhere was walkable for us. And even when we were tired and needed food/items, there were eateries and a grocery mart a short walk away. Overall, it was a great stay and it elevated my experience in Hanoi. I would definitely book this place again when I come back to Hanoi!

Great hotel. Amazing staff. Great breakfast buffet.

Great place within walking distance to a lot of attractions. Only complaint is my shower sprayed water up at the ceiling, asked for someone to fix it, someone came in but the problem was not resolved.

From the start the staff at Solaria made you feel welcome. The meet and greet was very good. The service from staff showing us our room was excellent. Location was great. Anything we asked or needed was very professionally dealt with. The spa treatment we had was outstanding.
