Well located Average attention
I had to change rooms, A/C was not working
Good hotel but with difficult policies
Not happy with the fact that the hotel prices the rooms in USD and not in local currency (unless they charge their exchange rate). Then when I paid in USD, reception had no change in USD.
Excellent stay
The staff are super friendly and understanding! I had a really good stay although I think they threw away two of my things by accident. I couldn’t find my knitting needles. It could have been mistaken as trash.
I really liked staying there. It's very nice for local standards. Some areas could have been a little better maintained
Lorena at the front desk was exceptional, very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.
I liked my stay at the hotel
Muy buen Desayuno
Super convenient location! Yet far away from the crazy lima traffic.
Good, safe, clean, and efficient hotel.
A good location, clean hotel. Arrived in Lima early in the morning but room was not available until after 2PM. I did not receive any special benefits for being a Hotels.com recognized member.
Rooms need maintenance..
Excellent
Indifferent service
Beautiful property but curiously indifferent service. The only hotel I stayed at Peru that didn't offer potable water.
Great Hotel in good location
Hotel located in a great location and bed very comfortable. Pool is small and cold though. Breakfast was great, the only thing is that the WiFi was very slow. Many food options around.
Recomended
Price. Centrally located in Miraflores. The beds are comfortable. CONS: staff lacks customer service skills. I was told one night outside food orders will be delivered to the room by the hotel personnel due to security concerns (very much appreciated ) the next morning the rules have changed. The hallways are very dark and dated and the room are lacking amenities (lotion, tissue, hair caps, soap bar) enough of blaming these issues to COVID! Front staff is very unfriendly. No room service.
Todo excelente y limpió
The Hotel is absolutely clean, and quiet. Is also in a very good location so that you can walk everywhere. Breakfast was 7/10 Service 10/10
The sheets from the bed I slept were stinky! Looks like they have not rented that room for a while .
Very nice
Hotel has a great location. Buffet was just ok. One suggestion add drinking water bottle in the room
Disappointing for the price
The hotel is well located but sadly the service is slow, reception staff were not really welcoming. It felt like they were doing me a favor and they're not really resourceful. Breakfast was ok but not exactly great for the price I paid. Careful cuz they charge 10% service fee.
Property is close to everything. The rooms need to have a bigger TV.
Love this hotel. Awesome room for the price. Service was great too. Food delicious
The location was good. The staff was pleasant. The concierge was helpful though we had to wait for him to return to his desk for quite awhile.
Great location; some ongoing renovations and construction made the stay noisy
Great location. Breakfast was awesome. Staff were very friendly.
Excelente personal y servicios. Transportación disponible 24/7. Restaurante clubes y servicios a pasos del hotel .
Very friendly staff. Buffett was excellent and nice selection . I had a very nice massage. I had a problem with my television one day but it was fixed very quickly . I will be back in February 2020 and will book again at del so oro . I was very happy with my stay here .
Good location
Difficulty with check in and staff not helpful. 80% fee for early check in as well. Beautiful rooftop pool in the pics is small deserted and cold. Great neighborhood
They over charge for everything, the breakfast very simple... Nothing really outstanding, they don’t have a real bar... The staff is very complicated, they want to charge for the plastic keys 5USD.
Nice place
Nice place for business stay. Will come back again.
Breakfast buffet was mediocre and hot food was cold
Everything was nice. Clean rooms nice staff, overall good.
The staff was so attentive from the moment of check in all the way through! Room is clean and updated.
they were doing construction above our room, very loud. they did not check the mini bar everyday, but tried to charge us as if we took things out everyday.
Great for business, not so much for couples
Great Location, had a newer room, suspect they are slowly renovating the building. Wasnt the best for a couple (asked for a king bed but got a twin room). Probably a better business hotel. Pool is very small and south facing, so not the warmest.
Major Construction being done, lots of noise. Expedia does not inform the customer that there will be lots of noise. They only show pretty pictures of the hotel. At check in the clerk took my passport, my credit card, my information and then he hands me a piece of paper telling me there is major construction all during the day and that it will be noisey. This is after he had done everything for check in including giving me the key to the room. I told him I did not think that was right, there should be info in the listing before the customer makes a reservation and shows up at the hotel letting them know about the major work and the noise. This is a business hotel, I was there to work and meet with clients. Super unprofessional not to disclose this information to the client before they make a reservation. Also, I had other problems. I left an order for breakfast outside of my room as directed by the hotel and in the morning, no coffee, no breakfast and the hanger was still on the door. I finally got my breakfast after 5 phone calls and waiting for over an hour after it was supposed to be delivered. I left the hotel and moved to another one for the remaining 2 weeks that I will be here in Miraflores. I won't be coming back.
They advertised our room as having a kitchenette but there were no cooking facilities. Just a microwave and refrigerator. I think they need to at least add a coffee maker.
Friendly staff, very clean room, good location, walking distance to the beach.
Big brother is watching.
Felt like I was in a prison. Had a guest and they were watching us on camera while we were spending money having drinks by the pool. Crazy. Then demanded they register. They sent security to the pool. Won’t stay here ever again.
Stay at the Aloft instead.
Was in town visiting the in laws and felt like we were being watched the entire time. No one answers the phone when you call but bring a nephew to the room and they are calling asking for identification for a 15 year old. We switched to the aloft for our last night mich nicer cleaner and newer.
The staff watched you like hawks. However, the hotel was located well and was clean.
Bathroom dirty and seat toilet doesnt work appropriate, no have washcloth in the room
We choose a room with our own personal hot tub. It was beautiful and very relaxing. The bed was super comfortable.
Everybody was very nice and helpful. Location of the hotel is perfect it was close to everything and is very safe.
All was good! Had little trouble in communicating in English.
Excellent location in the Miraflores district, walking distsnce to Kennedy park and the parls along the cliff tops.
Great location- a short walking distance to lots of shops, cafes, parks and great restaurants. The hotel was very clean and comfortable with friendly staff.
Centrally located. Attentive staff. Good sized room. Very clean
Overall good experience but after one week I still don't get a refund for a mistaken charge
I will definitely come back to this hotel again Price is great and service too
When had a wonderful experience! The hotel was clean, and the breakfast was great!
Great hospitality and great area to stay in. Shops, restaurants, and the beach is all,in walking distance.
The hotel is located very close to food areas , sightseeing and airport bus transportation. The location feels safe. The breakfast was great. I stay a week and the last night there I was woken up around 2am to a loud continuous sound(as if someone was doing some construction work next door) I called the front desk and apparently they spoke with the person next door who was trying to fill the tub as a result making that disturbing noise , they apologized and left. The noise continue for 15 more minutes. I was not able to catch my sleep and needed to wake up early for check out . Next day during check out bring the shy person I’m , I assumed they were going to say something and at least tried to make it up , nop . Instead they make to ask me if I consumed anything from the fridge so they can charge me right away. I learned my lesson , next time I’ll speak up. For the price you pay they should of at least give me some type of discount .
I had a visit of a friend of mine and we wanted to go to the room for a couple hours, and they wanted to charge $20.00 dollars for that. This happened about 10.00 in the morning. I consider this is a little irrational.
Excellent almost in every regard
Great location, great rooms, great restaurant and great service. I have only two complaints: 1. My shower was not up to standards: flow was always weak and temperature fluctuated all over the map due to usage by others, making it impossible to enjoy a good shower. 2. On one occasion when I had a guest come over, reception phoned me to tell me that visits carried a cost. My visit was only there for a few minutes, and my room was booked for two adults anyway. When I called them on this they immediately backed down; however, I found this to be very strange and arbitrary.
We chose this after working/traveling in the country for many weeks. It was supposed to be a treat. It was a absolute nightmare. Booked a Deluxe Suite - be WARNED. This is a windowless, hot room. The photo's show a TV in the lounge - there was no TV. It was a sparse, open room with a beat up sofa, and a small dining table in the back. Complete waste of money and space. The bedroom was fine. The advertised in-room spa was ok, but the ceiling was covered in disgusting mould. We asked if all the deluxe suits were like this, and were told they were. The second night, the air conditioning to our room went out, and weird noises started happening. At 10pm. We phoned the front desk, engineering came, and they said we had to move rooms. We moved...to a room with a TV in the lounge, no mould, and better lighting. Still, no windows. It's nice we were able to enjoy that for about 42 minutes. Really, really disappointing on all levels.
Friendly staff, prompt service and prices reasonable.
I would recommend staying at this hotel. Great location, clean, quiet and helpful staff.
Nice and safe hotel near to restaurants and shopping Quiet and safe streets to walk around.
Very good hotel. Staff was very helpful and property was clean and well looked after
5 Stars
Comfortable rooms, excellent service, great location
Beautiful hotel and room. Very spacious room.No room heating available and the provided space heater was useless. Not enough electrical outlet plugs. Good location. Good service. Good value, but come during summer, otherwise you will freeze!
Clean and convenient base for exploring Lima
Hotel Sol de Oro was a great base for exploring Lima. It's only a block from the stop of the Airport Express bus, so getting to the hotel from the airport is very easy. The hotel itself is very modern inside. We opted for the Superior Room which was great - wood floors, lots of space, comfortable bed, electric outlets that accommodated both European and US plugs (voltage is 220V in Peru so US appliances still need to be dual voltage or use a voltage converter) and had a small minibar which we used as a fridge. WiFi worked well. The room was very clean and the bathroom cosmetics was awesome, with cherry scent, which was very refreshing. The breakfast buffet was extensive, with something for everyone. Also, the beach and Larcomar shopping mall were very close, and Wong supermarket was a few blocks away. Would definitely recommend Sol de Oro as the perfect base in Lima
This hotel exceeded my expectations. Carlos was very helpful and kind! Beautiful room, will definitely stay again!
Staff was excellent hotel was clean and in a great area. Breakfast was good. Only complaint was the sheets r very scratchy
Hopefully our stay was abnormal
A 5 star hotel with no water from 11pm til 5am the first night there. My colleague woke up to a waterfall in the bathroom at 3am and workers banging on the door and speaking loudly til 4:30 am. When we checked out they offered to assume the charge for 1 bottle of water as compensation. Really?? Wow.
Very good location and staff very gentile.
Helpful staff
Terrific bellman/concierge. Outstanding location in Miraflores. Room was spotless. Rooftop has a decent view and a small pool. Gym is adequate and appreciated.
Nice Hotel in Miraflores
Really comfortable hotel with very accommodating staff. Also very close to the beach and several great restaurants and bars.
Excellent hotel, very clean, modern, and well managed.
Central, clean and comfortable
The staff were really good. We had problems with phone and aircon and within half an hour they had given us an upgrade of room without asking.
Close to main sites in Miraflores
7 minutes walk to Calle de las pizzas, 11 minutes walk to Larcomar, very modern clean quiet hotel. Hotel staff always asking if they could help on anything very polite. Walking around Miraflores is very secured I didn’t feel treat at anytime. Love the Area will definitely come back thank you Sol de Oro
World class restaurants I just a few steps away from the hotel. My stay was Great.
Nice Hotel In Lima
Amazing hotel right in the centre of everything.
Great location in Miraflores, down a quieter side street. Nice large modern rooms. Extensive buffet breakfast. Hardworking friendly and professional staff from the doormen to the cleaning staff.
But the hotel has more of a business feel to it vs a vacation feel. The pool was way smaller than the photo, but sitting on the top of the building was pretty cool.
Very comfortable hotel and hotel room. The staff is great and has taking care of all of my needs.
Wonderful hotel. Great staff. Delicious breakfast. Good location
Best hotel for the price paid
5th trip to Lima, so far the best hotel, best location near to excellent restaurants and to the beach
Nice, convince, & and corn place to stay and get around Miraflores. I highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed for the night. Nice place. No bottled water provided. Was asked to pay for it.
Malicious receptionist.
It was very important for me to witness Peruvian new year's eve celebrations so I asked the receptionist at the hotel if there was any fireworks or/and any other activities. She told me that there is nothing going on in Lima on new year's eve but there is a good dinner at the hotel restaurant. The meal was fine but there was hardly anybody there, so we left after dinner and walked around and then went back to our room. At midnight looking outside of my hotel window I saw the most spectacular display of fireworks ever all along the ocean front. In fact, the whole city was lite up with fireworks and this continued for about 10-15 minutes. It was impossible that anyone living in Lima does not know about this incredible fireworks as it was everywhere and also very loud explosions.
expensive, but nice. No towels by poolside
fantastic bed, excellent wifi, tv guide, ok gym. Negative, was a little expensive and had to bring own towel from room for pool
Great rooms and excellent lication
Sol de Oro was in a great location close to restaurants, bars, and shops in the heart of Miraflores. The hotel is beautiful and even included breakfast every day we were there with great food. The room itself was spacious and most importantly it was clean. It was generally quiet except for some renovations being done to some rooms nearby which were noisy at times but fortunately not during late night or early morning hours. The hotel staff was helpful and the manager even called us after we checked into our room to make sure everything was in order and offered her services anytime we needed them. And as an Expedia VIP we were offered our amenities at check-in which was a nice touch. Overall I would recommend this hotel for its location and the size and quality of their rooms.
Nice hotel, good location in Miraflores
Relatively good in all aspects. Comfortable and clean 4 star hotel walking distance to the beach and all that Miraflores has to offer. Breakfast options were limited. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Leaved the hotel after the first night
The first night of my stay, my husband and I were coming back from dinner out with friends. When we went through the door, the doorman tells my husband that "the lady needs to check in". My husband replies we were both checked in and we walked to the elevator. The doorman follows us running into the elevator and insists that I needed to to check in, to which we both reply again that I had already checked in. Immediately I approached the front desk and asked what the hell was going on. Why were they assuming I was a stranger to the hotel. They had no answer and had no apology either. When I asked for a manager there was no manager. The next day I did not want to go through that door again and risk being subject to the same uncomfortable situation. First I was profiled and second my word was not believed. Had been in hundreds of hotels and this has never ever happened before. Decided to look for the manager the next day, but he was on vacation and no one was in charge. We left the hotel that day, having paid for 3 more nights. No refunds, no explanations, no apologies.
Nice hotel in the heart of Miraflores
Great location, Miraflores is a wonderful area, clean and safe to walk everywhere near by. Also the hotel is close to the best restaurants in Miraflores. The hotel is ok in general, breakfast included is not that good compare to the quality of food you get around.
Excellent
Very comfortable, center of many places to eat and have fun, new facilities, good food.
Very Accommodating, Great staff!
We missed our flight out the night before due to airline and only arrived in the morning of our 1 day stay. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming, offering us late check out for us to rest before our final long haul flight. Went and had a delicious breakfast, came out and our room was ready. Was very nice to be looked after so well after being messed around by airline. Thank you!
Luxury accommodations in Miraflores
After a week and a half of urban backpacking around the country, this was an excellent place to decompress for a night. Staff was very courteous, and the bed was dangerously comfortable. Excellent bathroom! Beautiful rooftop pool and deck area. Restaurant staff needed some training, but the food was good once we managed to get someone to bring it to us.
Great location, staff, and setting!
This hotel lives up to its name-we were dazzled by the views from our room and from the rooftop pool and deck. The staff was super helpful with information about the area and about activities. Francisco at the front desk helped us make arrangements for paragliding. The restaurant and bar area has a great ambiance, and Victor makes a great pisco sour!
Great hotel in the heart of Miraflores
Excellent hotel in the heart of Miraflores, walking distance to Larcomar. Really QUITE hotel (street noise is a really big problem in Lima), large rooms, fantastic bedding, very nice and well trained staff. I would stronlgy recommend this hotel, you will not regret your stay there.
Excellent service
The best hotel staff and guest service, very helpful!❤️❤️❤️
Nice Miraflores Hotel
The location was close to everything in Miraflores and was a great place for the price point. Only stayed one night, but everything was as good as could be expected. Would not hesitate to stay again.
Very good experience, would stay again. I arrived early and hotel checked me in without issue
Solid Hotel.
This was a 2 day stay. Great and friendly staff. Great location... many restos and bars nearby. Breakfast buffet was tasty. I'd give it 4 stars. An issue was that they turned off the water from 11p-5a one night. They left a note about this in the room, but, I thought it was the same note that was left because they were changing the door locks.. so I didn't read it. Shutting off all the water is kind of a big deal. When I called the front desk, they nicely reminded me about the note, and said I could use the water in the fridge for free... and that was kind of strange.. ever been in a 4 star hotel that didn't provide a little water for free? Anyways, it's a solid hotel.

We liked everything about the hotel. It is located in the Mira Flores district and very walkable to cafes, restaurants, Larco Mar beach area, Kennedy Park, and shopping areas. All staff members were friendly, pleasant, and helpful in every way possible. The night of the Super Bowl, they kindly turned on the game for us (a tour group of 40 people) in their Murano Restaurant and Lounge Bar and extended their hours there by one extra hour so we could all watch the game. An area of much needed improvement: their breakfast buffet was not good. The food and coffee were consistently cold every morning we ate there.
