Amazing service and beautiful architecture.

Great luxury in a wonderful location

We were upgraded to a premium room with a large outside balcony. There were several chairs and lights on the balcony. Overlooked the Tiergarten. The hotel is five levels, which is very nice. It was primarily couples and a few business people and perhaps one or two people with children people. The bar area is very nice and there’s a nice sitting area outside the bar which has great sunshine and has a view onto the zoo. All the staff works, extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The rooms were very well kept and very comfortable. Everything in the hotel was clean and shining. They were bikes for rental, both bikes and standard bikes. we took bikes every day, with helmets, and toured Berlin this way.

Amazing property!

This hotel rocked my world! I only stayed one night, stopping over on a train trip from Paris to Prague, but I’m definitely coming back. Staff were super friendly & helpful, location is wonderful and it’s only a short walk to some great restaurants. I didn’t have an upscale room but all was pretty much perfect, including the morning view of an ostrich strutting her stuff in the zoo across the way. Auf wiedersehen, SO/ Berlin Das Stue!

Great hotel with super friendly and helpful staff

The SO/ Das Stue staff are nice, amenable, and lovely. They are so willing to make you feel at home. I was genuinely amazed by their beautiful attitude. We would go back. Highly recommended

This is a fantastic property! It was a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was perfect. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

overall the property was great relatively good location clean comfortable however there were several things that I didn’t expect like a light that wouldn’t go off average customer service suggestion to use Uber Eats instead of whatever was available at the hotel which turns out wasn’t much

The property especially the rooms are very nice, albeit being a bit dated. The hotel would highly benefit from a refurbishment to bring back past glory. Moreover, I would have expected more from the staff. They are less proactive than you would expect from a hotel of this calibre.

Everything was amazing, service was beyond and the spa and the room are just very well designed and maintained.

Lovely boutique style hotel with aspects that should not apply to a 5 star establishment. Had to ask housekeeping to replenish coffee capsules everyday, should really be done without asking. Waitress asked me to sign a breakfast tab each day, on checkout I was told that she had charged the incorrect amount on one of the days. Rather than acknowledge that this was their mistake and accept it they insisted that I pay the additional 84euros on a final bill of 3700 euros, not really a great experience.

Proper Room, felt luxury. Hotel itself is very carefully curated. Just didn’t like the location…. Nothing seemed walkable under 15 minutes …

The property is beautiful! Located on a quiet street across from an entrance to the Tiergarten and next to the Zoo, it is tranquility defined. The building is gorgeous, the rooms are generous, the design is top-notch, and the staff is the BEST! We loved Victoria, Julian, the concierge, the cleaning manager— everyone was top of the top. We would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Berlin!

Beautiful building with interesting common parts. Horribly designed, impractical rooms. Shaving mirror attached to wall so you need to lean around sink to use it. Bedside control panel behind bedhead, so you have to get out of bed to use it. Phone charging unit and USB point not working. Aircon made strange intermittent noises. Staff very nice but so amateur. Worst club sandwich I have ever had. Expedia discount on food had not been applied to bill at check out. Had to ask for this. Hotel location remote, in a residential area. No local shops or restaurants. In short, a triumph of style over substance.

excellent staff, clean and comfortable; only criticism was our room was on level 1 right above the front door. I would ask for a higher floor away from the fromt door.

Contemporary Elegant Hotel in Central, yet secluded location.

The hotel was very luxurious and relaxing. So well designed and the staff at reception were lovely. It’s great position in the park, a little way out from the centre but we loved it as cycled to Brandenburg gate through the park in 15 mins which was brilliant way to get round.

A unique Hotel that sits just on a quite street alongside the Zoo. The decor, amenities and staff are fabulous 🤗

Beautiful hotel is a quiet setting between the Tiergarten and the Zoo. The staff are gracious and nice and the rooms are stunning and well maintained. Very easy to navigate around the city from this location but also isolated from public transportation (other than cabs). It’s a 15-30 min walk to the nearest U or S bahn stations depending upon your ultimate destination.

The greatest hotel experience of my life

This was definitely the best hotel we have ever been to. From the beginning, entering this hotel the staff at reception had two very unique drinks for us to sip on while we checked in and were extremely pleasant. Julie exhibited the absolute best customer service as she showed us around the hotel and to our room. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the rooms are even better. All staff in this hotel were extremely generous and customer service seemed to be their highest priority. Free bikes were given to us to get around the city due to us booking with Expedia and we also got a free room upgrade. I cannot stop singing the praises of this hotel. If you are looking to stay in Berlin then this is the place to have the best hotel experience of your life.

Early check in -awesome.

We arrived at 10 am after getting up at 3:30 am elsewhere. They put us right into our room. It was heavenly.

The position of the hotel is extraordinary. Our room looked out over the zoo and was a real sun trap. A very comfortable room too. The pool was small but there was never anyone else in it. The staff were lovely, very helpful and attentive. The only problem was that the breakfast on the Saturday was not as good as on the other days. Many of the savoury elements were just not served in the buffet and the cooked to order items took a long time to arrive.

We had a room on the second floor with a view of the zoo. Well appointed room with good tea and coffee selection, and a kettle and nespresso machine. The staff were very helpful- booked restaurants, printed boarding passes and in general made our stay very enjoyable. The hotel is a bit quirky with a lovely comfortable bar area. We would stay here again if in Berlin.

Avoid Jr Suites, good hotel for a remote getaway

I had booked a Jr Suite when I arrived at noon they told me it wasn't ready, but they could show me the Jr Suite that I had already stated didn't want. So I saw it and confirmed I didn't want to stay in an sterile box with tons of windows and no drapes. 2 hours later when I was shown my first floor room overlook the street I was no less impressed. For me a Jr suite should have some space (the biggest part of this suite was the hallway). No sitting area a basic open concept "bathroom" and a stained white carpet. Given I had booked this because I thought it would be special I was extremely disappointed. When I asked to be transferred to the Sofitel K'udamn where a deluxe double is more luxurious and special then there jr Suites they upgraded us to a huge suite. Which was lovely. I think at this hotel you best to book a basic room or a real suite but that the Jr Suites are not good value. I also found the hotel showing signs of age. As a frequent visitor to Berlin I go there to enjoy the city not be removed 18 minutes away from any kind of urban convenience like public transport, ATM's, corner stores...the park and the zoo are beautiful and pastoral and would be lovely if you wanted to get away from it all, I thought it would be nice but it really was too remote for me. The public areas and F&B are all top notch. The check in desk seems overwhelmed with waits to check in and out. The staff are very professional, if a but cold.

Wow this was a wonderful experience. This hotel was once an Embassy, and is simply beautiful. The rooms however have all the newest comforts and technology to the curtains opening on a digital display. For a week in Berlin, this was the perfect location. Walking distance to much-and perfectly located next to Tiergarten park and zoo. The staff was amazing-and Robert particularly checked me in and made sure I had all the details I needed for my stay in Berlin and Iyevars(sp?) one of the best doorman in the city to help with recommendations.. I bought the breakfast package and was very glad I did. I was traveling with others staying here and we met every morning for a delightful breakfast buffet-and I really mean delightful to start your day and they keep it open for 4-5 hours until 11am. They even have hybrid battery/pedal bikes to rent when needed which are amazing for a day of biking through Berlin. I could go on-but my stay at Das Stue was very special and a cherished memory. Thank you to all the Staff for my friends and my stay with you.

This hotel is definitely a hidden gem in the city. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and in the perfect location right next to the park and the Berlin Zoo. The staff is professional and courteous. The rooms are all very modern and amazingly designed. The food and drinks at the hotel are some of the best we had in Berlin. All around amazing property!

Incredibly lovely and professional staff! They reallygo out of their way to make sure you are happy! Loved the rooms - the bed was absolute BLISS- the complimentary bottled still or sparkling water is such a plus! And the high quality ammentities of ETRO was just amazing! Beautiful hotel next to park

Really lovely hotel with excellent staff. Good casual restaurant. Michelin star restaurant closed in August. Nice little gym. Spa, sauna and pool available. Rooms have Krups coffee machines and very nice amenities. Air conditioning.

This was one of the nicest hotels in which I have stayed. The entire place was luxurious and took extra steps to make sure everything felt comfortable and beautiful. We loved the terrace in our room, as well as the free standing bath tub that overlooked the park. The electric controls for the room were fun as well. We enjoyed using the fitness room and the pool/sauna areas. The staff went the extra mile to bring a surprise cake to my room on my birthday, which was truly lovely. If I were to ever be in Berlin again, I would definitely stay at Das Stue.

Stylish hotel with very welcoming staff

Das Stue is my favorite hotel in Berlin. A high quality hotel but reasonably priced for the sophisticated traveler. It has an exquisite restaurant with changing menu that suites most tastes.

be aware of the loose ladder type (on purpose) towel rails in the bathrooms. One fell on me when i got out of the the shower, still have bruises on my arm. Though decorative, it could be dangerous, especially for smaller people.

Classic hotel directly opposite the Tiergarden

Lovely location directly opposite and with direct access to the famous Tiergarden. We had a upgraded Embassy room which had a picture window looking over Berlin zoo which is behind the hotel with direct access if you are into zoos. Very friendly staff. There is a biergarden about a 100 metres away in the park overlooking the lake which do a yummy pizza and a good select of beers of course.

Having booked for four nights in a row, we think the hotel should consider upgrading us for free to a better room as other hotels usually would have offered as a courtesy. Both restaurants are fantastic. Water spill problem happens in the bathroom right outside the bath. The PC in the room is pretty slow.

Great Tapas dinner, excellent bar and breakfast. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Very helpful staff, thoroughly recommend.

Amazing in every way, treat yourself!

This is a truly excellent hotel. There is absolutely nothing to fault here. The decor is uber cool, the food at the restaurant is exceptional and the staff were efficient and friendly. Nothing was too much to ask for. The location is great, right on the Tiergarten and Zoo. I would return to Berlin just to stay here again. I’m spoiled for life, every hotel will be benchmarked against this amazing hotel.

Das Stue exceeded our expectations at every turn. It is a beautiful hotel situated in a quiet (but accessible) part of Berlin. Every detail for guest comfort and relaxation has been carefully considered and executed flawlessly. We could not be happier with our stay and and look forward to returning on our next trip through Berlin!

Boutique Luxury - Amazing Service

Our stay couldn’t have been better. Every member of staff was friendly and so helpful, the room was stunning - the size of an apartment - the food was amazing, the atmosphere relaxed. Highly recommended.

What a terrific, modern space. Rooms decor is sharp and uses all the space smartly with a movable wall and clever storage space. Staff is outstanding!

Great concierge service from Nina advising on restaurants and all the team . Nothing too much trouble and nice to be in a small hotel where all the team knows your name . A cool bar and lovely restaurant add to the experience . Definitely a hotel for a romantic weekend .

First impression on entering was elegant, sophisticated and cool modern yet comfortable with a welcoming, helpful and professional staff. The room was quite comfortable and very updated.

Why the Hype?

Wonderful friendly and helpful staff was the highlight of the stay. At 3-4years old the interior is already starting to look in need of a refresh. Sound insulation in the room (I was in a 3rd floor Embassy Room) was shocking. I could hear all the noise from the room above. The bathrooms are cold and stark. The bedrooms are well appointed. The brass finish at the desk is beautiful. The Apple IPTV system is just frustrating and kept resetting itself. There are better, easy to use systems on the market. There is a lot of attention and media coverage of this property. I fail to see why. Is it quirky and fun. Yes.. Is it true luxury. Not even close.

Das the Best !!

Fantastic Hotel with amazing staff. They could not do enough to make our stay memorable. Great Food and comfortable surroundings made even more special by being attached to the rear of Berlin Zoo. If there was one negative I would raise is the Breakfast is a bit overpriced however don't let this point spoil a fantastic Hotel.

Very chic and comfortable...but

Great hotel with all the right facilities. Rooms are comfortable and the public areas very pleasant and relaxing. Downsides are the location - close to Tiergaten but dependent on taxis to get around...quite a walk to nearest S/U-bahn stations. Also, hotel prices are eye-watering! 18 euro for 2 cups of tea!! Still an enjoyable break made good by the very helpful and pleasant staff.

Perfect stay

Absolutely fantastic hotel in a beautiful location with amazing staff. We stayed here for a big birthday and the hotel really made it special for us. Would absolutely recommend.
