Worst experience we've ever had at a hotel

Where to start. Not wheelchair friendly as advertised, unless happy with waiting outside in the cold until someone available to let you in at the back via all the bins. We were next to some utility area (possibly laundry) loud noises ALL HOURS so very little sleep. Blocked shower too. Bathroom door didn't even close - as in stays ajar so can't even go to loo in peace. Most horrendous hotel experience we've ever had.

Smaller sized rooms but it was clean and cozy. Would stay again.

Great Stay!

Sleepers in Cardiff was the perfect place for our visit! The family room was a good size and had everything we needed. It was super clean and modern. Supplied coffee in the room, which we enjoyed. The shower was amazing and bunk beds for the kids. Very close to all the action, we were able to walk everywhere. We would highly recommend.

The room was ok for a 3 star hotel, but too pricey for what it actually offered. It was an extremely small room, good for 1 person for a night sleep.

Decided on an overnight stay last minute, prices were reasonable. Staff were kind & the bed is super comfy. Great location too, not even a minute walk from the central train station. There were marks on the walls from previous visitors making it feel a little cheap for the price we paid but wasn’t a big deal for us. Perfect for those going for a night out in the town. 8/10

Perfect location & stay

Really surprised how clean and cosy it was, perfect. Literally a few steps from the train station, in the centre for a night out and shopping.

Love Sleeperz!

I love this hotel and its location. My only problem was nearly taking my eye out when my head bumped into one of the glass shelves on the wall. They need to put some kind of protective layer around the outside. But the staff are great here and I always have a very pleasant time.

Great hotel

Great service. I joined Sleeperz Select for free and got early check in with my room available when I arrived at just before 2. Clean, comfy bed. A bit cool in the room when I arrived but I was able to use air conditioning/ heater to change it. Biggest issue for me is not having charging point or plug by bed so had to leave phone at other side of room when I like to have it to hand. Very friendly, pleasant staff. Will stay again

Ideal location,next to train station and close to bars, restaurants and shops

Really convenient to the railway station. Friendly staff. Not noisy from the street though it’s possible to hear people closing doors nearby. Clean rooms and bedding. The shower gel was empty. I didn’t to expect to use the hotel ones anyway.. but it is an issue. Overall it meets my expectation for a simple stay.

The hotel is clean and about a minute's walk from the train station. Accessible to amenities such as restaurants and shops. The staff are extremely helpful and polite.

I love the staff there, they were so kind and helpful. The room was perfect for just me, the only thing was the toilet seat was broken and needs replacing. Overall I had a great stay and would come again.

Best value solo stay in Cardiff!

I stay in Cardiff regularly for work, and had previously opted for slightly higher price point rooms elsewhere. An unexpected trip led me to book here, and I was very impressed. Sure, the rooms are smaller than other offerings, but I’m staying for business- and I’m usually paying for space I don’t use. The bed was one of the comfiest I’ve slept in in the city, the shower one of the warmest (once it heated up!) and despite no opening window, one of the most pleasant in terms of temperature. The breakfast was basic, but for a few pence under a tenner- very good value.. hot bacon/sausage breakfast with orange juice and a latte with pastry for after? Works for me. WiFi was strong and consistent too. Really pleasant reception staff, Sarah who had just started was friendly when checking me in - as were her colleagues helping her. I’ve had far worse stays for twice the price here, and you don’t get much closer to the station.. which you thankfully don’t hear either! (Despite me overlooking the tracks). Will be back.

Staff were friendly & helpful; but the price of the hotel compared to the size and quality of the room was terrible. Crack in the sink, holes in the walls, tiny room for close to £200 is insane.

Room is small but sufficient for a short stay. Only one hotel lift accessible to hotel rooms thus very busy lift. Most of the guests use staircase if room was not too high up.

No water for second night, staff were helpful but obviously not ideal.

The hotel had a burst water pipe so there was no water for showers, toilets or tea but a full refund was offered.

Great stay

Fantastic staff here. Made us feel very welcome on check in and in the bar having a drink. Bed comfy enough, pillows were a funny one for me, not quite enough with 1, 2 was too much.. Shower nice and spacious and adjustable flow shower head was a nice touch. Safe in the room as well.

Beside Train Station, lots of Bars and Resturants in 10 minutes walk. We drive from Birminghan and park the car at John Lewis indoor carpark, around 10 minutes walk.

Took my children away for the night and they loved it even better as they had bunkbeds. The staff were great and even when we checked out they were kind enough to hold my bags so we could carry on shopping before heading home x

good location for me, 2 mins from train station. Room was clean but exceptionally small. It worked for me for one night as the price was right. Because of the size of the room I would go back only for a one night stay.

Very noisy room.

My first night the room next door were clearly having a party before they went out. Then they came back creating more noise early in the morning. Also, where the room is situated was clearly an access corridor for staff as it was constantly noisy with people & doors opening & shutting

Crap name for a hotel, sounds cheap and tacky but well soundproof, great location. Breakfast was top draw. Bed comfy. Shower excellent

One of the best traits of this property is the proximity to the Cardiff main train station. You could roll out of bed and be at the station in two minutes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My only wish is that small toiletries would be provided in the bathroom. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Cardiff.

Hostel feel - not the best choice

What can I say, this hotel feels like a budget place. Reminded me of my student dorm. It hasn’t been renovated in a while, the room and everything that came with it felt cheap. Cleaning could be improved, I’ve found some hair in the bathroom and limescale stains in the sink. Oh, and the window didn’t open.

The room was tiny but it had everything needed for a pleasant stay. The beds was comfy and the shower was great. The parking is a block away at the train station which is a bit inconvenient. Not the hotel's fault but the fire alarm went off at 2am not once but 4 different times for various durations. After that it's pretty difficult to fall back asleep. Again, not their fault, it was a guest who triggered it.

They easy access to all public transport and how easy it was to wander around the town centre, great for shopping if thats your thing, plenty of bars for lively entertainment and sports.

I'm not quite satisfied with the room conditions overall. Air conditioner is covered with dust. Poor flooring condition. The bathroom door is a sliding door and squeaked and looks like will fall anytime. The bunk bed doesn't fit with proper handrails, which makes it difficult to climb up to the bed.

The bed wasn’t that comfortable and the tv’s picture kept going off so you had to keep turning the tv on and off to get it working. It was very old and I don’t think it was going to work for much longer.

Say i didnt have a good experience here. I booked as other reviews were good so perhaps i was just unlucky. I got a twin room with bunk beds. 1st floor but noisy pub down below. Room wasnt clean. Bathroom door off the hinges. This place wasnt for me at all.

Lovely hotel

It's centrally located, in the heart of cadiff city, with access to any other places. I will definitely love to stay in the same hotel again.

The Sleeperz Hotel is in a most convenient spot . It is next to the Cardiff Central Rail Station and Cardiff Bus Terminal. The Great Western across the street has a wonderful and affordable breakfast & supper. The staff is super friendly and very professional. My bed was very comfortable. City Center and Utilita Arena are a short walk away and St. Mary Street is also a quick walk for night life . The property is quite clean and very inviting . Nichelle , Vicky , Fushon & Andy all helped me with various things like seeing Dr. Who sites and getting to Cardiff Bay which is beautiful. If it was possible to give the staff more than 5 stars I would . I highly recommend staying at Sleeperz in Cardiff Wales

A wonderful experience right from checking in up to checking out. Staff were friendly, warm, and welcoming, and my room was serviced without even needing to request it. Comfortable and clean. Will definitely stay again.
