One of us cannot walk far, so convenient, close to casino, restaurant and parking. The room suited our needs, clean quiet, spacious. Very happy guests, this was our second stay - we will visit and stay again soon.

Casino was fun & exciting, location was brilliant, the harbour close by & so many food & entertainment options. Staff at Sky City were friendly & keen to assist. Fantastic stay in Auckland, thank you!

Unfortunately, I had a terrible night sleep due to the hotel having power issues that caused a security light to stay on in the room from 12.30am - 2.30am and again from 6am - 6.30am. I contacted staff the next day and was only offered a potential upgrade (subject to availability) if we stay there again. Very disappointing from what's supposed to be a nice hotel.

Nice hotel. Great central location. Lack of staff at reception an issue. It took us 40 minutes to get served as there were only two staff working and a large queue of guests trying to check in. Manager saw the queue and ran away instead of assisting. Besides the disorganised check in process 5/5 stars.

Thats it was very clean and well president. We haven't been way in year so it was lovely the room was nice and big and so was the tv was very nice liaying in bed watching tv and the shower was amazing would different be coming back . We got up graded to the horizon

Property is in the center of the action. Walkable to most places. Bedding is not cotton and bed was just okay but staff was friendly and helpful with ice and extra towels. Definitely a casino environment. Elevator smelled like Conor one night but was cleaned up quickly. Affordable. Would stay again.

Just OK Hotel

I booked 2 rooms. Hotel was kind to put our rooms next to each other. Staff was friendly. Check in was quick and easy. Shower was spacious and clean. However, the room condition was just OK. Carpet in the room was dark but had lots of stains. Bath towels had stains. Room wasn’t clean properly (I.e. coffee mugs had stains and hadn’t been washed). I didn’t check the second room, so this review is for my room.

Perfect location, super comfy and huge bed and large room. Lovely bathroom with huge walk in shower. Couldn’t ask for more.

Isabel at Reception and the concierge staff were awesome with anything- special mention to Jed and Luka for their helpfulness.

Good overnight stay. Breakfast was excellent at the Terraces.

Average service from disengaged staff. Hand basin wouldn't drain due to plug blockage. Toilet doesn't flush properly.

Confusion over the car parking and costs. Need a heads up before you arrive with a car as to when, where, and how much.

I stayed the night. It seemed very strange not to talk to any staff from your car to your room with the self-check-in. The self-check asked so many questions, and when you finally had your room key, there was no explanation of where to go after that. It took a moment to realise that the first number of your room translates into H and number in the lift.

Do not think of another property while in Auckland. Great price, parking, surroundings. They even helped us getting our camera bag back which was mistakenly left in hotel.

Room not that clean, top of shower glass dirty, a lot of dust in corners and small spaces. Wasn't Told About how to get room serviced so ran out of towels and toilet paper. when we did get it serviced there were no towels left in room so had to ring up and ask for them. Car parking A nightmare and expensive so was easier to get valet parking from hotel. For an international hotel standard could have been better.

We were only there for one night, but the room was great and it's in a very central location

Clean and very comfortable, decent gym. No other amenities outside the gym. Although we paid for parking within the room rate, the reception would've validate our parking.

Would be great to offer free parking with your stay

Staff didn’t replace tea coffee or milk. The hallways needed a good vacuum and dusting. Everything else was fine.

Bad attitude from female Asian front desk!

The rooms smell bad odor. Even leafing to hallways. Need air freshener. Front desk are nit enthusiastic about going extra mile to help you. Do understand using swimming pool is based on availability at Grand by Sky city however, no matter what time, they immediately discourages customer. Very obvious and transparent. Went over to Grandvyo verify if full, they said no. Just needed authorization from Sky city. Complete contradiction!! Very disappointing!! Especially the long haired Asian descent with attitude!

Rubbish is hidden behind the bedside table from precious guest. Water pressure from shower is tooo low. Floor inside shower area is slippery.

Nice hotel, in city center

Couldn't use the self check in system as we had booked two rooms. So had to line up at the front desk. This took 20mins waiting for one group in front of us, very slow and not a great experience for the start of our stay. You needed more staff on the front desk also. you only had two on. it was 3pm and everyone was checking in. Other than this we had a great stay after this. Thanks

Nice convenient stay.

We didn’t get a warning for a $200 bond before arriving to check in. I was okay to pay it but they didn’t have pay wave and we didn’t have a physical card with funds. It was a real pain for check in. The fridge was not good my ice blocks melted. But they allowed us to stay an hour longer for check out which was kind :) also staff really professional the room is basic but so clean! Which I always appreciate. Thanks Skycity.

My husband and I enjoyed our time away from life. Everyone was very helpful as this was our first time. Will absolutely recommend to anyone who needs the same.

Perfect stay for a night in town beds were so comfortable and so convenient to everywhere in town. Andy’s burger and Fortuna are a must! Highly recommend will be back!
