We really enjoyed the experience during our stay. The staff were very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. The honeymoon suite was great, and we enjoyed using the spa.

Fantastic, Helen the manager was great. Helen went above and beyond our expectation’s Having us feel welcomed even though we arrived later than expected, past regular office hours. The room was clean and spacious and quiet for a good nights sleep. Thank you again Helen for your thoughtfulness.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The staff was incredibly accommodating of us and our needs, especially Antony, who helped us coordinate our late check-in and ensured us a large parking spot for our 12-seater van. Everyone we interacted with was so friendly and helpful, and made our trip smooth, comfortable, and personal. The rooms themselves were spacious and comfortable, and we appreciated the private spas in each room. This was a great stay!

Clean spacious room, quiet neighborhood, convenient access to downtown and attractions.

Rooms quite nice. No elevator to top floor for heavy bags etc. Busy street so traffic noise but not too bad. Toilet flush buttons had green mould growing. Not very far to restaurants etc. Would use it again for a short stay though. Helpful staff.

Dated, not as advertised, misleading photos

Definately not 5 star, the room I had was really old and dated. The bathroom needs ripped out and totally redone. There is a lot of noise from upstairs and outside and it's very exposed (two sets of patio doors each side of bedroom) I didn't feel very safe. I put my cases against the doors. The place doesn't match the photos at all, it's very misleading which is what's disappointing, for the rating and the price charged there are much nicer places. I also stayed in the Rydges hotel which was less money and much more comfortable.

Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities seemed a little tired and ready for renovation. Short drive but long walk (1.5 miles) into town for restaurants ( breakfast, dinner, etc). Hotel is located close to volcanic springs so location is particularly smelly (sulphur fumes etc). Could be viewed as adding to charm/adventure or being a detraction, depending on personal taste.

We loved the Spa pool. The guy showed us to the room and I should of got him to turn the TV on the channels. This happens in every motel we go to - or is it just us that not use to complicated technology....lol. We couldn't get the TV to work, but that was "okay" as we were tired and slept. I did ring 0 but was out of hours and left a message—never mind. All in all, we loved the room - spa room could do with abit of a wash down though.

Great Spa

The hotel and spa tubs are amazing. The overall experience was as expected. The only improvement to suggest is to upsize their beds in the 2 bedroom suits as queen size bed was quite small.

Great place to stay with kids, really convenient, safe and comfortable. We had a bit of issue with sofa bed but manager tried to sort this out for us and we are really appreciative of kindness and care. Definitely will stay there again.

The room was great, we booked the honeymoon suite and it did not disappoint. We also booked massages but since it’s right by the main road (which is like hotel row) it was kind of loud with traffic noise and not as relaxing as I’d usually experience in a “spa”. The availability of staff was also a bit limited which means we had to wait until like 8 am to go ask them questions etc. it worked out but as early risers a bit frustrating. There’s also nothing around except other hotels, they even advertise to Uber eats to your hotel room. But eat street was about a ten minute drive away and that had lots of amazing options for food and drink. Parking was also plentiful and easy. Overall I’d stay again, but I’d probably book the honeymoon suite again even if it’s not our honeymoon next time, it was lovely.

The reception was very welcoming and friendly

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was quite big and very clean. The kitchen was equipped with the basics, along with coffee capsules, tea selections and milk. We stayed in the shoulder season, in September, and we found the room very cold, even with the heating unit turned up to 26 (normal for us would be 20). The bathroom is very long and the whirlpool tub was an excellent upgrade.

Had a great experience. The parking was well designed. The room it self was good, cozy. Only had a problem with the coffee machine which could be cleaned more regularly. But further it was great. Loved the bath.

Great motel, handy for all that Rotorua offers.

A very welcoming facility with a hot tub in the room and many amenities if you choose to eat in. A loveseat to not be limited to the bed or table and chairs. The only two issues we had and were not terrible is that it was very moist in the room unless you left the windows open, which I was taught not to do in winter :) and the second night there was a female running outside yelling help near 9- 9:30 pm. We resisted the thought to actually leave our room and the issue seemed to be resolved between the two individuals- just disconcerting. Nothing much the establishment could do, but thought we were in a safe area. Overall we would considered returning if in the area.

Good stay nice location and facilities, windows and curtains could do with attention as they were very damp and dirty.

The property is dated, but quite comfortable. Dated as in the furniture and decor aren’t brand new but this doesn’t take away from the comfort of the bed and rooms. The staff were super helpful and nice and the rooms are very clean. The bed was just comfortable and the in-room spa was a perfect way to end the day.

I loved the room it had everything we needed my husband enjoyed the spa was very relaxing thanks again, we will definitely be back. Mr and Mrs Fred.

Old property but well kept. Stayed in 2 bedroom apartment. Very convenient for families with kids. Kitchenette is useful. Spa in bathroom is a treat after a busy day out. Split unit air-conditioning available. Convenient location, short drive (few minutes) to city centre.

I would definitely stay there again. The host was very courteous. The suite was lovely and clean, with great facilities and car park right outside the door. Perfect after a long roadie with kids 🙂

Another great stay. Meticulously clean unit. Only complaint - cleaning had gone overboard with the bleach and the whole unit was overpowered with the smell. Burning my nostrils and eyes. Had to leave doors open to clear the air for several hours.

Just did not get any spa salt the second day! Great tub but very deep! And can be dangerous and slippery.

One of the best we've stayed in.

This has got to be one of the best places we have stayed in Rotorua. The unit was spacious, well appointed and a great layout. Shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. Lovely, deep spa pool in our unit we were able to fill fresh each use. Nice to have comfortable lounge seating to relax on. We look forward to staying again.

Perfect for a long stay!

We had a great stay here! They have everything you need for a good stay. We stayed for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We made breakfast each morning, so we only really had a snack and then dinner out. They supply coffee, tea, sugar, milk and S&P which was perfect!

Nice place to stay

The staff here is excellent, helpful and friendly. The room was large and the kitchenette had what we needed. We also had a private hot tub on our patio, enclosed and private. After a long day of hiking, the hot tub was a real treat! We appreciated the laundry facilities as well (free wash, $3 dry). They are located mainly in an area with other hotels, there aren’t restaurants close by. They do have a Spa on site also, but we did not use the services but prices seemed reasonable, we just didn’t have time. We would stay here again for sure.

Located conveniently. It took about 30 minutes to check in because the room was not ready even after 2:30 pm. Even though they knew I was wrongly charged more than should be (about $20) they would not correct it or wave it for the cost ($20) of a baby cot, which I had to pay it there as an extra. The 2 bedroom was way smaller than on their ads., dark, smelly, and dated. Definitely an over-priced accommodation and not going back.

Enjoyable stay

The room was spacious and well maintained. The facilities were great, including the spa. Very close to Te Puia and close to downtown, yet it was quiet.

The bed was so comfortable! Definitely felt like a very luxurious experience. Big thank you to Helen at reception - so warm and friendly. She really made us feel special.

Good nights sleep.

Although a little run down in parts Silver Ferns was adequate and comfortable. The beds were firm and we had a better sleep here than anywhere else in NZ.

Situated towards the edge of town but within the area of many other motels and hotels. Staff were friendly and the room was well maintained and perfectly clean. Facilities were good and this was also good value for money.

Convenient

A convenient spot. The spa bath was great for me, but was not easy for my disabled husband to shower in.

I had a room where 3 of the 5 walls were full windows to the walkway to all the rooms. This gave a lot of light and good views, but also meant anyone could see into the room, so I mostly just shut all the curtains the whole time. Parking was very good, and the room was very large. Shower in bathroom was set up as a jacuzzi-shower, so there wasn't walls keeping the water in the tub very well. Staff was friendly and provided amenities even upon late arrival

Lovely stopover and close to city centre

Lovely spacious suite extra bonus having a spa pool. Staff are exceptionally welcoming and can’t do or help enough. 30 minutes walk into city centre where u will find lots of shops bars and restaurants. Also nice walk to lake front. Highly recommend visit to Eat Street for evening food. Would definitely be coming back here when next on vacation.

Really sad. Has been a great motel but now past its use by date. Unit had a fan in the bedroom that obviously had not been maintained & the blades were knocking against the connections & the couch well past use by date. We raised these with reception straight after check in & they were really nice offered to change units BUT one unit had a fridge with visible rust & the other one really bad shower bath unit so elected to stay where we were. Bad choice we had not checked the bathroom - shower had black mould in it & ceiling was on its way down - not connected at the edges with black mould growing. Obviously been like that for a long time. All the bathroom units looked like they were the originals & showing their age. Went to bed & the sheets were a size too small & would not tuck in. Reception staff nice & said they would get their team to look at things but very obviously if they do they elect to do nothing about the issues but still want to charge top $. Our advice check out the unit before you stay. We saw 3 units all below par. Make you wonder if the reviews are the real deal.

Liked large in-room tub and the spacious bathroom. Kitchenette was small and without a stove. Room had several flies buzzing around because the windows have no screens. Unable to get rid of them.

The price was good and the location met our needs. I'd stay again.

The room was very comfortable, clean, and had convenient amenities such as a kitchenette, (cold) air conditioning, all the necessary toiletries, plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The curtains had seen better days, there was peeling paint in the bathroom, and other signs of wear and tear. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, pretty good place for a budget price. We stayed 3 nights and were fine with it.

Fun little spot in Rotorua. Lovely caring staff with top notch hospitality. Very thoughtful to give us a quiet spot in the back for the kids to do their thing.

A nice motel close to downtown. It was about a 20 minute walk to the downtown area. It did smell pretty strongly of sulfur, but that's just because it's close to the hot pools. The indoor hot tub was fun.

The lady at the front desk was an example of how all front desk people should be, happy, polite very genuine. Great place

The hotel was nice, a bit dated in the bathroom and could use a new couch in our unit. Overall was good, beds were very comfortable, kitchen was small, but had what we needed to eat breakfast in suite.

The location was great, not far from the centre of town. We chose pay at the property on expedia, however, they took 1st night accomm 2 days prior without telling us. They also took final payment before we even checked in as we were running late due to late flight.
