ESTAY at Canton Fair / Silin PolyWorld not good

Staff less than friendly to international customers , first room , TV , washing machine had no electricity, bathroom filthy dirty, half lights in room didn’t work, price was $235 for this ????? Got moved to another room , washer dumped water all over floor , bathroom dirty again, no English channels on TV, price has doubled from previous stays , value not good like before , pictures show dirt, filth Around sink and bathroom. In these days of Covid cleanliness, and for the daily price of $235. I expect a clean, healthy, well kept room. Trying to talk to all Chinese kids at front desk who are more worried about playing games on their phones , than dealing with customers and issues. If they worked for me .... I’d fire them ALL.

Not ready for the hospitality service. Need to learn & improve lot

Moved out after entering this place. The rooms are really dirty, I found a lot of hand prints everywhere, and saw a few bugs in the shower. The room was damp and smelly. The air flowing through the building was disgusting, I can barely breath in it. This place have multiple names, they change it so everyone think is a different hotel. That such a faulty advertisement, and is really misleading for travellers. Also, the picture needed to be updated (outdated faulty photos from opening or digital) it makes it look like it’s worth the price you are paying. I wouldn’t trust the review as well. Found a 5 star hotel around this building, and only had to pay a little extra. Be careful when checking into this hotel. None of the staffs can speak English, they gave me this attitude when checking in because I don’t have an ID card (China ID card). How am I suppose to have a china ID when I’m just a visitor from aboard.

Overall the property was nice and clean and very near to the China Import & Export Fair Complex with 8 min walking distance .This place was good place if you were to attend any fair held in this area either CIEFC or PWTC. I was lucky there is receptionist who can communicate in English during my check in and Check out. Hotels has nice view with the river view and city. The Bedlinen in the room was torn and the housekeeping don't bother to change it while staying there. Overall is Oood

Room stinks and even spotted small roaches. If not for the fact it’s near the Fair Grounds, I doubt anyone would want to stay here!

Close to Canton Fair, rooms not heated in winter

Hotel is closest to Canton fair, That is the PLUS. In winter time rooms have NO HEAT and are cold. There is NO restaurants in any building near for evening food. During day of the fair, there are McDonalds and noodle shops open for breakfast and lunch. about 350 meters away. Subway is about 300 meters way. Beds are OK for comfort. Family Mart (7-11) store located in Building open 24hours. most rooms have a washer dryer. I have stayed here about 6 times in winter / summer. Its nice to be close, but you still end up paying taxi costs to go eat. Rooms have Wifi, but not VPN

Close to Canton fair, NO HEAT in winter months

Hotel is the closest & cheapest to the Canton Fair buildings. In Winter time there is NO heat in the rooms, so the rooms are cold. There are No restaurants close for any night time eating. The only advantage is being close to the fair building. There is a FAMILY MART (7-11) located in the building with basic drinks and snack foods. There are some food places Under the Canton fair that operate during fair days. On other days most are closed, so prepare to travel somewhere else to get food.

The property is nice and located close to the metro. Great location, not far from anything via metro. Room was pretty comfy and clean. The front desk is a bit confusing because there are three companies that rent hotel rooms in this property. Besides the language barrier, I felt the service could have been better. All and all, we were really pleased and had a great time in Guangzhou 👌

Convenient yet flawed....

Generally this hotel is okay, but some aspects leave a lot to be desired. Check-in is poor, and communication is difficult. Added to that the lifts are a disaster. 2 lifts working for some 40 floors, half of which are offices means it's like getting on the Tokyo subway and you can waste 30 minutes just getting a lift in 'rush-hour. If you are at the expo-centre it is convenient, but it is not a relaxing hotel to stay at. FYI, the room vending machine selling sex-toys and contraception was also a little weird.

This hotel is a waste of money and time!

Besides the one male staff helping us at the counter, all the other female staff members were rude, and trying to give us a hard time while checking in. The young gentleman was trying everything he can to help us, while the female staffers that he was working with just didnt want to accept any different id besides local id cards. Im an US citizen. How am I suppose to offer an local id??? It also took forever to get us checked in, because they couldn't find our reservation online. The bathroom was out of toilet paper, so I saw a member of the house keeping crew. Told me she couldn't help me, because my room which was directly across the hall from the room she was cleaning, wasn't part of her company's property. Apparently I stayed with a different company's hotel room, and there were multiple company's on the same floor, same hall way. Would've helped to have been told of this before going up to the room. The WiFi doesn't work. Also, the hotel is around absolutely nothing! You're in the middle of nowhere. Besides a subway station underneath you. If you're hungry, good luck finding anything to eat. We had to take a cab for 30 plus minutes to get into "town". Very inconvenient. So inconvenient that I took the loss of 3 nights by checking out early. The hotel is located nowhere like it was stated on the information section. Would not tell anyone to stay here at all!

we disliked our stay immensely, no one there to greet us , no one to help us with bags, no one spoke english. Check in was very long and very disorganised. Strongly DO NOT recommend it

There was roach in the bathroom the first night wechanged the room, In the morning when we wanted to take a shower Or go to the bathroom there was no water, 2 lights in the room was not working. Close to trade fair

None of the staff speak English that make checkin Very hard when all your paperwork and confirmations are written in English Only 3 lifts access the higher floors but all lifts access lower floors so if your above floor 30 the lifts are very slow. Great location No tea or coffee available

If Budget is an issue

Language barrier a real issue. The restaurant is not connected, there is very little choice for eating - this is simply a very average hotel to service the offices in the precinct.

Very limited service apartment; not a hotel!

There was limited english speaking employees onsite. Also, no food; not even a grab n' go. As well, there isn't any signage so taxis had a very difficult time locating the building.

NOT WORTH IT

It is a residence.Not a hotel. You have to pay extra to use the gym.. I mean shouldn't they show this when you are booking the hotel? Also, most times 4 star hotel rating space would have a decent breakfast. There is no breakfast here. They send us to some cafe downstairs to get one egg, one fruit and one bread. It is terrible. I wouldn't suggest this hotel to anyone even during the fair. There are better hotels close by and it is much easier to go with them. I did a mistake of booking this and totally regretting it for whole canton fair time.

Close to Fair but That's All

Close to the Canton Fair but that's all it's good for. On their website it states 'mini bar'& 'Western & Asian Dining' - there is no Restaurant in this Hotel & NO Mini Bar. There's a microwave, a cook top, fridge & a washing machine but not one piece of cutlery or cookware to be had in the rooms and no dish cloth or tea-towel either. The hallway on my level was always filled with cigarette smoke & no air-conditioning. My room was always full of smoke. To a non smoker this was DISGUSTING & made me fill quite ill. I have an oxygen machine to breath with at night, when I got home this had to be thoroughly cleaned as it smelled of cigarette smoke. The window glass was so thin that everything that happened outside was clearly heard up on the 20th Floor. 24/7 construction - police tooting &yelling at truckies triple parked on the road - it was just like you were on the ground level with your windows open. Food was found at the Gourmet Plaza that was not Gourmet by any standards. All Asian fair but there was a Subway & a McDonalds where you could buy a Big Mac or a Filet o Fish - nothing like Australian McDonalds at all. The cleaning lady was lovely.Most of the Desk staff were pleasant but only one spoke English and it all fell to her. She was always busy but very polite and helpful. Would I stay here again. NO. As a NON Smoker I did not appreciate a Hotel where smoking was clearly allowed. Getting a Lift was also an effort especially when busy& one lift didn't appear to be working.

Pls do not book, has no food around, nothing works

I had really bad experience with this hotel, it does not have food delivery to room, no proper food available specially for asians, and nothing works in this hotel like stove, heater. No hot water. Please do not book, you will have a nightmare.

Only really useful if you are going to the exhibit

Very accessible to the exhibition center. Very comfortable rooms. Needs food center or restaurant center.

Convenient for Canton Fair.

Decent place to stay for the canton fair. Room is spacious. Kitchenette with induction cooker, microwave, fridge, sink, and also a washing machine. Gd if you plan to cook and eat (especially if you are looking for veg/halal food which is hard to find nearby). Very near to metro (Pazhou station) and walkable distance to trade complexes for Canton Fair. This was the cheapest and decent option if looking to stay nearby the fair. However, pls note that this is a serviced residence and do not expect hotel facilities (pool, gym, restaurant, etc). And only one staff (out of almost 10) at the reception is able to barely converse in English. Overall, stay was ok.

Great hotel, but no bar or restaurant

Pricey (during the Canton Fair) but very convenient, and one of the best hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Very helpful staff. But there is no food service, so you can get breakfast at a nearby cafe or convenience store, and there is also a food court nearby but mostly it closed early. So you can eat convenience store food in your room or otherwise catch the metro 5 stations (for 3 rmb) to an area where there are good bars and restaurants. The suite was fully equipped with washing machine, fridge, microwave and induction cooker, but preparing our own meals wasn't really possible because there were no pots, pans, plates, or cutlery. The staff were very helpful

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff speaks little English, and wasn't friendly. If you are going to the Canton Fair, it is a good choice, at a fairly reasonable rate, compared to others in the same area. If you are coming for any other reason, stay somewhere else in the city. It has kitchen amenities, but bring your own pot, pan and utensils, because nothing is provided. There aren't any restaurants in the area, so you will probably want to cook your own food. You can walk down the street and eat at The Langham Hotel, or The Westin, but it is expensive.

Not recommended. The service is very bad, they don't have restaurant, don't work the hot water.

Stay here only if you visit Canton fair or PWTC

Staff (as everywhere in China) could be a bit more polite, language is an issue. Mind you that there is "nothing" left and right except the Canton fairground and the PWTC. No restaurants close by. Within the complex there is a "family market" with basic supply, some ATM's and that's it. Below the estay complex there is a underground strip with some shops related to the PWTC though note that they are all closing early. Room is grand and clean, a kettle plus 2 tea-pots,2 compl. tea-bags though no sugar, no spoon, no fork... some black spots on the room's ceiling (mold), looks like there had been issues with the a/c. linnen clean, shower-/hand towels outdated and within the shower cabin also some mold. 5 elevators for 45 floors, 1 was out of order, expect to wait for some minutes before being able to get into the lift, huge crowds!

Nice room. A good hot breakfast was included at a very close offsite facility, Very close to the Canton Fair convention center. My only complaint was that the WiFi was never working.

Excellent hotel but neighborhood lacks restaurants

A great hotel. Room had kitchen and even a washing machine. Room was clean and modern. Just two problems. One: no one speaks good English. Two: there just isn't any restaurants etc around the immediate neighborhood except for at the Westin hotel. There are lunchtime food places but they are closed in the evening. So its a taxi ride somewhere or a 7-11 behind the hotel. Such a shame.

Overall its a nice hotel if you are going to the Canton Fair or some where close to the hotel. The hotel doesnt have restaurant or bar. It have taxi outside to take you what ever you want.

Room what they offer 549sft, but when I check in its not more then 350sft even air condition is not effective. Facilities in room is not good. It's worst time I spend in Guangzhou

SMELLS BAD!

There is a pungent odor that starts when bathroom vent is on or just by itself. Unbearable! They offered to change my room but my friend who was staying at the hotel said that he had the same odor problem. No body from staff bothered to check what the problem was. Location is great for Canton Fair attendees. However, I would not stay at this hotel even if it was free.

especially good for people visiting exhibition center, because it is just that we have to cross 100 ft road. i have been visiting exhibition in guangzhou since last 9 years, so far the most convenient hotel as dont have to wait for taxi's after exhibition is over.

Easy to check in and out. The hotel is geared more for conventions and expositions. The water pressure for showering is very low.

super convenient location to trade center

The Hotel is super convenient to the trade center if you are attending it. Rooms are super spacious with microwave, laundry machine and spacious area. Not suitable for tours. No shopping area nearby, no nightlife. Have to take taxis downtown to eat and shop. Suitable for trade fairs only. Fastfood selections are available nearby but few to choose. And closes early at night.

Few minutes walk from Canton Fair

Serviced apartment in PWTC which is right next to the Westin Pazhou, which in turn is next door to Area C of the Canton Fair. So location is unbeatable for Fair visitors. Also Pazhou metro station a 5 minute walk away. Nice room. Big bathroom. Kitchen facilities including cooker, microwave and washing machine. There are no restaurants etc in the vicinity but you can eat & drink at the Westin across the road. Big problem with this room is the cleaniness. I guess because its a serviced apartment (and not a hotel), the standards are quite different. The floor was grubby. It looked clean but you couldn't walk on it bare foot. Same can be said for the bath tub. also, the shower floor was dirty. There was dust & dirt under the bed and dining table. Also, if you're a business traveller, wifi may be a problem. It was very slow. On my last two nights it was so bad I had to walk over to the Westin with my laptop and use their wifi facilities.

No signage No Name Hotel

Comfortable hotel but not good for image and also rude front staffs. Maybe your business is too good and you not care about service. Also please note that you are in hospitality service. You are a hotel, you should have a small signage of your hotel (at the main road entering the main building) or least in the front desk if you not allow in the building as it is a service aparthotel with sharing of building with various tenants.

Small room

The room size is not as describe. The room size is only approximately 32 sq meter instead of 51 sq meter stated on the description. Poor maintenance and do not attend to complain.

Great room

Excellent room with even a washing machine. The room was large and the bed was great. Shower was even huge. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel and its facilities within the room. It had a cooker, fridge and microwave. The only small problem was lack of restaurants around the hotel. I had to take a taxi a short ride (5 minutes) to find local restaurants. I am returning next week for a second exhibition and have booked the same hotel. I have been to many exhibitions around the world and this is without doubt one of the best hotels/access to exhibition I have experienced. Only the lack of nearby restaurants forces me to give it a 4 and not a 5 star.

In the middle of no where

Hotel location is very good for exhibition but after that it's is terrible as there is no where to eat or do shopping . That all fine but on the 2nd night at 3am people opened my room door and tried to enter , luckily I was locked it with door chain , they kept trying to enter and nocking on the door ! After big fight the staff said we are sorry that we gave wrong room key to them , simply they are sorry ! I traveled all over the world nothing happened like that with me. On the 4th night , all night they were doing renovation all night noise sounds Never go there again

Great location but Lack restaurants

The room was fantastic - size, layout, furniture were all great. Quiet with very good room service and available when you need it. Was disappointed to find no shaving tool in the bathroom as I need to shave everyday. Since my baggage was all carry-on, I could not put a shaver in it before taking a flight - found everything else. Also, no restaurants or even a coffee shop in the place. Luckily, there is a Family Mart convenience store on B1 across the street. The receptionists should indicate nearby places to get food etc. since not provided by the hotel.

New, Clean & Comfy

Remember, it is listed under SERVICED APARTMENTS, so they are, don't expect hotel facilities of restaurants, gym, pools...etc. I find it very pleasant to stay there for few nights, clean and tidy, very close to Poly expo's and metro stations, staff were polite and helpful, though more required to handle large number of guests "I think"

You get what you pay for

Good grief, where to start, no wifi, no working telephones, no english channels (out of about 120), no service, only one key, even though traveling with a collegue. No privacy as there is no curtain/frosting between the bathroom and the beds, so toilet in full view when in use, same when taking a shower, fine if your a couple, but not great when you're travelling with a work mate. Kitchenette, but no equipment so what is the point. And I wonder when the front desk staff, will be told that they should not sleep in the chairs at the check in desk, and grunt at you when you ask to check in, and lastly some signage would be good, it is often helpful when people wish to locate their hotel.

Great apartments! very clean and new! Top furnished and very quiet! Big room with big window with great view. I live at 26 floor and room was very nice. Free wireless internet in room (high speed) real wooden floor in room, real marble bathroom (but without bath, only shower)

Service is Non existence. Could not get room keys, had to get houses keeping to open doors. Waitting upto 20 min for them to arrive. TV Didn't work. Could not communicate with receptionist. Got woken up late evening so they can room clean.
