Our stay at Silavadee resort in their ocean front villa was amazing- their service, facilities and dining options were exceptional. The resort was clean with lots of staff to keep it well maintained. We had a housekeeping service twice a day, where they would replace our towels and change the bed sheets each night. When we would arrive back to our room from dinner, we would be surprised with cookies or Thai snacks on the bed. On top of this, the complimentary snacks were absolutely phenomenal- in the mini fridge, soda, juice and water was refilled every day, along with dried mango and coconut cookies. We were so well pampered! Their restaurants offer both Western and Asian cuisine. One thing that was particularly memorable was their breakfast- their food ranged from your typical breakfast foods, such as eggs and cereal to Thai rice, noodles and porridge. All the ingredients they use in their food are grown organically and locally. We stayed here for 5 days and didn’t get sick of their food. Another thing that was very admirable was the way the resort preserved and protected the natural environment around it- the pool, boardwalk to the beach etc. was built around the rocks and trees. Overall, our stay at the Silavadee resort was absolutely phenomenal. Their workers are well trained and polite- we were always greeted with warm smiles and offered anything and everything to make our stay more comfortable. Thank you for everything!!! We will return in the near future.

Just one of those perfect luxurious stays. We had the pool villa and the pool was a good depth and size, especially the additional side pool which was in the shadow and a lower depth was perfect for children. The breakfast great. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly

Had a wonderful time at Silavadee! Staff are incredibly friendly and were so so generous. They gifted all the guests small treats each night, and the homemade Khanom Ping cookies were my favourite! When i was leaving, they gave me like 6-7 packets to take with me back to Australia. Will absolutely come back! They have the cutest resort cat, his name is Chai and he is very polite and keeps his distance/ not disruptive. My only advice is to get your massage in town rather than the resort spa. Spa's in town are wayyy cheaper and way better. Other than that it was gorgeous. Would recommend :)

Truly amazing accomodations. Only issue we had was the fitness center was small, crowded, and had few machines. Also, we had one load of laundry done and it cost 1500 bhat. Impressively expensive.

The views are lovely as are the staff. They are always available and wanting to make sure all is perfect with your stay. The two restaurants (Thai and International) are lovely and fairly priced (apart from the wine). The resort is built into a hillside and so the paths are steep in some places but if that is difficult to walk, the staff offer electric buggy rides to get around. The location is a little secluded but if you download the ‘grab’ app, it is easy to book taxis like Uber.

The facility and location is optimal! Thailand strives to offer up some of the best hospitality found anywhere in the entire world, and property and the staff is some of the best anywhere. Everyone seems to love and appreciate their job, and this reflected each time you have an encounter with any employee. You are always greeted a huge smile and a kind hello. It’s very amazing and endearing.

The pre-arranged airport transport was very clean and comfortable. The check-in process was wonderful. The staff got us to download the Resort App. We used the app everyever.for making bookings, ordering food and viewing menus. We stayed in one of the Ocean Front Pool Villas. The uninterrupted ocean view from our private infinity plunge pool was spectacular. The four food & beverage options were all amazing. This is where we met Manee - one if the chefs. She gave us a Thai cooking class and was one of the highlights of our stay. The spa offers great services. We left feeling wonderfully relaxed. Along with the vast array of complimentary activities, wonderful food and beautifully genous people, Silavadee hadc everything we could possible need in a resort.

Loved the pool view Villa ! Such an exceptional property and would be a 5 star rating but the only thing I think was that the food choices although an exceptional offering weren’t executed to the level that it read on the menu. The breakfast restaurant staff although really Loveley did struggle with English and sometimes there was a wait or wrong things arrived to the table. We also did a 5 course rooftop dining experience and the seafood was a little overcooked and lacked flavour but the staff and service definitely made up for it. All other things like the villas were AMAZING! the staff and service received was 5 star the only thing that wasn’t up to the 5 star level was food. Would happily return again although

This was our little piece of Heaven for a week. We had a villa with a pool, but not one of the ocean view ones. It was perfect. We had privacy and could choose to take a dip at any time day or night. We also enjoyed the private beach with its snorkeling gear and kayaks. Do be aware that the coral is close to the beach, so you really should plan any water sports for high tide. Having said that, there is an amazing variety of fish and coral mere feet from the sand. It is perfect for snorkeling. We also kayaked to Chrystal Beach, which is a low-key public beach.

Anniversary trip

We chose to celebrate our 11th anniversary at Silavadee Resort. We were glad that we stayed here. The service was excellent. I could not think of anything Sri complain. Staff was friendly, always said Sawadee when seeing you. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with selection of food and tasty breakfast. Aonny, the breakfast restaurant manager, and other restaurant staff were always welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. The house keeping staff worked tirelessly to clean the room in the morning and do turndown service in the evening. I think it was a nice touch. The two infinity pools had amazing ocean views. The property had private beach. What else can you ask for?

Loved using their app to text w lobby/concierge. Private beach was a nice touch, however water was a bit choppy. Great service from Aonny at the Star and Moon restaurants. Great service from Billy at Height restaurant, he even taught us some more Thai language.

We absolutely loved staying here for 3 nights. We booked the tropical pool villa with a partial ocean view, and it was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. The bathroom was spacious with a gorgeous stone bath tub. The bed was so comfy - best sleep I've had in months! The sun, moon, & star restaurants had everything we needed with lots of veggie options. I highly recommend going to Star and dine during the sunset - it was absolutely spectacular. The food was delicious and the staff are so kind and helpful, we felt so taken care of. Walking around the property was intense at times because of the steep passageways, but the golf carts were great to transport us for longer distances or to dinner. The beach was just beautiful, clear water, and cleaner than Lamai. However, not great for swimming, as about 2 feet in it becomes quite rocky and dangerous to even walk around really. That said, there is kayaking and snorkeling if you're willing to go past the rocks! The beach was so relaxing and calm, it truly felt like a perfect getaway. The two infinity pools were amazing to swim in with a gorgeous view of the sea. All in all, a 5-star stay! Highly recommend.

The property itself is divine. Expensive if you want to have all meals there, spa treatments, and taxis/outings add up too if you’re keen to be out and about. Hiring a scooter or vehicle helps with this and gives some flexibility, as the location is not an easy walk to any attractions. Having said that, the resort has a long list of incredible features - 2x stunning pools, private beach (bring reef shoes), many included activities, happy hour, option to include breakfast (I definitely recommend doing this!) - so depending what kind of holiday you’re after and your budget you may not need or want to leave the resort to explore Samui. The spa and resultants on-site are stunning- also pricey. It’s a top class resort for couples (a bit less so for kids). Our room was stunning and the spa on the deck helped with those 33degree days! One small feedback was our drinks were forgotten a couple of times during happy hour at the pool- no complaints as they were gratis one of those times and staff were very apologetic. Loved the special touches of turn down service, fresh fruit, welcome pack and champagne. It was a very special holiday we will always remember.

Not enough superlatives to describe how fantastic our stay at Silavadee was. All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, from reception to the fantastic staff down on the private beach. Disappointing

It was a disappointment, the minute you arrive at the lobby you will realize that this isn’t a 5 star hotel. The whole resort needs renovation and new management that understands what “5 star hotel“ means. Even the sheets were worn out, moldy bed net and outdated room overall. The food was below average, spa was disappointing. Small unclean beach. Over priced, I don’t recommend it.

We came to Silavadee for our honeymoon and we had the best experience! The room was amazing, super modern with loads of little touches that make a big difference like a Bose speaker. The staff are lovely and always looking to make sure you are well looked after. A big shoutout to the breakfast which is incredible! We had the best time and the only thing we would like to see more of is some more Thai touches around the resort.

The villas are extremely close to each other with no sound barrier so if you have loud families nearby (which you likely will); they are now staying with you. it wasn't relaxing. I found the front desk to be depressed and generally unwelcoming. Villa design is very nice. Location is great.

Very formal and polite staff. We had an ocean view private pool villa. The view really is stunning. Whether looking out from the bedroom or in the inifinity pool. Just sublime. Main restaurant was great. We booked for dinner one night upstairs at the Star Bar and had a Shabu dinner which was awesome. Cocktails were also top notch. The room was very comfy. The deep soaking tub was a nice touch. It looks out over the pool. The only downside was the amount of leaves that dropped over the deck and pool, and quite a bit of bird poop on the deck chairs. The privacy was also not quite perfect, being able to see our neighbours, which most places in a villa like this completely block out. Great place to chill out and spend time with your partner.

Very romantic resort

It’s a beautiful resort. Love every part of it. Super cute villa. Buggy taking us to beach, spa and reception whenever we need. Made special arrangements for flower bath, private dinner and beach picnic, it is so romantic here. Great food selection as well

Romantic Honeymoon Getaway

Silavadee was set in a beautiful location. Our room was absolutely fantastic, we felt like we were in our own little wooded cabana in the jungle with our own spacious pool. The room itself was absolutely stunning, spacious and had all amenities you could hope for. The resort itself provided an amazing breakfast, two infinity pools, and a shuttle service to take you into town. I highly recommend this resort for your honeymoon if you want a romantic getaway!

Spacious resort room and great decorations. Excellent ocean view and private pool. They even provide literary books in the room for one’s enjoyment. Great service from the staff and excellent moon restaurant. It would be perfect if the windows were better sound proved so that the waves wouldn’t disturb one’s sleep. Thank you Silavadee!

wonderful view and comfortable villa and ice F&B for my stay. everything perfect. The only thing that should be bear in mind... the beach is not suitable for snorkeling. not deep enough and too many stones, I got injury.

A peaceful secluded resort

A secluded ocean facing quiet place. Our villa had its own private pool. Only thing we could see is the trees and ocean. The food was good. The staffs were friendly and attentive. The private beach has all the amenities but beach is rocky. The hotel is little bit away from the center of the town. They do have complementary shuttle.

Such a gorgeous, tranquil location. The resort staff were so friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay.

The property had many options with regards to amenities. Two pools, the hidden beach, restaurants, spa. Easily accessible by foot or buggy service.

We stayed in a pool villa and it was nice having our own pool. Also the hotel is built up the hill so have buggy carts to transport you to your destination. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Great but flawed

No house keeping service on the second day, (not until we got back to the hotel at 4:30pm, discovering the room wasn’t made), despite putting the sign up and telling the front desk at 7am when we left for scuba diving. Villa 39 can suffer from lack of privacy (direct sight from roof top bar to villa’s pool, bathroom and bedroom) and music from the bar is audible throughout the room until late, i.e. 10-10:30pm Shower heads at both of the villas we stayed were also leaking. However the florist was great, the boquet of roses for my partner were gorgeous. Big shoutout to the general manager, was genuinely nice to chat with. Need improvements on service and hardware to make it 10/10.

Everything was fabulous...from our accommodations to the pools, to the restaurants on the property and most of all to the attentive and always gracious resort staff! We would definitely return to this resort in the future and plan to recommend it family/friends travelling to Koh Samui!

A perfect honeymoon

The staff were so pleasant and helpful. We had an amazing villa with our own poll and a killer view. We slept like babies in the comfy bed with super soft linens and Silavadee offers choices of pillows if you have neck issues :) The small details from the beach bag, extra flip flops, to the lemon grass oil burner in the bathroom really make you feel special. My husband and I also would like to give the restaurant staff Kudos for the spectacular food and service!

Nice resort with friendly staffs. Two restaurants with very good food. Room is comfortable and spacious, the infinite pools are spectacular. However, I was very disappointed with worms and cockroaches in the room, it has spoiled my first night of my stay. In general, this is a very good resort to stay in Koh Samui especially for the guests who like to enjoy a wonderful breakfast which has a wide selection of oriental and western food.

Beautiful and comfortable villa

We had a wonderful time at this comfortably furnished villa set amidst picture perfect scenery. Kudos also to the staff who were friendly and responsive. The breakfast buffet is excellent as well. My only gripe is the aging furniture. Other than that, I highly recommend this resort.

Pros: Serene and beautiful view from main pool. Cozy private beach for activities. Nicest staff. The most delicious breakfast I’ve had for years. Fine thai food(dinner) for reasonable price. Nice pool villa. Good pillows. Try their tom yam flavored cocktail. Fast and smooth wifi. Cons: A bit worn interior by time. 30 minutes to Chawaeng area. Poor poor gym. Shuttle servie is running but not well scheduled(4 times to Lamai, 2 times to Chawaeng a day)

Nice beach with coral and fish.

Nice room and beach. Food is okay. Friendly staff. However, the fitness room is small and very hot during the daytime. The room service is good and quick responce. The price for Spa service is higher than expected (comparing to the service in the same class hotel).

We had the best time. So relaxing and enjoyable. Perfect resort and staff were so helpful and friendly. We'll be going back for sure.

RELAXATION AND PEACE

IT'S A NICE PLACE FOR YOUR HOLIDAY FOR AN EXCITING AND RELAXING STAY BY THE BEACH. THE FOOD WAS GREAT, ESPECIALLY THE BREAKFAST BUFFET. FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL STAFF.

Awesome, paradise hotel

Everything was great. Only caveat is that the beach is relatively small (but beautiful!), and ocean/sea is rocky, which does not allow you to swim in the ocean much (except for a bit of snorkling, or very close to the beach). Also, garbage was carried by the ocean currents to the beach, some days more than others, not sure if hotel can do somthing about that?

Wonderful Stay, Best Breakfast

We stayed at Silavadee for our honeymoon in February. It is a bit of a trek to get to (very high up the mountain and secluded). Our room was an Ocean View Pool room which was beautifully decorated for our stay. The private pool was a dream, especially during the hot day. The private beach was very serene, nice and secluded. The breakfast assortment is the best we have ever seen. My wife is celiac, and the staff ensured there was gluten-free bread and a lot of other options to eat. Special acknowledgement to Chef Mon, Ket, Tak, Nong and Tookta for taking care of us during our stay. I would highly recommend Silavadee for those that want to relax and enjoy the island away from Chaweng.

Stay here will let you feel like in the paradise. Beautiful swimming pools and nicely people . The deliciuos foods in star & moon restaurant will also give the 5 star .

Excellent resort for couple

Excellent view, the suite face to East to see the sunrise, see the moon at the dawn. Spacious private pool where u can really swim. More than a king bed to sleep. Golf car gives a fast and easy access to everywhere around the resort. But only a bit hilly to travel with a rental bike.

A place to relax.

The stay was very good. The property is beautiful with very friendly and courteous staff. You can think of a perfect holiday as the resort offers several activities and our room had sea view and a private pool. The villa was surrounded by green cover, chirping of birds and a very serene environment. One can ask for nothing more.

Lovely hotel overlooking an idyllic private beach

Silavadee was a fantastic experience. The initial greeting was very friendly and the honey and lemon welcome drinks were divine - I thought I was in a spa! We were then shown to our rooms personally by the receptionist who went through the main facilities. The room was large and clean, bright and airy and overlooking the sea. The bed was huge and the bathroom had two sinks and a large power shower cubicle, 5 star standard. We were given a complementary bottle of champagne upon arrival and every day were given fruit and biscuits by the staff. The (included) breakfast was one of the highlights - absolutely unbelievable! In a lovely, airy room overlooking the infinity pool and sea, you were spoiled for choice from breakfasts like American and Continental, to Thai or Dim Sum. The fresh fruit juices were great too. There was even champagne for the real divas :) One of the lovely things about this hotel is the aesthetic aspect. Both infinity pools looked like something out of a magazine or postcard. And the private beach, which we preferred as it was exposed to more sun, was one of the most incredible sights I've experienced. The turquoise waters lightly kissing the beach with larger rocks enclosing both sides of the mini bay, against a back drop of palm trees and greenery. Truly stunning. Finally I want to mention the hotel staff who were very kind and friendly. Also special mention to the two bar staff who took great care of us at the beach :)

The hotel is rated a 5 star but is in fact less than a four. No maintenance being carried out and resulting facilities very poor. Arrived and did not want to stay.if I could have got a refund would have moved on immediately. Very ,very poor for 350 pounds per night per room!,

The staff were amazing. they knew it was our anniversary and put flower petals on the bed and made us a little cake. Best place to stay on the island.

The rooms are better than the lobby

Shocked by the condition of a lobby. Looks like some hippie hut. Right after we passed by the beautiful entrance of banyan tree, we soon arrived at roadside, rundown 3-car parking lot. That is the entrance to the lobby:check in. At the same time we can across a wing of hotel rooms that very much resembles rundown motel rooms. Requested early check in but still have to wait over 2 hours to get our room. Compare to the lobby, the inside of the room that we got is in better condition. We booked an ocean view villa, and the room's main view is the rooftop of the villa in front of us. Through cracks on the sides, we got a flimsy of the ocean. Then I went onto check the website again. Found out that there is two other room types that you should book if you really want the ocean right in front of you. Can be a bit tricky, and definitely felt a bit jibbed. inside of the room as mentioned before was decent. Some minor issues. Like the wifi is not stable (first world problem), the mosquito net for the bed is moldy, and the shower head at the bathtub is really old (leaking water everywhere). Towels and amenities are good. The paths of the property can be quite steep at times. Can get tricky if you want to stroll around when it's wet and in your flip flops. Food was decent/good (better than what I had recently at another resort in Koh Samui). Overall staff are very friendly and polite. That really made up for many of the things that are not up to par at this resor

Our ocean view Villa was very nice. However, having travelled all the way from Ireland we found that they was a very noisy wedding taking place above us on the 1st night and we could not sleep, which was very unacceptable. The food in the Height restaurant was disappointing. Other than this the staff were excellent and it was very relaxing.

“LACKING PLEASE AVOID”

They also have a small private beach that you cannot swim in as there are many rocks and corals on the floor which can cut your feet, they do provide fins but what is the point of a beach like this. In summary this place is a cash cow as it is next to places like W and Banyan Tree so it seems like you are getting a great deal when searching online as for their cheapest room price you can get yourself a Ocean Front Pool Villa here with money to spare and so along with their stunning breath taking pictures it seems like a real bargain. So there is always demand to stay here, but once here their standard of service is way below 5 star resorts and they will give you a feeling that you are not valued and they don't care as most guests will only be here once, plus with their location close proximity to W and Banyan Tree and great pictures they will never be short of guests. You have been warned stay away from this place.

True 5 star hotel

We had an amazing stay at this resort. I really enjoyed the morning yoga and fitness classes with Mitchell, the fitness instructor. The 2 infinity pools are amazing, the private beach is stunning with clear and shallow water. The staff are very friendly and helpful. 1 morning we had a water outage and after that, our room was having issues with the shower. The hotel compensated us and the issue was fixed in no time. I stayed in the Tropical Pool Villa and loved the private pool so much. And the massive bathtub! Breakfast was amazing, they serve healthy options from gluten free cakes to smoothies and make-your-own fresh juices. The only downside for me was the location that is far from the shops and restaurants. It's about 10 mins walk to the main road to get public taxis to Lamai town or Chaweng. Luckily there are free scheduled shuttles from the hotels and they also provide taxi services. I would definitely stay here again, worth every dollar.

truly relaxing

Stayed in an ocean front villa with pool - certainly not a plunge pool it was huge - for 8 nights. the villa is very luxurious, quite, private and totally relaxing. 2 restaurants on site, shuttle bus into town - as it is not within walking distance of any main shopping area, a small beach very rocky need shoes to swim. Staff all very helpful and friendly. 5 star resort, well priced.
