Beautiful. Perfect romantic getaway

Was very convenient to stay at.

Great property. We normally stay further down Collins Street but due to the F1 we’re unable to stay in our usual hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, the great food and the comfortable rooms. Also, it was much quieter meaning we had a restful stay. We will certainly be returning to Sheraton Melbourne. LOVED IT!

Lovely room, great staff check in and check out very smooth. Terrible view of building next door with view directly into tradies staff room, that was left with lights on all night, was a little confronting when opening the curtains seeking some natural light in the morning to be caught eye to eye with a fellow in a high vis vest!

Fantastic accommodation and staff

The staff throughout the business were fantastic. In house restaurant food for breakfast and dinner dining was outstanding. No need to eat out if you don't want to. Only let down was quality of the towels in the bathroom. Room itself was a great size as was the bathroom. Great bed and heaps of desk space for working if required. Will definately look to stay here again next time we visit.

The spa is not hot !!!

Excellent staff and a very comfortable hotel.

Very comfortable hotel, right in the city centre, near the Parliament building. Staff were excellent. All very professional, friendly and helpful. We had a small problem with our room and it was sorted immediately we made reception staff aware of it. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel didn’t solve my issue with the charges at the time of checking out…..there should be a $100 plus a refund of the discrepancy…..haven’t heard anything from the hotel yet !!!!!!

I liked the overall look and feel in the Sheraton although I was supposed to get city view and was instead put on a side wall with the side of a building to look at and a tiny section got a slight view about 12 inches views but the most disappointing thing was I picked the Sheraton because it said it had a pool hot tub and whirlpool, spa and sauna and I know my 84 year old mum loves hot spas but it’s been 25 years since she had her last one so for her 84th birthday I booked a few nights there as she’s never been to Melbourne or been in a plane so To our disappointment there was no hot tub or a whirlpool just a pool and a spa joined together so the temperature of the water was cold and when I first noticed I told reception who told me I get engineer to look at it and when he did apparently he claimed it was 29.5 and there’s no way it was that and more like 19 or 20 then when I said there’s no change and they then said they would contact the engineer again and he claims it now was 32 but there’s no way it was that and just a tad warmer than before so now it was like room water. So obviously mum didn’t go in cause she hates cold water so in the end I asked the front desk if I could get a partial refund as we didn’t get a chance to got

A decent stay.

The Sheraton Melbourne Hotel is housed in an older building, giving it a charming, slightly dim atmosphere that may not appeal to everyone. Our suite was decent; while it lacked the sheen and modernity of newer hotels, the comfort of the bed was a significant plus for me, which is ultimately what matters most. The hotel's location is fantastic, within walking distance of the city's major attractions, and we only needed to use Uber once when we opted to dine at a restaurant in a more distant neighbourhood. The hotel staff was incredibly courteous and helpful, from the reception to the friendly faces in the breakfast restaurant. I want to give a special shout-out to Amanda, who greeted us warmly every morning during breakfast, making our experience even more enjoyable. The breakfast options were quite good, and my wife and I looked forward to it each day of our five-day stay. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend the Sheraton Melbourne Hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant stay in Melbourne.

Bathroom design needed to improve but very clean

Hotel was great! Very walkable to lots of dining, shopping and the Australian Open grounds. Housekeeping did a great job and service was unmatched!

Rubbish in room Dusty Mould on some pillows and dirt or something on other pillows Refused refund or partial refund No in house parking you have to cross the street and motel is shared with resident appartments Definitely not worth the money

Our stay at the Sheraton was a delight, from the moment we booked and discovered we'd been upgraded to a deluxe room with free parking and breakfast, arrival and check-in, the attentive service and quiet luxurious room. The hotel is in a great location. Unfortunately we ran out of time to try out all the facilities. We'll just have to go back. 😉

Melb stay

Thought it was lacking coffee/sugar/drinks/minibar in room, given it was such a nice room. Also there was no bin bags in the room. And also my money hasnt been refunded.

I was disappointed with the bedding in my room and also the condition of the bathroom.

Highly recommend this hotel. Super clean and comfortable. Close to great restaurants and bars. Will definitely stay here again. Stayed on the 8th floor and the smell filtered throughout this floor was divine!

If I was being picky, I felt that the jacuzzi in the pool area should be seperate to the pool and kept at warmer water temperature

I had a wonderful stay at Sheraton Melbourne. My room was well appointed and flawlessly clean. Staff were professional, courteous, helpful and friendly. In-hotel dining was good. This Sheraton is a nice option if you prefer a little more boutique/intimate feel than some of the larger hotels that can feel more impersonal. The only disappointment was that the sauna/steam room is not well-maintained - the thermostat is broken & inaccurate (so the steam room is too cold to be effective) and there are many broken/missing tiles, both of which are well below the standard of facility expected in a 5-star hotel and detract from the overall experience.

Buffet breakfast was ordinary

I enjoyed my stay in the beautiful opulence of the Sheraton. The only room for improvement I can see is raising the temperature of the water in the whirlpool so it is warm.

Convenient and central

A wonderful stay, easy check in process, wine and chocolate for our daughter’s 18th with a beautiful handwritten note and the breakfast, magnificent.

Hotel is in the centre of the CBD area. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Room is spacious enough for a family of 3.

Good choice

The facilities are very old, and I didn’t realize it was next to a pub before booking, which caused quite a bit of noise. There is no on-site parking, and I had to pay an additional $35 per day for overnight parking at a public lot across the road. Almost forgot, they also charge extra for credit card payments.

We stayed at this property thinking the Sheraton was supposed to be a 5 star hotel well it left a lot to be desired! Only positive’s were location, size of the rooms & cleanliness. The downfall was the attention to details or lack there of; tv was not working consistently & the room phone was broken;handset did not work could only use speaker option. On check in Cheryl was fantastic although did not know layout of rooms so had no idea where the city rooms were located & we had to come back to reception & change rooms & then new room wasn’t exactly city view either. She did offer us complimentary drink on arrival & a drinks voucher which we used but wine served was quite average! Another negative is the lack of staff training; both guest services & concierge had no idea where the nearest medical centre was & told us to go to a pharmacy as there could be a dr there!! They offered no assistance to find one or assist in any way. Concierge had no idea about where the tram stop for free city circle tram 35 was & sent us to wrong place! These things really are things guest services should know. SHERATON get your act together WE WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN.

Really disappointed in our one night stay. We arrived and checked in at 6pm. The air conditioning was running and the room was cold, made the appropriate adjustments as per the thermostat instructions. Still cold 30min later so we called guest services and someone come to our room and assured he the problem would be resolved. We then went out to a beautiful restaurant for dinner and arrived back to our room to a cold room still at the same temperature. Once again called guest services to make them aware the temperature hadn’t improved. We were then reassured the problem would be resolved and it would take 15min to improve. At 11.30 contacted them again after the phone was unanswered for 15min. Told once again problem would be resolved. Temp was on cold cycle all night and morning and just as we went to check out at 11am the heating come on. Really disappointed to say in 5 star hotel with the cooling on for the entire stay. Explained the situation at check out and got a sorry thanks for staying with us. Poor experience

Lovely check in experience but hotel was very old and pretty average overall

It is in a laneway so not the grand entranve style hotel, but only one street away from trams, pubs, coffee shops and food. All within the free tram zone, which is an excellent service the city of Melbourne provides. Also leas than 2 mins walk to the old trolle tram 35 - melbournes tourism tram - also free - go melbourne

Fantastic stay, the could not have been more helpful, polite

I think I have stayed in better 4 start hotels than this. The room was ok but there was hair on the pillow. The arm chair had a stain, the bathroom was too old, some motels would have better bathrooms, paint chipping off, and the body wash was empty. I called room service 6 times and it remained answered, i complained while checking out to Maleeka, she apologised but didn’t seem to care much.

There was an issue with the light beside my bed that made it unable to turn off all night, which could not be fixed until the next day and really affected my sleep. Other than that it was very clean and comfortable with a great pool.

I did not make this booking. And yet I was charged for it. The hotel will not provide refund. Spoke to hotel manager and she was extremely unhelpful.

Very convenient location and very friendly staff. The bathroom was dirty and we were moved to a new room which great but that bathroom was dirty too. We didn’t have time to request to move again. Little bit disappointing as the room was quite expensive.

Family was looking forward to buffet breakfast, but it was quite small and only average. Hotel faces a carpark. For the price we paid, it did not feel like a 4.5 star hotel. The common areas felt cramped and unimpressive. Nothing was bad, but we did feel disappointed for the price we paid and what we were expecting.

Nice hotel, close to everything. Easy to walk to the Australian Open.

The hotel was lovely and clean, the rooms were spacious. The location of the hotel was perfect and conveniently located to everything we wanted to do.

The aircon had to be changed by staff we had no balcony

Luxury at a great price

I had an amazing stay. Great location. Clean rooms, good food at the restaurant. Pool and steam room are the icing on the cake!

Was really disappointed with this stay - booked two rooms for our family of 5 , check in was at 3pm but the adjoining room wasn’t ready until 4.30pm so we were given another room on the same floor which was fine until we realised it had a view of a wall & seemed dark & not inviting. Our corner m room had a nice view but there was mould all on the bathroom blind & the roof paint was tired & chipped. Room service issues in each order - was rectified each time but still frustrating. We were told a cocktail (that was over a hour late) was on the house but we’re still charged $24. The pool was lovely & the staff were friendly & helpful. For the price I expected much more & wouldn’t stay there again.

The room service / in-room dining could be a little better

Amazing. Said it was our honeymoon and my 30th birthday. When we entered our room we were greated with chocolate cover strawberries and a lovely notes aswell a voucher for 2 free drinks

Really friendly welcome and a lovely room

The vanity plug got stuck, the internal blind in the bathroom remained permanently open so we had to use the toilet in full view, the cloth bed head had brown head stains, there was an mix up regarding who we were on arrival and how many nights we had stayed when we departed, the air conditioning was a bit annoying at night, we expected Netflix to be available without having to access by our own phones. The staff were very pleasant and helpful

Comfortable stay in Melbourne CBD

We spent 3 nights at Sheraton. It was very conveniently located on the fringe of the CBD. Parking opposite was also handy. The room was comfortable and clean if basic. Breakfast was excellent with a great range of options in the buffet.

Large room and very comfortable bed. Close to dining, theatres and shopping. Will stay there on future visits to the city.

Hotel was booked as a present for another person. 3pm check in awkward for early morning arrival. Bed - 5 stars Layout - 3 stars. Awkward having to reach over desk and television cabinet to open and close curtains. Bathroom- 2 stars - bath deep enough but uncomfortable for height challenged people if they wanted to lie back and soak. Toilet brush needed, as any defaecation that doesn’t make it into the water because of the bowl shape needs to be assisted to go down. Interesting to have two toilet roll holders with full rolls, but only provide a note pad with two sheets of paper Room service - 3 stars. Time between ordering and delivery good. Room service personnel friendly and professional. Food quality and attention to detail average. Fries were cold, missing aioli condiment and wrong drink delivered. Ordered soda water and was sent tonic water. Oysters were amazing. Staff in general- excellent

First time we stayed at The Sheraton and we were very impressed with everything about our stay.

The service was excellent, the staff were all professional and friendly and the buffet breakfast was great! Will definately stay again.

The staff we so very lovely - thank you! We would've liked to have known the Atrium was closed for a private function upon check in though. Some little things could do with an upgrade, given the cost per night - a much better hairdryer! And power points, or USB outlets near the beds. Thank you, again, staff were brilliant

Service was not good, room wasn’t ready upon arrival, when we got in our room there was a note from the hotel for a different customer on the table, found a hair in our food and their fix was to get us another plate. Overall nice facilities but service was terrible

Staff were not helpful at all or had any knowledge of events occurring that would impact ability to get to hotel or parking. The elevators took forever and often full when trying to go down to ground. Breakfast was not organised and poor instructions given. Room felt like there was no air circulation even though dan was on. Would rather stay elsewhere.

Excellent stay. People were so friendly and accomodating. Beutiful surrounding, great breakfast.

The pool was lovely and clean. Most Staff were very friendly. Parking was super easy. Room was initially not set up to accommodate the number of guests I booked for but was remedied once they were made aware of. Dining options are too restrictive especially if you are vegetarian and we had to retreat to room service as that menu was better suited for that dietary option.But all in all a good stay
