Good but old

Tuis is a first 5 start hotel wher I got spotted bed linings. Uou can see it was great hotel 10 years ago but mattresses pretty old , spotted bed lining and breakfast has no western way meal style and I understand because there are only few foreign guest. Mostly occupied by locals.

Good 4 star hotel. Could be 5 star but got old spotted linen and some other small things. Breakfast is good but overcrowded. Mostly asian food type.

The property looks nice as a building, but there is lack of furniture and poor decoration however for the price I paid it is acceptable

There is a metro stop in front of the hotel. We enjoyed the convenience of using both the metro and uber from our hotel. This hotel had the best Gym and Pool facilities we experienced on our trip. The breakfast was also delicious with nice local touches of Shanghai and Western style breakfast. Would highly recommend.

It was the perfect location and the food was excellent.

I booked two rooms and ended in an apartment type which is fine for the first day, next day the give me other apart which I don't want,and the reason because they are fully booked. The apartment is very cold ,low floor and I complained about it and they still saying they are overbooked. I don't appreciate it and I will never recommed this hotel. I would for sure file a complained about this treatment. Please avoid this property as my experience is very negative. Poor view smells old, dirty

Overall is good, such as cleanliness, comfort, location to public transportation. BUT the room was full of smoking smell even thought I reserved for NON-smoking room.

Good Hotel in great location to local transport.

The hotel was nice although getting a tired with ripped curtains etc in my exec room (3960) I do need to call out the exceptional service from one of the front staff Ricky. I had a travel problem and he dealt with it for me, without I am not sure I would have got to the airport in time for my flight. So massive thank you Ricky!

Good choice

Located just outside Tangqiao station on Pujian Road, this hotel is 40 min away by DiDi to Pudong airport for your travel home. Everyone at the hotel was so kind and provided good service, one in particular helped me get a lint roller via delivery!

总体来说还是很好的。 就是房间不太隔音，晚上如果旁边房间比较吵都听得到，比较打扰休息。

I really like that the location was close to Science and technology market.

Most of the sockets in the room don't work. The carpet is not clean and curtain is broken.

The person Kitty Li who clean my room did a good job. Restaurant price is way too high.

Terrible hotel bar - food quality could have been much better

The sofas is stained, the desk phone, the safe, the volume control in bath room, the portable mirror, the right desk lamp in the bed room ... are not working.

Lobby staff didn’t know how to handle guests and peak time traffic. I was in the line waiting for check in, many people cut in front of me and the reception staff didn’t attempt to stop them. And the next morning 6:30 am at breakfast, there was a huge crowd in the breakfast buffet. Once again staff couldn’t control the crowd, allow them to take excessive amount of food per person (ie, one kid took a whole plate of eggs, yogurt...) resulting no food left on the counter. I was literally searching for 40 mins and couldn’t find one single cook egg. In the end I realized that the food never reached the counter, as soon as staff brought them out from kitchen, people grabbed them on the way.

This location was great. It was easy to get around. Very clean and turndown service was great. Concierge was very helpful and it was worth the rate. The hotel was clean and all the amenities were amazing. Wife even used the salon and it was magnificent. Highly recommend this location of Sheraton.

A stay over in Sheraton

Overall is the stay over at the hotel is alright. However, the name of Sheraton happens to be confusing. We took a cab to Sheraton but the driver took us to another Sheraton that's nearby. End of the day, we have to lug the luggage for 5 minutes from one place to another. Not that it is far away but if you need to lug the luggage with full of things on hands and walked under the rain in the middle of the night, I guess the experience was not so comfortable.

Not long enough in Pudong

We overnighted and although the rooms are spacious and clean it may need an upgrade in the near future. It was built tone Grand and still is with Sheraton signature of comfort all over it. Thanks and a good stay - I like Shanghai.

The bathtub is not what we saw on Expedia website. Some of the lamps are out. Overall experience is okay.

Fantastic stay. As expected at a Sheraton. Reception arranged cakes as it was our birthdays.

WIFI is difficult to log on and is slow. AC works slowly.

Sheraton hotel is located in Pudong, 40 min. by taxi from ShangHai Pudong airport. Easy to go to any place in ShangHai downtown.

hotel is huge but a little dated

The hotel is dark. I was expecting better but it wasnt. The air con was hot. Breakfast was terrible. I was expecting better hopefully they can change to be brighter.

Nice rooms, location close to metro. Busy, noisy breakfast area. Gym is only OK. Public wifi is slow and unreliable, good wifi in upper floor rooms.

Excellent experience

High end hotel at a central location. Very well maintained. Exceptional breakfast buffet. Fitness center is a little too small for the size and the population (was fine with my timetable, but could be a little tricky for others) and coffee at the lobby is outrageously expensive - but was not enough to lower the 5 star rating.

Room carpet is dirty, Smokers are everywhere, you can smell it in the rooms. furniture looks dirty I would not rate this hotel 4star, maybe 3

Great Place for a Short Family Getaway

It was Golden Week in China so it was crowded at breakfast but other than that we had a great stay. Sheraton Grand Shanghai Pudong has a great location as Tangqiao subway station is in front of the hotel. There were choices to go by subway, taxi or Didi. The room was good sized, cleaned and comfortable. The pool and workout facilities were well-kept. We had a wonderful 4-night stay there and will go back again for a short family getaway

The hotel was in a good location, the subway is 2 mins walking. I was disappointed because the rugs had stains all over and the hotel wasn't that clean in general. I don't understand how is a 5 star it looks to me a 4 star. Staff were very friendly.

Comfortable experience

Not bad but nothing to rave about either. The staff although friendly they stick to the rules laid out and do not budge even if it meant winning a lifetime customer. For instance will not provide advance check in even if rooms are available. Most do not speak English and do not have basic understanding of the language which is rather annoying especially when calling the front desk with a request.

Disappointing for a 5 star hotel

There were several things...the mini couch in my room had a huge stain in the center that made me not want to sit on it. A hotel employee put me in a cab that usually costs between 18-22 RMB, however, the cab charged me 65RMB because they didn't think I knew any better as a foreigner. The hotel denied any involvement, although the cab they put me in was sitting in front of the cab line, and the hotel did not put the first two people in line in the front cab. They also charged me for breakfast when it came with my room; they did remove the charge after I informed them. Lastly, when I was feeling ill, I put my do not disturb on my door as I didn't want the cleaners coming. The cleaner instead called me when they were cleaning the room next door to see if I was there. When I answered she hung up on me. I called the front desk to ask who called, and they confirmed it came from the room next door. So I went next door (it was open), and asked the cleaner. She denied it until I told her I called the front desk and they told me it came from that room. Then she said she did call and asked if I needed my room cleaned. The staff also did not seem catering to foreigners and instead acted annoyed.

The hotel is conveniently located in the commercial center of Pudong. It's right next to a subway station. It's a nice and modern hotel suited for both business and leisure.

floor flooded

During the stay, I was slipped in my room and hurt my lower back. THe reason is due to the room was flooded during my shower. I can't believe it happened to 4 to 5 star hotel. The staff did help to clean afterwards, but it's really inconvient and it hurts my lower back and noboday seemed to have a concern about that. It's a bad experience to stay in Sheraton Shanghai.

This is a great hotel. Staff is friendly and attentive. Rooms are clean and modern. Only slight downside is that it is located a distance from the heart of the city.

i am a big fan of sheraton and stay there as often as i can this time it missed the mark 1) the worst is the bathroom where you have one those toilets with glass doors that only covers the frame partially letting noise and smells pass through 2) horrible views ( unfortunately that is the problem with 99% of hotels in shanghai to be fair) 3)very "uninspired" staff in f&b and gym 4)good front desk and concierge

The hotel is very nice, I was travelling for business so paid more than I would have for personal travel, but the cost was not much different considering how nice the hotel was

Decent hotel in Pudong.

It was in general a pleasant stay. The staff was welcoming. We checked in at 3AM.

Not so happy here

No swimming pool , because of maintenance.No wireless intenet in the room. First room they gave me was dirty and had a broken toilet. Something wrong with airconditioning because outside temperature is 12 degrees and inside my room i have 27 degrees. Two times i got a guy in my room to repair this, now its 25 degrees.....Thank god it is not summer time...

Ok but go elsewhere

Good location and looks like it has all the correct things going on..but there is no Wifi in the rooms, the wifi in the lobby is patchy at best and the lobby computer acess is terrible, for this calibre of hotel this is unacceptable. Rooms were nice enough.

A very nice hotel - the pool was really good after a day outside in 38 C. A good location for train and airport. I will book here again when I am next back in Shanghai.

It was okay and par for this type of hotel. But shower and TV were not working properly.
