Reserved 2 queen bedroom, got two twin beds. Tad uncomfortable. Front desk was extremely difficult to communicate with. WiFi was not easy either. Needed two levels of help which front desk was unable to grasp. We loved our stay there 6 months ago. This time, was no picnic and not as relaxing. The food and service at restaurants were excellent.

The stay was very good. The ambience was perfect. A special shoutout to Chef Ravi and Shradha for taking care of all our small needs and requests. We will definitely revisit the resort again in future.

Lovely place to stay!

This was our first time in India! Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Everyone was friendly and accommodating and checked in on us regularly. They even helped us coordinate with the airport when our baggage was lost! The room was bright and airy and clean! They provided ample water in the room and replenished it each day! We visited the restaurant several times and it was delicious every time. The spa was relaxing and lovely, we got massages.if we needed a taxi they helped us get one, even from the airport to the hotel when we first arrived via e-mail! Overall they made us feel very welcome in a new place! Thank you, Malika & Nithin for all of your help throughout our stay!

Sheraton stay was lovely and special for a lot of reasons!! Although the beachfront rooms are not a thing here, kids would love this property - it has a gorgeous lawn for kids to play and nice outdoor play area! My 4 year old and 1 year old had lots of fun here. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable all the time. Food was delicious as well. I would definitely recommend this property for families especially with toddlers / younger kids.

If not about the connect to the beach and tons of greenery, its not worth the cost. Food served has to be changed as I was served too salty food, tea kettle was smelling very bad, attention to details in washroom were missing. Again with the amount of fee what is charge, its a disappointment.

Lil slice of paradise

The resort is a large property with beach access and they have a lot of greenery (esp. Frangipani trees) which make it look gorgeous. We got a seaview room with a fantastic view overlooking the pool. It's a great retreat if all u want to do is hangout with family and lounge around the pool or beach. The service was really fantastic! From the restaurants to the front desk to house keeping, to the musician...Akshay, Neeraj, Arif, Kshtij, Maria, Imran, Subash, (I could go on!), made sure we felt very comfortable and that made our stay all there all the more special! Would def recommend and I would go back the next time I'm in India.

There was a big event happening so our cottage was so noisy that we had to switch from our cottage which we paid a fortune to a tiny room. Very dissatisfied. Why do they take reservations when they expect loud music all through the day and night?

Beautiful property!

Excellent location and beautiful grounds! Service at the buffet breakfast was exemplary. Service at the C-Salt restaurant as well as pool bar left something to be desired, especially on the weekend. The manager and staff were open to hearing feedback. The rooms were clean, well furnished and room service was fabulous. I’d definitely stay here again.

- They say they have sauna and steam room - There is no sauna at all - Steam room is available ONLY with a massage appointment. - After complaining loudly they did provide the steam room "complimentary" - I deliberately look for resorts with these as it is one of my main activities every day. - I was totally fooled by this fraudulent behavior. - They gave me a garden room instead of the sea view room I had booked. - They tried to pass it as "an upgrade" - I don't understand how it was an upgrade as I wanted a sea view and there was no sea view - Then once again after complaining they shifted me to a room with a sea view which was mostly obstructed.

Perfect getaway

I had a wonderful stay at this resort. Cleanliness and Covid protocols were in place. All staff were very courteous and service was spot on. Only thing is that I was given a room with a tiny garden which was kind of claustrophobic for me as the whole idea of choosing this hotel was to have an open balcony.

Poor experience with Sheraton

I have called reception for the lost charger and they confirmed they have found with a rider that it cannot be sent to you at Bangalore as per company policy. Strange to know that your hospitality is so poor with guests, where if by mistake you left some important item at your property and it cannot be sent to them as per company policy. One has to travel back to collect from different city... Surprised I have spent Rs 70K at resort and they are asking for Conveyance Fee for the sending it back. Other smaller properties are more courteous than this. This gives very poor experience with Sheraton as a brand. Please do keep this in mind next time choosing this Brand.

If you want to be pampered...choose Sheraton Grand

If you want to be waited hand and foot and feel the need to pampered for few days, just do yourself a favor and book Sheraton Grand, you will not be disappointed. I would have to say that this is arguably the best hotel in Chennai at the moment and if you can spar few extra bucks upgrade to the sea view rooms to indulge in a get away that will leave you with fond memories. My family thoroughly enjoyed their stay and can't wait to be back. The rooms are well appointed and the level of service is what makes Sheraton stand out compared to other peroperties......

We were a big group with 7 Adults & 3 Children. It was a wonderful experience with Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa. Totally recommend this place for a relaxing vacation with Beach access & a clean swimming pool. Breakfast was great with lot of variety.

Pleasant stay, very nice friendly staff.

Everything was so good and perfect. I booked 4 rooms. I got 1 room at 3pm, but they gave remaining 3 rooms around 5pm. I'm really upset with this.

Outstanding resort hotel

It's a resort hotel, but for a business traveler, it is a good choice for stay - about 30 minutes drive to Chennai center, but at night you stay literally next to sea shore in a modern hotel with friendly service and good facilities.

Nice property, needs fixes and staff training

Large sea-shore property with sprawling grounds, convenient to Mahabalipuram monuments. Helpful staff. I am a Marriott Pt member who got upgraded and was given freebies, which I am thankful for. This is my first negative review about a Marriott property. Four reasons for disappointment : 1. :Sunday brunch : After the lunch was mostly laid out, the food display area floor and an in-floor gutter were being cleaned, creating a foul stench and health risk! The chef was very nonchalant about it! 2. The light switches in my suite took a PhD to learn to operate, an 'engineer' sent to help could turn off one light only by cutting the wire to it and asked me to sleep with the other light on. 3. It is a pain to find the way to the Garden Level rooms. The one small elevator to service that floor has cleaning carts parked to it. 4. New Year Eve dinner buffet was late by 1.5 hours, the New Years Day buffet by on hour.

Sheraton Grand Chennai is the definitely the best 5 star property on the ECR Chennai - Pondy strech of the road. Awesome property. Excellent Service. Fantastic Food. Cannot get better than this. Keep it this way Sheraton Grand !!!

Great Resort atmosphere

Great weekend getaway for Chennai. Great service and food quality is already pretty good for a new hotel.

Food was good . new property so everything is nice and clear . Check out was slow , checkin was even slower . Luggage handling was terrible. Had to wait nearly an hour to get luggage in the room . While checking out nobody came to pick the luggage up and after repeating requests twice , we decided to carry the luggage ourselves. Two front office ladies , came running to help . There is a intent to do a good job but then there is a proces and communication issue .

Something that finally fills the void in ECR...

Yes it sure was an amazing stay for a short break away from the City of Chennai! Very friendly staff all round, great looking hotel and nice amenities. The upper level sea-facing room make a world of difference & is a must!

Would think twice, not ideal or tourists

Very nice staff members, great food in restaurants, comfortable bet, quiet location. The hotel fails in the following: -concierge services : no excursion activity offered , no Options what to do in the area. Only way to do something is through hotel cabs, min charge around 45€ for that. - lack Of hygiene by waiting stuff. They touch your glasses, Plates , no gloves used. - bathroom full of limescale , doesn’t feel cleaned. I know water is hard here, but still. Stains on most furniture and even on bed linen

Good to stat with 2year babyp

I had a very comfort stay in Sheraton. Special thanks to Ms.Gowthamy bcos of her I had a pleasant stay with my baby.The room was clean and it was good to stay with 2years baby in a garden view by observing the ants with the curious the staff was kind and polite I shall visit again

Truly amazing hotel and staff

A fantastic place which I can recommend to anyone traveling to Chennai. This is a true 5 star hotel into every detail and the staff is nothing short of amazing. I am traveling to Chennai again in June and I will for sure stay there again. Oh. Almost forgot. The dinner buffet is to die for!

Excellent hotel

Top-Hotel with high quality in every aspect. unfortunately, the first day, the swimming pool was closed - the pool actually being one of the main reasons to book the hotel. I would have expected some compensation for that. Anyway, otherwise excellent.
