convenient hotel in Chengdu. Comfortable. Nice staff.
A little bit disappointed with the breakfast taste
city center
enjoy it
The staff and service was great. Pity they're doing the hall again and the main entrance is blocked
Good location and great free breakfast buffet!
Conveniently located near to Metro Line 1, Luomashi station
This Sheraton is in urgent need of an update - not what you’d expect from a hotel associated with this name. Friendly enough staff and perhaps for the price it’s what could be expected.
Hotel by construction site
The hotel is very clean, but the bed, desk, and chair are uncomfortable, and the windows are very small in some rooms. The main problem is the location -- as of January 2022, the area all around it is under construction, and there are no restaurants, bars, cafés, or shops nearby. The closest convenience store is a long walk away. The staff was great, though, and very kindly moved me to a room with larger windows and found me a more comfortable desk chair.
great location, great breakfast, wish AC in room was an option
Christmas trip
Great service, nice location. Furniture is on the older side, but comfortable and clean. Christmas buffet was excellent and breakfast versatile.
Good !!
great stay
We stayed for five days as part of a holiday vacation. Service was excellent: hotel manager Sarah took good care of us while personally checking in several times about our stay. Employees Davis and Damon also helped to set up excursions and gave advice on best places to visit. Food was also very good- a combination of Chinese and Western without being too spicy. Our only complaint was that the pool area was a little worn and the water was a bit too cold for our liking.
Service slow in restaurant. Good location. Long way from airports
Very few staff could speak English
Unfortunate experience at Sheraton Chengdu
Very poor internet connection Majority of staff do not know basic english Bed bugs in the room
Good service
Good service and clean hotel
Good location. Friendly front desk.
It is very strange to me that two rooms were booked with King bed, but while checking in only one was available. I was told to have one room with separate beds which I denied. Then our one room was upgraded to sweet room with a commitment to have same charges but at the time of check out one room was charged higher. We were in hurry as we had to catch flight but now we checked at INDIA & found one room was charged higher then the booking rate. Please reimburse the excess amount charged to us. The sweet room air-conditioner was not at all working despite checked by engineer at midnight. 2nd day I forced to change the room & luckily I got normal room with king Bed. Request to reimburse our excess amount charged. Two Rooms were booked in the name of Shashi Sharma & Rakesh Ghansiyal, Check in : 30th august 2018, Check out 2nd September 2018
good for business trip
Breakfast was good, bed was comfy, staff are helpful, (tho other customers are pretty rude), decent gym and pool with sauna and steam room, close to metro station (just 1 block away).
Still value for money
I was an excellent hotel and is a little old fashioned now. Breakfast was reasonably good and the room was well maintained with a good shower and clean towels. I told the conciarge the hotel should have dealt with the mildew.
Comfort in Central Chengdu
Very good location, comfortable walking, world-class shopping and close to the metro. Hotel itself is quiet not much space to lounge on ground floor. Fitness Center is more than adequate. It is well-worth paying extra for the breakfast which is sumptuous with many healthy choices.
Low price to value ratio 性價比低!
The hotel is very old and located in the middle of no where. (although it is in city center, there is nothing interesting around the hotel.) It is under renovation with loud noise. I am assigned a room on low floor. Ear plugs are provided in the room because of noise from the bar. I ask for a change of room, then it is only possible with a surcharge. Pictures seen while booking do not quite reflect the true condition of the rooms.
Ok Hotel, but would stay elsewhere next time
English of staff is very limited. This is a dated hotel.
Nice Stay
Well appointed hotel in a very convenient location, hard to go past if traveling and exploring Chengdu
Acceptable but below expectations.
I booked for room with twin beds but was told at check in that only king bed room was available. I had to demand several times for twin bed room before my request was finally granted. Service overall from concierge to front desk to housekeeper was acceptable but not at level one would expect from a Sheraton. It's reasonably central location but surroundings not the best. Furniture and furnishings and bathroom are acceptable but dated.
Great service, great location
They are serious about providing service and continuously asking for your opinions. I spent Halloween in it's restaurant, it was great fun. All personnel manages English very well.
Hotel in central Chengdu close to transport links
Recently stayed at hotel, and the food served was very good, and rooms quiet and clean. The hotel is about 150m away from one of the new metro stations (Loumashi on line 1), and you also have access to taxis and buses if required. The Metro now links the Airport to the hotel, but you need to change twice, but takes about 50 minutes but is very efficient and a good price (currently 6 CNY). I used the pool and steam room/sauna which was very quiet. There is no "local map" given by the hotel, which makes it difficult until you get your bearings, but walking to Tianfu Square is about 10/15 minutes and to Wenshu Monastery 15/20 minutes (or just 1 stop on Metro). Hotel still looks great, although now slightly dated. There is construction in the vicinity, but there is construction everywhere in Chengdu. As a central base for a few days the hotel was good, with excellent food.
highly recommended
Enjoyed and will return to same hotel
Great .... comfortable and clean rooms. Polite staff.
Excellent hotel
Stayed there for 3 nights for holiday. Excellent location with a metro station just round the corner. Room is spacious for 2 and clean. Condition is good. Fitness centre is well equipped. Served international buffet breakfast. Overall we had a very pleasant stay.
Great location close to the center of City. Traffic is an issue but not unlike other large cities. Very safe. Walked miles exploring.
TV noise
my only issue was the TV sounds came through to our room
Friendly and Helpful Staff make it a great stay
I stayed in Sheraton Lido Chengdu over 2 stretches in Sep 2015, as a base for my visit to the region. Had a great stay. Staffs were very friendly and helpful in arranging transport and advise for the visit in the areas. Although there was a little problem during check out, it was resolved quickly and all is well. Looking forward to staying here again in future.
Stay at Sheraton Chengdu Lido
Comfortable stay although the hotel is little old.
Great hotel in Chengdu
Hotel stay did not start too well: We arrived on a rainy day but door keeper won't let my drive stop at the front door and made us stop away from the covered area so we had to make a run in the soaking rain. Same on you Sheraton door man!. Then we go inside and found out that Expedia screwed up our booking. Expedia BOOKED THE WRONG TYPE IF ROOMS!!! So frustrating especially we booked 2 months in advance. My confirmation from Expedia is for 2 rooms with 2 single beds each. Expedia sent booking for 2 rooms with 1 king each. They didn't have what we want available. Called expedia 4 times and waited 10 minutes each time and cannot get through. Unusually high call volume? really? at 6:00 am Saturday US eastern time? Call was dropped each time. after 10 minutes wait each time their machine asked for confirmation number. I entered it and it asked for my telephone number and told me I have entered my own telephone number wrong then dropped my call. 4 times. So this exercise in futility burned 40 minutes of roaming charge in China!! @ $2 per minute. And no resolution. Hotel staff was good enough to give us complimentary roll in bed. Otherwise the Expedia mistake would have cost me $180. Moral of the story: Book with hotel directly when traveling abroad. Expedia will hang you out to dry. But after that, staff was able to change my room type the next day and room hotel facilities was great.
Awesome service
I am very impressed by the service at the front desk, and especially the concierge. They are extremely helpful, and genuinely friendly - which is rare in China, especially I travel to various cities frequently.
Good Walking Hotel
The Sheraton is in the heart of Chengdu and central to a number of tourist sights such as temples, a monastery, the main shopping district, Wide and Narrow Alley, Mao and museums, all within a 15 minute walk. Bank of China is north ten or fifteen minutes, convenient for changing USD. Fruit stands and noodle joints are everywhere. BTW taxis are very inexpensive. Most everyone seems happy and friendly, not only staff but the man on the street as well. Careful, though, streets run north-south right around the hotel but soon go at a 45 degree angle, which can get tricky; if your a walker bring a cheap compass and grab a map.
Good
Fantastic stay! Nice hotel, convinent location, lovely stay
Good hotel
Good hotel, a bit old but comfortable. Nice swimming pool and gym facilities. The service was remarkable. Very Important Information for people working in China, if you pay via the website, you won't get fapiao (official chinese invoice) from the hotel and Expedia will claim they have no office or partners able to provide a fapiao to their own customers, which might be true? but is very annoying and should be noticed when you book. Fortunately the reception manager was kind enough to provide me a fapiao, the hotel staff has been extremely helpful, but I'm not thanking hotels.com for this annoyance!
Convenient hotel in city center
Staff was excellent. Wonderful experience. Doorman gave me an umbrella when it looked like rain, waitress signed me up for 20 % discount, close to subway and easy to catch taxi. Loved my time in Chengdu.
I-Quality Chengdu Sheraton
Great overall, some ingress of outdoor fumes causes some discomfort when i was at the desk to work on my laptop.
A hotel with poor training and management
Upon checking out, I was asking for an invoice for my stay and the hotel staff would not provide me one. They claimed that I paid my stay through expedia.com, and I should get my invoice through expedia.com. After about 15 minutes discussion, a manager at the hotel finally agreed to talk to expedia.com to resolve the issue. However, two weeks went by, and I have not heard anything back from the hotel yet. I called Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide headquarter in the U.S. to ask for help. A agent at the headquarter tried to call the hotel to explain the situation, and the hotel could not respond properly due to lack of understanding in English. The agent had to send an e-mail to the hotel, and I am still waiting for an answer after more than two weeks. What I have observed is that although the facility is modern, the staff members lack the proper training and attitude to help the hotel guests for any problem. They seem to care about the problems described to them in a training menu, not any issue that they encounter in the real world. This type of behavor ultimately comes from the hotel's poor management. I am very disappointed.
Great service
Enjoyed the breakfast, great range of food. They even gave my wife a complimentary birthday cake for her birthday.
Great location
Staff were all very friendly, spoke English. Great shopping at Tianfu Square, about 20 minutes walk from hotel.
good hotel great location
Pleasant stay. Hotel close to Tianfu Square.Staff friendly and courteous. Will stay again.
Staying in Chengdu, China
Breakfast has a lot to offer but is worthwhile if you can eat non veg
Top quality
Very clean top notch pool but the best buy far was the staff, super friendly and helpfully everyone spoke good English. There is a subway station less than a block away and cabs were never a problem.
The Staff at The Sheraton Lido Hotel "The very Best There is"
The staff go beond the call of duty to help with any thing no matter how small, I left money in my room on the table and it was put to one side but never missed one cent ,I will defentley be staying at this hotel again,Very clean ,
Good but no pool :(
All-in-all a good hotel but very disappointed that the pool was closed for an extended period of time for maintenance. This should have been reported on the hotels.com website... instead of having beautiful pictures of the pool. For our family, this was a big downer as we like to soak in the pool after a long day of sight seeing.
we had a great time at Chengdu.
we had a great time at Chengdu. 2 days staying at Sheraton hotel which was a good choice. great location. staff was very helpful. I don't mind to choose the same hotel if I would go to Chengdu again
Sheraton Chengdu Lido Hotel Rocks!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They spoke english. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was soft and comfortable compare to Chinese standards. Food selection exceeded my expections, a large selection. The hotel was centrally located in Chengdu. The spa, gym and indoor pool was outstanding! I would recommend this place.
Unbeatable price
I would like to take a one-day tour but I was completely unfamiliar with the city. The hotel staff was mostly helpful in setting that up for me and I had a very good trip.
Remodeling

호텔은 만족스럽지만 아침은 추천하지 않아요
최고의 호텔
정말 최고의 호텔입니다.
I don’t remember staying at a hotel that was THAT clean. As if the room was brand new. My room on 28th floor was very nice, although the view out of the window showed mostly a giant Metro construction site. The breakfast was pretty good with a lot of choices. Location is close to Luomashi station, so it’s really convenient to get to the hotel from airport or train stations. However, there weren’t any shops or restaurants in the neighborhood, so you’d have to walk 2-3 blocks to get some food or drinks. Other than that, I’d probably stay there again.
Nice hotel
Good location and very comfortable room with cleaning environment.
